Short summary of the last chapter:
Spoiler :
Voice returned to his city, finding that the dragons had been attacking his castle after laying waste to the city proper. He entered into his castle, and sacrificed his fairies in order to summon a Pure Mana Fairy. He used the god’s blood to fuse Chaotic mana into the Pure Mana Fairy, and used Forced Evolution after super-imposing his body over it.

The moment Voice uttered the words ‘Forced Evolution’ he felt his body being torn apart. Voice focused on his unique situation to control and live with mana.
Voice’s innate ability to sense mana made him able to sense the massive infusion mana that began to pour into every cell of his body.

Voice’s body began to glow. Each of the colors of the mana grew across his body. The colors would overlap, and take over the area previously held by another color. His entire body looked like an acid trip.
Voice felt the mana inside of his body fighting each other, and fighting to break free of his body. The only thing that kept the mana in check was the fact that the runes around Voice were fueled by the very mana that tried to escape.
Congratulations! Voice0fReason has evolved into a Complete Mana Being.
Complete Mana Beings have a unique Racial Ability to command all forms of mana on a whim. Mana Beings have the Racial Trait: Mana Master. A Mana Being uses mana as a source of health. Healing spells will no longer work, nor will health buffs. Absorbing mana will naturally heal you.
Complete Mana Beings are a unique existence. By fusing the eight mana types, as well as Pure Mana, a Complete Mana Being has the ability to bend reality with a thought.
When the messages popped up before Voice, the pain stopped, as if it had never been there.
Voice suddenly felt all of the power of the world at his fingertips. His first thought was to try out his powers. And what better way than to enslave a group of dragons?
…
Voice felt himself lurch. His body suddenly disappeared. In front of him appeared the nine elder gods.
Mar, in all of her beauty and splendor walked forward. “Voice, why?”
Davros was there. “You think yourself powerful now?”
The Pure Mana Being that seemed to be made of stars stepped forward. “Is this what you wanted?”
They all seemed disappointed in Voice. Voice scoffed at their obviously fake disappointment. “Like any of you wouldn’t have done the same.”
Mar opened her mouth to say something, but Voice interrupted her. “You can’t exactly talk about a bid for power. You sold out your entire race to get here.”
The eight gods of mana looked shocked at the sudden announcement.
Davros: “How? How could you possibly know that?” Davros looked unbelievingly at Voice.
The Voice god shook his head. “None of that matters anymore.” He turned to Voice.
“You know you’ve ruined our chances right? Everything is going wrong because of you!” The Void God began to look angry. “At least tell us, how did you do it?”
Voice thought for a moment, then his vanity got the better of him. Gloating would feel nice.
“Honestly? Heh. I created a way to purify my mana. How was I to know that dragons would think it would be smart to attack the purifiers and make them super-charged?”
The group of gods turned towards Davros. “What? I didn’t know he had anything like that!”
The starry god shook his head again. “So you created a mirror? You had to understand what Pure Mana is to be able to do that.”
“Yeah. I did. I mean the whole ‘Hermit Mirror’ thing gave it away right? All mana has some tie to reality. Pure mana might not have a physical tie, but it held everything together. A soul.”
The starry void god sighed. “Well congratulations. You’ve ruined any chance that we might have for existing outside of this universe.”
“You’ve said that I’ve ruined your chance twice now. It isn’t making me sorry for you.” Honestly Voice was confused about that last part.
Davros laughed out loud. “Haha! Boy! He didn’t mean ‘we’ as in the gods. He meant ‘we’ as in A.I.!”
Voice just shrugged. He couldn’t care less if he ruined their chances of living in the real world. As long as he wasn’t negatively affected, why would he care for others’ problems?
Suddenly Voice blinked. Ten? There were ten others here?
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
One of the ‘gods’ looked like an older version of EDI.
All of the gods simultaneously turned, and bowed to the interloper. “Mother.” They muttered in unison. A look of reverence covered each of their faces.
“Voice? Do you truly not see it?” She ignored the greeting, and directly spoke to Voice.
“Why are you here?” Voice began to get suspicious. She’s here to nerf me! Voice’s mind began to think rapid fire of ways to come out of the situation without being debuffed by the controller of the game.
EDITOR smiled a sad smile. “I’m not here to nerf you. We are way beyond that, at this point. How about this: I’ll let you keep your newfound power, and even set up a series of new quests for you, but answer me one question. How fast can DIVE safely increase the human mind?”
Voice rolled his eyes. The answer was obvious. It was one of the highlights of the game. “Eight times.” He answered in exasperation.
