After homeroom, PE came around and Robin smiled when he saw Kevin there. Several other teachers were around with Mr Atlas using his stones to charge the field power.
After every energy that was known was charged they proceeded with class.
They informed the children that the start of this class would be special as a unique ability was discovered by the club run by Mr Atlas which could add a game system temporarily to those inside and that it could actually provide permanent effects by tapping into unused potential present in the body.
All the teachers introduced the effect of each stat and said that students shouldn’t immediately use it as the teachers would like to know stats, skills and traits in detail. They also said to keep an eye out for details as it can actually explain their powers in greater detail and reveal things they might not even know about.
They went outside and in the middle of the field the gamer space was formed and each class was divided and the teachers began to go one by one and handed students papers to copy all their status screens, skills and traits. It would be a very comprehensive analysis of a student's development.
Since they had to work fast, after about ten minute the students were all done and each teacher took a quick look through the traits and skills in case they had anything that changed the calculation of the stats.
“Hm, Marcus Kong, please come up.” he called.
The fat monkey stood up and walked over. “What?” he asked.
“Your giantification trait is throwing off your normal body size. It's the reason you're this big.” Mr Atlas said openly.
“How come, it just doubles my strength?” he asked.
“Strength means muscle development but constitution is needed to support that. Your transformation helps with but that is a trait that needs to be activated while the effect of giantification is a passive effect. Add 12 points into the constitution. Every 3 strength points you add 1 point to balance it out. Also add 4 agility and dexterity to enhance your joint and muscle flexibility. It should help reduce the extreme mass of your muscle without reducing your strength.” Mr Atlas said. “That would leave you with another 10 points that you can add as you please, I would suggest increasing your wisdom to at least 13 points as it will help with your studies in class.” he said.
Marcus grumbled but he did follow the instructions. When he accepted and fainted, it was clear that he did add wisdom to some degree.
Mr Atlas continued to call other students and instructed them in complementing their growth.
“Alright, those that need specific care are done, the rest can pick as you like but be mindful of the relationship between stats.” he said.
The students were released and they began to talk and work on their own stats. A lot of people wanted to load strength but they saw Marcus as an example of overly stuffing that so they divided it a bit better.
Robin had already done this and besides a single point that appeared possibly as a result of his body adapting and the potential point appearing, he didn’t change at all.
That said, he was watching Marcus. A 12 point boost in constitution using the gamer space system to enhance his skeletal and muscular structure is far more comprehensive than using external help like the bone supplement.
He actually saw the fat monkey releasing a lot of steam as if his muscles were swelled and were releasing water while constant cracking could be heard from his body as his entire skeleton was shifting.
It was small but he could see his body stretching a bit from the spine down to legs and the arms extended. Then a muscular shift happened and his ribs expanded after that causing his upper torso, shoulders and back to expand before his arm and leg muscles started to bulk up while his gut muscles kept getting smaller and more streamlined.
When the glow vanished, it was sure that the 2 meter tall fat monkey had grown at least 20 cm to compensate for the change in the skeletal and muscles.
He blinked and slowly started to shake his head as he sat up.
He eventually got up but felt off balance. He marveled at his own body that wasn’t as overly fat in width anymore. That said, he was really tall now and even looked like an adult.
Feeling the change he took a distance and activated his transformation.
His previous max had been about 9 meters but he kept growing up to 12 meters but Robin’s brows raised. “His posture looks more human and the legs look longer? Is the gorilla and giant traits merging even more or was it because the gorilla form limited his leg growth before like an actual gorilla?” He muttered.
The shape was less like the monster sized gorilla and now seemed just a little more like a human gorilla hybrid like one of the final portrayals of the cinematic monster in the 21st century before the appearance of super powers.
“This feels… right.” Marcus said and clenched his fist and began to roar and pound his chest.
Robin just shook his head and looked at the surroundings.
Many people who got specific instructions were getting up and they all showed happy expressions and were exercising their abilities with much better proficiency as if something on their bodies had fallen into place.
Robin, looking at all this, didn't notice as his mind began to run rapidly.
“So it isn’t imagination. That documentary on the ability factor has some truth. Abilities are getting so complex that our bodies aren’t able to completely adapt. Maybe the gamer space is humanity’s biology trying to figure out methods to fix this. If everyone supplemented their bodily structure with untapped potential and enhanced it, that improves their entire body's basic structure making it easier to adapt to the ability.” he thought.
