Short summary of the last chapter:
Spoiler :
Voice tortured a guy to death. He obtained some skills from that, and fused them. He gave Evan the Heavenly Metal, and asked for Sais. He went to mage’s tower, and got the guild master to agree to join his mage’s Guild. The wind mage tried to force him into a wizards duel. Voice enhanced Sol, and beat the wind mage in a ‘duel’ that Voice designed.

Voice turned to the assistant guy.
“I was wondering if I could summon another sprite. I have the affinity.”
The Ex-guild Master’s assistant, Ted, looked at Voice. “Oh? Well, I’m sorry to say that this Guild is only equipped with summoning light fairies. I could show you the location of a guild that specializes in summoning. They would be able to summon any type as long as you had the affinity and mana.” Voice sullenly nodded.
“Please do. Although I don’t have a map.” The assistant went to go get Voice a map. Voice walked over to the desk. He walked past the sobbing man that held his staff. He walked past the seven figures staring at him over the outcome. He walked past his new slave Guild Master. He only had to wait a few seconds before Assistant came back with a map.
“I’ve marked all of the locations of nearby Mage’s Guilds, based on what fairy they can help you summon.”
Voice thanked the man and turned towards his newly recruited Guild Master. “You can stay here, doing whatever you want. I am going to find somewhere to start a city. When I do, I expect you to honor your part of the agreement. Also, any money you make off of selling my spell is guild property. I want you to try to build up my guild with it. You are free to do whatever you want with it, as long as it benefits the guild. I grant you permission to make my spell book until I otherwise state.”
Voice looked at the map while he was walking back to Susan’s. It was already very late, so there was no light to help him read by, except for Sol. Voice wanted to make it so he could produce light himself, in case there was a reason Sol could not. Not to mention it was past midnight, so Sol was soundly sleeping in Voice’s chest. He concentrated, and tried to imagine what it would be like if his hands were encased in light. They would feel a little warm, and give off an orb to see by.
As Voice pictured each part of the spell, he grew more confident in its success. He visualized the color and intensity of the lights they would give off. He pictured the shadows it would cast. He made sure to put everything he thought would happen, into his imagination.
After picturing the entire process, he started channeling mana into his hands. After a few seconds of channeling, he opened his eyes. His hands were as dull as they always were. Ok, I’ve got to figure out some way to do this. He started thinking of how to produce the light. He couldn’t encase his hands in the orb, but maybe … maybe he could make the light seep out of his skin!
He again concentrated on his hands. He infused them with as much light mana as he could. He pictured the light seeping out of his pores. He imagined it flowing like a river out of his skin. When he opened his eyes, he noticed his hands were glowing! At least patches of his skin were. Tiny rivers of light came out of his pores, and soon dissipated as they flew in the air. At least it worked. YEAH!
Voice felt triumphant, even if he did not get exactly what he wanted. He managed to get something that gave him close to the same results. He had never felt light that was produced by his hands, so he felt happy that he could create t. He could easily read with the ambient light produced by his skill. The two main problems were: 1) it cost a lot of mana, and 2) the light was constantly flowing and flickering. Number 2 made it so they light didn’t stay on the part of his book he wanted for long enough.
Voice concentrated on the flow of mana. He pictured the mana only on his right hand, and condensed it around his palm. He was holding the map with his left hand, so did not need the mana to come out of it. He pictured a thin layer of light pouring from his hand. He made sure the light was bright enough to reach six inches. That was how far he planned to have his hand from the map.
He started the flow of mana again.
You have created a new spell: Palm Reading.
Palm Reading
The caster emits a small, dim light from the caster’s palm. This light shines for a distance equal to (5 + (light affinity/20) * Aura) inches.
This light is only bright enough to read things close up. The uses for this spell are very limited. This light cannot heal or cause damage to undead.
The base spell cost for this spell is 25 mana per second.
Voice wore a smug smile. He actually created a spell from nothing. I bet none of these other newbs could do that! Voice read the map. It had a dozen cities marked on it. It looked like an ordinary map, but had some cities marked with different colors. Voice decided those cities were the ones that could help him summon the fairies.
Voice practiced some other spell after he made the Palm Reading one. If he could make a new spell, he figured he could replicate the effects of others. He realized that he didn’t have to cast the magic on himself. He practiced until he got to Susan’s. He eventually managed to create a fireball, but couldn’t figure out how to launch it. It had still taken an hour.
He made it back to Susan’s, and went to sleep. When he woke, he saw Heather sleeping near him. Voice decided he was going to go to a nearby city, so that he could get a new fairy.
