Our brains are quite interesting. The brain named itself. But what else has it accomplished? Without a brain. You would never have been able to read these words.
But is the brain necessary?
In a microscopic world. You have beings that thrive without one.
The brain is a reflection of the universe.
Consciousness is so mysterious and magical that we don't really understand where it starts. We only know that it has an endpoint. But that endpoint is simply the exhaustion of life.
At what specific moment do you become 'conscious'?
Some may say at birth. Others say that you are controlled by your subconscious up until a certain point and gain real consciousness shortly afterwards.
My opinion is that consciousness has no start and no end. Everything is conscious. From rocks, to water. inanimate objects that do no thinking.
Even things with life like flowers, or trees.
But this is an essentially wrong definition of 'consciousness'.
What do I mean when I say that 'rocks' are conscious?
Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
It is due to the system.
[ECHO]
Think about it this way. Let us say you are on a team of people. An engineer, a programmer, and some factory workers. Let's say you are building a computer. You take metals, plastics, wiring, and rely on a power-supply to accomplish this feat.
There is a definite moment that the computer turns on and functions correctly. That moment is when you press the power button and it boots up.
But the computers materials are inanimate. If you consider consciousness to be awareness of external and internal existence. Then this computer isn't really aware of anything.
But a computer with the right equipment can do anything a human is capable of. It can store data versus memories. It can 'see' through a camera.
It has a certain amount of computation power.
This isn't magic.
We understand completely how to replicate this process and mass-produce computers.
So why can't we look at consciousness in the same way? The brain is simply a more monstrous biological computer. It has evolved to create a narrative and provide motivation in the form of fitness.
Just like how a neural network of an artificial intelligence can learn how to play a game from simply trying to increase its fitness. Even if it lacks hand-eye coordination, a grasp of spatial objects, and intuition.
It can still play the game.
Everything at its core is 'alive' and 'dead'.
Yin and Yang.
Think about it this way.
Are you 'alive' right now? Are you conscious?
What about your skin cells? Are they alive? Are they conscious?
You would definitely say they are alive (some are dead as well). But can you really look at things from the perspective of a cell? You have an immune system that is fighting 24/7 for you.
It is able to identify threats and act with extreme precision.
Is that alive?
You might say 'well, a skin cell is different from a rock'. I say, sure. But what about your bones? Your skeleton? Your 'body' takes minerals and nutrients to construct these things.
The brain is like the command center.
The main problem is we look at the universe from the perspective of a human.
The entire planet is almost like a living organism. We consider ourselves special and think bacteria and viruses are extremely small.
But from the size of the universe or even the galaxy itself.
We are no different.
Whether it is a human or a rock.
Our consciousness is just an illusion constructed to increase your chances of survival.
The material that makes us, us. It is no different from the material around us. Whether that be from what we come into contact with or consume.
What does this have to do with this technique? Well... the whole point of this technique is to create an eternal thread. Making your consciousness never disappear.
Transforming it into a idea. Making your ego like a rock.
A rock doesn't need to worry about survival.
It doesn't need food, or sleep.
It just is...
But even rocks can erode due to the elements.
Become both the force and the object.
Become unstoppable and ethereal.
A hidden existence...
Become mysterious!