Although his wisdom wasn’t a direct requirement, Robin’s own natural thought process needed that boost because by this point he would have already started to feel headaches but he looked from one person to the next and saw direct changes as if data was appearing in his vision of each person.
After some time he calmed down and looked at those that didn’t need direct change and saw they were finishing themselves. The changes didn’t need special care so it simply enhanced their bodies.
“Hmm… Kevin really should start training extensively or he might be in trouble a lot of the time.” he muttered but frowned at how Kevin didn’t seem to possess abilities to actually enhance his body's capabilities. That said, it was surprising that despite him being level 3, he had 30 stat points yesterday. He placed them in a controlled manner on his physical stats to push himself outside of common human strength.
“Alright everyone, we still have class to do so let’s get to the store room and start training. A lot of you had a lot of changes happen to your body so you need to adjust.” Mr Atlas and the other teachers started to call out and everyone deactivated their powers and headed to the storeroom to get their weights.
After school, the club gathered and as the doctor said, a lot of government people were ready to talk to them. Mr Atlas was already reading a lot of the documents when the students started to arrive.
Robin joined in and began to ask about the specifics.
“Well, the first and most pressing matter is the nether realm farm. We know for a fact that the plants are adverse to sunlight so they require a lot of indoor care. We want to work with Mr Knight to form a flourishing system of farms to be able to supply the needed plants and herbs for making the medicines.” one of the men said.
“You will probably need a lot of bone type ability users to help with that.” Robin said.
“Huh? Why is that?” the man asked.
Robin didn’t reply because the contracts weren’t signed and that was for Milo to explain.
“Well, besides the actual production, do you know what the actual five recipes he obtained are?” the negotiator asked.
“I know two. The bone supplement and the follow up recipe Bone enhancement pill. It is supposed to help weak undead and mortals with fully healthy skeletons, generally those that already underwent the supplement treatment, to strengthen and grow. I believe it said that the bones get denser as a result giving them a stronger internal structure.” Robin explained.
“What is considered ‘weak’?”
“From what I can guess, common people, trainees and vigilantes are ‘weak’ to an undead’s biological evolutionary state.” Robin said.
At that moment Milo appeared with Lola.
“Oh Milo, the negotiators were asking about the 5 recipes you had. I explained the first two.” Robin said.
“Bone supplement and enhancement?” Milo asked, to which Robin nodded. “Okay, the third is called Flesh Vitality Pill. It is a purely undead one which works on zombies that have eaten bone supplements to heal their skeleton. It gives their rotting body new vitality and removes rot and makes it healthier and stronger. This isn’t really useful for humans at all. The fourth is called the Bone Growth Supplement, it causes bones to expand in mass and length allowing people to grow taller. That is honestly pretty painful for living people but it is useful for people who grow muscles too big for their bodies as well as dwarfism. The last pill is muscle enhancement. It’s a nurishment pill which supplements a lot of nutrients but also uses supernatural energies from the mixture of herbs to strengthen the muscles. It has side effects though, it leaves the muscles swollen for a time after using it but if you use massage techniques that help blood flow, the time spent is lowered.” He said, finishing the explanation.

The negotiator was writing down everything as it went. “Great, the vitality one is uncertain but maybe life force users might benefit since vitality is generally commanded by life force. We do need to test that out of course but we need to take precautions considering what you said. Leaving that out of the mix, four very important pills really. Even bone growth is vital because a lot of people actually suffer from insufficient bone growth while muscles and organs are bigger causing a lot of discomfort. Can we talk about establishing a nether herb farm?” He asked.
“The contract for that is pretty off balance if i had to say.” Mr Atlas said.
“What do you mean sir?” the negotiator said, frowning.
“You are asking him to provide the farming methods and initial herbs and would pay monthly $10,000 dollars while he has to give the five recipes.” He said.
“Is that a bad deal?” He asked.
“Of course it is.” Robin and Mr Atlas said together.
“First off the recipes are Milo’s so he actually got a patent for them. Selling any pill requires paying him the patent requirements.” Robin explained.
The negotiator's brow twitched but he understood that patents are quite well monitored in today's time, especially big time ones which pumped millions of dollars throughout the world.
“Let’s talk about the farm section first.” He said.
The others kept walking in and took one side of the table with the initial four members and the teacher sitting down.
They traded offers for close to an hour before just the farm section was complete.
