Chapter 1: A Not So Unexpected Visitor

Snowflakes slowly descended apon the snow-covered city of Aioniotita with the shining rays of light cutting through the clouds from the sun as it began to rise from behind the tall mountain range that surrounded the city. People and vehicles alike hurried about their business as the sun fully rose, to signify the start of the day as the snowfall began to relent.

At a residence on the east side of Aioniotita, a mostly blond, with some lime parts and a single night sky ahoge, haired lightly tanned male teen loudly snored as he slept in his futon. The teen rolled over causing the short pale skinned girl with long hair, which resembles a nebula in the night sky, to roll off his chest and onto the futon as she was nibbling on one of the male teen's white horns.

"Solus! Are you awake?!" a female voice asked as she loudly pounded on the bedroom door. Solus mumbled to himself as he slowly arose and lazily opened his blond, with lime iris', eyes before glancing over at his bedroom door.

"What is it, Lumina!?" Solus mumbled as he clicked his neck. Lumina could be heard angerly huffing.

"I'm going out to the store so if anyone shows up you better answer it, you got that?" Lumina instructed. Lumina started to tap her foot as she waited for a response from Solus.

"Alright... I heard you, sis, you don't need to wait around," Solus lazily said. Lumina huffed again before storming off, followed by the sound of the front door opening and then slamming shut. Solus rolled his eyes and went to lie down before something crossed his mind.

"She'd probably kick my ass if she sees me still in bed when she gets back," Solus remarked before attempting to get out of bed but was temporarily halted by the nebula-haired girl clinging to his right leg; Solus eventually broke free of the girl's grip before getting out of bed and, after covering the girl with the futon's blanket, walked over to his closet. Solus took some clothes(a yellow hoodie, a white t-shirt, and white wool joggers) out of the closet and put them on. As Solus was closing the closet, he heard the girl in his futon mumbling to herself as she was rolling around in her sleep. Solus rolled his eyes as he strolled back over to the futon and tucked the girl in.

"So...lus..." the sleeping girl whispered in her sleep as Solus exited his room.

Solus walked into the open kitchen, that was connected to the living room and noticed a note on the fridge with his name on it.

"Solus sweetie could you please start making some pink macaron please, love you-mom." the note read. Solus rolled his eyes before rubbing them and then rereading the note. Solus placed the note back on the fridge and then opened the fridge.

A few minutes later, Solus watched the tray full of partially baked macarons when he heard someone knock on the front door; he sighed as he sat up and headed over to the front door. Solus arrived at the front door and swiftly opened it.

"Can I help you?" Solus asked before he gained a confused expression as he noticed the teen girl with loads of luggage. The light-skinned teen, aside from the streak of magenta on her fringe, had pure curly black hair and magenta eyes. The girl was itching one of her spirally magenta horns and twirling her thin magenta tail, which had a diamond(like on cards) end, with her other hand. She suddenly noticed Solus had answered the door and quickly freed up her hand before awkwardly chuckling.

"O-oh, fancy seeing you here, hehe," the teen remarked as she rubbed the back of her head. Solus tilted his head while wondering if she was joking.

"Yeah... who would have thought I'd be seen at the place I live at," Solus snarked as he leaned against the door frame and crossed his arms.

"And you are?" Solus added. The teen suddenly gained a face of realisation and face palmed, while muttering she knew she forgot something.

"I-I'm Camellia-Camellia Duskalov; you're Solus Sakamoto I presume?" Camellia asked.

"That's right... wait did you say you're Camellia Duskalov?" Solus asked. Camellia gave a confirmative nod and quickly explained that Solus' mom should have mentioned she'd be coming over today, although she did add she wasn't sure why. Solus moved out of the way of the door and gestured for Camellia to come in.

"Don't worry about your stuff, I'll deal with it," Solus mentioned as his horns started to glow teal before Camellia's luggage started to glow teal as well and started levitating,

"Cool," Camellia mentioned as she walked backwards into the Japanese-themed one-story house and watched her luggage float behind her. After all the luggage had floated inside, Solus closed the door and walked back into the house. As he was walking down the hallway, Solus noticed that one of the dual sliding doors of his bedroom was open. Solus stopped in front of his open bedroom door and spotted Camellia crouched next to the sleeping nebula-coloured-haired girl.

"Who's the little cutie in the futon?" Camellia asked.

"She's Nebula, my spirit partner," Solus answered. Camellia surprisedly stared at Solus.

"Wait really, man that's really rare for a spirit wielder and a spirit partner to be different genders," Camellia commented. Solus glanced over towards the kitchen while commenting it seems the macarons are done as he walked off. Camellia glanced at the open door before looking back at Nebula and noticed the bedsheet on her appeared to be slightly crumpled. Camellia lifted the bedsheet, in preparation to completely smooth it out, but after catching a glimpse of what was underneath instantly put it back down as her face turned bright red. Camellia quickly stood up and hurried out of Solus' bedroom.

Camellia walked over to the living room and noticed her luggage was neatly piled by one of the sofas. Camellia inspected her luggage and noticed her animal carrier was missing.

"Where's Metsu?" Camellia said to herself.

"I put your cat girl on the single sofa," Solus said from the kitchen as he took the macarons out of the oven. Camellia glanced around and spotted Metsu(a five-year-old looking tanned girl, with dark purple hair, cat ears and three long black and dark purple striped cat tails) sleeping on a cushion in the nude. Camellia sighed as she reached into one of her bags and pulled out a plain purple short dress and quickly dressed the sleeping Metsu without waking her up.

Camellia walked over to the kitchen and watched as Solus used his telekinesis to lift the macarons off their tray and onto a plate. Solus placed the plate on the counter and noticed Camellia was resting her chin on the counter, right next to the plate.

"Can I have one?" Camellia excitedly asked, while intently staring at the macaroons like a cat on the verge of pouncing.

"Can't you at least wait until they've cooled down first?" Solus rhetorically snarked as he placed the dirty tray in the kitchen sink.

"I'm a demon, I doubt a hot sweet can hurt me-ow," Camellia said as she picked up a macaron and instantly dropped it when it burnt her.

"Meow?" Solus asked as he turned around and noticed Camellia was sadly looking at the floor; Solus glanced down at the floor and noticed the remnants of the splatted macaron's remains.

"S-sorry," Camellia said sadly. Solus told her not to worry about it, as he made a broom float over with a macaron and made it start sweeping the ground.

"Tragedy," a feeble female voice said from behind Solus. Camellia was caught off guard by the sudden female before glancing around Solus and noticing the one who spoke was Nebula, who was wearing the futon blanket as a cloak. Nebula tiredly pressed her face against Solus' legs before slowly climbing up his body; she rested her head on Solus' shoulder before seemingly going back to sleep.

"Soo... do you where Lumi is?" Camellia nervously asked as she twiddled her fingers while breathing heavily, which made Solus visually uneasy.

"Yeah... she went out to the store, but are you alright...?" Solus asked before he glanced over at the plate of macarons and noticed a few were gone. He unamusedly glared at Camellia as she started to tear up at having the hot macarons in her mouth.
