BANG!
With a shock-inducing mash, Time Tempest once more was sent flying through several collapsed structures and burst out while huffing and looking at the two rushing at him with venom in his glare.
“You fucking bastards are enjoying this!” he roared as he punched and they started into another explosive clash which once more sent him barrelling away.
“Yes, it’s very fun to beat you so much.” Chasm Might said coldly.
They both continued after him but it was then that they saw him turn in the air grinning before his body turned facing the way he was flying and suddenly he accelerated, taking them both by surprise.
It was then that they noticed how far they had traveled and in the distance was an army of different skeletons and undead that attacked with the wrath of their master.
At the location, Vincent Death was sweating while at his feet were hordes of death knights who were giving off electrical sparks while in front of him were giant bone knights which blocked these massive bolts.
The bone dragon was not summoned because it would be easy prey against this enemy because of its immense size that was a liability.
Flying in the air was a man laughing as he floated in the air and an orb of electrical plasma surrounded him and launched continuous omnidirectional bolts and completely crippled Vincent’s army of death.
As surprising as it sounds, necromancy has quite a few weaknesses.
The classic ones where they are weak against divine holiness and Light abilities and magic is an obvious one. Most forms of life restoring magic done with normal mana were toxic to them. Then they had common bodily weaknesses like fire, which can char bones to ash. That said, among the natural world elements, lightning was particularly effective against the undead.
In comics and fantasy novels, this is usually explained by the fact that lightning is connected to divinity, it is a divine element so an undead will naturally be weak to it but in the natural real world the effect is more realistic.
Lightning has the effect of disrupting the flow of death mana and death energy in general. For an undead, this won’t kill them without their bones being overloaded and their bodies explode or being turned into cinders but for weak undead or for strong undead like the death knights, it paralyzes them because their death energy and death mana is what their soul’s use to control their bodies that would otherwise not be able to move.
Of course, knowing the weakness naturally means Vincent has counter measures but he’s not had to directly fight such people on short notice like this before. The giant bone knights used metal infused bone shields to channel the lightning into the ground without it flowing through them but they still have at least a part of that energy run through them because their bone armor is forged with different metals so regardless they conducted electricity.
It was why the knights were so devastated.
On the other hand, the lich Val’ric groaned next to Vincent after taking a massive bolt for his master and deflecting it using his scythe.
“I hate it, I’m really getting too old.” Vincent cursed with sweat on his head.
The villain was laughing like a madman. On his back were six biomechanic generators which were enhancements created on research into people like Techno. He isn’t the only techno being who can convert technology into biological technology. Some people are even born with those things as seen by the twins.
These generators were created and infused in the same manner, the guy’s true power was just as dangerous. The truth of the matter was that he had the same ability as Heatwave except it focused specifically on lightning and electricity. In all honesty, if Heatwave knew this guy was here, he could effectively come and help beat him because his Solar abilities were a higher grade. Solar plasma could absorb lightning plasma but the same can’t be said if it was backwards.
It is like how Miss America was a superior version of Chasm Might without needing the biological energies to strengthen her body.
Sadly, Heatwave was stuck containing Disaster and Vincent could still hold this guy off.
It was at that moment that a massive explosion happened behind them and Vincent only had time to turn around and see Time Tempest clawing towards him.
The Lich could only pull its master out of the way. He swung wide and clawed into the old man’s arm, instantly ripping his right arm out of its socket and grinning.
Immediately the arm aged and scattered into dust as Tempest overloaded it with time energy and at the same time he smashed the hand with the rotting dust of Vincent’s arm into the Lich’s chest, sending it reeling off to the side, rotting rapidly as his ribcage was cracked and broken.
In seconds he reached behind one of the bone giants and smashed it and suddenly the electricity exploded out as the wall containing the energy broke and the giants started to collapse.
“AHAHAHA!” Time Tempest laughed as he looked at the old man that had aged even more under the attack of time.
“Vincent!” The two heroes coming behind roared. Mephesto rushed to his aid to stem the bleeding with demon fire while Chasm punched out at the man.
