The two men gave each other a relieved glance as a small chest appeared on the far end of the cavern, where the entrance to the final section of the dungeon was. Jonathan, who was closer, headed over and opened the chest revealing a suit of leather armor that was inlaid with metal. He quickly passed it over to Edgar, who was in dire need of some protection. His guard armor from the city had been too constricting and he had left it behind.
Edgar scanned the armor and evidently was pleased, as his face lit up. He quickly donned the armor and walked up to the chest next to Jonathan, looking at the remainder of the items within it. There was a small wand in there that Edgar also picked up, which reminded Jonathan of the wand that he had stolen from that merchant back in the capital.
“You should take this as well,” Jonathan said, tossing Edgar the elemental focusing wand that had been in his storage device. Jonathan had largely forgotten about the weapon, having had bigger things on his mind.
Edgar caught it deftly and gave the wand a spin, channeling his elemental energy through it. A lance of highly compressed wind shot out, fracturing a rock on the far end of the cavern. Edgar smiled and tucked the wand into his belt.
There was one last item in the chest, a small vial filled with red liquid. Jonathan instantly recognized it as a healing potion, and he quickly stored it in his pouch, in order to protect it from being broken. With their new spoils, Jonathan decided that it was high time to check his stats, as well as those of Edgar. Neither man had seen one another’s stat sheet, and it was time to change that.
Jonathan had not checked on his stat sheet in quite some time, and he was looking forward to surveying his new gains. Without further ado, he popped open his stat sheet, to survey his new stats and skills. He extended it to Edgar as well, concealing the bits pertaining to his Divinity and runes. He could exert great control over his stats sheet while showing it to others, in order to allay any privacy concerns. The System seemed to have thought of everything. Of course, to him, the relevant parts still showed up.

As Jonathan read the stat sheet, he was filled with a sense of profound accomplishment. He let out a small noise of astonishment, prompting Edgar to say something.
“What is the matter?” Edgar asked, looking up from his new armor, which he had been peering at for a solid minute by now.
Jonathan sighed.
“Nothing. I just had a lot more stat points than I thought. It seems like not paying attention for so long has caused my abilities to skyrocket.”
Because of the gradual and intuitive nature of System based stat gains, he had steadily increased in power at a rate that did not make itself self-evident. Instead, it seemed natural, no matter how much strength he had.
“I see. The presence of the System has started to have more of an impact on you as you gain strength. I was wondering if I was the only one. As I grow in power, approaching Tier 2, it feels as if this state was one that I have been in my entire life, as if I have always been this strong. I assume that is what ails you?”
“Well, take a look at my stat sheet, and see if I am right about that,” Jonathan replied, noting that the other man had not yet accepted the invitation from Jonathan to do so.
Edgar frowned, before tilting his head.
“Are you sure? Such a gesture if one normally only extended to those you trust implicitly. Have I really reached that level in your mind?”
“Oh. Is that some cultural thing from Telvaria? I was never really well versed in such matters. Still, we have fought and killed together. I believe that some trust is in order.”
Jonathan pushed the notification towards Edgar with his mind, causing it to pop up again, or at least that was what he imagined it doing. He had no way to access whatever it was that Edgar was seeing at the moment.
“Very well. However, I will do the same for you. Here you are.”
Jonathan nodded, and a notification appeared a moment later.
Edgar Lackland has offered to share his status sheet with you.
Accept?
Y/N
Jonathan pressed yes, prompting a stat sheet to appear in front of him. It was very different from his own.

The stat sheet was shorter than his own, Jonathan noticed almost immediately. However, Edgar seemed to be focused on one specific thing, which was his mastery of the wind. Jonathan idly began to flick through the skills, interested in what they said. He started at the lowest one first.
Aoelic Shield:Rare
The wind is like a distant relation to you, and it is more than happy to shield you with its embrace. While not as durable as shields of other elements, it will still serve faithfully and reliably in battle.
Gust of Haste:Rare
You may temporarily increase the speed of yourself and one ally with this skill, empowering them with the power of the wind. When under the effects of this skill, movement is increased at an amount proportional to the strength of the caster and the strength of the receiver. If cast on oneself, speed will be increased by a quarter over the norm.
Wind Channeling:Epic
The center of your path is that of the Air, and you are able to manipulate the currents of the wind around you, creating spell constructs and attacks out of the fabric of the natural world. Using this skill will result in less power than individually tailored skills, but will grant far more versatility. You can improve the power and stability of these constructs with your mana and elemental energy.
Levitate:Epic
The pull of gravity holds limited power over one of your affinity for the wind, and you may escape its hold for a limited period, allowing you to approximate flight. This flight is highly taxing on your mana reserves however, and you must pay close attention to your expectations, versus the reality of your power.
Will of the Wind:Legendary
In connecting with the conceptual nature of your element, you have discovered the true essence of the Air, that of freedom. On a highly limited scale, you may imbue your techniques with this concept, allowing you to lower the weight of objects that you, or your skill, come in contact with.
