The cleansing had taken four month's but once it finished school life slowly started to retake its course but the mood of the American Hero academy was significantly more somber.
Robin and his club were extremely active with their club activity now however because the new clinic of disabilities had been made in the digital world to protect these poor people.
As the primary activity of their club, the group was almost constantly among them either acting like cheering groups, to talk or actually do something about their injuries.
Everyone set aside viable funds they had earned on themselves but the excess was gathered up to be used for disability powers.
Robin smiled at a child as he finished putting in the traits to fix the power. The poor child had an exceptionally large warp, calling him a pile of mangled flesh with a brain was more on point.
In all honesty, his natural power was just pure mutations. It was a group of horribly formed physical enhancements which wrecked his body. The system identified all the types and they were adding compatible physical enhancement traits which build off those traits.
That said, the system had said clearly that they needed at least 15 points in all but intelligence to repair the body.
He boosted the level up, it would damage the child’s initial potential if he desired to go down heroics but he would have a functioning body. Adding 15 levels to the child, he finally added the required points and all the stats appeared and surged into his body making it glow and began to move around.
Twisted limbs stretched out as the sound of bone cracking turned the stomach of a few in the room while the shape began to quickly change.
Robin smiled because he remembered the stats of this child. Besides wisdom and intelligence, everything else was 2 points. He had an extremely weak vitality but now it was shining brighter with a natural strength.
Soon even a skull took shape from the mass and then his spine untwisted and extended and finally his legs formed properly. They still heard a lot of sounds as the skeleton structure was repaired and then moved to different areas.
When it was all done, the light faded showing a totally different person that actually looked like the 7 year old it was supposed to be.
He was still bald but he had a proper human appearance. Even though his muscles and bones were perfectly shaped and healed, he felt very strange but he saw it and instantly began to cry.
The horrors this child must have heard or felt couldn’t be understood and the nurses started to console him.
He would need years of physical therapy and clearly he didn’t know how to walk. It was a literal rebirth for him but everything had come out well.
Robin let them work it out. They were hired staff dedicated to helping the psychological horrors that had been witnessed and working through it.
He walked around and found Judith confused as she looked at a wall of traits, scratching her head.
“Something wrong?” Robin asked.
“Uh… he has normal power but the system says his normal body can’t properly display it. It's like his power and his body are incompatible.” she said.
“Oh, I’ve seen powers like this. You have to do it like this.” Robin said and taught his sister to open the full trait web which connected the power’s traits in line with the normal biological traits and then mark them out in red or blue based on the reaction it gave. He made sure to have the system show only the first level failure so Judith can properly identify the source.
“Okay, let’s see. System scan for the fault.” Robin said.
Scanning
Scan has concluded that the trait requires more alpha traits. At the very least the traits must be of a healthy and athletic powerless human standard.
“Okay, it seems the incompatible traits are a result of them needing biological genetic traits of an athletic biology or a healthy powered biology.” Robin said.
“What does that mean?” The skinny patient said.
“It means your natural DNA and biology was born too sickly to support your natural power. We will change these traits for healthy traits found in powerless people. I believe if you wish to make your power bloom, you will need to upgrade these traits to traits of the same kind found in powered people.” Robin said.
“Why not make them powered traits from the get go?” the patient asked.
“That would drastically increase the price and as much as I would love to, we don’t have the resources to make everyone have hero level biology. We can make you very healthy, avoid your children from getting these bad traits by replacing them and you slowly grow with it.” Robin said.
“And improving?” he asked.
“You’re how old?” Robin asked.
“28.” He replied.
“You will probably have to depend on military service and money earned. Heroics are now limited to academy trainees, braveman and hero. Ranks in between are servicemen now.” Robin explained.
The man sighed but ultimately agreed.
Robin taught his sister to locate traits and how to work the system so that it would function in a more unique and encompassing manner to find good traits.
