Chapter 42 – School Assembly Part 8

Chapter 42 – School Assembly Part 8

Noel: "...Why did our teacher just teleport away?"

Ian: "I dunno. Maybe he picked up another lost kid. Anyways, we should probably just wait right -"

Rise: "Move. You're blocking my way."

Ms. Ivory: "Young man! Is that any way to address a FELLOW CLASSMATE? As your future instructor, I advise you to behave yourself henceforth!"

Rise: "'Henceforth'?...Pffft! Lady this isn't the medieval Era. And all I said was for 'em to move. Is there a reason for me to apologize for that?"

Ms. Ivory: "Yes, actually. There are many reasons why stating a simple'move' can be seen as punishable by way of forcing an apology.

Your tone. This was far to aggressive for acceptable standards.

Your lack of manners. As in the case of number one: Had you requested their group to please move with a soft, GENTLER tone, I wouldn't be permitted to say anything.

Your lack of politeness. You CLEARLY saw those children were holding a conversation among themselves, yet you just barged right into it, WITHOUT EVEN SAYING EXCUSE ME! Using proper politeness when addressing fellow schoolmates is not only a healthy way to breed friendly conversations and possibly cultivate some 'chums', but it avoids potential confrontations by treating them as your 'equals' rather than a couple of nuisances who happen to just be in the way.

..Need I go on?"

Rise: "Bah, nonsense. All of it. Who cares if their 'feelings' get hurt? That should toughen them up a lit-ow!"

Ms. Ivory: "NEED I GO ON??!"

Rise: "No..."

Aria: "May...May I ask who you two are?"

A short statured woman with light brown hair and smooth, white skin lectures a peach toned boy with wild and long, dark-brown hair resting upon his back. Both strangers appear to be heading straight in their direction.

Rise: "...Rise."

{Hmph! this guy, he doesn't even bother hiding his anger. Is he really a non-combatant by choice? Or maybe he got in trouble with her?

Trouble...Fragment, where are you...? I haven't heard from you since that mission with Angelica...

are you still inside me?}

.

.

.

Ms. Ivory: "You may refer to me as Ms. Ivory if you'd like, however I would prefer it if you could address me by my title Professor Ivory Philips.

However I too, have a question of my own to ask. Answer properly: Why are the five of you all gathered by the Hero Assembly's back entrance, yet refusing to enter? Are you, perhaps, not from the non-combatant division?"

Ian: "W-We are! It's just, our teacher told us he'd take us inside the building to greet the others that came early, but then he suddenly disappeared!"

Ms. Ivory: "Who is your teacher?"

Brennan: "Mr. Abrams."

Ms. Ivory: "Then you needn't worry. Although I have yet to earn the privilege of meeting him, I have been warned...er, told, he has a unique teleportation ability. There won't be any trouble with him 'vanishing' once in a while. In the meantime, I shall oversee you all in greeting your future classmates."

Aria: "Oh! Wait one moment ma'am. Ophelia! Now's your chance to ask!"

Ophelia: "...Ask what?"

Aria: "The seating arrangement dummy! You know, give her your name so she can contact the other teachers in charge of both the Hero and Sidekick divisions. That way, you can find out where your real class is seat-"

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

Ophelia: "...I don't get what you're saying. I am a student under the non-combatants division."

Aria: "...ha.. hahahaha~ Oh Ophelia, you ALMOST got me again! I won't fall for it this time!

.

.

.

Hahaha!"

Ophelia: "..."

Aria: "..Haha...hahaha.."

Ophelia: "..."

Aria: "Haha......ha...."

Ophelia: "I'm not joking."

Aria: ".........huh? I thought...weren't you his bodyguard..?"

Ophelia: "You shouldn't jump to conclusions so much. That's a bad habit to have."

Aria: "...I'm sorry, forget I said anything please..."

Ms. Ivory: "If you're done then let's go inside."

...

Victoria: "Get – Get the hell AWAY from me!!"

Upon entering the hall, the first thing Noel's gang take notice of is a blonde girl with a feisty attitude being held in the air by an abnormally giant, see-though bunny with only the energy beast's outline being partially visible.

Standing in front of all three classes, now gathered together in one corner, happens to be their missing teacher, Mr. Abrams.

Mr. Abrams: "Hmmmm, I see. Based on your fire's ignition rate and degree of intensity, I'd assume you're 'S' Grade, maybe A grade that's been modified, somehow..."

Victoria: "MY FATHER MODIFIED IT, NOW LET ME... GO!!"

Ms. Ivory: "Oh my... what is going on here?!"

