Dive 29: Welcome Back to Rand

Short summary of the last chapter:

Spoiler :

Voice had a hard won battle with some sort of angel demon person. Voice obtained a ring that let him glide, and figured out a little more about his metal stomach.

Also, let me know if anything is wrong with the chapter! Be sure to comment, like (if you actually like it), and rate if you have the time!

As soon as Voice ran past the edge of the forest, he felt something familiar enter into his chest.

Voice heard a familiar voice start shooting off sentences. “Master! I have been so lonely without you. But I was sad that you left for so long, but I decided to help the chapel out since I found out you like to do that. I really did help too. I helped them heal many people. I couldn’t cure most of it, but the priests were there fo-“

Voice interrupted Sol. “Shhhh. It will be ok Sol. By the way do you know where Heather is?”

Hearing his master’s voice shut Sol up instantly. Sol thought for a moment before answering in a calmer tone. “Master, I think Heather is where you sleep.”

Voice nodded. Sol most likely meant Susan’s. Voice was making plans for the future on his way back to the city. The entire time Sol was going on about what he had done while Voice was gone. The light fairy had actually helped many people, even going so far as to raise Voice’s standing in the church of Mar.

Ancestor was not saying anything this entire time, so Voice just left it alone. Voice strode across the small plains area towards the city. The guards stopped him. As always, the guardsmen were tall and muscular.

“Halt! Show your name and state your business.” The guards barred entrance to the city with their spears. Voice gave them his best fake smile. Assholes don’t realize I could squash them.

What he thought wasn’t far from the truth. He was only a few feet away from them, and so could see a large red mark on each of their bodies. He could tell from several yards away that their levels were only 19 and 23. If he could beat a level 20 something wolf at level 19, he sure as hell would not lose to these two buffoons at level 24.

As he introduced himself, he gave a small bow. “Hello gentlemen. My name is Voice0fReason. You may know me as Mar’s Champion, or the Chosen of Mar. Perhaps the Master of the Green Herb? No? Have you heard of the person that bound the power of Davros? That’s me.” He noticed that they realized who they had stopped, but kept adding more titles to make the guards feel the full force of the one they had stopped. If they stop me, I sure as hell have the right to make them a bit uncomfortable.

After letting the two tremble slightly at the thought of angering him, he motioned to the guard’s spears. “Uh-uh, yes sorry.” The guard on the left raised his spear to allow Voice passage. He shot a glare at his fellow to do the same. The other guard hesitated. “Um, I think we… uh we still need to check you… um status screen.” The guard gave a satisfyingly terrified face.

Voice nodded. I guess people that follow the rules even when they fear death are all right. Voice admired the man’s dedication, and so showed the man his status screen. The guard had enough sense not to look past his name.

“Uh- Alright. Thank you sir! And thank you for saving all followers of Mar!” The guard that insisted he show his screen gave a deep bow of gratitude. Voice merely inclined his head slightly then walked through the gate.

Welcome to Rand.

Rand is heavily affiliated with the Goddess Mar. Any hostilities against her followers will result in an increase in hostility from all citizens of Rand. Mar has absolute power in Rand.

Well that’s new, it’s pretty cool though. Now to start building up my army. Hehehe.

Voice instructed Sol to go to the temple and assist with any healing they need. Sol gladly flew off to follow his master’s orders.

Voice had an evil smile as he thought of what the future held. He made his way to Evan’s. As he walked around the city people would stop and stare at him. Some pointed, some whispered to friends. Some ignored him completely.

Come to think of it, why is it that all of the people ignoring me are wearing the same shitty gear? OH!

Voice had gotten so used to not having others around he had forgotten that the other players would actually be in this town. Still though, it seemed as though only a few dozen people chose had Rand as a starting point.

He smiled as an idea formed in his mind. He would always have time to visit Evan and Susan later. He found his way to the fountain where the players started. He noticed a player pop into existence. Near the fountain was a group of girls talking about why they got the game. They had both gotten the game to become mages. Wonders never cease. He sent Evan a quick message explaining what he was going to do.

He sat down and gathered wind mana in his mouth. “CHEAP WOLF PELTS! GREAT FOR BEGINNER’S LIGHT ARMOR! ONLY FOUR STACKS LEFT! CHEAP WOLF CLAWS! HALF OFF FOR THE NEXT TWENTY MINUTES!” He used 1/4 of his mana to do that shout. He had to shout in four directions after all.