Voice woke Heather and went downstairs. He found Susan working on some new experiment. He put a hand on her shoulder. He want to seem as understanding and regretful as possible.
“Hi Susan. We need to talk.” Susan turned towards him. She had a concerned look on her face.
“What’s wrong?”
Voice made a face the portrayed resignation. “I have to leave town. I am going to start a new city, but to do that I need to find somewhere that would make a good place to live. I will make sure to find some way to let you know when I find a place to settle.”
Susan gave Voice a look that said ‘no, don’t go!’. She looked down, and took a deep breath. “I see. Well, when do you leave?” She had a look of acceptance. She didn’t want Voice to go, but she knew he would have to. He was an other-worlder after all.
“I really wish you could stay longer. What about learning the merchant’s trade? You wanted to do that right?” Susan’s face lit up a little after thinking about that.
Voice just shook his head. “I’m really sorry, but I have to do this.” Susan nodded. She said, “Alright, but at least stop by here before you leave. I’ll have something for you. Also Evan put the staff you ordered over there.”

Voice thanked her with a heartfelt thanks. Free stuff was good stuff. He went over to Evan’s house. The house before Evan’s looked as though they were renovating. It was still mid-morning, Evan had said the Sais would be done by noon. Voice figured if he was a good blacksmith he could get it done faster than that.
He walked up to the smith. For a second, Voice though the game had turned into a zombie apocalypse style game. Evan and his two assistants looked like they were living dead. Their skin was sunken in, and paler than normal. Their eyes had dark bags under them, and they shuffled about as if they had arthritis.
Voice approached Evan. “Hello, Brother!” Voice tried to sound cheerful. He figured if something bad had happened to the group they would have had Susan help. Evan looked up. Upon seeing Voice, his demeanor had a drastic change. He stood upright, and gave a stern look to his apprentices, causing them to do the same.
Evan gave a weak smile back. “Hello. I’ve been waiting for you. We finished these earlier this morning, but I wanted all of us to be here when we give it to you.” Evan forced another smile as he handed Voice the Sais.
The Sais were elegant. It seemed as though a carver instead of a blacksmith made them. The two weapons gleamed in the morning light. They were pure with, wrapped in red leather as the hilts. Each prong of the Sais seemed as if was unnaturally sharp.

Voice examined the pair of Sais. After looking over them he could find no flaws. He stood in stunned silence at the sheer power of the Sais. Fuck! I just passed up a fucking GOLD MINE! Voice maintained a studious expression, but inwardly was filled with hatred towards his earlier self.
When he finally began to speak the three makers of the weapons seemed to release all of their tension. “These are AWESOME!” He gave Evan the strongest hug he could. “And did you level up to master while I wasn’t looking?”
Evan shrugged as he smiled. “Well with the material you gave me I was able to finally create something that helped me get that last bit of exp I needed.” Voice smiled at him. He adopted a pensive posture. He had been wondering who he was getting all of his enchants from. It seemed as though both Evan and Susan knew this mysterious person.
“So Evan, how did you get this enchanted?”
Evan mumbled something about a promise.
Voice shook his head. “No, it’s ok. Never mind. Forget I asked. I came by to get these, and thank you. I am going to have to leave the city soon. I need to go and find my own place in the world. If you’d like you are more than welcome to come to the city I am going to eventually make. What do you think?”
Evan thought about it for a moment. He didn’t even know Voice wanted to actually make a city. “I’d have to try to convince Eli to come. But if she agrees I don’t see why not.” Evan clapped him on the shoulder. “Just be sure not to die before then, eh? I’d be honor bound to hunt whatever killed you.” With a smile, and a wave Voice headed off. He only had three more things to do in this city.
He headed towards the library. He had a few silver thanks to the occasional copper drop from the wolves he hunted. He didn’t know why they had money, but it was scarce enough to not throw up any red flags. He walked towards the library. Sol chose that moment to wake up. As the little ball of light seemed to stretch it laid on Voice’s head.
As he entered the library he saw Lydia talking to a group of three large men. Ancestor spoke to Voice. “I might have been gone a long time, but the look of men for hire is always the same.”
Voice took out his staff. He told Heather to get ready for a fight. The group seemed to be getting very adamant. Voice coughed to get their attention. The three men turned towards Voice. Each had drawn their swords as they turned.
