Dome: “Winner! Due to Tetra’s early forfeit, the overall winner of this round’s KING matches between Tetra Terror and Luxor Al Amin… is Luxor!”
On the field, the battle had effectively ended and its undisputed winner was clearly decided the very moment Tetra called out in despair.
Although not many people heard him. At the very least, Dome did. And that was all there was, on that matter. Nobody dares to disobey Dome’s decision the same way Harvey did towards Ophelia. Not only would it end in a one-sided beating; but the principal would take Dome’s side on it. He is the most unbiased, straight-forward referee ever encountered. At least, his professional judgment has never been wrong before in his 30+ years at the school.
IF he says that Tetra lost, then undoubtedly, Tetra had indeed lost. Students were only particularly about the cause of his loss.
...Why did he forfeit when Tetra had already beaten Luxor twice? Couldn’t he have just tried a little bit harder considering he was already at match point?
Random crowd student #16: “Wait… it’s over? THAT FAST?! Why?? What happened? Did the guy who’d been doing nothing except for eat dirt during the first two matches suddenly scare him into submission? HIM?? Tetra Terror?? The sole King who can give even many unsuspecting HEROES a couple of living nightmares?? Are you KIDDING me?!”
Random crowd student #17: “That’s not the real problem. Everyone who actually pays attention to Luxor Al Amin and Tetra know that the former is absolutely protected against Tetra’s ability. Therefore, the REAL, genuine inquiry I, and countless others, would love an answer to, is actually-”
Random crowd student #18: “HOW DID TETRA WIN TWO TIMES IN THE FIRST PLACE?!”
…
Random crowd student #39: “I for one, can accept Tetra losing. Even though I’m not a fan of the painting prodigy, I hate that creepy kid with the evil powers. Bringing nightmares upon others… that sort of super power practically screams super – villain! I’d much rather know about how the heck That Pharaoh kid, Luxor pulled off such a big move. I even heard creaking sounds inside of my friggin head! I swear it! That was a real crazy experience, man… seriously crazy.”

The questions and concerns stirred endlessly.
Though, Luxor didn’t care about any of these things. The God that descended on Luxor’s body began to leave him, taking most of his strength with it. He was desperately trying to maintain his stability and remain conscious. He wanted to know who dared to pull that stunt earlier – attacking him with such an insidious action! And the greatest way to do that… obviously was to catch and interrogate Tetra! But…
... he could barely move. If not thanks to his strong willpower and slightly rebellious personality, then he may very well have already collapsed on the heavy, metal floor, unable to even cast a glance over at Tetra’s quivering, red-eyed body. So instead, He met that despairing gaze and delivered a warning.
Luxor Al Amin: “You… I’ll deal with you… later. By then, you better be ready… to fess up. I want answers on everyone who worked with you… just now
*Cough – Cough*
…
And also… *Cough* Hah… hah… hah… you coward. Don’t even think about hiding or running away. I… will always find you… And if not me...then my ...family...will leave no stone … unturned. Remember my… warning, Tetra! I won’t… tolerate any more… betrayals from … from *Cough* …you.”
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Tetra: “Does… *Sniff* does this mean you’ve forgiven me…? It was really out of my control, you know. I didn’t really mean to--!”
Luxor Al Amin: “You’ve … been Spared NOT forgiven. Know the difference. I’ve warned you. You better not… disappoint me.”
Tetra Terror: “I… Haaah. I understand. *Sniff* I promise that I will wait patiently. Get well soo-”
Luxor Al Amin: “Bah! Keep your false pleasantries. Wea! High Priestess, we’re… leaving.”
Wea: “…Yes, my Pharaoh! Grandmother, please help him.”
High Priestess Ishzaa: “Hmm.
(Where did that old witch move off to? Well, regardless, it isn’t my concern. Anubis has judged her. She shouldn’t be brave- or dumb, enough to try that sort of thing with us again. Next time, she may receive more than a slap on the wrist such as the one she received today. Besides, from what I can gather, security has already begun investigating near that place…)
Wea, walk next to him. Let him lean against your shoulder, don’t make it so obvious that he’s about ready to keel over. We still have our organization’s image to uphold.”