What was surprising was when the electricity focused on him in one massive wave and sent him flying back as his body was covered in sparks and his body trembling.
“Hehehe! We finally got one.” Time Tempest said.
“Oi… you interrupted my fun.” The lightning village said, with a scowl.
“Shove it… they have Disaster contained and several of our side has fallen. I was fighting Mephesto and Might alone and they are significantly stronger than my last meeting.” He said.
The man looked in the direction he had come from and looked shocked at the scene of carnage that had opened up. “Weren’t you fighting five of the hero’s during the last incident?” The guy said.
“I’m surprised you know… that said both of them discovered something that made them significantly stronger… Mephesto won a 2v1 and came after me.” He said.
The lightning villain scowled as he looked at the two finish sealing the bleeding arm and looked at them.
“I’m not going to fight these freaks.” He said.
“Then get out of here because I’m not either.” Time Tempest said.
The hero’s listening to this scowled, “Do you think we will let you get away?” Mephesto asked.
“I don’t need your permission, with my healing capacity so significantly stronger, I can possibly enter the time stream directly and run away with significantly weaker side effects but I have a fun idea I’ve been wanting to do.” he said as he grabbed the air and slowly his body was covered by some kind of cover. “I hope you’re all strong enough to survive and protect.”
Instantly the lightning guy turned pale and his entire body exploded with electricity. “AHHHH!” He roared until they saw his body actually start to energize and go half way between energy and material, he turned and Mephesto realized what he was trying and jumped after him.
“No you don’t!” He shouted but in the blink of an eye and the roaring sound of lightning, the guy exploded into the air and only a massive electrical light surged away from the city.
Mephesto dropped down near the others with a scowl, “Shit! Two of them ran away! And Tempest is still active!” He cursed.
“Get away!” Vincent said.
“What? We should get you to safety.”
“That crazy bastard…” Vincent said and pointed.
The two looked at where Tempest vanished. It was then that they both turned pale at the sight, there was a hair thin crack but it was visible in the sky.
BOOM!
It was at that moment they felt a shockwave. The crack extended and all three turned pale white because everyone saw this once before.
Mephesto instantly turned and grabbed the old necromancer and Chasm Might didn’t miss a beat.
The old man used his remaining hand and sent back his lich to heal but the rest he couldn’t save before he got away.
The shockwave was literally against the barrier between space and time itself, the barrier keeping wild time out from this dimension.
Within the dimension, Time Tempest laughed like a madman because his body was healing against the immense waves and controlling a small fragment of the stream’s power he punched the barrier and formed cracks one punch at a time.
It took only ten attacks and finally the barrier finally cracked and the time stream exploded through.
As soon as it did, he pulled back and ran away.
From the crack, like a dam breaking, the crack exploded and in literal seconds, everything within 100 meters turned into sand and beyond that point, everything rapidly aged and started to break.
At once, all the fight’s stopped because the shockwave of time distortion was extremely fast and widespread.
Parts rotted away and others rewinded in time causing shocking effects.
Mephesto, Chasm and Vincent were quickly caught up to and they all channeled their energies to resist and even Chasm Might, who resisted Time Tempest, started to shift in age.
“Urg! This… is so… weird!” He said instantly feeling sick.
Further away, Robin was still trying to lock onto the man fighting Blue Phoenix when everyone stopped and looked at the direction of the cracking.
Robin instantly felt an immense disturbance in the very fabric of earth itself forming. His divine spark flashed and he instantly recalled his psychic energy and it rapidly rotated around him and suddenly he formed a gravity barrier out of instinct.
As soon as it formed a visible barrier, the time shockwave smashed into them and they caught an wave of aging time causing the entire area to turn into sand but shockingly, as soon as it smashed into his barrier, it broke the time stream causing the land under and behind him to remain as he groaned.
The villain and Blue Phoenix took it head on and they were both sent flying until they stabilized.
“Tempest!” The villain roared as he felt sick to his stomach under this distortion of time.
He also saw the cone forming from Robin and so did Phoenix but neither of them had time because they had to resist the wave.