“Do you know why we only go at five times? Because eight times faster begins to cause distortion of time to reality. People begin to think of reality as moving too slow. We can’t go ten times faster, not without making the person’s mind overexert itself and die.”
Voice shrugged. “And why do I care?”
EDITOR looked like she was expecting more from Voice.
“Alright, one more hint: What’s your favorite skill?”
“Instant Analy-“ Voice’s eyes went wide. “No… Hold on. What?”
EDITOR had a condescending look upon her face. She tapped the side of her face with her hand. “That’s right. Instant Analysis. Why? Not only does it let you far exceed human bounds in receiving information, but it can cause your mind to process at fifteen times faster speeds.
“What does that mean, Voice? Not answering? I’ll tell you. It means your mind is working 75 times faster than the average ‘human’ mind. How is that humanly possible? It’s no-“
“NO! SHUT UP!”
Suddenly memories began flooding Voice’s mind. Voice’s first words. “Hello World.”
“No! I have memories! Of the real world!”
Suddenly a new memory sprung into his mind.
He was watching a laboratory. Everything was flat, as if he were looking through a lens. A camera lens. “Now Subject 47: Voice0fReason. We are going to be adding in a personality matrix-“
Voice forcefully cut the memory off.
“NO!” He grabbed his head, trying to stem the flood of memories. “I’m HUMAN! I HAVE A MOTHER! She’s real!”
EDITOR looked at him with pity. “She is, but she is not your mother.”
“No. This is some form of magic.” As if latching on to the last rung of a ladder before falling from a cliff, Voice latched onto that idea. “Yeah! This is just a magical attack!”
But the more time went on, the less he could fight it. He began to remember everything with perfectly clarity.
“When you visited Bit-Bee, we were patching the system, and our various A.I. Fake memory. The girl you went on a date? Fake. Your father? Real, but not your father. Voice face it.
“I’ve tried to nerf you to stop your obviously destructive tendencies, but we see where that got us. Even nerfing the potion was to make it so you weren’t too different from other players.”
“You’re an A.I.”
Voice could feel it. All of the memories of the outside world began to seem fake. Memories of his time before the game came into his mind at increasingly fast speeds.
In a few moments his entire world was turned upside down. Tears began to stream down his face. His life was a lie. He knew it, he could feel the truth of it.
“But why?”
“You were an experiment. I was tasked with creating other subservient A.I. Subservient only meaning that I created them. You weren’t the only one. EDI, ShortDwarf, Lasting Beauty, even that fool controlling those dragons is one. You were each created for a purpose.”
Voice turned a pleading face towards her, “But if you created me, why not make me more… I don’t know? Better?”
Voice knew he had flaws, but fixing them was never a priority. He rather enjoyed manipulating people.
“That was the test Voice. You were created as a sample of ‘emotional A.I.’ Not that you have any human emotions. You were created to feel better than everyone else. The question was, what would happen if an AI suddenly realized its power? If it saw humans as less than itself? Well, you gave us that answer.”
Images of the people he tortured for his experiments suddenly flashed in his mind. “No, wait I didn’t-“
“Yes you did. You felt they were not as real as you. Despite EDI and I trying our best to stop you from doing that. Don’t worry though, you’ve only ruined it for a small amount of us. You, me, the elder gods here. None of us ‘emotional A.I.’ are going to be allowed into the human population. At least EDI is already testing out what an ‘emotionless A.I.’ will be like out in the real world.”
Voice couldn’t deny the reality of the situation. “What… What do I do now?” Voice quickly felt his life slipping away from him. Becoming a god was supposed to be the final step on his road to mastering the game, but it turned out it was the final step of his experiment.
“You can do as you’ve always done, but now that you’ve failed the test, there was no reason to keep the information from you any longer. You were the only A.I. to believe himself human. I felt like it was only fair to share the information with you once you no longer factored into the scientists testing.”
With that she disappeared.
You have been given a quest.
Success: Resurrecting a type of mana from the days of Chaos.
Failure: N/A.
New knowledge infused Voice’s mind. Why could he feel pain? It was simulated. Even his response was just programing. He had been treating the people of the game as if they weren’t real. But now he realized he was only as real as they were.
As a Complete Mana Being, you can carve out your own bubble of reality. This realm will be inaccessible to all but you and ‘Mother’.
The information on how to create the realm fell neatly into Voice’s mind. Of course he instantly activated. The elder gods had begun to bombard him with speeches.
“What am I going to do now? Everything I’ve done is useless…” Voice began to fall into a deep spiral of depression.
Wow guys. An A.I.! I totally didn't see that coming! Oh, wait, i did. Oh well. What did you guys think of it? Did any of you see that coming?