They slowly simulated the traits found in powerless and eventually found ones through all the layers of faults. He needed 13 powerless biology traits but these were singular and not extended traits.
As such, they infused 12 at once and then the last one after.
The result made the man gain a bit of mass and the pale complexion improved drastically.
“You will need some therapy and time to adapt but your stats are a little over average for the healthy normal person at 10 points. Give it some time, recover and then think about your future.” Robin said.
“Thanks.” He smiled as he got a nurse to help him look at a mirror to see himself. The skinniness had been filled out a bit and he looked happy. Robin checked what his power was because he had not checked it originally and he raised a brow. It was some kind of racial change but it couldn’t directly display itself.
Outside, Robin asked the system to simulate the person's body with robin’s traits by replacing his natural hardened rubber body with this and see the result.
Robin and Judith were both curious.
It ran the simulation until it was done.
Notice, a person possesses a unique physiology of a natural born divinity which currently lacks power and genetic compatibility with the user to display the complete form. Trait swap has improved compatibility by 30% resulting in a 35% compatibility with the original host.
“Divine physiology? What does that mean?” Judith asked.
“Basically it is the opposite of the digital goddess. The goddess is a divine soul without a body and this guy is an incomplete divine body without a divine soul. System, can you tell the specifics or is your sight blocked?” Robin asked.
This Physiology is actively trying to shield itself. Furthermore, the lack of realization of his own natural power further inhibits compatibility with the divine physiology. The core secrets outside of genetics cannot be discerned.
“That… is a bit annoying.” Robin muttered.
“Annoying? Isn’t it some kind of physical god. Maybe him needing a strong body means he is a god of strength.” Judith interjected.
Robin looked at her questioningly but surprisingly the system chimed in.
The lack of a Divine system inhibits the system from analyzing the divine physiology. It can only examine divine sparks rewarded by the world to individuals with the title matching the divinity. Telling the person in question might cause the natural defense to drop and allow the system to analyze it in depth.
Robin looked at the message, “Can you identify similar traits?” Robin asked.
There is a lack of precedence and this trait is very similar to how phoenix physiology is hidden. There is also a likely chance that such traits are meant to be hidden and cannot be noticed until the system has gained sufficient power to identify divine markers.
It was then that Robin realized, it was true that until now, mythical genetic physiology has been a hit or miss. Then he thought of something, “What would the divine physiology do in my body?” Robin asked.
This specific trait is wholly incompatible with your native power and would cause many adverse effects on your physiology. Structure is more likely to fit the Hero Chasm Might or Miss America however it will need extensive simulation to find the proper merging process to fully integrate the physiology as the trait will react with Chasm Might’s advanced energy and result in a divine spark.
This was shocking to say the least.
“This is something to look into. Judith, you can head on to another person, don’t tell anyone because this is big. I will talk with the heroes once I’ve looked into this but keep it silent. System, if Judith talks about it lie and don’t confirm anything about divine physiology until I’ve had a deeper look into it.” Robin said.
She huffed, “I thought you trusted me!” She complained.
“Judith…” Robin said.
She pouted and huffed, “Fine. I won’t talk about it.” She agreed.
“Alright, I’ll take you out for ice cream later as thanks for agreeing.” He said.
“I’m not a baby anymore.” She said and stomped off.
He smiled but got serious, “System, scan all the disabled and look for similar cases.” Robin said.
They had cleared the whole of the American Union’s disabled population from minor towns and only major cities still had them and even those were starting to prepare to move here and gather all of them in one place to be easier to deal with.
The system worked and began to bring up names of people who had power incompatibility due to their bodies being unable to handle the power itself.
Robin went through all of them and helped elevate their natural traits to be able to support the minimal requirements so that it would not go red and then had the system scan the depth of the traits.
Some of them were emitters who could not handle the stress of the element on their bodies while others were genetic diseases that conflicted with the natural power that wasn’t broken.