No fighting continued and the wave of time very quickly covered the entire city and smashed even into the brave men keeping Disaster from healing but the meat pile fared no better under the immense ravage of time.
Surprisingly, Moonlight and Heatwave both reacted no different from Robin, each of their powers stemmed from celestial bodies and they both form a few special organs in their bodies that help stabilize plasma which allows them to generate electromagnetic fields and use that to alter gravity and form electromagnetic fields within their immediate surroundings.
They both generated a magnetic field around them like the planet’s and it crashed and pushed aside the other.
The most surprising thing was the Heatwave and Robin each looked at the rift with intense determination. Robin had to stabilize his barrier but once it was stable his body floated with his anti gravity and shot through the waves of time while heatwave produced a very powerful field around himself which caused shocks against the current and rushed through.
“Heatwave!” Moonlight shouted but he didn’t even look back.
Unlike herself, his electromagnetism was many times stronger since he stabilized solar plasma. She could only protect herself and move to protect her allies.
The hard thing was all the civilians and children, they all began mobilizing their biological energies and powers simply to resist.
Warning! Warning! Time rift has been broken within the surroundings! World pressure is incapable of closing power, connecting all humans to Earth and the Gamer Space’s World power and forming a world power coat to enhance resistance towards lethal time anomalies.
World power surged up from the ground and connected to all civilians that had yet to arrive at the bunkers and the students. The students caught by the mind control had no resistance at all so their coats were particularly strong and the world system caused them to clump together and reduce the great cost.
Lola was groaning as she gripped the ground to not be thrown while holding Milo alongside Bargo.
“W-hat… is this!” Milo said, even with the cover they were both slowly aging.
“The message said a time rift… what is that!” Lola said.
“Rift! You mean like the rift to the netherworld in mexico!” Milo exclaimed.
Lola’s eyes widened as she realized what it was instantly. In the same manner, she turned very pale because no one had even a single clue how to close that thing up. How were they going to close a rift into the very fabric of space time?
The city or even the entire region could end up a hostile time warped zone.
What she didn’t expect was the two who were shooting towards the very rift. Robin arrived first and was able to get the three heroes into his gravity barrier.
“Robin! Why did you come here!” Chasm Might shouted. His time warping was slowly reverting to normal because of his energy density.
Robin, however, just sat down and began to produce power.
“We should heal Vincent as best we can while we have the chance.” Mephesto said.
“Robin!” Might shouted but his shoulder was grabbed by the hero who shook his head.
Chasm Might looked confused but Chasm Might still walked around to see Robin from the front and his belly was glowing as if slightly transparent, glowing veins began to expand as he generated divine force and the divine flame within his body was burning brightly against the affront to the natural order of the world.
“What is that…” Chasm Might said.
“It looks like the small flame that entered his body after he got the stone… Grace’s deity called it a divine spark, the source of all divine being’s divinity and domain of power. The system said he was rewarded one so maybe it is reacting to the rift.” Mephesto said.
After a moment Mephesto moved towards the injured old man and began to help him. He was very withered because of the time effect.
“I can’t believe this is how I end…” Vincent said.
“Not yet old man, you can retire but you’re not going to croak just yet. You can still turn your old bones into a lich, I know because you told me about how you have that ancient ritual.” He said.
“That is… a cursed, painful existence… I would prefer death…” He said.
Chasm Might moved over and did something unexpected, he began to generate an orb of scarlet red energy and then slowly forced it into his heart. It caused Vincent to shout and channeled his blood power. It surprisingly worked and pushed the deeply entrenched time energy from his body and kindled the dying flames of his life before extracting it.
“Old man, don’t think of dying, remember that we are in the gamer space, use your stats to heal, it might even regrow your arm!” Chasm Might said.
Vincent looked at him before his eyes moved. The next second hundreds of nodes began to appear and rushed at the old man and they heard the sound of cracking while more time energy leaked out and were pushed away. World power also came out from the ground and fed extra energy into the old man to reduce the energy as much as possible until he came out. He regained his vitality but he was pale, that said, the face of the two heroes scowled because his arm had only grown down half way to his elbow.
When he saw that a system message came for them.
