The nearest one was the pure mage class, and it showed a man wearing dark robes, and surrounded by a crackling storm of purple light. In fact, it almost looked like his Void energy. Could it be that his exploration of his connection to that element had driven a special class to be formed for him? Excited, he opened the description.
Novice Voidcaster:Tier 2 Legendary Class
The Void is the most destructive force in the universe, and you have learned how to channel it, drawing its power into your mana and techniques. With such great power comes great potential, and this class is the result of that. Fusing pure destructive power with magical supremacy, Voidcasters can destroy all that stands in their way.

Jonathan raised his eyebrows at the incredibly powerful class before him. It was actually a bit stronger than he had expected, giving 22 points rather than 20, which made sense, given that it was the best possible class that he could have gotten. He almost picked it there and then, but decided to hold out for the last one.
The final statue was one of a man who was seemingly a mix between the two paths that he had been shown. The man was clad in armor, and each fist blazed with magical energy. Jonathan began to feel a connection to the statue as soon as he saw it, and he opened the description.
Novice Elemental Juggernaut:Tier 2 Legendary Class
Blending magical power and physical might, you tread the path between the paths, using elemental energy to supplement your abilities. Mana holds no mysteries for you, and you focus equally on all of your abilities. While this is a balanced class, with no true strengths in any area, it makes up for this with unmatched potential and versatility.
+3 to all stats per level, + 4 additional free points.
It was basically an upgraded version of his Outsider class, and it was now up to him to weigh it against the merits of the other Legendary class offered to him. Jonathan had no intention of settling for anything less than the best.
Both classes had their strengths, and Voidcaster seemed to be a bit more powerful given that it was skewed almost entirely towards magical power, and his Void energy. However, Jonathan was still wary of locking himself into one path to power. Still, it was a very hard choice to make.
He thought over it for a few minutes, agonizing over whether one class or the other was a better option. Finally, he made his choice. He was already walking along the path of versatility anyway, and there was not really any reason to change that.
He quickly picked Novice Elemental Juggernaut, and the world crumbled around him. Jonathan found himself back in the cave, and he instinctively opened his stat sheet.

Jonathan closed his stat sheet, ecstatic about the power that he had gained. He had not gained anything from his new class yet, as it had not leveled yet, but he had a plethora of added power from his various level ups and fights since he had checked last. His stamina was now in the quintuple digits, a huge leap from before. Another notification waited for him however, and he quickly opened it.
For reaching Tier 2, you can now choose a new boon, based on your class. These boons can only be upgraded once per Tier.
Available Tier 2 Boons.
Juggernaut Body
Elemental Focus
There were only two available boons, one for each aspect of his class, but they both seemed more powerful than the Tier 1 boons had been. However, the first one seemed more useful for now, as his skill set focused on physical might. In addition, the lack of an explanation meant that he could not make an informed decision.
He quickly selected Juggernaut Body. Immediately, pain ripped across his body, and his muscles and bones became denser, increasing his defense. Then the feeling was gone. Jonathan got to his feet, and he could feel the power of his Tier up coursing through him, enhancing his body and supporting its functions. He felt no hunger or thirst, or any tiredness for that matter. He knew that he could still eat or drink, or even sleep for that matter if he wanted to, but he had no need for such things anymore. It seemed that Tier 1 had been akin to a sort of tutorial, but now he had reached the beginnings of true power.
Getting to his feet, Jonathan clenched his fist, and closed his eyes, feeling the connection to his new class. It felt incredible. He opened his eyes and walked out of the cave, taking in the city below. Little had changed since he had first left, but some of the buildings were more finished now, and it looked as if his people were doing well for themselves. As members of his faction, the citizens of the city were his responsibility, and his new power would help him protect them.
He was starting to realize that his journey would be useless without allies, especially as he moved between circles of the Hells. If there was no allied presence left behind him, then the state of the world would simply return to what it had been before.
As Jonathan looked down at the walled city below, he unleashed his aura to its fullest, wanting to feel for himself what it was like. A dome of purple energy, mixed in with the golden light of his Divinity, spread outwards from him, and ripples of secondary power shot out in all directions. A few moments later, he saw a man flying through the air towards him. It seemed as if Edgar had felt his aura. Edgar touched down in front of Jonathan, smiling broadly.
“You did it! How is the new class feeling?” Edgar asked.
“Pretty good. I was able to get the most powerful class possible for this tier, it seems. Hopefully you will be able to do the same,” Jonathan replied.
“Most powerful class?” Edgar asked, frowning. “What do you mean?”
“It looks like classes past Tier 2 are ranked in the same way as skills. Did you not know that from your time in Telvaria?”
“Like I said before, the access to information that Tier 1s had was severely limited. There was almost no information about the power that the later tiers entailed. However this sounds like it is even more promising than I expected.”
“Well, how about we get you to Tier 2 as well? I am nowhere near strong enough to defeat Granath yet, and it would be a better use of our time in the near future to bulk up the defenses of this city. If these people could find us, I doubt that we have much longer until the forces of Granath come knocking on the gates. When that happens, we need to be ready. Two Tier 2 fighters will be a lot better than one, especially if I level up a bit more with my new class.”
“I would wish for nothing less. How will we make sure that the city remains safe in our absence through? If we both leave, it will be extremely vulnerable,” Edgar said, frowning.
“I can use one of my skills to attract some monsters a bit away from the city. We can do it far away enough that they will not find this place, but close enough that we can retreat at a moment’s notice. Does that sound reasonable enough?”
Edgar only nodded in response, and Jonathan started to get ready to leave. Edgar was already in his armor, and as such there was little to do between the two men. They both were in the habit of being prepared at all times, a task that was made far easier by their lack of a need for sleep. Now that Jonathan was truly able to go without rest however, he was a little better off than Edgar in this regard. Still, Edgar was only a few levels away from Tier 2, and he would be there soon enough if they did this right.