He worked through them all and at the end, he found only two people beyond the first one with a remotely similar thing. Robin sat down in one of the main lobbies examining the core build of these traits and saw the similarities.
The others were different. One of them, after his body could handle it, actually caused the guy’s top layer of skin to shed and reveal a thin layer of snake scales and his hair turned into feathers, surprisingly. Also his movement caused a bit of wind to blow which suggested wind based abilities.
The other one was not divine and the system confirmed it but it was a physiology trait. It caused a pair of tiny horns to pop out of her forehead and almost instantly the system noticed a group of modifiers being implemented, strength and vitality was increased by x2 immediately upon activation and the trait displaying itself.
After comparing it to myth and many other scans, the horned one was confirmed to be Oni Physiology, oni were japanese ogres or trolls and were typically seen as giant brutes that wore tigerskin loincloths in myth as well as popular media. The woman in question who had this looked more like the anime equivalent since she was still very humanoid.
That said, based on what the system could scan, she was likely to grow to a minimum of at least 2 meters tall and have a very strong body type. As for any skin color changes, that had to wait because the power was clearly only partially displayed. In some instances oni are seen as a spirit or a deity depending on their types of powers but most old myths made them out to be malevolent.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
“Any correlation?” Robin asked.
Only that physiology required a minimum of the most healthy powerless humans. Left alone with this type of biology, the system believes their natural biology will slowly evolve and adapt to the requirements. If they were to utilize the system to grow, this is even more likely to happen as the system will be constantly analyzing their genetic changes.
“I see… so this is yet another thing to look out for among divines. Categorize these under racial mutation powers then and don’t let people get these without having gone through thousands of simulations. If someone tries to get it, set very strict requirements which would be traits required to push the compatibility to over 90%.” Robin said. “Also, examine animal based racial mutations and see if there aren’t isolated animal physiology. Maybe they also hide many hidden mythical traits.” Robin said.
Understood
The system goes silent and Robin was in deep thought about it all. Things were moving quickly but it was good that these secrets were being discovered. Divine physiology was a shocking discovery but it would mean at least low ranking heroes at least.
With so many heroes present, the trait pool was massive but even then it was far from complete.
Eventually Robin returned to doing things normally but was in constant thought as he helped other people. When so many were gathered together, he was surprised by how many power disabilities were the result of incompatibility over the power themselves.
When the club gathered to go home, many of them were commenting happily that they were able to do so much but also to learn so much about the gamer space.
Helping out so many people was an enlightening job into the working of the trait shop. Few people had so much access to the trait shop, most of the time it was a locked system requiring a trait shop manager to activate for them but the work in the disability center was unlocked for those who were part of the club. Of course, the new students required the permission of the seniors who would look over their work to make sure it was proper and show them things that could be better or tricks to make the system do things better.
It was this understanding which gave the senior members their unrestrained access to the trait shop. They knew very well the dangers and consequences of their actions and only acted after a lot of deliberation.
“I wonder, with all that is going on, why don’t the other two power research clubs do the same thing?” one of the 9th graders asked.
“They do. We’ve had members of their club come to us to teach them advanced control to try and find certain things. They do it during PE when we are together. You have to remember something though. One club is ‘The Power Technology Research Society’ and the other is ‘Heroic Power Research Division’. One of them researches how to use technology to improve powers and the other researches the powers themselves. Only the 2nd one has more care about the system while the other is more like a support heroics class to make tech for us.” Robin explained.
“Oh… why are there so few clubs considering how many academies joined together?” One of the 9th graders asked.
“Well… there are actually other power related clubs but they aren’t big… the only reason these clubs are big is because they were from the original school and were lucky to get higher funding for the change in school dynamic.” Robin said.
They understood, honestly, that their own club is small compared to other clubs despite having the highest concentration of the schools top people show just how opinion driven people are towards club activities.
