Harvey dropped all pretenses and rushed over, grabbing Noel by the collar and slamming his back against the wall high above the bed. This little shit… he was actually calling him weak! He ACTUALLY brought up the broken-no – the fractures- NO! The SCRAPES he got from that girl’s embarrassing sneak attack! He dared to do such a thing!
Harvey: “Listen up punk. That BITCH… she only got away with injuring me like that because I … I was caught off guard! I also didn’t know that she had super strength! Do you really think I’d be sent flying by anybody ELSE that has super strength??
I’m HARVEY! I’m the KING of muscles! When it comes to punching… nobody beats me! If it hadn’t been… if it hadn’t been for this bitch catching me off guard, I would NEVER have gone flying!”
Noel: “Pfft; are you crying for excuses now? Is it that embarrassing?”
Harvey felt something faintly snap deep within his mind. He took out his cast – covered fist and swung it with full force.
Harvey: “Shut … UP! You fucking bastard, I am NOT making excuses! I NEVER lost to that BITCH! She is a GIRL! There’s no WAY she can hit harder than a man! There’s no fucki...ng-?”
While screaming ‘shut up!’, his fist already lashed out at Noel. Luckily, Noel wasn’t the only person inside the room at this time. Rise easily caught his fist, without batting an eyelash. his following stream of words were further attempts at venting his anger. That was his goal, yet… he finally noticed his full – powered fist getting stopped so effortlessly – and even more than that, a strange, crushing grip originated where his fist had been directly halted.
Although… after the fist was stopped, the residual pressure it created tackled against the wall behind the two patients.
Rise: “Hehe. What’s this? Mr. King, are you planning on wounding another non -combatant? Did you forget what happened at the stadium? You struck first. YOU punched her first. And in response…”
Noel: “She crushed you. She broke the entire arena crushing you. Could you do that? I don’t think so. If I recall, the ‘full power’ of your punch didn’t even damage the surrounding arena walls. Haha, you even lost to that other guy’s punch at the start of the match! And it was to your own rules t-”
*BOOM!*
He angrily let off another punch, right after Rise was kind enough to let go of the muscle King’s wrist. Once more, Harvey had his fist blocked: but this time, it had its momentum halted by rise’s extended palm acting as an impossibly unmovable line of defense for that strike.
Rise stopped Harvey’s fist with his palm.
Harvey: “Shut… THE FUCK UP!! I … DID… NOT LOSE! The two of them… snuck a punch on me! Nothing more! Or did you bastards forget that I one – shot him?!”
Rise: “Did… Did you just call me a… a ‘bastard’…? He… Heheh… Hahaha! Do you want me to kill you, you insignificant cannon fodder?!”
To reiterate his point, his eyes locked onto Harvey’s, and stared deeply into them. Feelings of death, danger and fear, bubbled up from the depths of Harvey’s consciousness. For some strange reason, as Rise let off a strong and intent – filled, murderous glare, Harvey unknowingly started to feel like prey at the fore and mercy of his territory’s greatest predator.
He couldn’t help but shrink back a couple of steps in sheer intimidation. After realizing what he’d just done, he grew even more brazen. He blatantly charged! He was planning to teach these two fools not to look down on him – a sponsored King, chosen by Hero Society itself!
?: “What are you doing?! Are you asking for punishment?”
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
*BOOM!*
?: “Hmph! Harvey… your an embarrassment to your title. As one of the Ten Kings, you’re supposed to distinguish yourself from everyone our age. You’re SUPPOSED to be a top student, Harvey. What happened?”
One was dressed in a light golden dress that fitted to her figure. Her earrings were shaped like Ankhs with a deep blue eyeball inside of the Egyptian symbol’s ‘loop’.
Her hand extended outward, and following such movements a blinding, golden light formed a wall around Noel and Rise – protecting them from the bully – king’s wrath. This move also forced Harvey to let go of Noel’s shirt collar, allowing him to slide all the way back down onto his bed.
Next to her was a boy dressed in a casual tee shirt and hoodie combo. Around his neck was an obsidian necklace with a beautiful jackal – shaped centerpiece. Unlike the obsidian chain, it continuously changed color in the light.