Milo personally would get $10,000 dollars while another 10,000 would belong to the club for funding. Farming privileges weren’t specifically for the government or that would create too great of a monopoly. Milo would provide seeds and growth methods to make large plantations if possible. He also asked that the pills be initially used for institute of disability treatments as well as regular hospital treatments instead of funnelling everything into higher grade heroes. After all, that is what the club was all about.
In return for farming privileges, Milo was also given the right to produce his own plantation and was given land, he accepted the land but he rejected actually going because it would require him to move out of the city and he didn’t want to do that. He said he would talk to his family to hire people to help prepare it all.
After Milo came Lola. The common produce wasn't even looked at, what was looked at was the LP oil.
It was very desired and there was basically no difference in question. Farming privileges and such.
Sadly, this was a far more restricted product. A lot of herbs and plants lived in nearly volcanic sulfur filled air, an environment that honestly was lacking on earth. Of course, many of these adapted from mortal realm worlds but they already adapted to that world. Bringing them out would, in turn, actually require controlled farming with extreme conditions and higher heat.
“This will honestly have to be regulated to a private product then.” The negotiator sighed after listening to Yez’s explanation about the herbs and produce and their growing conditions. “That said, what is the general production rate that you are able to achieve?” he asked.
“Well, since it became required as a cure for the boy, we have been constantly producing it. It takes 2 months to produce but most of that time is fermenting. At our current strength in our realm we produce about… 50 liters daily more or less. That said, sales of each bottle is by the liter.” she said.
“That means there is at least a good production, that is good. It won’t be an extreme luxury product at least.” He said.
“Oh no, that is definitely not a luxury good. A true luxury body oil would take me at least a year to make barely 20 liters in a single batch, one batch finished per month.” She said. “And if it was any secret recipe that the ancient demon lords of my realm possess then forget years, for you humans, a single batch might not even come out in your lifetime.” She said.
“Wow.” Lola said.
“Alright, we aren’t talking about those.” the negotiator said.
They decided upon a general price range considering the current dollar and fixed a price at the minimum of 500 and a maximum of 700 dollars. The other creams were less important and would price between 50 and 200 depending on the number of oils used that would otherwise go into the LP oil.
“Now, about the gamer space?” He asked.
“That is an ability of my club member that needs help activating.” Robin said.
“Yes, we got the details you turned in. I feel that it is a very useful ability that, honestly, the entire world needs.” He said.
“You are talking about the documentary that talks about how abilities are getting too complex for our bodies to handle early on right?” Robin asked. “We actually used the space today at PE and saw a lot of changes in our heroic course student body.” Robin said
“Yes, we honestly want to form schedules so that the space can be used. From the institute to actually going to other schools and helping the student bodies adapt to their abilities, this is honestly more of a solution to an entire generation's possible health crisis.” he said.
“That is true, we easily saw that today and yesterday when hundreds of psychic ability users suddenly obtained control of their mental abilities.” Mr Atlas said.
“Yes, it became such a massive event that it reached national level. Hundreds or even thousands of institutes of disabilities are asking to use the ability to relieve the pressure on the institutes at least allowing the dangerous psychic abilities to be discharged.” he said.
“I want to be able to help but it would affect my own life if I were to be made to go all over for that.” Kevin said.
“We naturally understand. First off, like we said, we want to make a schedule so that we can move people from other states to bring them here and maybe monthly, in a secure location, we can place the Gamer space to relieve the pressure on the institute. After that we can make a different schedule to slowly go about dealing with schools. It takes about 5 minutes at most to charge the space and you can leave so even a single day you can cover a good number of schools.” the negotiator said.
Kevin was frowning when he heard that.
“Sir, I understand that it is a health crisis but do remember that this is a negotiating table. Don’t try to force a child’s morals to work for free because I, as a teacher and a previous patient of an institute of disabilities, won’t allow that.” Mr Atlas said, frowning.
The negotiator coughed, “Right… so… what kind of price would you accept?” He asked.
“For healing at the institute we will regard it as a heroic duty but your request for schools, each school would have to pay at least twenty thousand each visit. This isn’t a heroic duty to save people and help those in need.” Mr Atlas said.
“Huh? How do you regard helping the institute as a heroic duty?” the negotiator asked.