The largest man seemed to recognize Voice. Suddenly something clicked in his head. In a baritone voice the man said, “Did Lydia give you the book by Hermit Mirror?” The man seemed to be trying to intimidate Voice. Voice noted that they did not raise their swords to Lydia though. If they had Voice could have guiltlessly killed them.
“She did. Why does it matter?” Voice stated matter-of-factly.
“A long time ago she made a bet with our master. The bet was that he wouldn’t be able to figure out the name of the book in her possession. He was to be given the book if he did. Well he did, but she says she doesn’t have it anymore.”
Voice sighed and brought out his Compendium for the group to see. He walked over to the leader, ignoring the other two swords pointed at him. “Well I can’t really give it to him since it is a part of my Compendium now. I am going on an adventure starting today. If he can convince me to part with this Compendium, without threats, then he can have it. Until then you should probably leave. Lydia looks rather angry.” Lydia went along with Voice. She put on a deep scowl, and glared daggers at the men. When they turned around and saw this, they shivered. Guess she holds some sort of power.
The men left after grumbling about how they would be back. Heather was simply trying to look meek this entire time. She wanted to catch one of them by surprise if they attacked.
Voice smiled towards Lydia. “Well it looks like you have as many friends as Susan.” Lydia gave him a smile.
“And to what do I owe the pleasure? Are you here to take another of my rare books?” She said that last bit with a slight mocking tone.
“Not really, but I do have something to ask you about.” He showed her the Compendium. (it was still in his inventory) When she laid eyes on it her mouth dropped open. I guess it’s better than I thought.
“I was wondering if you have any information I can buy about Compendiums.”
Voice waited for a minute while Lydia looked the book over. “What? Oh yes. Third floor, Author name is Diviticus.”
Voice quickly found that section. He saw that there were only three books by that author. ‘Creation of A Compendium’, ‘Knowledge Creation in Compendiums’, and ‘Evolutions of Compendiums’. The last one had a gold plated cover. He also found a section on cooking on the first floor. He still hadn’t leveled his cooking skill up to apprentice. He wanted to know why. He found a book that said ‘How to obtain High Ranks in the Cooking skill’. He grabbed it.
Voice took all four to Lydia. “How much are these?” Voice asked. Lydia was still stunned about Voice’s book.
“Can I borrow this book for a moment? It won’t let me open it since it says it’s in your inventory.”
Voice shook his head. “If I did that it would become your possession. I’d rather not.” Lydia nodded. She understood the sentiment.
“Sooo, how much are these each?” Lydia looked at the books Voice handed to her. Lydia thought for a moment.
“Well, they are each about two gold. The gold-covered one is five.” Voice hung his head. He didn’t even have one gold. There was no way he could afford those.
Lydia continue. “Susan came by a moment ago. She said you were creating a new city, is that true?”
Voice nodded. His master plan had been dashed to the ground.
“Yeah, why do you ask?”
Lydia smiled. “Well, if you can promise me a library as grand as this one, and provide a transport of me and my books, I would be willing to give you these books for free.”
Voice nodded his head excitedly. “Sure I can do that.” He had no real intention of doing that. At most he would say ‘sorry couldn’t do it lol’.
You have accepted this quest.
Success: Creating a library in a city you build, and taking Lydia and all of her books to it.
Difficulty: Medium
Failure: Not transporting Lydia and her books to a city you own.
Reward: Already given.
Failure leads to maximum hostility with Lydia, and decreased intimacy with Susan. Lydia will do everything in her considerable power to make you pay for lying to her.
Ps. Thought you could just accept and not do it? LOL
FUUUUUCK! I didn’t want to actually fucking do it! Voice decided to give the books back to her. That is until he saw that he didn’t have them in his inventory anymore. Fearing what he would see, he looked at his Compendium.
A bright light was expanding from it. Voice cursed his luck.
When the light died down, Voice forced a smile for Lydia. “See you soon, in my new city!” He tried acting cheerful as he left. With his newly upgraded Compendium, he set off. He noticed that his Compendium was compiling the info from the books. It seemed that he would have to wait to get the info from them.
“Heather, go out and find EDI. Get her to come to Susan’s.” Heather nodded, and went to search. Voice could have just messaged her, but he felt that it wouldn’t be good for Heather to be idle for too long.
He only had two more things to do in the city. As he walked to the training hall, he felt bad that he was going to leave this city. He felt a little op being able to give out quests. He decided to think of some super awesome quest he could give out before he left. He wanted to make as much of an impression as possible with the new players.
He wanted to make his guild, but he needed two other players at least. It would be much better if he could make the guild start with a few dozen players.
