Chapter 24.5 Snow, Snow not quite Everywhere!
The giant stared towards the exit, “Since when is it polite to eavesdrop on others conversations, Minerva?”
He let his blue eyes wander; a whirlwind half his size appeared, and out of it manifested an ethereal being floating in midair. “It has been a long time, Frosti.” A mystical melodic voice rang out.
“Why are you here?” The giant’s voice was irritated, displeased with her appearance.
“Do you still hold a grudge against me?”
“Hmph, state your business or scram!” his voice echoed.
Unaffected by the giant’s unwelcoming attitude, she spoke in a calming tone. “I am simply observing.” Her slight transparent body silently swirled as if to embody wind itself.
The ice giant frowned, “What are you up to?”
A smile crossed her lips; her eyes, her presence as a whole emanated calmness, letting everything around her feel at ease. “You sound as if I was scheming something terrible. You seem to misunderstand me still.”
Her gaze wandered to the direction Álfur and Nox had left, “I have seen everything I wanted, so if you would excuse me, my old friend.”
The giant, resisting the calming feeling that tried to permeate his body, responded coldly. “Don’t dare call me that!”
Unaffected by his harsh words, she slowly turned back into a whirlwind before completely vanishing.

“Nox, Álfur! Where were you!?” Fay flew around us excitedly. “Do you see, the snow stopped falling and it’s melting so fast!”
It seemed that she didn’t realize that we were gone for quite a while…
I looked around, the snow was indeed melting at an abnormal rate around the village, “Well it wasn’t normal snow in the first place.”
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
I observed the people who spellbound came outside and observed the cloudless sky.
“The snow stopped?”
“It never stopped this fast!”
“Do you think it’s finally over?”
“As if. It will surely start to snow yet again.”
The villagers chatted with each other, while Olaf left his house wondering about the commotion.
“Nox, is it fine if I tell him?” The elf looked at him.
“Do what you want, but be careful how much you want to reveal.” I hopped from his shoulder while Fay looked at us with question marks.
He nodded and walked towards the man, starting a conversation.
“Do you think the snow stopped for good?” Fay asked me curiously.
“Yeah, it won’t snow in this area at least.” I said in a slightly tired tone.
“Then!” She looked at me with sparkle in her eyes. “I can treat the trees, right?”
“Yeah, you can.”
“Yay!” She flew a few circles, “I’m off then!” and she flew away…
“Sigh… I need a nap…”
Then the next came to me, “Um, Nox.” The small fairy looked at me with her crystal eyes hesitating to speak up, behind her the children she played with.
“What is it?”
“Can I still make snow?” She tilted her head innocently.
“Sure, just don’t overdo it.” I said while already looking for a place to sleep.
Happy about my reply, she turned around and started to play with the children again, “Where do they get so much energy from…?”
I scratched my ear and then wandered in front of the house the elf went into not long ago. And let myself fall into a pile of snow that I created; I purred as I made myself cozy.
“Hmm, that’s the live~ Maybe I should sleep here for a few months…”
I slowly wagged my tail in satisfaction as I listened to my surroundings.
“So, a spirit caused the snow…”
I heard the conversation between the elf and the Beastman; seems like he told him about a spirit living near here and that the spirit did not know about the Beastman living in the vicinity, and as the elf told them, they stopped the snow around the village…
“Well, if he had told the truth, about a powerful ice spirit with a grudge that was ready to freeze them, being their neighbor, it would probably end up in a big commotion…”
I dug myself further into the snow, closing my eyes.
“Look!” I heard a villager shout astounded. “The trees, they are lush again!”
“Did you ever saw this kind of flower?”
I opened one of my eyes, seeing the people enjoying the spectacle that Fay fabricated…
All trees and their surroundings were in full bloom, and Fay happily flew around them…
Uncommented, I closed my eye again and fell asleep.