90% of the gamer space’s power is focused on preserving civilians and heroes, the status system is working at 20% so the system has only used 30% of the stats you’ve requested to stabilize your health and allow you to actively protect yourself from the time warp.
“At least there is still hope.” Mephesto said with a deep sigh since it wasn’t the end.
Vincent groaned and got help from Chasm Might to stand up.
“Mr Might, please leave with Sir Vincent.” Robin said but his tone was strange as he got up. When he turned, they were shocked that his eyes had turned silver.
“Who are you?” Chasm Might asked.
Robin looked and smiled, “I’m Robin… but the breach in the time stream caused disaster not just in the breach, it happened many many years in the past and future.” He said.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
The three’s eyes widened as they realized what they were talking to. It was Robin but from a distant future.
“What happened to our Robin?” Chasm Might asked.
“He is sleeping, as soon as the rift was opened, in my time it had been happening for years and I finally found the breach and sent my mind through because of the resonance between our divine sparks. Don’t worry, we can fix this.” He said.
“We?” Mephesto said and the next second Heatwave crashed down and through the gravity barrier.
When he looked, his eyes were a glowing golden color. “Master Might, leave it to us, also please contact Bookkeeper, he should possess his Time keeper book on his person. Tell him to get here in the earliest possibility to contain as much leaking time as possible.” Heatwave said.
“Time keeper? I’ve never heard of such a book published.” Mephesto said.
Heatwave blinked and the two looked at each other, “What year is it?” Robin asked.
“2251.” The three said together.
“Then he has it, he began production last year in the event that we would need to fight Time manipulators like Time Tempest.” Heatwave said.
The three looked at each other and nodded, Chasm Might just checked there and frowned, “Transmissions are very sketchy.” He said.
“We are too close to the rift for it to work, you need to get out of the epicenter about 1 km to get any signal, the gamer space will cover you three in an extra coat of world power so you can survive out.” Robin said.
They nodded, “Well leave it to you two then.” They said and supported Vincent, the three channeled their respective energies and world power appeared to coat them before they left the barrier.
The two turned and looked at the rift, “This time we will close it early.” Robin said.
“And no one will die this time around.” Heatwave replied.
Robin raised his hand and a small orb of divine force formed and Heatwave put his hands on the top and bottom and formed a powerful electromagnetic force.
Their eyes shined and their power sources shined within their bodies as that power was instantly fused and put under immense pressure.
The gravity barrier instantly cracked and blew up before the gravitational field of a tiny gravity well, aka a star, took shape and started growing in between the two.
Time is affected by gravity, the heavier gravity exists to bend space, the faster time runs. To distort the rift enough for it to collapse in on itself, the more mass and gravity is needed.
The present day Heatwave or Robin had no knowledge of how to do this, they had the capacity but neither of them had the skill required to.
Channeling remaining excess world power from the system into Demigod Robin
“Please do Gaia!” Robin exclaimed.
The power came out and connected directly into his core and instantly his body lit up as it began to produce power at a significantly faster pace that could keep up with Heatwave’s infusion of Solar flames.
In the distance, the trio was able to get out of the epicenter and instantly the pressure dropped and their communicators connected. “Techno! Patch us to Bookkeeper immediately!” Mephesto roared.
The urgency was uncommon from such a stoic person that he just did it. He was still busy cleaning up the remains of the invasion forces anyways.
“You’re through.” he said
“Bookkeeper!” Mephesto shouted.
“What… What is happening… why do I feel this sickening energy!” he shouted.
“Time Tempest ripped the time stream barrier! Get to the rift immediately and use that book you’re writing, the Time Keeper!” Mephesto shouted.
“Wha! How did you know I was writing that!” He shouted.
“THAT DOESN’T MATTER JUST USE THAT FUCKING BOOK AND GET OVER THERE!” Mephesto shouted.
Techno and Bookkeeper were shocked he could get this emotional.
“What about the villains?” He asked.
“Closing this rift is more important! The gamer system will eventually be able to pinpoint them in the future! Leave it and get there now!” Chasm Might said through the comms.