He made it to the training hall after having thought of a few quests that seemed like they could work in his favor.
He opened the door. He quickly located his staff instructor Steve. When he saw Steve he gave him the staff he had borrowed. “Thank you so much for letting me borrow this! I got a new one form Evan, so I no longer need to borrow it. I can safely say it was thanks to this staff that I beat Davros’ Champion.” Voice lied. Steve looked at the staff with a pleased look. Voice bowed and left, not wanting to waste any more time.
He decided to run to Susan’s he felt a bit nostalgic to this city. He had a lot of good memories here. It wasn’t like he was going to never come back, but he probably wouldn’t’ be back for a while. He was out of breath by the time he made it to Susan’s, but not so much that he almost fainted.
When he arrived there it was a little past noon. Voice saw Evan, Susan, Elizabeth, Lydia, EDI, Heather, the Mage’s Guild Master, and the head priest from the chapel all talking together in a group.
“Hey guys, what’s the commotion about?” Voice looked around. They all seemed to have a slightly sullen expression. Except the priest, he just looked downtrodden for some reason.
The priest spoke. “We are all just saddened to lose someone as great as yourself. You have helped us, and the people of Rand, and Mar’s People, more than anyone could ever ask. We were just talking about the short time you had been here. It’s barely been more than a month after all.”

Susan came up to him. “Here this is from me.” She handed him a belt.

This armor was made by an expert tailor. This belt was made by a master enchanter. This belt was enchanted with 1 Gravity Mana Crystal.
Voice stared at the blue box.
Elizabeth and her husband stepped forward. Evan spoke, “This is from me and Eli.” Evan handed him a pair of gauntlets. It had a symbol of a hammer striking a sword on an anvil.
Heirloom RingThis ring is the family heirloom of the Smithington family. Evan and Elizabeth Smithington have gifted to a close family friend. This ring will allow the user to communicate directly with Evan and Elizabeth Smithington.
Really? THAT’S his last name!? Pfffft! While Voice choked back a laugh the head priest came up to him.
“This is from the church of Mar, to help you on your journey.” The priest handed Voice a large bag of seeds. It contained what seemed like high quality seeds. Voice went to thank him, but he handed Voice something else as well. “This is a token of my own gratitude, towards you and your fairy Sol. Not many people would allow others to use their fairies, and not many fairies would agree.” He handed Voice another bag, and a slip of paper.
Fairy FoodFairies use mana instead of food, but who doesn’t love something tasty?
Fairy food is a special blend of mana and herbs. This food was tailored to the interests of Light Fairies. Only the Church of Mar know how to create Light Fairy Food.
When he received the paper his book exploded in light.
The Guild master stepped forward. “I also have a bit of info for you. My I see your map?” Voice handed the man his map. When he got it back he noticed an extra dot. One that was just west of a city named M’ Path. The Guild Master whispered, “That right there is the only known location of a mana crystal. The only problem is no one has been able to find it. Only the mage’s guild knows about it, make sure not to tell anyone.”
Voice’s eyes opened wide at the words ‘mana crystal’. One of his boons had been the ability to use those. Crap, gotta train my earth affinity then.
EDI was the only one left. After the group gave their gifts, they said goodbye to Voice. They had enough sense to leave him and his girlfriend alone during this tragic parting.
EDI shyly looked at Voice. “So, you’re sure about leaving?” She almost seemed as though she wanted him to stay.
“Yeah, I’ve got to go make a name for myself.” Voice didn’t know why but he suddenly got the feeling that he didn’t want to leave EDI. OH! I bet it’s cause she is a good DPS!
Voice smiled. His smile caught EDI off guard. “I do have something for you though, EDI.” EDI looked quizzically at him. “Hold out your hands and close your eyes.” She did as she was told, with a slight giddiness. She was going to get a gift from Voice! She had come to understand that he was probably the only other person she could talk to besides her moms.
Voice asked, “So what’s your Dex?” EDI replied, “119!” Voice nodded and handed her the Sais. When she felt the weight of them she opened her eyes.
!!!
Her simple Identify skill wasn’t enough to actually see all of the info about them. All she could see was the name, damage, durability, and a strange description.
Living Sai of the VampireMaterial Quality???Work Quality???Damage100-165(Plus 25 Health Absorption)Durability200/200This weapon was created because of the feelings Voice0fReason holds for EDI. This Sai represents all of his feelings for her.