His casual attire portrayed his desire to take today off as a ‘lazy day’ of sorts.
...But beneath his black hair, his sharp, piercing green eyed gaze told Harvey otherwise. Despite his ‘slack’ body language and attire, Luxor Al Amin is fully focused on Harvey’s actions at this point in time.
Harvey saw these new tan - skinned guests appear at the doorway and knew his chance had been wasted. Having been cut off from Noel and Rise, he had no other choice except to make a swift retreat. But before he could make it out the door, right after passing by Luxor Al Amin and his ‘companion’, an exchange of words filled everyone’s ears.
Harvey: “If not for you Luxor Al Amin, I would have taught those two worthless punks about the dangers of attending school with kids that don’t have control over their superpowers. Be thankful.”
Luxor Al Amin: “…You really are useless trash, aren’t you? Is it something to be proud of, when you bully the weak? IS it fun for you? What kind of ‘King’ takes pleasure abusing those innocent civilians they’re supposed to protect?”
?: “Harvey, you bring shame to the same title my lord shares! Despicable!!”
Luxor Al Amin: “Thank you, Wea. Harvey, A ‘King’ should treat their subjects kindly, lest they face a revolution. Without ‘subjects’ a King would not exist. These students, no matter how nauseating or disrespectful you find them, no matter whether or not you fear for their safety at school – the very moment you attacked them, you made your thoughts clear. You don’t deserve to be a hero. Your mindset is clearly aligned with a villain’s!”
Harvey: “…Tell that to Mr. Anti-Disaster, if you have the guts! I learned all there is to know of a hero’s hidden side from him. In reality… hmph.”
Wea: “Should I report him, young lord?”
Luxor Al Amin: “No, leave him. We can take care of that later. He’s only attending school right now to fight against the other students who tried to challenge him. That fool, no matter what he does, with this mindset he won’t get very far.”
Wea: “Yes, my Pharaoh!”
Noel: “…Whispers: Hey. Rise. Who are they? He looks important.”
Rise: “…Whispers: I think he’s a ’King’ because that girl over there mentioned he shares the same title with that swelled - up buffoon.”
Wea: “How are you two feeling? Did that guy do anything dangerous to either of you two? Hold on actually, don’t answer that. I will be right back. It should only take two minutes to find a nurse.”
Noel: “Ah, no – no. We’re okay, both of us are alright, I think. Luckily, the two of you came to save us on time. Thank you for that.”
Rise: “Your smile seems fake.”
{…This stupid freak of nature…!}
Noel: “Heh, well… At least I know how to smile.”
Rise: “(This spineless shortie! If I hadn’t intervened that punk would have pounded your face in! You didn’t even bother trying to dodge! Yet, instead of a thank you, he has the gall to snap back at me! Ungrateful little…)
… Haah. Forget it. I don’t argue with children.”
Luxor Al Amin: “It’s a good thing that you guys are alright. I read in the chatroom with the other 5 ‘Kings’ not counting Harvey, that you probably lost your memory? Protecting your fellow weak students… some see that sort of act as sheer stupidity – I believe what you two did was admirable. I’ll see if I can have my family speak to the teachers and get permission to build a shrine of worship somewhere in that forest. If you go there, so long as you are devoted and make an offering of sorts, like wine and Cypress or a valued meal, then you can at least seek shelter from future danger. It’ll take some time to build and set up the proper rituals, but your safety takes precedence. I think Valkyrie was going to… no, forget it. I won’t speak of matters that don’t concern me. I’m leaving now, take care.”
Wea: “Farewell, powerless heroes.”
Rise: “*Sniff – Sniff*
Wait!”
The two Egyptian Herotopians were just about to leave through the only patient’s bedroom entrance when Rise’s voice suddenly made them stop in their tracks.
…
Luxor Al Amin: “Yes? What is it?”
Rise: “*Sniff – Sniff – Sniff*
…I smell danger on you.”
Wea: “…”
Luxor Al Amin: “…What…?”
Rise: “You’re about to fight...but there’s danger lurking in this ‘match’ of yours. *Sniff* Not the first one, but… the last match. *Sniff – Sniff* Yeah. Somebody will interfere in the match, they plan on hurting you and this will cause your loss. I suggest you be careful.”