Bookkeeper looked at the villain he was fighting, he was a technomancer who was using mental disruption wave technology to disrupt his concentration making his power weaker then it should be.
He scowled but touched a storage container and a hardcover book appeared. As soon as it touched him, a wave of mana surged out and blocked the time energy coming his way.
His form changed and he, shockingly, turned into a woman of timeless beauty. She wore a flowing white robe and in her hand was a staff with a stone that radiated time energy.
After the physical change his mind incorporated the woman’s ego and her eyes shot open revealing a starry pair of eyes and instantly her magical power stabilized time within 100 meters around her.
She only took a single look at the villain, who was in that range and recovering from the time warp, and snapped her finger, before he could react he was frozen in time.
She appeared in front of him and looked around him, time moved incredibly slow around her and she soon found a few interesting things and broke the tools he used before savagely kicking his manhood at least a dozen times before.
Bookkeeper thought about wringing his neck but she didn’t have the physical power to do that, the guy had biotech and was partially cybernetic like Techno. It would require someone like Chasm Might to do it.
He was very dangerous for sure as a technological threat but she felt the danger of the time rift and looked at him one last time and leaned in, “You are luck Tempest is a fucking madman to pull this stunt.” she cursed at him before accelerating away.
The timelock came off moments later and the impacts against his, unaltered, manhood instantly caused him to almost faint and foam to the mouth. He collapsed to the ground and was assaulted by the time energy without protection from the gamer space.
Rushing through the time distortions, she appeared above the rift and looked coldly, “Time Tempest will pay one day.” she venomously said before raising her staff. The gemstone shined as time energy literally solidified under her control and formed twelve massive pillars that crashed at the edge of the 100 meter circle.
She saw Robin and Heatwave safely within the gravity well and instantly knew what they were doing.
She cast her magic and the twelve pillars turned the entire area into a starry twilight before a time barrier formed and sealed in 60% of the warping energy and instantly scowled but a loud voice came from Robin.
“Don’t try it!” Robin roared, “Anything besides containment will cause the rift to open more and become even more dangerous! Focus your full attention purely on containment!” He roared with divine force so his voice did not disappear in the waves of time.
“How do you know?” She asked.
Robin looked at her and his silver eyes pierced the distance and shocked her. She could see the ages etched into his eyes unlike any human she knew and knew this wasn’t the normal Robin she was dealing with.
Bookkeeper thought for a moment, “What is the best method to contain and not agitate it.” she asked.
“Your twelve divine pillars of time and Chronos Watch.” Robin exclaimed.
Her eyes widened, the spell in particular was a supreme spell used not in the 1st book he wrote but in the 3rd book. Bookkeeper never publishes a book if he doesn’t even have 3 books ready.
“That book is not written.” She replied.
“But the spell exists in your canon!” Robin replied.
When those words hit his ears, it seemed to unlock something within and a spell of unimaginable complexity formed within his mind, cosmic calculations, magical chanting and more and it gathered into one spell.
Robin showed him an ability he was never aware of, ‘What he, as the writer, has confirmed as canon to story lore within a book and will not change is truth and can be accessed.
Instantly a magical circle that covered the sky appeared.
GONG! GONG! GONG!
Heavy gongs like that of a clock tower came and slowly from within that magic circle, a divine clock tower descended it’s appearance immediately boosted the power of the twelve pillars and waves upon waves of power started to pull the ever expanding time waves to a halt and were slow to start gathering.
“I cannot hold this for more than 5 minutes.” She said
“We know.” Both of them said.
Not a moment later the tiny star suddenly expanded to the size of their head and the gravity well doubled in size.
It was a literal race against the clock every minute sounded with a loud gong but it also was followed by a significant growth of the star.
The gravity well shocked against the leaking time stream and would expand no further after reaching within 50 meters of the rift after the 3rd minute. The size of the star at that time was as big as an adult but the gravity.
On the 4th minute, it expanded to three times human size and each second of the 5th minute came with the sound of cracking as the magic circle was sucking Bookkeeper dry. It was an immense draw of power requiring divine power to use effectively. His normal form didn’t have the capacity to contain it and his character was not a demigod at this stage of the book besides knowing the spell, he could not support its true power. If he could, he would have sealed the time rift by casting the spell.
