I read 'The End of the World: I built the Supreme Shelter one year in advance...' / '末世：我提前一年打造至高避难所'. I only read to chapter 79 out of 198. I am dropping this book!
Why?
Alright. I love apocalypse stories and the MC here builds one of the best shelters I have ever seen. But that is ALL THERE IS! It is just endless base construction...

I am used to the system giving out task. But I'm not exaggerating to say that so far, the MC has done like 25+ task already and it shows no signs of stopping.
I don't mind having contingency plans. But it'll just repeat certain task. He'll have food sorted out and then it'll want him to expand.
Over and over again.
He only plans for himself. But he might as well be sheltering thousands...
The MC also steals technology and kills others for the slightest benefit.
The MC puts way too many resources into a single base.
My main complaint is that the apocalypse hasn't started yet...
In these kinds of stories. I expect the apocalypse to start within the first 50 chapters. But he still has like eight more months of this...
I just wish the author focused less on base construction after like 15 task/missions. There is way too much of it. The author also introduces a 'soul link' ability to the MC.
MC basically merges with his artificial intelligence and gains its abilities. He uses it to mentally surf the web. But then it feels like the author forgot about it a couple of chapters later as we don't see the MC using it.
I'm also still reading '快穿之位面养成记' / 'Quick Transmigration: Plane Development Record'. I am on chapter 319. This one is still pretty good! I am satisfied with the direction it is taking!
The current arc reminds me of legendary mechanic. But the 'players' have transformed the natives bodies into puppets to use. It isn't a game. It is a real world.
Our MC gets revenge by allowing the natives to take over the 'players' real bodies for as long as they have used them.
