My black bluish fur shone in the warm sunlight as I was lazing around on a flat roof, my tail moving in a relaxed satisfied motion while my clear blue eyes observed the hustle and bustle on the streets…
On the main street, stalls were lined up selling all kinds of goods. The colorful cloths shielding the vendors from the sun contrasted with the light beige and cream-colored stones that the city consisted of.
“That’s the life~” I thought while rolling on my back and stretching out all four limbs, letting the sun shine on my stomach, purring in the prosses.
I listened to the chatter of the townspeople going over their daily lives.
“Did you hear…?”
“I… and then…”
*Indistinct chatter*
The vendors shouted, advertising their wares,
“FISH! FRECHLY CATCHED FISH!”
“BEST CABBAGES OUT THERE! BUY NOW!”
“NEWEST JEWELRY!”
I rolled over again, got up, stretched my back, and looked at the ocean, its surface glistening in the sunlight.
“The view from here is really great.”
I could see ships in the distance coming and going from the port…
“But it’s already time…”
I jumped from roof to roof, swiftly descending onto the busy street, elegantly evading the people crossing my path,

Here and there, coming across people that weren’t human,
One with long pointy ears,
a few with different animal features, like gills or wolf ears,
another with red skin and horns.
They pretty much stood out among all the human-looking humans…
After a while I arrived at my destination, a quieter branch of the lively street.
A small cute looking restaurant embedded into the rows of stone, the sign hanging next to the entrance reading “Speisen”.
“AH! There you are! Right on time!” a muscle packed middle aged man opened full of vigor the door.
I looked at him with an expression of “you are too loud”, but I was used to it by now… the first couple times I almost got a heart attack…
The man made an exaggerated gesture to come in while holding the door open…
I leisurely walked in and jumped on my usual stool in front the counter.
Another man was standing behind it, “Were you roaming around again?” the man asked in a calmer quieter voice, the direct opposite of the other man…
“I always do.” I thought to myself, too unmotivated to reply.
“Anyway,” the man patted my head while speaking “Bruno made your favorite food.”
“I don’t have a favorite food, actually I don’t even need to eat, but his cooking just tastes too good…” I again thought to myself.
The muscle man came out of the kitchen behind the counter holding a plate “HEAR MY EXTRA SPACAL FOOD!” he exclaimed fervently full of pride.
A nice smell entered my nostrils as he put down the plate in front of me. As I unconsciously waged my tail staring at the food in excitement before digging in, the two of them observed me with a satisfied smile plastered on their faces…
“They really are cat lovers…” I thought while enjoying my meal.
After finishing, I jumped on the counter rolling into a ball of fluff and taking a nap…

Customers were coming and going, some patted me, not that I mind…
“You are as popular as usual.” The calm man said as he finished serving a customer.
I ignored him.
“How many years has it been since I met these two… five, six…?”
“Ah, whatever… my sense of time sucks…”
“Unsurprisingly…”
“I’m an immortal spirit after all…”
I moved my tail in a slow relaxed manner.
“Hmm…”
I thought back to the time when I first woke up in this world, I knew nothing back then except that I was once human, but even these memories were vague and unclear…
“Well, ever since I wandered around,
saw a lot of places…,
met a lot of people…
It’s really great, I don’t have to worry about anything~”
“I can laze around all day and night long~”
“It’s perfect!”