“Now that I think about it, besides Milo and Lola who have entire dimensions to farm from and Zack, what are the other grades doing for money?” Robin asked.
“Uh… not a lot.” One of the 9th graders said.
Robin laughed, “Don’t worry, it took us time to figure things out as well. It's not everyone who can figure financial gain objectives so easily.” Robin said.
“I do fear for the future of the club. At the moment we are able to easily provide for the members.” Milo said, “Especially with all the new recipes I’ve gained.”
“Same for me, enemy greater demons have attacked and we’ve gained recipes and things from there as well.” Lola said.
Robin looked at all the many others and it was clear that they wouldn’t be able to make such things. Lola and Milo have patents on such things so they get the royalties.
They soon meet up with Mr Atlas who was there, as they exit.
Robin asks about this.
“Oh, that is true but the fact of the matter is, most people who graduate and are well off tend to do a graduate sponsorship. Basically they donate to a person or a group so a lot of graduates help maintain the finances of the club. Not everyone can so easily produce money after all.” Mr Atlas said.
Everyone sighed, no one wanted to have their years of work to go down the drain after leaving.
“It was great to relax after so long seeing so much.” Robin said.
A melancholy feeling filled the air though. “Are we going to continue doing this?” One of the 9th graders asked.
“Yeah in our free time if you want. For me personally, I tend to unwind when I do this but I don’t want to hold you all to that standard. You are free to do it to the amount you want.” Robin said.
They all were happy with that and they returned to their homes to rest.
The next day class restarted and training and results were made to categorize and properly display at the same time, 9th graders were taken to a specially prepared digital farm for power development training for the 2nd half of the school year.
For the others…
“Alright, starting in this half of the year we aren’t going to drop the effort we’ve put in. Since we are most familiar with the gamer system we will proceed to help the other three unions.” Chasm Might said.
“Huh? But they didn’t offer help so why should we?” One of the Kong members asked.
“Because it means the safety of civilians. Our or their egos shouldn’t matter when talking about civilians. They’ve already prepared their own hospitals as they saw what we were pulling out. Also, we have great news.” He said. “During the process of clearing out the criminals, we came upon a large collection of captured gamers and among them are the final pieces of Kevin’s Gamer space. A full sextuplet group which has integrated and unlocked the final bit of knowledge. This means we have 21 gamer space pieces so we can effectively split 7 for each continent and help clean it out during the next month's.”
“Is it safe sir, splitting up the gamer space and spreading the power pieces thin?”
“We will see how it goes, you children will be able to intern with the other continent groups to see the difference. Also, Techno has been working on a method to effectively bridge the language barrier with a universal translator. Those wearing the headgear will hear and the sound will automatically translate it for you and your voices will be translated back. Like this, you will not have trouble understanding the others but I suggest you maintain your identities covered as best as possible. We are helping but the American heroes cannot show up or it will clue in the others that we are able to move about.” Chasm Might said.
Robin did not know how to feel since it would mean he would be seeing how bad organized crime will run in other places. He knew he had to get over it but seeing how disabled people were treated was never a good feeling. Thankfully there was soon to be a united disability hospital which will gather every disability hospital world wide and be easier to fund instead of tens of thousands of hospitals with meager funding each.
“Sir… is there a chance that our purge will alert the other continents to this since they already took in all the academies.” Robin asked.
“There is a possibility that they might be more on alert which just means you should be on higher alert in case they have active defense you can’t handle. No matter how strong you are, there is always a danger so remember that.” Chasm Might said.
They then started classes which revolved around explaining the powers of the heroes from the other continents followed by the most prevalent braveman they are likely to work with.
***
After class, Kevin followed Server Admin as they went deep into the prison holding the hundred thousand criminals and cultists they had imprisoned.
The deepest areas were made to hold special prisoners including the braveman still under investigation to see if they were victims or traitors, many of whom had actually fallen into comas after the removal of the parasite.
