Pink Mage
196, Pieces in place

196, Pieces in place

John had invited several of his friends to the party. He had gone to the political groups party of the neutral trade party however. Micky was only invited to the neutral’s party, after all he did bring the booze. However, he was not invited into the main section of the party, but the staff section. He brought the booze, but he wouldn’t get the chance to drink it, instead drinking inferior goods.

Obviously Micky was going to bring Prin for protection, Kux would be coming along as well… for obvious reasons, and training, and Maymay had begged her way in. Micky… was slightly henpecked. He needed some testosterone to balance the party out asap.

Things were hectic, but more so the family matters. He was told through the grapevine that Abigale was missing for the past few days. This could have been expedited but it was apparently being hidden from him by other members of the household. Prin however, owed her loyalties to Micky and kept him updated in spite of thinking that he had already heard about it. He had not, and was rightfully angry about the fact.

To compound matters, apparently his family had been hastled at the shop by some thugs. They were quickly chased off, but threatened to be back ‘for their money’. Micky wanted to smack his head into a wall. The dark hand knew better than to threaten those shops run by nobles, because they were basically already a part of his kingdom anyway. Gotta play the field, and Micky had already paid up protection money and ‘union fees’ whatever those were, not to mention membership dues. As a noble shop owner he had to play both sides of the field, even if he was an ant.

Micky could only theorize that this was a new up and coming group of dumbasses. They couldn’t even be a gang, since the moment they used that word they would be crushed. The area Micky lived in was ruled by a gang that was only two steps removed from the Underking themselves. This meant it was a pretty good place to live even if the area wasn’t even a blip in such a massive gang’s search spell.

Twas unfortunate, Micky had to deal with these idiots. Not Micky, but Prin and the guard. It was actually pretty hilarious, as they saw the giant [Bobcat] protecting the store, and Prin came over at the comotion. Either one could have taken out the runts, and yet they kept pushing till the guard came, even acting as if they were big shots… Even the gaurd couldn’t be bothered, and they hadn’t done anything yet, though had the guard dealing with them at the time known they messed up a store just a few rows down, they might have been [Dead] already. This was another gang's turf after all and not a small weak one either.

But they didn’t and it wasn’t to be, they would leave the gangs to figure it out amongst themselves later. Micky’s parents were pretty shook up though so Micky milked it for all that he was worth and he was compensated with another [Guard] [Beast Token] for Mags, skipping the cue by a few weeks. Micky was still pissed, but it was out of his hands, and already over with.

All of this and more were just simple thoughts he was trying to distract himself with rather then look at all the hens preening in front of himself. Though he couldn’t and didn’t want to look away from Kux, not that she minded.

Kux was in a low cut dark grey bodice with a low cut dark blue dress showing off her cleavage to its fullest. While not a bar girl’s dress, it was upscale and long flowing. This didn’t mean that the design didn’t accentuate her advantages, quite the contrary, it was well known what she was thinking by wearing it, though she would only be going home with one man, and Micky was looking forward to it.

She had frills lining and guiding the eye, a curved V shape that brought the eye down to her groin with another V shape that accentuated her hips for days. Honestly it was all Micky could do not to get grabby. The dress flowed down from there with an odd cut to it that showed off some left leg, but still covered the right leg to keep it classy. She wore sandal ‘pumps’ to give her some lift to her short stature as well as a rather large handbag for storage, he did not want to know what was in storage…

Prin as Micky’s designated guard, wore ceremonial armor to the occasion. As she had stated, it was ‘boob plate’ though actually it was mostly leather and some male. While she was covered completely, it was far more showy than Kux’s provocative dress. It could even be said, that he ceremonial armor left nothing to the imaginations, or even, made one imagine more things when worn. It had Niple indentations on the bust section for goodness sake. Prin swore she didn’t notice that when she purchased it, Micky sure did when he enchanted it for her to save money.

The leather bust and belly were accentuated by mostly decorative mail. Micky sure as hell knew that he wouldn’t let her out to fight if that was all that was protecting her. The materials alone would be more than enough protection for the little girls, but they would probably be robbed for wearing them though. The mail accentuated the bust section, as if the bust sticking out as far as Prin’s natural bust wasn’t enough. She also had Mail on the sides of her chest for flexibility as well as a mail skirt and mail leggings. Again, the mail was all decorative and wouldn’t survive a particularly aggressive dinner party let alone a fight. She also had a leather crotch plate, not a cod piece, that was contiguous with the rest of the mail, and thankfully was not as detailed as the bust or abs. She also wore a decorative, but functional blade that was stately but not flashy and a select few javelins in a quiver behind her back. Speaking of back, most of it was exposed with her coccyx showing as well as he lack of underwear, though she swore to Micky she was indeed wearing some, ending in a V shape just below her coccyx.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Maymay, was both more stately and more provocative then both… She had a high collared deep red dress that had a V shape… a V shape that went all the way down to her belly button and ending just above her pelvis. It even had to come in around her bust just enough not to show off what she didn’t want to advertise. The dress was tight around her waistline with a pencil long skirt that had a leg cut that ended above her pelvis. If Prin was swearing to every god imaginable that she did have underwear on, Maymay didn’t even bother. Though Micky could theorize how she might, he also didn’t want to think about it, he really didn’t want to… Ok he did think about it… but he tried not to. She finished up with open toe sandal pumps and a tasteful handbag that didn’t leave anything to the imagination.

