Chapter 72 – A break from Orientation

Chapter 72 – A break from Orientation

[Hello everyone! Eric here, and I wished to inform you all that Harvey has been officially disqualified! He not only attacked a referee, but a NON-COMBATANT! They are meant to be PROTECTED by students – not attacked! Due to his actions: He will be suspended indefinitely until further notice. As for her odd strength…

…She’s my...AHEM: She’s my sister. She inherited err, Grandmother’s world-decimating blows and trust me – that old lady gave a mean spanking! Haha...ha.]

Random Student #1: “Wait – Wait – WAIT!! Who the fuck are you?! Am I supposed to KNOW who you are just because your name is Eric?! HUH??”

Random Student #2: “SHHH! Dummy! You don’t know who he is? He’s Principal LEYMAN’s grandson! He’s already a Junior...oh wait no. Our school goes up by numbers because ‘senior’ ends at 4…

He’s already in his THIRD year!”

Random Student #19: “Justice Heights just does Freshman 1, Freshman 2 etc...”

Random Student #: “Eric Leyman?

Ew. That sounds boring.”

Random Student #34: “I...I kinda like it.”

Random Student #15: “Did he JUST say King Harvey was EXPELLED??? For WHAT?”

Random Student #17: “He JUST said why! Pay attention!”

Random Student #46: “I fucking HEARD but that wasn’t good enough! All he did was reject the match call! She was a bad ref! You all SAW Harvey take Huroznik out in one punch!! OBVIOUSLY he was stronger, so he should have won!”

Random Student #47: “You forget that he MADE his own rules. First to knockdown wins. No doubt he said that due to the overwhelming challengers he was bound to face: maybe he wanted to conserve energy or something? Either way, he lost the same way as that Ryder fellow, and threw a temper tantrum afterwards. If he wanted to fight normally then don’t make such easy to beat rules!”

Random Student #48: “Who’s side are you on?! She’s a non-combatant!”

Random Student #47: “NEITHER! They’re both dangerous!”

Random Student #64: “Oh, so she’s the principal’s granddaughter. She’s safe then. He knows what he’s doing.”

Random Student #65: ”What…so, you’re going to disregard that ENTIRE spectacle she caused...because she’s related to the principal?? THAT girl is DANGEROUS! Long live the King! King Harvey is the best!”

Random Student #67: “Hahaha~ the principal’s daughter… It looks like Harvey hit a brick wall, didn’t he babe?”

Random Student #69: “Waaahh, but, but Harvey saved me! Why is everyone happy that the monster girl beat him up?! *Sniff* He’s a REAL Hero!”

Random Student #67: “…Babe... it sounds like you’ve met many heroes. I’ll take you to a dangerous spot attacked by villains one of these days, okay?”

Random Student #69: “Okay...thank you babe. You’re so thoughtful~”

Random Student #67: “Mhmhm, I know~”

Eric soon proceeded with an updated series of announcements. One of which was about the new change in schedule that was decided upon.

In 3 days time, the KING matches would occur. This also served to help both the remaining 9 Kings and all students that signed up to fight them gain a small break, to confirm that their capabilities, tactics and skills are fully prepared for the upcoming battle.

As for those who challenged Harvey?

.

.

...they were out of luck.

The Principal said that his suspension was staying in effect without any given timeframe, but that he would NOT be expelled. Since this is the very beginning of the semester the Principal fully understood everyone’s confused emotions – but this should be taken as a ‘warning’ should anybody feel like ‘imitating’ Harvey by acting on their emotions against the innocent. He ended his lecture by reminding everyone that his school is NOT a place that raises villains! Selflessness ALWAYS comes before selfishness, within the grounds of Hero High.

The Principal sent everybody back to their respective dorms or vehicles, but NOT before he revealed one last piece of surprising news.

Principal Leyman: “To everyone that challenged Harvey – Hehehehe~ I have something incredible in store for you all. Don’t feel like you’ve been cheated now that Harvey isn’t participating~

In fact, I would even dare to say each of you have a much GREATER opportunity to prove yourself in store!

I hope you prepare well~ Hehehehe~”

Random Student #27: "Huh? What did he say? Everyone has an ‘opportunity’ in store for them?”

Random Student #24: “Not FOR them like, they were being gifted something.

...Actually maybe it is…

The - The point is that Principal Leyman is going to offer everybody that chose to go up against Harvey, another opportunity to PROVE themselves…”

Random Student: #30: “Not just an opportunity, but a GREATER one, whatever that means.”

Random Student #54: “...It literally means to have a greater opportunity.”

Random Student #30: “Screw off, I’m not stupid! Tell me what EXACTLY this so-called ‘greater opportunity’ IS!”

Random Student #54: “You screw off, I don’t know! At’s all he said!”

Random Student #33: “Oooh~ I can’t WAIT to find out what it means 3 days from now~ Maybe they’ll bring in a ‘new King’!!”

Meanwhile, in the stands...A small group of powerless humans(and one weak human) began pondering over the course of events that transpired moments prior to the series of messages.