Going beyond them was an area which contained gamers who were all blind folded and strapped to chairs or medical beds and had their arms and legs restrained.
Kevin frowned but he knew better than to question.
Finally they reached the deepest room where six individuals were laid out in a large room with an oxygen mask which channeled air and sleeping gas to keep them unconscious.
These were the sextuplet gamer space piece.
Yesterday when it all arrived, they were exceptionally excited until the moment the 21 of the pieces gathered up and merged their gamer space.
The 6 instantly collapsed moments after the complete system returned and Gaia took over their bodies almost entirely.
“The rescued gamers, do not let a single one free. Once things have stabilized, restrict their access to only projecting the space. As the core piece, you can impose this upon all the core pieces.” Gaia said to them.
“What is going on?” Kevin asked, never having seen Gaia taking over others since he was usually the one used to talk.
“These six and all the gamers were unfortunate souls who were experimented on by the great evil. They do not live, their souls long gone and their minds are but extensions of the evil. Before I return, I will imprint a genetic recipe required to place within the bodies of these six and the required status needed to support the full scope of the transformation into a core piece of the 6th level. These traits will allow you to rip their brain and nervous system from their bodies, which has been fully replaced with the evil parasite.” Gaia said.
“Wait! They are filled with the parasite!” Server Admins exclaimed.
“Affirmative, these unfortunate children were experimented heavily on as they tried to develop gamer soldiers and were sent to infiltrate the system and make it usable by the enemy. Effectively, this genetic recipe will only allow these bodies to become direct vessels for myself to directly interact with the world. I will restrict the souls of the parasite until they can be fully removed without killing the body.” She said and then the six collapsed and were transported while the rest of the gamers brought in were captured and transported here and under her instructions, all sight and talking ability restricted while their bodies were restrained with digimetal restraints.
It was a good thing they did that because it was then that they learned just how much genetic alteration they went through with the gamer system scanning them.
Shockingly, all of them had roughly 4000 in physical stats purely from the physical enhancement traits genetically infused into them.
With all the money gained, Server Admin, they used a similar restriction to what they did with Disaster but this time they sealed the parasite soul but made sure to keep them sedated since there were things required to make it work.
The genetic testing had affected their gamer power so the very first thing was restoring the genetic traits of the gamer system and then adding a trait the system had discovered in Disaster, Celular Soul.
It was a shocking trait but it would allow every cell in their bodies to contain a tiny fragment of a soul from which Gaia would be able to infuse herself and once the parasite was killed and removed it would still be alive.
The final primary trait was a fused healing trait disaster had, in other words, they needed to buy several regeneration traits that would effectively allow them to rip the very nerves from their bodies before letting it regrow it naturally. After killing the parasite soul, they would have to grind the body under Robin’s gravity to make the parasite easier to see but as long as some of the natural body removed it would regenerate with the help of the gamer space.
That was Gaia’s plan but until then, they had to be cautious. The soul was thankfully sealed and now they were going to release them after getting the first group of traits.
Sadly, they discovered that their bodies couldn’t handle more genetic alterations after the first few traits. It would take a while and a lot of stats to fully integrate the existing traits.
“How are the readings?” Server Admin asked.
“They are stable and the first four traits were infused. The system has noticed trait merging but it is only the initial merging.” He said.
“Shouldn’t we use all the stats?” Kevin asked.
“Until Gaia has control and fully merged with the soul fragments in the body, no.” Admin said.
He gave a nod and the doctors began to disconnect them and the healing traits instantly started to take effect. Among the healing traits was obviously a heightened metabolism.
It took about 2 minutes for their bodies to metabolize enough to start waking up as a faint glow around their bodies gather until it hits the head and they wake up in unison and get up.
“It is done… a new fragment of my soul has been infused.” they say together.
“What do you mean?” Kevin asked.