She didn’t know what those feelings were, but the fact that Voice had put his feelings into these was obvious. Even if she didn’t know the feelings, she could tell that these were very high quality. Each one dealt the damage of five of her current Sais! That was without whatever damage Absorption did. She didn’t know what that did, but most likely it gave her some of the target’s health. She didn’t know what made the Sai living, but it was probably good. The only thing she had that was even close was her starting item.
She hugged Voice. “Thank you SO much! I’ll always treasure them!” She saw Voice blush slightly at the embrace. His embarrassed face looked kind of cute.
Voice stammered out a reply. “Y-yeah, you’re welcome. So, uh, I have a request.”
EDI looked at the semi-bashful Voice.
Voice didn’t know why EDI would hug him out of nowhere, so he was a little thrown off by it. He was sure that she would make a good companion while fighting, though. So he offered a deal.
“I want to do something amazing with my life in here. How would you like to come with me?”
EDI smiled at Voice. “Of course!” She was happy that someone needed her. It didn’t hurt that he was so kind to all of the NPCs and animals either. She was only too happy to accept.
Perfect, now I have two minions. Maybe I should start getting them stuff. I could make it so they would die for me. Hehehe With the thought of two scapegoats, Voice walked out of the city. He looked back as this was the last time he’d see it for a while.
Voice took EDI to the fountain. He used his wind magic to call out to the city. “RARE QUEST! RARE QUEST!” He called out to all four corners. The players instantly recognized him as the Man by the Fountain. He had equipped his title right before calling out.
The people gathered around him. As the first person came to him he began speaking to the group. He shouted his sentences so the entire crowd could hear. “DO YOU NOT FEEL LIKE ANIMALS DESERVE TO LIVE!? DO THEY NOT DESERVE PEACE AND LOVE!? I HAVE A QUEST! SAVE THE ANIMALS! NO LONGER WILL KILLING INNOCENT ANNIMALS BE ALLOWED! NO LONGER WILL EVIL BE TOLERATED! MONSTER’S KEEP THEIR MEMORIES WHEN THEY DIE! ANIMALS DO NOT! IS NOT KILLING ANIMALS THE SAME AS MURDER!? I GIVE THIS QUEST IN GOOD FAITH. HELP PROTECT GAIA’S CREATURES!”
All of the players in the area, except EDI and Voice, got a quest notification.
The Man by the Fountain has given a quest.
Success: Help stop the killing of innocent animals.
Difficulty: ???
Failure: Allowing innocent animals to be killed with your knowledge.
Reward: The Man by the Fountain will offer you a place in his city! Gaia will grant you 25 Nature Affinity for protecting her children for long periods of time.
Failure leads to Gaia refusing to give you Nature Affinity, ever. You will not be allowed to join The Man by the Fountain’s city.
This quest is sharable. You can give this quest out to anyone willing, as long as you have not failed. Once you fail you cannot try this quest again.
Do you accept?
Voice got a notification as well.
You have created a quest to protect innocents, as your final quest for an undeterminable length of time. Mar has granted you 10 Light Affinity.
You have gained 9 compassion for providing protection to the innocent.
You have created a quest to protect Gaia’s children, as your final quest for an undeterminable length of time. Gaia has granted you 25 Nature Affinity. Gaia has increased her blessing towards you.
Many Blessings of Gaia (Major)
For showing your love of nature to Gaia you have been gifted with her blessing.
You will naturally produce pheromones. You can currently release:
Territorial Pheromone
Reproductive Pheromone
When used, Territorial Pheromones will indicate to others of your species that this area is yours. Others of your species will be alerted to who the territory belongs to. If they wish harm to you they will suffer (minor) psychological impairments.
When used, Reproductive Pheromones will indicate to those that mate with your sex your wish to copulate. This pheromone will grant favor with the those that mate with your sex. (only useful to other humanoids). Those affected by this will be more likely to grant you favor.
FUCK YEAH! I can finally try out those damn pheromones! I should probably do it alone though. I don’t know what would happen if I were to use either one around EDI.
Voice called, and gave out the quest, four more times. It seemed like the voice enhancing magic didn’t have a Cooldown timer. After giving out the quest he carefully devised he left. EDI and Heather followed quickly behind.
When they exited the city Voice heard Ancestor say, “If you are going to stay with her for a while you might want to tell EDI your true race. If she finds out later, she may hate you for it.” It seemed Ancestor understood that Voice didn’t want EDI to hate him. Enough to even reveal one of his bigger secrets.
