Chapter 32: Chaos Enshrined

Tsarina giggled like a little girl, kicking her legs back and forth, as she led on the hallway wooden floor with Nebula beside her and a sheet of paper in front of her.

"Ok-ok~ so I want it to have a really long handle, a really long- no actually give it two blades on each side, and-and cover it in spikes!" Tsarina proclaimed excitedly while pointing at the paper. With heavy eyes and on the verge of exhaustion, a drowsy and half-awake Erinabeth held a paintbrush to the resting paper as Tsarina listed her requests.

"Are you trying to make a scythe or an edgy pickaxe?" Erinabeth mumbled with a solemn expression plastered on her face as she rubbed her eyes. Tsarina froze, her face turning red, and crossed her arms in a pout at her idea being called edgy.

Inside Solus' bedroom, Solus placed the small cup of his blood on a coffee table and readjusted it a couple of times before moving his hand to pick up his paintbrush. With nervous eyes, Oshi watched the paintbrush tip rise from the table followed by it dipping into Solus' blood.

"Are you really ok with this?" Oshi said, rubbing his index fingers with unease and dread twisting through him. Turning his head, Solus passed Oshi a puzzled stare and raised an eyebrow.

"What makes you say that?" Solus asked nonchalantly, tapping the excess blood off the brush against the rim of the cup. Oshi lowered his head as heavy breaths left his mouth.

"I mean... won't you need to suspend your pact with Nebula to make one with me?" Oshi murmured meekly. Solus smirked mildly, pointing the paintbrush at Oshi while thinking Oshi's apprehension was refreshing.

"You don't have to worry about that; if you noticed, Tsarina also has a pact with me," Solus stated. Oshi shot his head up in surprise. He quickly pushed himself to his feet before moving to the door and sliding the door ajar until he could see the designing trio. He slowly moved the door shut, pressing his head against it, before he scuttled back to Solus.

"So you can have multiple pacts; Just like...?" Oshi asked before stopping mid-sentence as another thought overrides his current one.

"... but why?" Oshi uttered. Solus rubbed his forehead with his index finger, his smirk growling slightly, and amusedly exhaled.

"If you can't put how it works into words then it'll make things easier if you can share it through linking our senses," Solus explained. Oshi lightly clasped his trash can lid hat, his uncertainty still growing with a small tinge of relief mixed in. He lowered his hand, locking his fingers together as he bowed his head to Solus.

"Ok... let's do the pact.". Oshi shuffled over to Solus and sat in front of him, placing his trash can lid to one side as he adjusted his sitting position. Although the two were ready, Solus spent an unusually long time repositioning the paintbrush around Oshi's arms, making him eep every time Solus moved the brush tip towards him before abruptly pulling it away.

"...". The two sat in silence, the only sound in the room being the flicks of the paintbrush and the distant chatter of the others outside the room. With every second the silence continued, Oshi could feel the beating in his chest grow heavier and heavier, reaching the point Solus could hear it even if he didn't have super hearing. Solus sighed in defeat as he lifted the brush away from Oshi's right arm.

"I can't think of where to put it... since Tsarina decided on wanting the marks to be in different places," Solus grumbled as he waved the paintbrush around. A light exhale escaped from Solus through his nose as he braced himself to pick a spot. The bedroom door shot open with Tsarina screaming incoherently in excitement, her voice reaching such a high decibel it shattered Solus' eardrums and made him involuntarily jolt forwards.

"Solus the... design... is done...," Tsarina said, her tone shifting from pure glee to nervous worry as she saw Solus arched forward and recoiling in pain. As Solus began to turn his head, Tsarina felt a heavy dread descend apon her before diving out of the bedroom and shutting the door behind her. Solus stared at the closed door with exhausted and strained eyes, the reverberations of Tsarina's shouting rattling his brain.

"Why does she have to be an earful?" Solus grumbled while itching the inside of his right ear. He returned his gaze to Oshi, only to widen his eyes as he noticed the splodge of blood above his right eye. He hung his head low in defeat before painting a ring around Oshi's right eye. The ring shone brightly filling the room as squares appeared in the four cardinal directions on the ring, giving it the resemblance of a compass. The light faded, revealing the ring's yellow and lime now colouration along with the cubes' changes(the north and south being gold, and the east and west being silver).