Searing scorch marks adorn the hall and a gaping hole replaced the now knocked over front entrance doors.

Mr. Abrams: "How should I know. I was leading my class here when I caught the principal sleeping outside. I activated my powers to look inside the building and check on my class, only to find the front door lying on the floor, its hinges melted and a hole where it once stood. If I had to assume, I'd say that a certain SOMEONE neglected his duties and allowed a little girl to break in."

Ms. Ivory: "I fail to see how this child can possibly break the front door of our school's protected shelter so easily...but for now let me take her. In fact: I'll go ahead and call the principal right now."

Principal: "No need, I'm right behind you. But thank you anyways for the consideration!"

Mr. Abrams: "Geezer! Look at the hellish mess your actions have caused – look at what you've done! How could you let a rat... slip in so carelessly – no... how could you sleep while on duty and have the gall to point it out whenever I do it?!

Principal: "Honestly, I don't remember sleeping...! Ahahaha."

His lackadaisical response while scratching the back of his head nearly drove the lord of laziness himself insane. If something happened to those students... both of them would be held accountable! Ms. Ivory, however, was slightly calmer while approaching this unbelievable scene.

Ms. Ivory: "Professor Abrams – From what I've learned of this school's Principal, this entire ordeal seems... somewhat-"

Mr. Abrams: "Out – of – Character? It isn't 'somewhat', it's ENTIRELY out of character. To fall asleep while on the job... and for a child to be capable of destroying the shelter's front door that normally can withstand thousands upon thousands of attacks like this.. I don't want to assume things but, she might've had help."

Ms. Ivory: "Are you suggesting...?! But-But that's impossible! The Principal, he-"

Mr. Abrams: "I know who the principal is, Professor Ivory. However, how do YOU explain this situation? Somehow, a child like her with meager flames can burn a hole in an anti-magically protected barrier. Not to mention the force from her explosions even sent the thing flying. It should be shock resistant, so why? And the Principal happens to fall asleep in tandem with her-"

Victoria: "Umm, if you to are going to discuss conspiracy theories alone, could you put me down first?"

Mr. Abrams: "...No."

Ms. Ivory: "...You have some questions to answer, missy."

Victoria: "Wha- WHAT?! NOOOOOOOOO... WAYNE! Wayne, remember the promise...! Reemembeeerrr...."

With a furious flurry of steps, both the Principal and Ms. Ivory stormed off alongside the giant bunny through the hole, and outside, towards an unknown direction. The five who'd just arrived and Rise that came along with Ms. Ivory, were all very bewildered at this particular moment. The three classes from the non-combatants division, though, were all breathing serious sighs of relief.

Wayne: "...Haah, thank Gods above that she's gone."

Oliviera: "Hey. You said your name was Wayne, right? Why did she come here?"

Wayne: "Hm? Me? Umm, I don't think I'm at liberty to discuss her private matters..."

Oliviera: "NONSENSE THAT BITCH CALLED ME A PIGGY I'MA CLEAN HER CLOCKS."

Alyandrea: "The very moment she picked a fight with all of us was the moment that girl made your little conversation ALL of our business. She endangered our lives for this stupid talk now FESS UP!"

Wayne: "I... I don't think that's how it works..."

Without another word, Mr. Abrams teleported in front of Wayne, took off his top-hat and 'peered straight into Wayne's eyes. His own pupils shone brightly for but a second before dulling, and finally reverting back to normal.

Mr. Abrams: "Relax. The Principal and Professor Ivory will squeeze that sort of info outta her. For now, just take solace in knowing that the girl didn't come here for you all."

Some of the students, especially those two that felt threatened the most, Alyandrea and Oliviera, were left feeling somewhat indignant.

Unfortunately, all of them had no choice but to endure it. at the behest of Mr. Abrams, all three were brought back to their respective class groupings while they all awaited the return of the final two homeroom teachers.

Mr. Abrams: "Now listen up, everyone! I want you all to each introduce yourselves to one another the SAME exact way you'll be introducing yourselves on that stage! Line up, and let this exercise become practice for the real thing. Plus it saves me the trouble of introducing you all later."

Ian: "B-But Mr. Abrams, I have to say that introducing ourselves NOW would be entirely a waste! Shouldn't we wait a little bit until the other two kids the Principal told you about get here, instead of having to do our introductions THREE TIMES in one day?"

Mr. Abrams: "Nope. Tough luck for them for being this late. You all are starting your introductions now, and THEN once they get here, they will quickly introduce themselves to you before making it out there. Besides, they'll hear it for themselves when you all introduce yourselves on stage. Now... who's first?"