Voice thought over the suggestion for a while. He nodded to himself. “EDI, there is something personal I need to show you.” Voice toggled off his disguise ability. EDI gasped slightly when she saw him.
“You’re an Ancient Elf!?” She cried out.
Voice looked around, “Shh, yes I got it during my childhood.” Voice gave her a self-important smile.
EDI looked impressed. “Wow, I can’t believe you could figure something like that out. I heard that the secret races were hard to fuse, since you needed an exact combination on both sides.”
Voice nodded as if he knew all of this. When he turned his head to start the journey, he noticed a group of three players surrounding two shivering rabbits. They all wore Demon Wolf Leather armor.
An idea quickly formed. “EDI how do you feel about PK?” EDI blinked.
“PK? I don’t know what that is. I haven’t played many other MMOs.”
Voice nodded. “That’s ok. It means Player Killing. See those three?” Voice pointed them out. EDI nodded. “I was thinking how it wasn’t nice of them to pray on animals. Should we go help?” EDI’s face contorted into a gruesome smile. She nodded, ready for blood. “Good, now give me a second to try and disguise you. I don’t even know if I can though.” Voice looked quite a bit different in his elf form. Besides the longer ears, and almond shaped eyes, his face and body were different. His body had a slightly thinner build, and his face adopted a feline look.
He tried to focus on EDI, and toggled Disguise. Nothing happened. Voice heard Ancestor chuckle. What is it? Voice demanded. He was trying hard enough without being laughed at.
Ancestor chuckled again, “Well, you aren’t thinking of how you want her to look. Remember when I trained you? I had you imagine the way you wanted to look. I don’t know if you can disguise her, but you have to at least imagine how you want her to look!” Another round of laughter.
Voice tried to ignore it, as he imagined EDI looking like a man. He imagined her with darker skin, and a scar one her face. He even picked a new name. Gacy.
“AH!” EDI started when Voice toggled disguise on.
Voice looked at her worriedly at her, “What!? What happened?”
He saw EDI push something. “Uh I just got a notice. It asked if I’d let you perform ‘Disguise’ on me.”
Player Voice0fReason, is trying to use skill ‘Disguise’ on you. Do you accept?
While disguised by someone with this skill even the gods will not be able to tell who you are, as long as you can play the part.
The opponent gets a spot check to see through your disguise.
Suddenly EDI transformed. She stayed the same body size, but seemed to grow a bit of muscle, her skin darkened, and a scar appeared on her left cheek. Above her floated the name Gacy.
Voice got a notice.
You have created a new disguise for EDI. Would you like to record this?
You currently have 1 recorded disguise. You can have up to (wis/25) disguises recorded.
Voice chose yes. He would probably be using this disguise a lot. Since EDI was obviously ok with PKing. Voice smiled.
He disguised himself as well. He made himself a new disguise. He was human again, but this time had an evil look. His body was covered in scars, and had a perpetual scowl. His name was Bundy.
He quickly explained his plan. These players looked to be around level 15, so killing them would be absolutely no problem.
After discussing the plan, the two ran towards the players. EDI hid herself using stealth. Voice ran towards them, his staff wasn’t equipped.
He cast the fireball. He threw it, by causing it to fly with wind magic. One of the players was immediately hit in the face by a ball of burning gas. The player screamed as they clawed at their face.
The ball only did about 40 damage, but caused a burning effect for a few seconds. While the two other players turned to look at Voice, ‘Bundy’, one of them was stabbed. EDI had gone around the group. As soon as Voice had their attention, EDI jumped in front of the one that was furthest back. He was taken by surprise, and EDI stabbed him in the eye with her new Sais.
The person attacked by the fireball recovered just as EDI dropped her target’s health to zero. A few quick strikes to his eyes was all it took.
The two turned towards EDI after hearing her kill their companion. The girl that had not been attacked ran at EDI with her longsword. Voice pushed her by throwing a large gust of wind at her side. He still had to channel it around himself, so the power wasn’t at max.
EDI capitalized on this by jumping on the girl. The final ‘warrior’ started running towards the city, hoping the guards could help. Voice stood there with a smile. Before the man had gone more than a few steps, Heather pounced on him. She landed with her teeth sinking deeply into the man’s calf.
With another scream the man fell to the ground. Heather seemed to enjoy consuming human’s flesh. She decimated him. After making sure he couldn’t run, Heather tore out his throat.
Mental note, watch out for Heather. He looked back at EDI. She was grinning while mercilessly stabbing her opponent in the face. Mental note 2, don’t fuck with EDI.
