Fighting ensued. Noel asked her to escape with Leos.
Why didn’t he go with her? She couldn’t tell. Although she suspected it was because of the villain, maybe he wanted to stop it from tailing them?
Heroes tend to do that with the civilians they’re protecting.
During her escape, she encountered a man...and foolishly shouted at him, despite how freaky he seemed for being in the middle of a forest during an attack. Leos prevented her from shouting his whole name, however, it was already too late.
*Crrrack*
The world went black for her. She vaguely heard a man’s voice speak over a horrifying ripping sound.
One: “Sorry, son. Under normal circumstances, I would probably never kill you. I’ve always hated jobs involving kids because it’s too easy to fail the mission with such an annoyingly fragile factor involved.”
Oliviera: “(No…I don’t … please don’t kill me. Please… I…)”
Mr. Abrams: “...(Oliviera. You lied to everyone, didn’t you? You knew exactly what happened. You were trying to remain positive for their sake, huh? Damn these kids. Had I not read her mind, I’d never have known this side to her. You really are mysterious, aren’t you?)”
Oliviera: “(...I don’t want to die…
.
.
.
Daddy … please don’t let them kill me, please…!)”
Her thoughts echoed in his mental energy-formed ears – her tears fell down from his borrowed pupils, though neither he nor she could see them. He was seeing everything she was, and experiencing the same dark vision plaguing Oliviera right now.
And that watery sensation running down her cheek, was the very last thing she remembered.
…
Once more, everything returned to as it was. Her clouded eyes regained their luster when she saw Mr. Abrams stick out his right hand.
Oliviera: “...Mmh … ooh my head feels… AAH! Teacher invaded my privacy you privacy invader, you privacy invader, you privacy invader! How DARE you do some magic thingie on me without my permission! E-Erase your memory, each and EVERY one of my memories that you UNLAWFULLY peeked at!”
Mr. Abrams: “*Ignores* Oliviera, I want your phones. Now. ALL of them.”
Oliviera: “Wha---YOU MO- YO- … YOU MONSTER!! NO! NO, NO - NO!!! Are you trying to kill me?! AGAIN?? Absolutely NOT!!! How do you EXPECT me to call my daddy later on, right after my check up?? Know that if he calls and I don’t answer, then this entire school will be in HUGE trouble- NO! ‘huge’ isn’t large enough to describe it. MEGA, ULTRA, SUPER-DUPER HUGE trouble!!!”
*Bonk*
Oliviera: “Ah~”
*Plop*

Abrams: “If you wanted to speak with your father, then you should have done so by now. Especially while Ophelia was being examined. Sleep well, kid. Wake up refreshed tomorrow morning.
...Ms. Daisy. I need you to run over to the emergency room and help them out. Replacing two nurses might be a bit rough on you after today, but I’m almost 100% sure you can manage. Dome; can you watch these two? I’m going to meet with Leos, and then send him here. Oh, Right. Ms. Daisy! The brand new Gym teacher Mr. Onareilam is with them. Noel’s blood is cursed, see, and he knows a thing or two about it. The nurses have a barrier set up – anti space. Make sure you remember the codes for emergency situations. And Dome, DON’T let anybody come inside. NOT even the Principal himself. DO you understand me? Nobody. Neither students nor teachers. If they’re injured, then call the police and close the door on them. That will be all. (I’m not taking ANY more chances today. After examining the children's memories each, I’ll begin setting the stage.)“
Dome: “Normally I’d say no. I’m off duty since my shift ended earlier, but...I do still owe that girl for taking my place. This isn’t me copping out of my deal to her though, so stop glaring at me like that! I’ll watch over the brats for free, yeesh. Today has been all kinds of weird.”
Ms. Daisy: “Alright hun, I’ll do my best. Let’s see what I can get done. No promises I can properly fill two shoes at once though.”
Mr. Abrams: “Your willingness to try is all that I needed to hear to feel at ease. Thank you Ms. Daisy, I know you’ll fulfill the task well. OH! I was about to leave without grabbing these *VWISH*
…
She had 7 cellphones on her? Ms. Daisy, She was injured in the neck, not the head where she claims. Please start your examination from there.”
