So far the goals are being met! Today will be a bit special as I will be doing a proper review of a book I think you guys will enjoy!
(Warning: This book may be harder to find!)
It is called '多杀我几次，我就无敌了'. This can roughly be translated to 'KILL ME A FEW MORE TIMES AND I'LL BE INVINCIBLE'.
It has been a few months since I have read it. I only read around 270+ chapters. But this novel is only like 300+ chapters. I remember stopping reading it at a satisfying point.
It is about a guy named Qiao Mu that has something called the 'Ouroboros Immortality Lock'. This gives him the ability to respawn after death. Sound familiar? If you liked 'Origin of Calamity' one of my books. You will probably like this. But the creator in my opinion made a much better use of the concept.
At least I think the book is better then what I wrote. There is also a major difference in the goldenfinger. The MC here doesn't simply respawn. He experiences a dream based on how legendary his death was and his aged body is brought into reality as he revives.
The interesting thing about this book is that there is cultivation. But the MC doesn't walk down that path at all. He is purely a martial artist. So by the time he is a century old. He has to deal with his blood and qi declining of old age. So despite being immortal in the sense that he will respawn.
He still has to worry about age. Luckily, he inherits a technique that allows one to build their blood qi over time like a castle. Another interesting point is that he always spawns outside the view of anyone and near his dead body. But he has the choice to pre-select a spot. So he can bypass seals or traps.
Basically imprisoning him doesn't matter. He welcomes executions. But this novel really excels at the humor aspect. It is probably one of the most funniest novels I have read. I recently remembered it and wanted to dedicate this stage to it. You can expect more novel reviews in the future!
So what makes it so funny? The main punchline which you might not find too interesting. Is the concept of destroying a family by the roots. Our MC doesn't keep a single identity at all. He pretends to be an entire martial arts family. Since he rapidly ages when he dies.
He pretends that the body after he revives is his brother. After that body dies. It is his father. His father's brother. His grandfather. The ancient saint of his family. The great ancestor of the Qiao family.
His entire 'family' has many ways of life. They do not fear death and they all try to die in glorious ways.
There is a technique called 'Demon Disintegration' that he masters which essentially cripples or kills you from using it. There is one scene in particular that had me laughing pretty badly.
Basically. It is a technique you can only use once in your life. But because the MC has died dozens of times and is ancient. He had built up quite the skill at it.
The author's tale has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
So one time he faces an enemy and they start to do the 'Demon Disintegration'. He then tells them they are doing it wrong and they are just confused at how someone could know so much about a crippling technique that you can pretty much use only once in your life.
Despite being a comedy. This story is a bit sad for spoiler reasons I won't mention here. But I highly recommend it! It is just hilarious seeing him keep up the acting for like 200+ chapters.
People actually believe his nonsense and think he is from a reclusive martial arts family. You have ancient powerhouses going like 'we need to find the island where his sect is!'. But they can't find it. Because it doesn't exist! xD.
The MC also learns techniques that help him further hide the truth. Like being able to control his dead bodies so he can play multiple characters from his family at a time.
It is just a really fun read. I highly recommend checking it out. You won't be disappointed!
Unfortunately. The book has been removed from Qidian. So you'll have to sail the high seas to find it. It is very unfortunate it was taken down.
I mainly just wanted to 'immortalize' it in this stage.
Since many people likely won't be able to read it. I wanted to store the memory here!
Now I want to talk about another book I have loved deeply and this one even has inspired me in my book 'The Legend of Axiom'. Although you won't see how it did so for quite awhile.
It is called '24小时拯救世界'. Which can roughly be translated to '24 hours to save the world'. Unlike the other book. This one hasn't been taken off the shelves. So it is still available to read. Just not on qidian I think. But on Tadu.
I have read this one to around chapter 779. It was there that I reached a satisfying stopping point and started to lose interest. But make no mistake. This is quite a fun book!
It is about a normal college student who has the ability to go back in time. But he can only do so by like 24 hours. Basically, at a specific time. His 'save point' essentially gets updated. But he had no idea he had this power until the entire solar system and his planet is wiped out in an instant.
He has to die to trigger his ability.
He thinks at first that this is a temporary power. Likely caused by the destruction of the world. So he tries to save everyone and stop this quick apocalypse. Besides his ability to go back in time. There are no supernatural powers at all. There are super soldiers and hidden organizations that he will need to fight.
But the reason I mentioned this novel was not to spoil you. It is to ease you into a novel that you can read right now! These two novels, while great. They are not translated yet. Some are even hard to find the raws for sometimes.
So there is yet another novel I want to talk about.
I know what you are thinking. Too many novels in a stage!? But nah... I'll probably do this more often as I just enjoy talking about the webnovels I've read.

So the translation is being done by 'iNoveltranslation'. The name of the novel is called 'Die, Replay, Repeat'. The chinese name is actually quite different if you would prefer to read the raws. But the translation is pretty good from my experience.
The chinese name is: 诡异难杀？抱歉，我才是真正不死.
This roughly translates to 'Weird and hard to kill? Sorry, I am truly immortal'. I think the chinese title has a bit more personality and is better descriptor of the story.
You can read this book translated right now! Up to like chapter 200+.
Now let's get into the review. It is about a guy that has the ability to go back in time upon his death. But he isn't normal at all. He has the natural ability to see creatures from the 'other side'. These are entities called 'specters'. They cannot interact with reality unless their 'rule' is triggered in some way.
The MC wakes up in an unfamiliar bed and hears his wife calling out to him that dinner is ready. He doesn't remember having a wife and responds. Once this entity realizes he can see 'her'. It manifests itself in reality and chomps his head off.
The MC dies and goes back in time.
He then realizes that the red message he saw on the ceiling that vanished wasn't just nonsense. It told him to act like he couldn't see these specters. So that is what he does. But she manages to cause him to jump by her unpredictableness and he dies again, again, and again.
He dies a total of 18 times and goes absolutely insane. So insane that he is no longer surprised by her presence and can pretend to not be able to see her so well that she can't interact with reality to kill him.
He then walks right through her body and leaves his home.
Only to find that the streets and skies are covered with eldritch horrors. But everyone else can't see them and are living a normal life. He is the only one 'cursed' with being able to see the other side.
The story follows his adventure uncovering the secrets of the world. But there are other people with abilities as well. Some even have broken abilities like being able to copy other abilities.
But his ability isn't an actual ability and can't get copied. Because his ability is 'pain'. He can inflict the pain he has experienced on others.
He has experienced a lot of pain.
I definitely recommend. The MC pretends his ability is 'prophet'. It is a fun read.