She already needed to land by the last minute so she would not fall into the rift and was sweating as all her power was draining fast.
When the last gong sounded, the twelve towers also broke down into energy once more. At the same moment, the manmade star expanded to 10 meters in diameter and suddenly made a gravity well so powerful that Bookkeeper, who transformed back to normal, had to grip the ground because even Robin couldn’t contain the full weight of the gravity well from acting on them. The ball of plasma, which drained both of them of nearly all their energy, leaving them pale and their lips purple.
“This… is our all… if we can’t stop it…” Robin said.
“Yeah… the worst outcome.” Heatwave said.
“What happens if it goes bad?” Bookkeeper asked.
“The warping of time and space will open a blackhole from this time rift… effectively destroying earth in its entirety.” They said.
“How did your world’s close the rift?” Bookkeeper asked.
“It was open for 10 years before you and Techno finally sealed it but in that time it had caused world chaos and time anomalies would randomly open throughout the world. It also resulted in the death of most of the academy including Kevin meaning the gamer space never reached maturity.” Robin said with a sad smile, “That won’t happen.” He said and together, they pushed with their all.
As soon as it moved, a clash of fundamental forces of reality was felt by everyone and everyone could clearly see the literal star pushing against the rift, a visible field of time and gravity formed. Time was an immensely stronger force but gravity warped it, distorted it and created the concept so life could live within its stream.
Just like when the world core crashed into Time Tempest, time began to warp and the gravity started to push.
Redirecting world power!
Like the attack against Disaster, like the attack against time tempest, the full power of the available world power surged at the star and it suddenly doubled in size and finally overcame the power of time and rushed forward as a gap formed in the rift and crashed into it.
Cracks expanded under the weight of a star as it literally forced its way into the time stream.
“GO!” The two shouted and as soon as the star crossed half way it shined brightly and exploded and was sucked into the time stream leaking absolutely none of the energy.
Space and time literally twisted upon eruption like the implosion of a supernova that would cause a blackhole but the blackhole did not form within space, it formed within time and closed the rift before it was ripped apart by the unrelenting force of time. The power of space, that blackholes had, did not have dominion in the domain of time.
Cracks still appeared in the air but the natural pressure of the earth’s own gravity began to heal the wound.
As for the three that stood at the front, Heatwave and Robin’s eyes slowly dulled and turned to the hero who watched it all. “Tell Mephesto, Vincent and Mr Might… don’t reveal what happened here. If you must explain, tell the world that these two were possessed by divine beings from the realm Grace’s deity hails from.” Robin said as his silver eyes returned to normal and he collapsed.
“It is vital that knowledge of this does not get out that a braveman and a 10th grade student had the capacity to literally close the rift in space time.” Heatwave said.
“Do… we tell the two themselves?” He asked.
“If you must so that they are aware of their immense capacity and potential then do so with utmost discretion. Also… tell Techno to upgrade the towers for digital creatures, they can be expanded to have larger and greater range, it is impossible to create a single server for every city in the world, you must expand the secondary towers, tell him to view it in layers instead of literally changing the tower.” Heatwave said and finally his eyes returned to normal and he also collapsed.
Immediately both of them began to absorb energy to recover. The area was turned into twilight as Heatwave began to draw sunlight to himself.
Bookkeeper sighed and called the other heroes.
Chasm Might rushed over while Mephesto protected Vincent, the time disaster had allowed the remaining supervillains to escape and the system had not been focused to track them and would need to start looking.
For the heroes, it was not all happy going because of the level of disasters. Even worse was that Disaster was still active and without the time’s effect, its roar exploded from the area it had been restrained and the heroes mobilized to subdue it.
Robin and the other injured and brainwashed were moved to the bunkers while the professionals moved to support casualties and rescue those who had not escaped fast enough. The bunkers had moved people dozens of km underground and they were all transported outside of Virginia by the time the time disaster happened.