After calling four times a few players had started gathering to see what he was selling. In the front of the crowd was a young lady. “Hello miss. Would you like to buy some pelts to make leather?”

The woman wore slightly different garb than the rest of the rest. She had replaced her shirt with one that looked to be made of low quality leather. He opened up his inventory, and allowed her to view part of it. “You see I have just come from the forest. I have went through a lot of trouble to gather all of these demon wolf pelts. They are worth quite a bit more than the normal wolf pelt you are wearing.”

The woman was taken aback at how Voice could see what material her armor was made of. Her info only gave a brief description, and a very low quality one at that. She wondered what kind of level this strange person was to be able to determine that. She responded in a voice that might have been mistaken for an angel’s. “Well, good sir, I have not the money to pay for these pelts. I am terribly sorry to have made you think I was a shopper.” She hung her head and started to leave.

Voice shook his head. “Wait! Now I know many people around here are going through a lot of trouble. I am here to assist you travelers. Take these pelts to Evan the blacksmith. He will help you.” As he said that, he noticed a blue box.

The Elder Gods have been watching you since your victory over Davros.

Pleased with you, Mar has given you the ability to give out quests while in Rand. Mar has seen your attempt to help the people of Rand. You can only give out quests that can be completed in Rand, or the immediate area. You may only give out quests if you have the means to provide the promised reward.

If Rand becomes unaffiliated with Mar, you may no longer create quests there.

Mar can take away your ability to give quests in Rand.

You can only give out one quest to each person, until the forfeit the quest or complete it.

Voice was so shocked at the development he forgot to give the woman the pelts. He noticed she had started to walk away again. “Wait! Sorry about that. Mar herself just contacted me! Take these pelts to Evan and he will help you.”

She walked back and took the pelts, unsure of if this person could really give quests. As far as she knew, only npcs could. The only way he could was if he was an npc, and he looked like a player.

You have accepted this quest.

Success: Bring the pelts given to you to Evan the blacksmith.

Failure: Losing the pelts, or not bringing them to Evan.

Reward: Leather Armor from Evan the blacksmith.

Failure leads to decrease intimacy with Evan the blacksmith, as well as decrease with all NPCs related to Evan.

She gladly started to walk towards where the man giving out pelts pointed.

Voice continued to talk to his ‘customers’ like that. He would make them think he was selling high quality leather, and then give it to them free. He used Inspect on all of the people that came by his ‘shop’. Once the original group had all gone to Evan, Voice sent out another call. About the time he finished calling for more people, he felt a disturbance in the force air. It seemed like something was causing the wind to fluctuate. He looked in that direction and noticed something coming towards him. Before he could do anything, something tackled him.

He sat up with a grunt. Heather was on top of his chest. I guess Sol stopped be Susan’s place.

Voice smiled as he rubbed her pelt. It would probably sell for quite a bit if she ever died. “Hello there Heather. Did Sol tell you I was here?” He tried to make it sound as if that was what he intended.

Heather nodded enthusiastically. “Yup! Sooooo, did you bring me any wolf meat!?” She basically bounced on his chest. He shook his head sadly. “Sorry I didn’t.” He did not want to lie to her since Ancestor might still be listening.

“But how about this: You and I will go hunt wolves when I get the chance. Sound good?” the lack of wolf meat in her stomach slightly saddened Heather, but she nodded.

“Right now I am trying to help these travelers. Would you like to help me?” Heather agreed. Voice gave her a task. “Alright. I want you to look as cute as possible, not that that will be hard. I want you to go around town and try to get people to come to my shop.” Heather nodded and dashed off.

Voice had obviously inspected Heather. She had only managed to increase her level by three, while Voice was gone. He was now only one level behind her.

A small crowd had gathered to look at the cute little bunny. Voice smiled them and gave them all the same spiel, that he gave the group before. He always talked up his wolf pelts. He was leveling his Con Man skill, but it wasn’t getting very far.

It only took about three hours for Voice to run out of pelts. Heather running around town, and his voice enhancement, worked wonders. He gave each player two pieces of leather. Two pieces was enough to make something to cover their upper bodies.

After he emptied his stacks, he logged off. He warmed up some of his chicken products, and had a meal. After eating, and cleaning the dishes, he logged back on.

His idea for the pelts had been a stroke of genius really. He would give the new players free wolf pelts. Normally he would give these to Evan, but he had talked this entire plan over with Evan. Evan would get the pelts from the players, and give them free chest armor. This way both Evan, and Voice would garner some fame.

You have gained the title Man by the Fountain.

