Today I would like to talk about one of my favorite novels. It was originally written in chinese. But a translation is now available! It is called 'MY ABILITIES COME WITH SPECIAL EFFECTS'.

A guy essentially awakens his past life memories when he turns 17. But he has a special scripture in his mind that allows him to sublimate skills.

What does this mean?

Basically he can take ordinary skills and make them extraordinary. I'll give a example I found quite cool. From simply eating food he gained a devouring skill.

Once he gets a skill to mastery he can 'sublimate' it.

He does this to his skill and gets a poison immunity transformation skill. This makes him immune and even makes him recover energy from getting poisoned!

Here is a better example of the type of stuff you'll see reading this book.

The process itself is him experiencing something legendary in a illusion that affects his body in real life.

For example. One martial arts he studied was called 'Five Animal Hands'. When he got it to full mastery he was able to sublimate it to a nirvana feature. Basically regeneration.

But in the illusion he did this:

Mix the Golden Tiger Bone, Moon Bear Gall, Heavenly Crane Dew, Demon Ape Wine, and Seven-Colored Deer Antler in one cauldron. Coupled with the Phoenix Fruit, you can eat it every day for a year. It will allow your blood energy to luckily obtain the Nirvana feature. It can consume blood energy and let you recover from injuries.

I definitely recommend. It is one of my favorites!