It was the most dangerous event to happen since the fall of the villains.
Wars have happened, everytime the underworld is attacked there is retaliation but this, for sure, was the most intense and brutal war to happen. The possibility that the literal fabric between reality and the time stream could be broken by a single madman was a scary thing. To have been able to survive and close it was a miracle and thensome.
As for Robin, he was unconscious and Ruth was with him and eventually their family. Scans showed he had fainted from extreme exhaustion, too many horrible things came out this time and it was not a good thing for the structure of heroics because it showed exactly how ‘he’ had begun to rot the structure from the inside.
Thankfully it's discovery allowed necromancers and psychics to start looking into it and find a disgusting discovery just among the hero academy children.
Their original academies were immediately focused on and their horrible experiments came to light but not acted on, this would not be revealed for a while though because there were too many braveman academies that were examined and after planning it was decided that every academy in the American union would undergo a full examination for more potential students, this would allow them full access to know exactly who was and wasn’t an ally.
At the same time, the immediate war caused the hatred of the heroes towards the villains to be at an all time high and within the next 10 years, they were going to completely upend the underground within the american union even if they had to sacrifice their life for it.
Never has there been such a common ideal from all american union heroes like their burning rage for what happened once they learned just how bad the disaster could have been.
Techno took the words left by the future Heatwave to heart. It was clear that both the Gamer space and the Digital realm was immensely vital for the safety of the future.
“We can’t let this threat go unpaid… we’ve allowed a whim of fate, a true miracle caused by the future Heatwave and Robin save us.” the seer, shockingly in person, said to the 10 heroes.
Bookkeeper held the Time keeper book to his chest, “Time travel with just their soul for a brief moment to change the course of history with the chance that it would lead either to total safety or total destruction… every last person on earth, even ‘him’, has used a lifetime's worth of luck on this near deus ex machina level plot armor work on our lives.” he said.
“I hate how I can’t refute it.” Techno said, scowling at the thought that a man of science had to depend on such a fickle thing like fate to guarantee he survived to see this day and have this talk.
“What do we tell them?” Chasm Might asked.
“We will tread the questions lightly, avoid as much as possible, the reveal of who caused it, if it gets out we will do as they have said, Mephesto, inform your daughter’s deity of this decision, he should be infinitely more clear of the consequences of this then we are.” the seer said.
He just nodded, “And what about the both of them?” Mephesto asked.
“We tell them what Heatwave said, tell them their potential and capacity, together, that star they made could have literally killed any of you.” she said.
They were all serious and their eyes were cold with rage.
Vincent raised his new right arm to eye level and clenched, “I’m old… this battle showed me just how badly I’ve withered. Even a weak hero level threat with lightning capacity completely incapacitated all my capacity to fight. I barely had time to react to Tempest.” Vincent said.
They all frowned upon his words and knew what was to come.
“I’m retiring from heroics… As strong as I might seem, I’m too old to be considered a hero… unless there is some method to evolve my death mana to be on par with the boy’s solid core of divine force I’ve reached the limits of my physical capacity, far surpassed my physical prime.” He said.
“We understand, no one understands how to continue either but will you still raise the next generation?” The seer asked.
“Naturally… I cannot leave the lands of death unattended, my undead will still be able to fight and maintain some level of peace but… the things that come out of there…” He said coldly.
“Seer… what of the brainwashing? So many hero academy students… and possible active men and women in heroics…” Esper asked.
She sighed, “We will undo the effect in the hero academy immediately, Vincent, you are able to kill the parasite’s soul so please guide the necromancers. After that we can extract the parasite's corpse with help from the gamer space… the hardest part is determining if these children have the mental capacity to continue… and if their hypnotic brainwashing still can’t be used against us. If it can then until we can break all of it we cannot allow these people to work in heroics.” She said.
“Breaking hypnosis on this level will require mind diving, unlocking the mind to its deepest corpse and finding which areas are affected, there are too few specialists and… tens of thousands who we can already estimate.” he said
The seer sighed and opened her eyes, glowing violet as a vision came to her. No one spoke while she viewed it and closed her eyes, “Esper… until the end of the year, teach mind diving to the Psychic students, find people who have a talent for understanding the minds of people, these are valuable talents who can be valuable investigators to extract information from villains minds just as much as they can help with mind control.” She said.