When you have this title equipped people will recognize you as the person that helped newbies get started in Solun.

By doing things that exemplify this title you will be given more fame.

You have obtained 10 fame for gaining this title.

After Voice read the notice, he dismissed it. He had Heather go kill whatever monsters were near the edge of the forest. He was going to keep any loot in the forest to himself.

He walked to the mage’s guild. The Shakespearian woman greeted him. He adopted his old English talking style. “Hello fair maiden. Tis a beautiful day is it not?” She smiled at him in response. It was a very sweet smile. He continued, “Perhaps it is not a beautiful day. Perhaps your overflowing beauty has started flowing in the wind.” As she blushed, Voice walked past her. He rolled his eyes when she couldn’t see him. Boring, that was too easy.

The old man that gave him the quest to create a new magic sat at the desk.

“I need an empty spell book.” The man looked at Voice, clearly startled. When he recognized Voice’s face, he jumped up to get the book. Voice waited for a few seconds, then the man handed him the book.

Voice didn’t know exactly what to do, so he just pictured the book getting the information on the spell. That seemed to do the trick.

You have created the first spell book to have Phoenix Fire.

He handed the man back the now filled spell book. It seemed that the man reading the spell book was the closing of the quest.

You have completed this quest.

For creating a new spell, the Mage’s Guild in Rand will forever remember your name.

Speak to the quest giver for your reward.

You have gained 50 fame.

The guild master’s assistant looked excitedly at Voice. “Thank you! I knew you could do it! How did you manage it? Wait no, don’t tell me. It will be more fun for me to figure it out.” He rummaged through his robe, and handed a small letter to Voice. “Here, take this. If you ever need anything from a Mage’s Guild that should be enough to get it for you.” Voice opened the paper, but couldn’t read it. He asked for another empty book since he had promised a friend that she would be the second one to get the spell.

The man obviously admired Voice’s commitment to his quests. Not only did he give Voice the extra book, he also told Voice something the Elder Gods had whispered to the mage’s guild’s masters.

“For giving me this treasure I shall tell you a secret, but you must not let anyone else know until it has already come to past.” Voice eagerly nodded his head. He was excited for the obvious quest.

“Good. The gods have told each of the Masters of the Mage’s Guilds that they were going to change the way world worked. I have heard that it has already happened in the recent past, but they will do so again! They are going to make the other worlders less omnipotent!” Voice frowned at this. More nerfs!? NOOOOOOO

The man continued. “The Elder Gods have said that they will force beings that use magic to have a ‘cooldown’ period after using an element. The more powerful the spell for that element the longer the Cooldown. I believe it was said that the same would go for abilities, and some skills.”

The man thought that this super-secret information would please Voice. Voice knew he couldn’t show his disappointment.

With a smile on his lips, he walked away. Next up on his list was visiting Lydia. He walked down the path. He noticed that most of the npcs would still stop and whisper when he came by. Some of the players even pointed him out to others.

Excellent. It will be much easier to start a guild if everyone thinks I’m doing charity. Speaking of…

He checked his status page. He had gained eight points of compassion. He nodded his head while he looked it over. I guess even con men can seem compassionate.

After walking for a few minutes, he arrived at the library. Just as imposing as I remember it.

He walked inside, and greeted Lydia. Lydia was at the front desk, and looked like the return pile of books had swamped her. Voice gave a short bow as Lydia noticed him. “Well, it seems to me that you are perpetually in need of assistance my dear Lydia. Perhaps I could help?”

She looked at Voice as though he were a godsend. “That would be terrific! Same reward as last time?” She gave him a sly wink.

You have accepted this quest.

Success: Getting all of the books to the proper shelves.

Difficulty: Low

Failure: Not getting all of the books to the proper shelves before the library closes, damaging any of the books, losing any of the books.

Reward: Being led to Lydia’s room.

Failure leads to decrease intimacy with the librarian, as well as not being led to Lydia’s room.

Voice ignored the flirting, and filled his inventory with books. He easily finished the two hundred books in less than an hour.

“Thank my heroic prince! Would you now whisk me away? Onward to my chambers!” She seemed to be having a lot of fun at his expense. Instead of following her when she got up, he showed her the spell book he had made.

“What’s this? Hm, a new spell book?” While she was trying to think over why Voice would hand her the book, Voice smiled expectedly. After patiently waiting for a few seconds, realization began to dawn on Lydia.

