At the end of the school day, Erinabeth dragged her feet along the stone-brick path of the academy's courtyard as she held her head low like a lifeless puppet with her arms drooping by her sides. Lumina, whose hair looked like a mix between a tumbleweed and an afro, and Abigail walked alongside Erinabeth sharing her exhausted demeanour only to a lesser degree.
"How can someone talk for so long without any breaths between lectures? Just recollecting it makes my mouth dry," Lumina grumbled as Erinabeth and Abigail nodded in agreement.
"But at least everything she said was completely understandable," Abigail remarked.
"True," Lumina and Erinabeth said at the same time. The trio reached the section of the courtyard in front of the academy and spotted Solus and co waiting for them. The trio picked up their pace and briskly rushed over to the others. The sounds of the trio's footsteps caught Solus' attention; he turned and immediately shot Lumina a smug grin.
"You look like a mess," Solus remarked before proceeding to poke Lumina's mess of a hairdo. Lumina narrowed her eyebrows and shot Solus an annoyed side-eye.
"An astute observation, punching bag," Lumina retorted snarkily before she turned on her heel and walked towards the academy's entrance archway. Everyone aside from Solus followed after Lumina, and Tsarina pulled on Solus' cuff to get his attention.
"I didn't think her hair looked like a mess.".
"Didn't you live in the forest whenever you weren't breaking into my closet? So I don't think you have the best sense of appearances," Solus said with a half-hearted joking tone. Tsarina gave her cheek a brief itch as she adverted her gaze.
"Fair...," Tsarina murmured.
After catching up to the others by the archway, Solus noticed Syonix standing on the side of the entrance hallway handing out flyers to any students who'd take one. (Syonix is a tall dark-tanned twenty-year-old humanoid half-abyssal/half-dyrid[he has retractable large greyish-black razor wings, and a long narrow greyish-black vine tail with a paint brush-shaped tail tip]; a large mane of reflective muted-orange hair with goes down to his shoulders and has a few greyish-black vines sticking out from his hair, rouge red eyes with oval pupils, and sharp fangs)(Syonix is wearing a dark grey winter fur coat which goes down to his knees and he wears it with the front unbuttoned, a black short sleeve shirt, fuzzy black fur trousers, and dark-grey fur winter boots)
"Rember the cheros, Sol-Kun," Nebula mumbled as she occasionally glanced over at the flyers in Syonix's hands. Solus gave Nebula a head nod before putting his focus on the others.
"You gals, go on ahead. I need to buy cherry tomatoes," Solus explained to the others. The others bidded Solus, Nebula and Tsarina goodbye while Lumina told Solus not to take too long before she and the others headed home.
"I'm surprised she'd say something like that given her personality is sixty percent tsundere," Syonix remarked as he strolled up to Solus.
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"Don't look too deep into it; she's only worried about not having dinner at the usual time," Solus retorted cheerfully. Syonix held and offered a pair of flyers to Solus and Nebula. Nebula took the flyer about the opening of the Linyorath sisters' bakery before she and Tsarina inspected the flyer's contents. Solus took the other flyer, and upon opening it Solus was greeted with information about the missing spirit.
"That's all the info Erinabeth and I managed to gather in relation to the runaway spirit," Syonix stated
"So that's why she was spending her free periods and lunch breaks running around like a headless chicken?" Tsarina remarked perplexedly. Solus scanned the lists of information, darting his eyes over every section of the flyer, and closed it once he was done reading its contents.
"So, they've been mostly spotted around Hytal Street," Solus remarked. Solus placed a hand on his chin and mulled over what he should do wondering if he should call his grandfather or seek out Sovereign's help. Syonix rolled his eyes and sighed to get Solus' attention.
"Don't overthink it; I'm sure the moment the spirit senses your mana they'll come running to you; unlike me who'd just scare them off," Syonix mentioned. Tsarina glanced over at Syonix, inspecting him from head to toe as she wondered something.
"Are you doing the Armatization thingy?" Tsarina asked as she raised an eyebrow. Syonix's eye twitched at Tsarina's sudden question before he smirked and nodded.
"Yeah... most third years have their Armatization on all day for training purposes. Why do you ask?" Syonix asked.
"I just thought doing it was taxing or something.".
"That's only when the user and spirit's compatibility is low or the two are exhausted before transforming, Tsarina," Solus stated with Tsarina nodding in acknowledgement. Solus thanked Syonix for the info before he left the academy's premises and walked in the opposite direction of Lumina and the others. Syonix watched Solus walk off, smirking to himself as he thought over Tsarina's question.
"Was she able to tell?" Syonix remarked mentally as he returned to handing out flyers for the bakery.
Back at the Sakamoto residence, a battered and messed-up-haired Lumios sat on the sofa while holding Lola by her tails as she lay flat on her belly. Lola yawned boredly as she placed her hand on the sofa and pushed herself up into a sitting position.
"Can you let go of my tails, Mr Sketcher?" Lola whined as she tried flapping her tails to break free.
"Are you going to stop trashing the house," Lumios asked as he rubbed his forehead with his free hand. Lola meekly sulked as she flopped onto her side and whined like a baby. Lumios peeked through the gaps between his fingers and looked at the knocked-over furniture in the living room as the sound of the front door opened and closed.
"I'm glad Solus decided to go get those cherry tomatoes.. he definitely make a joke at my expense if he saw the state of the living room," Lumina muttered as she recalled herself as a child with dark golden sparks of lightning coming out of her body while being surround by ravaged furniture.
"Lumina, could you give Lola and Kusana a bath?" Lumios requested.
"Alright...," Lumina said as scooped up Lola from the sofa and Kusana from the single-seating sofa before she carried the two to the bathroom. Lumios rubbed his face as he sat up and brushed the green fur strands off his banana-themed pyjamas.
"I put all your stuff in the spare bedroom next to Lumi's bedroom," Lumios stated before he strolled over to the knocked-over coffee table and flipped it over.
"Alrighty~ but let us help first," Abigail excitedly said as Forge formed above her and floated over to Lumios to assist him followed by Abigail, Camellia and Erinabeth.