Ms. Daisy: “Hm? Is that so?
(Then what are these...what appear to be metal filaments, doing in her hair around the temple? Could some strange dust have exploded against her neck or something of the sort?) Well, either way, thank you for that. I’ll remember your ‘tip’ when it’s time to give her an examination, later on.”
After receiving their consent Mr. Abrams searched the entire hospital until locating Leos, huddled in a corner of his hospital bed. He appeared traumatized and constantly mumbled an apology softly and addressed at nobody specific. How was Mr. Abrams supposed to break through to him in time, before the sun completely went low? He could teleport right there, directly beside the boy; but he fears that by doing so, Leos would just assume he’s being attacked again and scream his heart out.
He COULD just teleport in FRONT of the door. That wouldn’t scare him as bad. Sure, it would still take a bit of convincing to get Leos to actually OPEN the door, but it’s still the easier job to accomplish. Maybe...Maybe it isn’t actually. If he teleports in front of Leos ans smacks the child on the cranium with his trusty magically - augmented cane, similar to Wayne; perhaps the boy won’t have time to call for help. Yes, this is TRULY the easiest, and most sure-fire method…
…
...But he wouldn’t do that. It would feel far too similar to a villain’s actions. And he wasn’t too keen on forcing Leos of all students; the ONLY kid dealt a shitty hand twice by villains, to relive his most recent trauma. There was absolutely no doubt in Mr. Abrams’s mind that Leos was afraid. This kid had been forced to live through a hell of a horrible life. There were some personal memories that the teacher was sort of tempted to pry into. It couldn’t be helped. It was a national mystery and the authorities were never going to gain the clearance to search him. The Malierano Family would never allow it. Besides, he could think of about two other families with connections to ‘Watts’ back then. They’d probably find a way to step in as well. Other shady and shifty people are bound to worry over their secrets being exposed, so all in all, the REAL reason such a case is still ‘unsolvable’ isn’t that they lack the proper means to solve it, but because certain ‘people’ want it that way.
Mr. Abrams: “Haah. I’ll … just knock on the door then.”
*VWISH!*
*Knock – Knock!*
Leos jumps at the sound. Who … could it be? That loud guy would probably just slam the door open, rather than waste time knocking.
Leos: “(Could it be a villain? I better not answer just in case. I better hide – or … jump out of the window---Damn. I’m on the second floor! I better just hide then.)”
Mr. Abrams: “Hey, Leos. It’s me. I saw you scared on the bed, so I came to check on if everything was alright. Can I come in?”
Leos: “(If he knows my name, and that I’m in here, then even if I hide, it would still be useless. I’m still dead.) Haah. Co-Come in…”
*Creak...*
Mr. Abrams: “If you want to talk…”
Leos: “I… What was all that noise before?”
Mr. Abrams: “Two of the nurses were being brainwashed. I handled it. They can’t cause anymore explosions so don’t you worry. I also took the liberty of checking each and every student and faculty member affiliated with class 3 - C in this building and Dome is prepared to bar the rest from coming through. He’s a very powerful person when he feels motivated enough. You can rest easy.”
Leos: “...That’s...okay I guess. Why is somebody targeting us, Mr. Abrams?”
Mr. Abrams: “I don’t know yet. I suspect somebody in the Realist faction has gone rogue and become a villain, or maybe they were ALWAYS a villain and merely infiltrated. But either way don’t worry about the ‘who’ and ‘why’. I will never allow such a thing to happen again, so long as you are my student.”
Leos: “So, why are you really here then? I mean, I appreciate the ‘honesty’ and all, coming to see if I was okay. But Why did you REALLY pay me a visit?”
Mr. Abrams: “What are you implying? I came to check if you were okay after the disaster shook the entire building. Why wouldn’t I check up on you after this?”
Leos: “…Mr. Abrams… You already admitted to looking into everyone’s minds or something like that, right? After two nurses suddenly turned into brazen terrorists, you’re probably scared any one of your precious students are in the same boat. Am I wrong?”