Micky was wearing pink mage robes. Yeah, it was a thing. He also pinned his mage bage, which he had finally managed the 3rd dimension in, onto his mage robes. It wasn’t very useful by itself, however it allowed him to sharpen some weapons, a skill that wasn’t a [Skill]… yet… and a few other things. He could also spatially expand some bags though he wasn’t proficient enough to succeed yet. His robes also showed off all sorts of enchantments such as roving butterflies and falling feathers. It had two illusionary pure white birdwings. The wings were so white and pure they couldn’t exist in nature, literally. The illusion arts were renowned for such color schemes, though Micky was far from proficient. It also had a flaming circlet of literal flame coming from the silver circlet. The flame also had a minor compulsion that increased his mental capacity as well as made his desires more prevalent, all the better to enjoy a party. Not stopping there, the circlet and flame also made others become more prone to losing themselves in revalry, excitement, and intoxication while he was around. There were a number of other enchantments spelled into the robes, with varying durations from permanent to just for the party.

A flying carriage picked Micky and entourage outside of his building to take him and his entourage to the party. Not all of those going to the staff party were treated as such but many of them were, it was a show of power. This wasn’t to mention what was bringing in those that were going to the noble sections. Micky saw everything from massive metal battleships that spit flame to whales and sea beasts of massive proportions. In fact, none of what brought the nobles in were small. From the giant land beasts like snakes or tigers, sea beasts, like whales and octopi, to machines that defied magic like the battleship or steam zeppelin, to inanimate objects that defied all logic and reason like carpets, and even a flying lampshade. Why anyone would wish to be transported by flying lampshade to a party Micky couldn’t fathom, but he was told it was tradition that at least someone have a lampshade at a party. Still, they were apparently made for giants as they did not lose out in size compared to any of the other flying things…

Inside the party Micky was treated to the inferior, but still magically delicious, wine. He could taste the magic though, so it was pretty blatant it was the cheap stuff, since the higher quality wines could not tell where the mundane ingredients end and the magic begins. Micky quickly found the gossip, apparently two dukes were having a civil war, the bronze front was having a recruitment drive, varying nobles were fighting and killing each other down to ‘the last’ heir, nothing new. There was also such and such scandal of so and so that impregnated x noble, whether young and old, privileged and not, or just simply on the wrong side of the faction divides, again, nothing new.

Lastly, there was hushed whispers of new and intriguing opportunity. This is where Micky's interests lie. Quickly Micky figured out that even most of the other conversations were in code simply to state what opportunity was available. He couldn’t understand half the gibberish, and most of the social butterflies didn’t either, but at least Micky understood what was going on. Still, since he couldn’t truly break the code until well after the conversations were over, he gravitated to the conversations that were open about the opportunity. There was no way for him to enter in with the others, the power of euphemism was strong with these ones.

Still, he found himself engaged with his unique aspects on the northwestern front. Interestingly, they didn’t mention the nearly stalled war action, just the rich new land opportunity. It wasn’t even mentioned very much with the northern border being expanded or the western border facing a mild contraction. This one left him slightly intrigued and disgruntled as he was born not overly far from the western border itself, merely a quarter of the way down from the south, and not too far from the count’s land and one of many vacation retreats. Still, the border was vastly far away from his former home, or at least the shell that is left of it.

All in all the night went along swimmingly, though Micky did not find himself in a scandal unfortunately. Prin left the place mildly more dishelved then she arrived, but still completely functional if slightly, but pleasantly, flustered. Kux appeared when it was time to go, and Maymay was nowhere to be found. Though one of the attending staff had informed him that she was ‘quite fine’ and he could leave without her. She would return later. Before he left however, he was granted a gift for the wonderful night that ‘couldn’t have happened without him’. A small token of the young rich noble’s appreciation, that was something Micky wasn’t sure he could ever afford. It was a shielding ward enchanted into a broach that would protect him for one life ending attack… from a level 200 tier 4, and teleport him away if he so chose...