Voice waited there nonchalantly. Lydia looked at him, aghast. She spoke with stammering words. “Um-uh, this is… this is a book I’ve never seen before.” She gulped; obviously, she didn’t want to acknowledge what was happening.

She looked off into the distance for a brief moment. She sighed as she reached below her desk. “Fine. I won’t let it be said that I go back on my word.” She held the book out to Voice.

Voice reached for the book, only to encounter resistance while trying to take. He looked at Lydia’s hand, tightly clamped on the book. With a quick tug, he pulled it from her grasp.

“Thanks Lydia. Oh by the way,” He held the other Hermit book by the bottom corner, giving her just enough time to read the words on the cover. She recognized the book as one of the ultra-rare books in the series she just gave up. She gaped in astonishment, as Voice walked away.

//

While Voice was away, a few important things happened in the city of Rand. One was that Evan took on a second apprentice. With all of the pelts and materials Voice gave him, his business was booming. The only thing stopping him now was the lack of time in a day.

Evan had been on the cusp of mastering the smithing trade for many years, but now he finally had time do it. To become a master craftsman one needed to create something new and powerful. He was working on ways to meld metal to keep the protection and power, but reduce the weight.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.

His second apprentice was a bit of a clumsy boy, but a hard worker. His original apprentice was altogether too focused on his work. He would make a great blacksmith, but would have a very lonely life. Evan took it upon himself to make sure both of the boys would turn into fine young men.

Because of the donations Voice had given him, Evan had actually gained a title. Demon Wolf Armorer. Any armor he made with demon wolf pelts would be 10% more durable. That was a nice bonus. He would make one type of experimental armor a day. When he was done, he would price it according to what he thought it was worth, usually not much. He also made about a dozen of those metal exploding spheres that Susan used, each day.

In spite of that, his store started gaining some fame. Since Voice gave him the pelts free of charge, he sold the armor for only the cost of time. Even Voice’s female friend EDI would come by to drop off her pelts after a hunt. It seemed as though she was always with Voice’s pet Heather.

Heather and EDI had actually formed a close bond. They both wanted to get stronger, and they both wanted to hunt demon wolves. For EDI it was to help protect Rand and the animals around it; for Heather it was to eat wolf meat.

The two worked really well together. In the past days, they even saved Heather’s bunny tribe from eradication. The only hitch is when they fought high-level enemies. They would have to wait for a long while, so that their wounds would heal. It didn’t help when one of them would get a crippled effect. They would have to return to the city to get that fixed.

EDI’s in-game child-cycle was normal. She had been born into a family of warriors. She had trained with them, until she was of age. At that time, she set out for adventure. When she actually began to play, again she was in Rand. She helped more NPCs out, since there was no longer any wolves near Rand.

About a day after the end of her child-cycle, she noticed a man sitting at a fountain giving out free wolf pelts. As she approached the overly generous man, she saw his name. It was Voice again. Not only did he help NPCs, he also helped low-level players.

EDI felt only admiration towards him. Never had she heard about anyone as truly selfless as he was. He apparently even sent them to Evan who made them armor out of it. Truly Voice was someone worth befriending.

During the time before the players joined Elizabeth had set up a small restaurant. They bought the shop next door since the owners were going to move to another town. The shop wasn’t cheap, but that was because she bought it a full month before the owners were actually planning on move.

Elizabeth used the recipes Voice had given her to start the business up. She even used Voice’s idea for his cookware, after paying the money of course). She hadn’t won the cooking competition, but she came in third. She always came in third; however, with her new eatery she was going to master the cooking skill! She was going to make this the best place to eat in Rand!

During this Suzan continued making the bombs. She would make 12 a day. The same amount as the balls that Evan would give her. She also performed dozens of experiments. Most of them ended in abject failure, but a few had promising results. She would sell some of the bombs to keep a steady income. She didn’t mind not having a place to sleep, but she knew Voice adored her underground lab. This was actually a point over which she had a lot of pride.

Sol was healing people, and generally helping at the temple after Voice left. Sol loved to help, almost as much as talking. Sol was frantic when his Master suddenly disappeared. Sol looked around for many hours trying to find him. When that failed, Sol had decided to help at the temple. Since Sol was still in this realm it meant Voice was still somewhere.

//

Back to Voice.

You have more than one book in the series written by ‘Hermit Mirror’. Would you like to fuse them into a two volume book?

He didn’t really care about fusing them, but the extra inventory slot would be nice. He tapped yes.