Wayne: “…”

Brennan: “…”

Li Shun: “…”

Alyandrea: “…..”

Leos: “Was...Was that the – the big girl who-who came with us today…?”

Alyandrea: “….Ye… Yeah. Those muscles, coupled together with that powerful overall physique. Her features are identical…

...except for one striking difference…

Ophelia shouldn’t be this strong!”

Yes.

There was only one feature about this seemingly – familiar referee that seemed off: her strength!

Brennan: “Poor Mr. Abrams, certainly, he’s going to get stressed over this. At least I’m not involved.”

Li Shun: “...That’s...so powerful… so cool! How did she get so strong?! Who trained her?? Can OTHER people be like her? Oh wait...she comes from Principal Leyman’s side of the family. That’s why…

Still! Why doesn’t she resemble her grandfather then? Did her parents carry much stronger genes or something? So many things I would like to know!! I HAVE to ask her some questions when I see her again!!”

Brennan: “IF you see her again and she doesn’t straight up leave the school instead. People were calling her derogatory things like ‘ugly’, ‘brainless’ and ‘monster’.”

Li Shun: “I didn’t hear them call her brai-”

Random Student # 3063: “That brainless referee HAD to get Harvey suspended – and to make matters WORSE: she became acquitted! How DARE they let that… that ugly bitch get off scott free! Where’s the justice in this world?! That fucking monster!!”

Li Shun: “...Forget it. I take my comment back…”

Alyandrea: “...Well, let’s try and meet up with Teacher Abrams. It would be a whole lot smarter than staying seated here in the stands.”

Wayne: “I beg to differ – I think we should wait EXACTLY where we are so that the teacher finds us easily! Tell me: if you were Mr. Abrams and had his strange teleporting ability – what would you rather have you’re students do: Take a journey ALL around this school in a vain bout to find you...or fail trying?

Or stay put so you could grab hold of them?? Personally speaking, I’d rather go with the latter.”

Alyandrea: “...The former. Because at least THEN my students made an actual effort instead of just sitting around like a couple of lazy-asses waiting to be rescued.

Besides, the teacher already told us how to get to his classroom before he left with Noel.

Oh, wait: but maybe we should look for Ophelia first. Wasn’t she supposed to be accompanied by both Aria and Ian?

...and where did that fa---Oliviera go...?”

Wayne: “...Maybe you should give up trying to become a hero and be a hero instead! The way you’re so calculating and keeping track of everybody’s movements...it’s a wonderful quality~”

Alyandrea: “Say that again and I’ll rip your fucking eyes out through your teeth!”

Wayne: “...I..I’m sorry for...complimenting you.”

Alyandrea: “Not that you idiot! I don’t mind teaching since I’ve always loved teaching the younger generation kick-boxing at Coach’s gym ‘Gold-! But, I will NEVER give up my dream of becoming a hero – I absolutely won’t!!”

Mr. Abrams: “What’s with all the shouting?”

Alyandrea screamed for just a moment: completely taken by surprise by her teacher. Especially since she adamantly planned on searching for him.

The other three however, were more fixated on the females – particularly the taller one, standing behind to him. And just like Noel, Mr Abrams at 6 feet was somewhat dwarfed by Ophelia’s height she had to bend down in order to hide behind the magician, even AFTER his hat added an extra 3 inches of height.

Wayne: “...H...H-Hi Teacher Abrams – H-H-Hi O-Ophelia! H-How are you doing...after that fi-umm...is it okay to call that a fight?”

Ophelia: “…My nose is feeling alright, thanks to Ms. Daisy.”

Ian: “That’s the name of the nurse who treated her.”

Wayne: “Oh – OH! That’s great news! I’m glad everything turned out okay!(Even though that wasn’t what I was asking! I wanted to know are you okay to be near us!)

Li Shun: “Hey, what’s it like being the granddaughter of the Princi-”

Mr. Abrams: *Yawns* Ask those sort of questions later. I’m tired, so let’s quickly gather the last four from my room and head on over to your new dorms.”

The moment Mr. Abrams laid eyes on his room, a settling of various emotions bore fruit in the pit of his stomach.

A long and wild-haired kid with a scar under his left eye was grabbing a short brown-eyed boy...who had his face turned the other way and both hands clasped tightly to each ear.

A white haired youth with a soft and kind countenance gazed at the two with his innocent eyes, and attempted to Convince one to ‘put down’ the other. A chubby girl sporting ruby red lipstick was busy shooting various selfies from all manner of poses – though there was ONE detail every one of them shared.

They were all taken beside a second white haired male with curly edges poking out of his hoodie appeared to be peacefully dreaming away, as if the chaos surrounding was, in fact, his own sweet lullaby. Nothing in the world mattered besides sleeping to this young man…

...Other than his father.

*BAM*

Rhys: “Aaah~ my head!”

Mr. Abrams: “Orientation’s over. Wake up and GO HOME.”

Rhys: “Fine, I got it~ Sheesh, as usual, you’ve got a snake biting your-”

Mr. Abrams: “NOW!”

Rhys: “O-Okay, fine. I will.”

*Vwishh*