"You done in there?" Tsarina asked impatiently, her silhouette vaguely visible behind the sliding door. Solus placed a hand over his right eye, lightly clasping the area around it as his horns emanated a teal glow.

"Uh-oh," Tsarina uttered before her silhouette shot off, followed by a loud crash of pillows and other furniture. Solus deeply groaned before he felt Oshi grab one of his blond kitsune tails with a surprisingly tight grip.

"It's changing," Oshi remarked as he stared at the blond tail's tip, watching it morph from colourless to a rouge red. Bewilderment covered every inch of Oshi's face once the tail tip fully changed, leaving him to wonder why.

"Yeah... seems like it," Solus said, moving his three tails with coloured tips in front of his face and staring at them with a mix of confusion and mild concern.

"I'll need to check something later," Solus uttered mentally. He parted his tails and rose to his feet, feeling the agitated glare of Tsarina through the gap in the door as she rubbed her bruised forehead.

"You're gonna regret that~," Tsarina grumbled, tightly clutching at the design sketch of her spirit weapon, and pointed a finger at Solus. Solus turned his head to Tsarina, giving her an unamused stare as he walked up to her. She bent her finger slightly, recoiling her hand away from Solus as he stood in front of her.

"And how do you plan on getting that spirit weapon if you use your Azure Ability on me?" Solus asked as he forced the door open, making Tsarina fall flat on the floor. Tsarina pouted in disdain, flailing her arms and legs as Nebula intentionally flopped on top of her. Tsarina squirmed underneath Nebula with all her might, her weight surprisingly heavy which Tsarina could only compare to a baby elephant, before going completely limp as she exhausted the last of her strength.

"Help...," Tsarina uttered, her voice deflated to a meek whimper as the last of the air out of her lungs. Solus rolled his eyes and raised his foot to Nebula's side before pressing it against her and rolling her off Tsarina. Tsarina weakly raised a hand before dropping it and her face to the floor, followed by her flattening out like a deflated balloon.

"What a drama queen," Erinabeth stuttered before slinking into the trapdoor in the ceiling and slamming it shut.

Meanwhile, in Solus' Shinsokuko Realm, Solmeuetzo sat within his shrine while gazing up to the sky as it presented the situation between Solus and co through Solus' eyes. He raised his hand to his face, pressing his fingers against the spots by the sides of his top right as it twitched. Solmeuetzo forced his top right eye open, now possessing a rouge red eye and signifying the finalisation of the spirit pact between Solus and Oshi.

"Now you can give me more attention with that extra eye~," Kyoshina purred while raising a hand up to Solmeuetzo's face and playfully swaying around like grass caught in a breeze. Solmeuetzo watched Kyoshina's hand wave in front of his face, his three functioning eyes narrowing into a scowl as he traced his vision down Kyoshina's arm until locking eyes with her.

Kyoshina greedily grinned at Solmeuetzo as she rested her head on his lap, pressing her head even harder into his lap; her enjoyment becoming palpable at seeing Solmeuetzo's scowl grow from her action. Kyoshina turned her head and playfully arched her hand at Solmeuetzo not dissimilar to a cat, her dragon tail's swaying also emulating an elated cat.

The smugness oozing from Kyoshina seeped into Solmeuetzo filling him with a sour temperment, making his face contort into utter disgust. His response only went to make Kyoshina morph her greedy grin into a wicked smile.

"Oh~ are you getting all worked up over m-.". Kyoshina was cut off mid-coo as Solmeuetzo grabbed her by the throat. Knowing what was to occur, her eyes widened in shocked surprise as Solmeuetzo tightened his grip. Her body went limp, her dark complexion turning a ghostly pale, at feeling herself being lifted but mostly from being strangled.

Kyoshina was expelled from the shrine, hurtling through the air before crashing into the ground and rolling down the hill until slamming back first into a broken torii. Her tail flopped over her body, obscuring her dazed face as she saw stars.

"What a hassle," Solmeuetzo uttered as he closed his eyes and began meditating, expelling Kyoshina's spirited chakra from his body. Silence and peace returned to his shrine for the time being, even if the peace would only last for as long as it took for Kyoshina to recover