Wea: “...Alright grandmother- I mean High Priestess!”
For a while, there was complete silence originating from the school arena’s commentator’s booth. Security came over, and they immediately searched for clues and traces of the people that stayed here, such as Miles, the commentator they JUST hired after Eric suddenly quit the broadcasting club that he himself headed, before vanishing outright.
Security guard #1: “Strange… that’s two missing commentators now. And this one was just here a second ago. What in the heck is going on…?”
Security guard #2: “I dunno man. Shit’s pretty freaky if you ask me. Maybe there’s some sort of… weird kidnapping going on under our noses. Heheheh.”
Security guard #1: “You think… Nah. Heheh. Kidnappings? in this school? With so many guards and heroes to watch over the future world saviors and Herotopian Heroes? Fat chance! Heheh~”
Blair: “Less GOSSIPING and more SEARCHING! On the double! You brainless dolts!”
Security guards #1 & 2: “Yes ma’am!”
Blair: “… Kidnappings, huh? I wonder...”

Despite the energy fluctuations coming from inside the commentator booth that triggered an official mobilization of the Stadium’s security, the missing announcer and the notification from Ishzaa to the new Security Head, Blair, regarding the malicious attack on Luxor Al Amin made by Aleatha Eseria. A brief report was made, before both parties left. Blair promised to investigate matters properly, but also warned Ishzaa about making false accusations towards the board of trustees, just in case this was a personal grudge match between the two that held no valuable semblance of truth within it.
Ishzaa righteously snapped at Blair to perform her job better next time, so that her group’s ‘young Pharaoh’ doesn’t have his life threatened while directly under security’s noses. She further pointed out that Tetra has no superpowers that can make Luxor bleed without visibly falling upon his body in front of every onlooker available. And also, that her big intervention revealed Aleatha’s energy string attack right before dissipating it. Anyone with a sensory type of capability or sensitivity towards energy should have immediately picked up on the two differing energies clashing against each other, that belonged to neither participant present and at the center of the arena.
Without waiting for a response, she walked back to the nursing station where Luxor was waiting within, kicked the nurse out, and personally took it upon herself to heal him back to his previous state - full of energy and vigor.
A replacement commentator was found among the broadcasting students in the crowd, and the KING matches continued on.
Kings fought against Kings… For 5 matches, or four if one side dealt with their opponent fairly well. The truth, though, is that none of these KING matches delivered a 3:0 win to the Stadium Dome audience. The quichest time was only 3:1, and that only happened to one of the matches present. The rest all maintained a 3:2 rating.
Finally, the special King Candidates were granted a single chance to show off their skills agianst powerful and chosen opponents.
Nilia was up first.
And opposite from her, was a freshman student recruited from North America, named ‘Gabby’. The girl’s original name had been changed right before her transfer, but her powers were largely unknown to everyone. It’s just…
Two peculiar senior students were busy screaming from the audience stands for her in support. A brunnete girl named Mickaela; and a dark blond haired boy going by Rafael.
Each of them wore similar winged bracelets to hers – it was very clear toi Nilia at least, that these three were a group.
Gabby: “Phew. Hi, I am very honored to make your acquaintance, Nilia! The name’s Gabby! Are you ready for a fun match?!”
Nilia: “...Hi. Likewise. I am prepared...to have fun, and to win.”
Gabby: “Well~ I Don’t know about that last part, but… hehe.”
*FWOOSH!*
Magnificent, pearly-white wings spread out from directly behind her back. They appeared faintly ethereal and made out of energy, but at the same time, the detail to every feather on it made the wings appear extremely life-like.
It was very hard to differentiate whether it was a genuine pair of wings, or one made out of pure, white energy.
A halo appeared overhead, and a powerful blade within its scabbard appeared in between both smooth arms, clutched by the freshman’s hands that seemed to be sorely calloused due to her weapons training.
Nilia clutched the bladeless hilt in her right palm. She knew this was going to be a difficult fight the very moment a mages tic holy aura poured out from her in waves.
The Archangel Gabriel, has granted Gabby their support for this match!