He was on his way to Susan’s when he noticed the excessively large group at Evan’s forge. Evan was taking in the pelts, and making the armor right away. Wow, I guess everyone really wanted that armor. It’ll be good for Evan’s business though.

He noticed that the shop right next to Evan’s house was undergoing some renovations. That made Voice think of starting a shop himself. If I could get enough materials, I bet I could start a junk shop. Hm, I’m pretty sure that con-artist would even help me in that.

He walked to Susan’s, avoiding the large group of people. Unfortunately that also meant he couldn’t get close to the new shop. As he approached the door, he noticed Susan arguing with two men. His inspect started picking up some of the sounds.

He heard a gruff man. “ …n’t give us the recipe for these balls you might have an unfortunate accident.” Voice sighed. How many people does she manage to piss off? Soon even cultists are going to come for her.

Voice opened the door. Well, really he pushed the door open as hard as he could. He quickly glanced around the room. The two men standing in the shop looked like a bodyguard, and a merchant of some sort. Perhaps not a merchant, but some sort of wealthy individual. Seeing, as nothing important would be blown away, he activated his wind magic. Using his wind magic, he amplified his volume. He used Roar of Paralysis.

“ROAAAR!” The roar lasted only a second, but could even be heard over Evan’s blacksmith. The large group of people waiting for armor anxiously glanced that way, wondering what was happening. Voice used his Phoenix Fire.

Voice had already paralyzed the two men, but when they saw the man on fire stalk towards them the rich looking one started shaking in fear. Voice had an evil grin as he approached the two men. After only half of a second, the burly man regained his composure. As soon as he did, he ran towards Voice while brandishing his sword.

Voice gave the man a polite fist to the face; of course, he made his arm fast by applying a curving wind magic to his elbow. The man didn’t expect Voice to attack with such speed. Voice had landed a hit on the man with his flame-coated fist, his fist landing squarely on the man’s chin.

The man yelped as the fist connected. He was more surprised than hurt. He had lost only 60 hp. He still had 340 left. He gave a toothy grin to Voice. “Well then. Let’s see who the better fighter is really eh?”

Voice took a couple of steps backwards, making it so the brawl would be outside. The man followed. The man thought to himself, Does that whelp think that the outside will give him an advantage? HA

Once outside the two began to circle each other. Voice had deactivated his Phoenix Fire, and was the first one to take the initiative. He took out his staff and jabbed at the highest concentration of red lines on the man’s body. It was right above the man’s navel. The man deftly dodged, countering with a swing of his sword. Voice pushed himself away with a large gust of wind.

The man looked at Voice suspiciously. “Cheatin’ little mage!” He rushed Voice. As soon as he was within striking distance, Voice jabbed his staff at the man’s chest. The man knocked Voice’s staff aside with his sword. He rammed his shoulder into Voice’s chest.

Voice coughed as the man lifted him off the ground, and knocked him a few feet away. Voice noticed an icon blink in the upper corner of his sight. Ignoring it he threw the man into the air with a gust of wind worth half of his remaining mana.

Voice let a bark of laughter escape his lips. The man was flailing his arms and legs around as he quickly fell to the ground. Gathering all of his mana into his hand he calculated the exact amount of time it would take the man to fall in front of him.

Just as the man was level with Voice’s shoulders, Voice struck him with an open palm strike. He added all of his current mana into a concentrated gust of wind from his hand. He managed to hit the man perfectly on his shoulder. The man was thrown, hard. He spun for several feet before bouncing off the ground a few times, it seemed to the gawking audience that Voice was skipping stones.

Voice slowly walked towards the man. He tried to glide, but his magic suddenly stopped working. He just tried to look imposing while angrily walking to the man. Most of the players in the group around Evan recognized Voice.

They started whispering to each other. The consensus was that Voice was an NPC the developers created to help newbies, and to give out information. Some wondered if every starting town had someone like Voice; some simply shuddered at the violence Voice showed. He had thrown a man in the air using only a single spell. He then used a basic form of hand-to-hand combat, to send him spinning several yards away.

After a handful of moments, the man regained consciousness. His sword was about four feet away. He had held on to it during all of that horrid spinning, but let go as he hit his last bounce. Just as he managed to grab it, a foot came down on his hand.

Voice tried to crush the man’s hand. Of course, it didn’t work, but the man did wince at the pain. Voice smashed his staff down on the man’s forearm. He looked up at Voice. He was met by a malicious grin; one that sent shivers down his spine. Voice whispered his next words, so only the man could hear them.