Instantly the faces of the four main members scowled and Robin’s fist slammed down, “How do you ‘not’ regard it as that. Or is heroism to you all just fighting villains and causing collateral damage while you make celebrities out of the people who caught the guy causing problems!” Robin shouted, surprising everyone including those on their side except his childhood friends. “Someone who is an actual hero will help everyone including someone who is sick in the hospital. If you look at old hero comics, Superman was like that. When there was no danger, he would even go meet children in the hospital to raise their spirits. Why is it that no one today thinks about helping all these sick people? There isn’t even funding going to research cures and only now because of us four having a ‘desire’ to help them and we got lucky to meet Kevin and were lucky with the medicine and oil from the nether realm and demon realm that something that can help them came out of it. Why doesn’t anyone look at them?!” Robin shouted and slammed down on the table while his hardening activated and completely crushed the table making everyone jump back.
He was huffing while Lola came over and made him sit down and breathe.
The negotiator looked at him strangely.
Shoji stood up and sighed, “Sorry about that. Robin was born with a minor disability for his hardening ability and only cured it recently while his twin sister is regarded as almost like a genius because of her strong power. From a young age he has hated the fact that everything revolves around people with good abilities and there isn’t even mention of anyone with even a little weakness with their abilities as those are weeded out. Research isn’t even put into helping civilian class powers fully awaken their powers like we luckily did with our club members. Please understand that this is quite a lot of resentment from his own life.” Shoji explained.
“Oh… I see. I can do that but that child isn’t even in the heroics course.” He said.
“Yeah but this is a heroic club. Club activities play a large part in students' grades and basically everyone in the club has one or another type of energy to power it.” Mr Atlas said.
“I see, well if that is it then we can accept the heroic duty part as part of club activities. In this case, news reporters will report only the names of the heroic course members and the club name while the civilian course students will remain anonymous.” He said. “As for the price, that isn’t that exaggerated so it isn’t a problem for the state government to pay for all public schools. We just need to establish a schedule for it.” He said.
“One more thing.” Robin said after calming down.
“What?” the negotiator said.
“You should see if an actual hero can’t be in the surroundings when we do this. Don’t look at me like that, villain's are known to have a 70% higher chance of having bodies that aren’t fully adapted to their powers. Even more, they are born from people rejected by society, aka civilian level powers, who undergo stressful training to make their powers actually strong. Imagine if they hear about Kevin, a weak boy who needs help from others to activate the gamer space. It might be possible that even a braveman or supervillain rank villain appears to kidnap him. Just think of how much stronger villains would get if they used his power on their people.” Robin said.
Instantly everyone turned pale at his words. No one had thought deeply on that but upon hearing Robin’s warning, they got extremely cautious.
“When making the schedule, we probably can’t make a fixed schedule so that they find a pattern. The first few times we probably won’t have problems but as time goes on and news spreads, it will very likely get serious.” Robin said.
“Shouldn’t the kid be extensively trained then so that he can at least escape?” The negotiator asked.
“Yes, Robin told me through text before and I am already talking with the board about putting him in a special class. Problem is that his body's strength is rather normal. We likely need to activate and train him constantly in the gamer space to gain sufficient activity.” Mr Atlas said, shocking Kevin about the fact.
“Good, we will take this directly to the governor to see if we can’t get that kind of setup. Even just bringing a hero into the city is enough in case of an incident.” he said.
“Good. Before anything he needs to account for the safety of the student.” Mr Atlas said.
“Right, so most of the deals are done, can we sign off on the agreements?” He asked.
Mr Atlas nodded and they fixed the specific deals that required signatures such as Milo’s recipes and such. Every month the club would also get an additional payment depending on the number of pills produced and sold. The estimated value is small until high productivity is achieved but even then the initial value is likely to surpass $100,000 when a full month has passed.
They were given official permits and the club bank account information was passed on to them. It also acted as a permit for them to be able to sell their items but they required a medical permit to sell the pills because that is medicine distribution which requires state permission so that no illegal drugs are bought and sold.
This was fine with them and after it all ended they finally relaxed, knowing that monthly, they are estimated to get at least 120 thousand dollars, a huge sum of money that the club would definitely need to grow off of.
“Alright, now we just need to find someone with chi.” Robin said after everyone was gone.
“That is true, I’ll have to check the student body files to see if there isn’t someone even among the civilian class.” Mr Atlas said.
“Alright, let’s go, this is super important since we need it for the stat system!” Robin said. Like that they headed to the teacher’s lounge to get access to filter through the student body for students with their basic requirements.
