Today was quite wonderful! I probably spent 7 to 8 hours reading. I know that isn't much, but it is a proper binge for me. It feels like things always get in the way of me going on a binge.
I think I'll probably do the same thing tomorrow.
I'm not finished yet. I'll probably read for 2-3 more hours after this.
In a sense. I am able to get into a state of 'flow' while reading. During this state, it doesn't feel like I'm reading anything at all. I just experience what the character in the story is experiencing and the hours go by unfortunately so fast. But that is the fun of reading.
I didn't read any of '快穿之位面养成记' / 'Quick Transmigration: Plane Development Record' today. This week, I hardly made any progress in this book.
I instead started a new book called 'Cultivating for a hundred lifetimes to ascension'. I really need to stop starting new books. Such a bad habit. But it is simply too addictive!
I think I'll probably drop 'Cultivating for a hundred lifetimes to ascension' for now. The MC has reached foundation establishment and it seems a war is approaching.
I don't know about you guys. But I'm not a huge fan of wars in all honesty. They can lead to some cool scenes and development. But I grow tired of the constant tension.
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.
I'm still unsure if I will drop this book.
This book is about a guy that has 'Hundred Lifetimes' book in his sea of consciousness. This allows him to go through rebirth after death. But the price is that he can only be reborn in his descendants bodies.
It also only works 100 times.
It is a rather interesting book!
I like it as of the first 87 chapters. But I didn't really read much of it today. Today I binged on a book called 'Extra's Death: I Am the Son of Hades'. This book is rather interesting!
The Novel's Extra is one of the few books I have finished. This reminds me a little bit of it. You have the MC who's world goes through a zombie apocalypse. He dies within the first few minutes of this happening...
He then finds himself in the body of a character from a book he read.
In this world. There are gods and people can awaken the bloodline of them.
The three most powerful gods I believe are Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades.
The first two are known for having children. But Hades doesn't.
But what is so interesting about this story is the start! The MC awakens the bloodline of the monarch of death. He gains a unique ability...
What is it?
Death!
What does it do?
It kills him!
That is it...
It doesn't come with any upsides. He just dies when he uses it. He then goes to the underworld just like any other person. But the MC uses his knowledge of reading the book to perform a ritual.
He performs a resurrection ritual with himself as both the target and sacrifice.
He then literally tricks the grim reaper into allowing this loophole.
This story is so interesting, He uses a precious resource to revive.
His 'death' ability evolves into an 'immortal' ability. He keeps both abilities. I just find this story a bit funny, the MC goes through so much shit. He tricks people into overestimating him.
I'm starting to think his favorite phrase is:
"I am immortal."
Due to the limitations of his ability. He has stacks of use for his ability. It isn't infinite.
Everyday, he gains 1 resurrection.
When he dies, he must also survive in the underworld. He uses this time to train and man... he goes through some insane training.
I just started this story today and I binged the first 77 chapters in one sitting. I don't know if you guys would like it. But I love stories where the MC has read the story they are in.
Especially, I love immortal MC's.
I'm not a fan of restrictions to the immortality. But it does add some tension to the story. There are moments where he risk getting wiped out.
I also look forward to seeing what his 'immortal' ability will evolve into.
