Mr. Reeds: “Okay. Yeah, I will deliver your message to them. No Worries. Bye.
*BEEP!*
Haah. Alright everybody. Go back to studying. the situation is already taken care of.”
Alyandrea: “Sooo, where is Noel? did he really run away like I thought? Or was Ophelia right and his temperament turned out to be better than I gave him credit for?”
Ophelia: “I told you, he isn’t that weak. Maybe he’s a curious person, but he doesn’t have a weak will!
(After all, he’s the one that saved me from myself back then. Over and over again, he told me I could be a hero… I don’t see him being weak willed at all. Not after what he said when we first met)”
Alyandrea: “I heard you, I’m just saying I have a hard time believing it, that’s all. I barely know the guy but he’s still considered a middle schooler in my eyes. Despite grade skipping. And how many Seventh graders do you know can survive a horrifying villain assault will a life threatening wound, and THEN after waking up, meet face to face with a rampaging rock monster – gargoyle thing, yet nonchalantly wake up the following morning as if nothing happened? I genuinely doubt he’s ‘okay’. In fact, NONE of us should be ‘okay’ after all of this stuff!
*Bang!*
If you ARE ‘okay’ then that goes to say, that something about you actually wasn’t ‘okay’ from the beginning!”
Everyone’s blood rand cold at her words. It was a hidden truth they hadn’t thought about – or rather, they desperately avoided the truth for as much as possible and refused to even remotely think about it.
After all, who wanted to admit they were indeed, broken like a piece of clay? the incident did affect them all in various ways, some resolved themselves to bury such feelings, thoughts and everything related to the matter, and try moving along with their lives. They were easily recognizable too.
Aria was one of them… sorta. She was often in an unknown daze now and nobody knew what she was thinking about, but Alyandrea knew that Aria was trying hard to avoid the matter of that day. the matter of why… and more importantly how they all revived. Trying hard to avoid the topic. For now, it didn’t look like the situation affected her all that much, but Aly could see how much more effort Oliv poured into her blog ‘Oliv-Yayy’. the girl was most certainly going overboard with it and the reason for that probably stemmed from her aversion to remember the truth.
Probably.
Ian looked like he didn’t want to think about the matter, let alone talk about it. for the last three days, he completely avoided anybody that brought it up near him.
But today morning, Alyandrea accidentally overheard Ian and Ophelia talking about the moment of his death. his voice was shaking as he spoke, but there was an obviously clear determination in his right eye that she couldn’t forget as easily. And Ophelia… she was a bundle of stress from back at the Dome arena where she almost killed Harvey accidentally! Following that with a villain invasion was a bit too tragic for her. She also didn’t want to think about the attack.

So why did those two change their minds…?
Even though a few of their class didn’t wish to focus on the matter; Others did. In fact, some Class 3-C members didn’t mind it! They bragged like Li Shun, where he continuously fabricated brief heroic elements of his story to cover up the lucky moments he experienced in his forced confrontation to impress some of the other Class A or B students, laughed it off as Ronald did, as Saphy, Cass and Frieda did or as Rise did… while briefly mentioning their disgust and contempt for the villains… or brushing off the aftermath like it was nothing.
And then there were students like herself. This unique and slightly unpopular group of students wanted nothing more than to adamantly and wholeheartedly solve this matter and bring justice to the crooks that they heard, got away from security in the last minute. They wanted to know if anybody was responsible for leading the criminals inside of the school through a kind of ‘back door’ and if so, why? Who are they and is there any way to avoid them while alerting Hero Society? Such fantastical thoughts were looked upon unfavorably by the rest of the non – combatants, largely because even if they some how, someway magically DID uncover the truth… so what? What of it? They were each individually and collectively, far too weak to survive against a single super powered mercenary let alone surviving against the villainous orchestrator – if there is any such group or individual. The students in this group were few, but their drive for solving the crime and leadership skills when it comes to how they should handle the next murder-driven invasion is definitely large enough to warrant envy from their classmates. They’re much more united than the other two little ‘factions’ who largely avoid talking about the details from that ‘day’ and rarely began gossiping about the giant gargoyle that destroyed some parts of the giant grove in their school, earlier this morning.
Such a group was filled with students with various independent and/or leadership qualities, like Elijah, Like Fana , Like Reggie, Like Eren, like Alyandrea herself, and like Wayne. About 12 others from the 1 – A and 2 – B Classes were also partially invested into this group, while also restraining themselves to move on and ‘fix’ their life going forward, so that ‘the past remains in the past and never again resurfaces’.
But Alyandrea couldn’t for the life of her figure out three of her own classmates because they were just far too quiet about the matter. Leos, Noel and Brennan.
Yet, even if she knew nothing about them or their state of mind, she knew dangerously well that such a big situation like the one they all endured HAD to have affected evryone in Class 3 – C, since they personally LIVED through it! The other classes harboring varying uncaring degrees of care was understandable to an extent. The school schedule was really full and they didn’t have time to chase after a memory that has already begun to fade, after all. But for those who were personally faced with death’s invitation…
For those that really, genuinely died that day, this memory became both a trauma, and a scar that could never heal in a mere week’s worth of passing time. Noel, he had to have been suffering the most since he was directly involved with TWO attacks! Psychologically, it didn’t make sense for him to be fine! He’s just a normal kid who has a bad temper! He was probably silent because he kept brooding over the matter constantly!
...Or something.
These were the things running through Alyandrea’s head, and this was the very reason why she kept insisting that something was terribly wrong with him. If one recalls Noel’s strange reaction at the nurse’s patient’s quarters, then it’s very easy to conclude he is hiding his real emotions.
But like Wayne, just because she believed in something, doesn’t mean she DESIRES it to true! Alyandrea really does hope she is wrong and that Noel is alright!
The other class members of 3 – C stayed quiet at this truth. Sure enough, every one of them, regardless of what they said or how they seemed to feel, was deep down, genuinely and terribly affected from experiencing their deaths. Even Rise had to realize that moving from Villain Haven to Herotopia didn’t mean that all of his and his mother’s problems went away just like that. Herotopia was just as dangerous in the sense that they couldn’t find a way to save themselves from 24/7 constant group invasions or individual attacks. The Hero side could only be seen as a vain, yet desperate struggle. Even Mr. Reeds was affected by her sudden and abrupt outburst for a moment, although the teachers already figured this lone fact out after the invasion was resolved.
Mr. Reeds: “AHEM! Well now, that is an interesting point that you’ve brought up, but I would like you all to remember one thing, there is nothing ‘wrong’ with somebody that adapts faster than you. Make sure you mind your words, now. some people, such as Leos for example, have suffered harshly before. Although they may still be affected, it might not be as traumatic to them as it was to you, since they experienced something much harsher. Conversely, their experiences might stack onto one another and make their burden that much worse so it really does depend, but that is even MORE of a reason to be cau8tious with how you speak.
Sorry for singling you out Leos. I’m not belittling your emotions either, mind you. It was just an example. A ‘what if’ you could say. How Leos really feels, I have no clue – Hohoho!”
Class 3 – C: “…”