They looked at him and smile, “All gamers have a fragment of my soul within them. You and the other core pieces have larger pieces and is how I am able to speak through you prior. Now there is no worry as I have vessels until the day this parasite is ripped out and the natural brain is regrown. Once the soul gathers, it will condense a mortal soul once more.” she explained.
“Is there any danger?” Server admin asked.
“There always is but not so much that I cannot resist. The only sure danger is that these cannot be in front of the great evil or it will free the trapped soul. You have properly limited the access of these pieces?” she asked.
“Yes, it took a bit of probing the new information but I figured it out.” Kevin said.
“Good, casting the gamer space is the most important but you’ve best remember that until this parasite is fully removed, there will always be a danger. We will keep these vessels here and when walking about, we are to always walk with someone capable of detaining them… by force if necessary. The healing traits will make them difficult.” Gaia said.
“There aren’t a lot of people who can do that.” Server admin said.
“Yes but there are enough Demigods with stronger bodies than these six.” Gaia said.
Server Admin looked at her for a long while before sighing. “Kevin, your aid to the other continents will be alongside these six. You will have to monitor them very carefully. The Club members will be with you to protect and monitor all you guys. I doubt the other continents will trust you children anyways so it is better to learn from watching and comparing it to how we worked anyways.” Server admin said.
“If you say so. I’ve been wanting to ask though, why did you make monsters like the antarctica dragon king?” Kevin asked.
Gaia looked and sighed, “I’ve little in terms of higher control. Until recently I’ve actually been unable to gather my soul. One thing to realize, child, is that every life upon a planet is a fragment of the planet’s soul. At least half of our soul is used to breathe life upon us and the land of death and hell is used to filter the mortal corruption within the soul before they return to us.” she said.
“Wait… Robin said that the process of becoming a god is exploding the cores or energy in the body to create a planet… does that mean they will do the same?” Kevin asked.
“Yes, all those given a divinity upon condensing cores are considered ‘higher divinity’. Once they condense a world, they will be among the most powerful mortal gods. On the other hand, those who condense a world without a divinity will condense one however they will be a minor divinity. Their worlds are innately weaker, smaller but they are divinity.” she explained.
“What of the gamers… none of us has succeeded in condensing higher refined energies.” Server admin asked.
“That is the lack of development. Level 4 will include the rules and systems required for the divine system as well as the requirement for me to automatically infuse the meridian system. Everyone will obtain it once the 4th level is achieved. It will also allow me to better jumpstart energies and analyze their genetics to see the requirements for each energy. The most important is that I will be able to analyze for divine auras that are appearing and hiding from my scans.” she explained.
“So will my energy automatically change? How does that work when my body has all types of energies?” Kevin asked.
“The same as the Demigod of Monsters. Your body will condense all forces into World Essence.” she replied. “Level 5 will contain the systems to analyze and condense level 2 refined power and level 6 will contain the systems for the final level.” she said.
“If you say so.” Kevin said.
She nodded and looked at the vessels she occupied, “It is a blessing in disguise that these vessels are so strong. Half the effort has already been worked through but I cannot easily function in this form and it is dangerous so the only option is to gather energy and forcefully level these up.” She said.
“Can we not just wait until we complete the vessels?” Kevin asked.
“No, because they are to eventually be infant souls with few memories except for what was lived now. They will know fear and childish ignorance along with the inherent knowledge. They will not train or fight much less know what to do. As such we will proceed with force leveling and strengthening through exp crystals.” She said.
“Are you going to use their stats now?” Kevin asked.
“Yes, we shall use it, we will use it in bursts and not all at once. It is more convenient to do it in small waves.” she explained.
From there they started using the stats in small increments, they were over level 170 just from the genetic manipulation and with the active gamer space, they had 10 point potential.
After using nearly 1000 points the wildly merged traits were fully fused and integrated and the vessels could safely integrate more traits but they stopped here so that they would rest and after a few weeks they would integrate the next set of traits to get closer to the objective of removing the parasite.
