It is finally time! The writathon begins in 18 days! I have been brainstorming and running different ideas everyday. I have written and scrapped like four different prologues xD.
Zero progress...
But I plan on dedicating the next 70 hours or so of my free time to coming up with a first draft/outline for the writathon. If I end up coming up with something I'm proud of. I'll upload it right away.
If you have any suggestions for character names, lore and other ideas for the Writathon. Feel free to comment. You guys know me. I have always implemented suggestions from my readers into the story. I tend to write without a backlog. So I am very much in on the ride of the story as the reader. But I plan for the next story to hopefully be different.
I started this current story in hopes of getting practice in everyday on writing. You can only improve yourself by putting content out there. If you try to make everything perfect. You may never end up uploading your story at all.
So what is today's stage about?
Well... you have shown to have a very rich inner world. Especially 'Law of eldritch comprehensions'. I recently found out from a comment that they have read over three thousand books.
Congratulations! That requires true dedication.
They asked how many books I have read. I have a few different answers for that.
If you count webnovels. I have started hundreds of them. But I have only completed a handful.

These are the ones I read until the end.
I typically start webnovels with thousands of chapters. I get to around the 800 mark and put it on hold for an eternity. I estimate I have only read around a thousand books across my lifetime. A solid chunk of those come from children's/young adults books I read as a child.
Things like 39 clues, goosebumps, percy jackson.
I would often pick up random books and read them from the library.
Due to the nature of webnovels and their ongoing state most of the time. I hardly ever finish them. So I might end up reading millions of words. But only count it as reading one book.
If you are looking for recommendations. I often read chinese webnovels. So here are some I highly praise:

My reading schedule sort of looks like this. If you wish to calculate how much I have read.
Monday to Friday:
8:00 AM -> 6:30 PM = Work/Travel Time
6:30 PM -> 10:30 PM = Reading time
10:30 PM -> 11:30 PM = Writing Time
Saturday to Sunday
10:30 AM -> 10:00 PM = Reading/Writing Time
I read about four hours on days I work and eight hours on days I don't. But this schedule only really applies for like the last four years.
While I did get into webnovels during 2016. I didn't read as much as I do now.
Additionally. If you are interested in how fast I read.
I read at about 485 WPM at 75-100% comprehension.
The average webnovel chapter varies. But it typically takes me 1 hour to read 10 chapters.
So It'll take me a hundred hours to read a thousand chapters.
Unfortunately. I haven't kept a record of each webnovel I have read. But I am able to look at how much I have written!
So far 686,922 words have been written!
Across 487 chapters.
1,251 hours have been spent writing.
I wish I could look at my reading history... oh wait.
Royalroad also keeps track of that!
So there are 36 entry's on each individual page of my royalroad reading history. I have 12 pages.
So that is 432 different stories on royalroad I have started...
In combination with webnovel stories, qidian stories, wuxiaworld, novelupdates, and unofficial translations I have read. I estimate I'm somewhere between 1k and 2k stories started.
But I hardly ever finish a webnovel.

So what are we doing today? I would encourage you to create something of your own. We are constantly consuming things. But the spark of humanity really shines when you put your thoughts into physical form.