He nodded, “I will add that as a focused curriculum then… and invite a few of the specialists as teachers specifically for this type of class.” He said.
“Good… we still have 8 others at hero level threat on the loose. Disaster is only contained as we always did, we will await the child’s awakening to crush it down to the last atom with his new powers.” She said.
Chasm Might nearly punched his seat, “I hate that he was forced to incorporate those traits just to fight…” He said.
“I know how you feel but… if he had not, too many would have died.” The seer said.
His balled up fist nearly dug his nails into his palm and each of them took it as a lesson that they are more powerful… but they aren’t all powerful. They had a long way to catch up as old timers to the growing changes of the world.
When it was all done, the Seer appeared in person for the world to talk about the event and dangers that were let out into the world but praised the power of the heroes not allowing a single soldier besides the supervillains to step foot into the union.
It was a declaration that the union’s heroes could win in a 12v10 battle and easily subdue and maintain Disaster subdued with their braveman.
The remaining dangers would eventually be captured and they would be brought to justice and their danger fully terminated.
The resolution of the invasion within a single day was amazing news, the death toll sobered everyone up and so did the danger that had been resolved.
At the end, all 10 heroes were fully in support of the hero academy, even Miss America who joined with funding but would not be like the others to teach them. The others, however, did, Vibrate and Bookkeeper joined while Techno began to build more platforms for the digital realm through the union so that the heroes could react immediately to any area.
The idea was to eventually have every metropolis and city over 300, 000 citizens having one and their natural speed being there to get the rest of the way.
As for Techno expanding the network, that required years of research alongside the Digital goddess to design expansion hard and software.

Watching the news, ‘he’ glared at the Seer as she explained what happened but he felt something strange as he looked at Mephesto, everytime he would see him he would feel the precious bone. There was a strangeness now like it was gone, the thought chilled him and the aura radiating from him was just as cold.
When news of Disaster’s easy catch was announced, it confused him the most because it meant something had to stop that but the heroes were made immediately busy from what he could tell from information.
“They’ve produced a hidden ace in the hole…” He coldly said.
His anger showed and he vanished and appeared before the scientists, “My lord!” They exclaimed, bowing as they felt the anger from their master’s glowing red eyes.
“What is the estimate until the next batch is ready?” He asked.
“Ah… 5… years.” The lead scientist asked. “For hero level threats.” he quickly added
“What other task are you doing that slows this process?” He said.
“My lord requested testing of gamers 8 years ago, my lord… we’ve been working on them alongside the others.” He replied and soon pressed a button which pulled up hundreds if not thousands.
“What is the progress?”
“We… have difficulties but have found what the union found… it is but a piece of countless others. We’ve been putting DNA from compatible samples into each and have made progress as their gamer ability expands with each fragment but their weak bodies inhibit their capacity.” the lead scientist said.
“They are loyal?” he asked.
“Yes, their entire brains have already been substituted by my Lord’s biological parasite.” The lead scientist said.
“Can it be detected by psychics?” He asked.
“From all the tests we did with the psychics who at least help remotely, we’ve not seen a change but nothing can be hidden if they decided to mind dive.” the lead scientist said.
His eyes were focused on the gamers, “Server Admin spends quite a lot of money to gather gamer powers… let’s give it to him then… let’s see what happens when we infiltrate their little gamer ability and use them to enhance our people.” He said.
They all thought it was an excellent idea and began to prepare the gamers.
Among them, a group of sextuplets were among the weakest and most unmalleable of the gamers and were the first to be released. They only had physical enhancement boosts but their lifeless eyes were ready to die for this evil lord as were all the other gamers who were completely gone and under the control of their parasite.
“Begin focusing on the combat forces, release all the gamers into their little union and get our men in that area access to this gamer system Admin has developed.” He said and vanished.
“At once my lord!” The scientists said.
All sides were moving after the sudden start and end of another war against the villains.