“If you ever touch anyone in this town, and I do mean ever , I will personally make your life hell.” At that, he activated his Phoenix Fire one more time. He picked up the sword and put it into his inventory. “I will leave you with a warning this time.”

As he said this, a group of four guards came running into the area. Spotting the down man, and an ominous man coated in flames, the lead guard shouted. “What are you doing to this poor man!?”

The man grinned back at Voice. He had no qualms about lowering his pride to defeat those that humiliated him. “Please help! This man beat me! He even stole my only weapon! Please sir guards!” The guards, hearing the man on the ground, came rushing over.

As they did, Voice turned to face them letting his fire cloak die at the same time. He gave the guards a sad expression. “I’m sorry fellow worshipers of our most holy mother.” When they noticed who Voice was, they stopped their charge. The lead guard gave Voice a confused look.

“I stopped this man, and his associate ,” he said this word with derision, “from attacking a poor alchemist. Her name is Susan. They were threatening her over a type of weapon she had made. They even-“ he was holding back tears at this point. “They even said they were going to rape and kill her if she did not cooperate! They even tried to kill her in some sort of magical display! Just check her store if you don’t believe me. I found this on the man.” Voice showed them the sword, as well as the soul-binding contract he had gotten from Davros. “I am going to destroy this personally, so I want you to get some here who can verify if this is genuine or not.” He had adopted a more angry sounding tone while he said this. He even had put up an overwhelming aura of light around himself.

One of the guardsmen stepped forward. “I can sense magic, let me see that for a second.” Voice handed it to him. “That’s, that’s definitely genuine. I suggest you rid this world of it as soon as possible.” Voice nodded his head. He didn’t know what exactly the thing said, but it obviously didn’t incriminate Voice.

They picked the man up. He didn’t believe what he had heard. They had believed every lie this man told. Voice blamed him for the magic Voice had used in the alchemist’s shop, and even made up blatant lies about what he and his employer had done! He tried to speak to the guards, but Voice hit him on the back of his head with his staff. Just before he blacked out, he heard Voice say, “THIS is the warning. Next time I won’t be so nice.”

The crowd cheered as they saw the guards leading the bad man away. They didn’t know what he had done, but justice was served! (All of the people besides the five first players got to choose an Elder God or Goddess to serve under, and were put into a city under that deity.)

After finishing with the bodyguard Voice headed back into the shop, followed closely by one of the four guards. The other man that assaulted Susan was laying on the ground, with some sort of green liquid dripping out of his mouth.

Susan smiled at Voice, as he entered her shop. “Thank you so much! You’ve saved me again!” She ran up to him and gave him a warm hug. She could put up with people threatening her, it was nothing new; but every time Voice saved her, a warmth seeped into her heart. Only he was truly willing to sacrifice himself for her. He even fought a level 30!

Voice looked at the man. “What’s coming out of that man’s mouth?” Voice’s inspect ability only told him it was poison, not the type or intensity.

Susan smiled. “When his thug ran to stab you I managed to pour one of my paralysis potions in his mouth.” Voice nodded, impressed. He had basically figured her for an invalid in combat.

Seeing this she beamed. The guard went over to the man. “Uh-oh.” The guard said as he looked at the man. Voice figured he was some important man given that he would try to extort someone in broad daylight. Voice only knew one thing about man by looking at him. His alias was Maximus Brewer. Fucking stupid name.

The guard continued. “This is Maximus Brewer. He owns the single largest poison brewery south of Avalon! No one has heard of him leaving his city in many years!” The guard had a worried look. Voice asked. “What’s the problem? You’re not going to let him go just because he has power are you?” The guard shook his head vehemently.

“No, but jailing his would probably cause a war to break out with Brewcity.” Seriously, what’s up with this guy and his stupid naming sense?

“Alright, let me have a talk with him. I will make the problem go away.” The guard looked at Voice, and then gave a nod. He left to return to his post.

Voice heard a swish sound. Voice heard rapid pace sentences. “Master! Are you ok!? I felt you in danger! I couldn’t leave the temple. I’m so sorry! Do you need healing? Can I heal you? Where do you need healing?” Voice calmed Sol.

“Quiet, quiet Sol. I’m fine. I just needed to deal with something. Go back to the temple. I need to be alone right now.” Voice didn’t think Sol would like what he was going to do. Keeping a fairy against its will probably wasn’t easy. Voice took the man into Susan’s True Lab.

Finally! I get the chance to actually have a little fun. Voice gave a depraved smile as he took out a knife he got from Susan.
