Solus closed his bedroom door behind himself, dragging his feet along the floor before collapsing sideways onto his futon as Nebula, Tsarina, Kusana, and Lola slept on his kitsune tails. Solus rolled his head to rest against his pillow and groaned, exhaustion oozing from his voice as the others contently slept.
"Grandfather wasn't kidding about Lola being a handful when she's upset...," A tired-sounding Lumina uttered as she and Camellia walked past Solus' bedroom.
"You're telling me... what even caused her to get so erratic?" Camellia mumbled as Metsu stumbled after the duo.
"I believe she most likely sensed her father's brief arrival on the premises," Lumios remarked before the sound of his room's door closing shortly followed.
"A papa's girl... can't say I'm surprised," Camellia murmured before she and Lumina went to bed. Solus mentally sighed before a weak knock at his door caught his attention. The door slowly crept open and Oshi poked an eye through the crack in the door. Although he did not utter a single word, the look in Oshi's eyes told Solus everything he needed to know.
"Fine...," Solus uttered lazily. Oshi waddled his way into the bedroom, his trashcan lid hat clanging against his head, as he approached Solus. Oshi placed the trashcan lid to one side before sitting beside Solus. A meek mutter echoed from Oshi, leaving Solus to turn his head to look at him.
"Is there something troubling you?" Souls asked lazily. Oshi glanced at his trashcan lid and uttered a weak whimper.
"I dunno...," Oshi said while keeping his eyes on the trashcan lid as the memory of him being thrown into a trashcan flashed through his mind. A tear welled up in Oshi's eye, his sadness growing even tighter in his chest as a shaky and angry female voice barked through his mind.
"If... someone does something they can't undo do they deserve bad things to happen to them?" Oshi murmured, his body shaking and his breath becoming unstable with each word he managed to force out. Oshi lowered his head as far as he could, slumping his shoulders, and felt the tightness in his chest steal his breath. As he felt the tightness in his chest pang to numbing levels, Oshi felt himself brought to the verge of breaking into tears as small trickles of tears ran down his face; but right as he was about to breakdown, Solus flopped one of his kitsune tails on Oshi's head to snap him out of his pitiful trance.
"I mean context is everything, so it's hard for me to answer," Solus remarked as Oshi climbed his way through Solus' tail until managing to break free.
"Huh?".
"Like punching someone for no reason is bad, right?" Solus asked, to which Oshi nodded.
"But if that person was trying to hurt you, and you punch them to protect yourself then it's ok," Solus added. Oshi glanced downwards contemplating to himself before returning his gaze to Solus.
"So you're saying I didn't deserve to be binned for a mistake?" Oshi asked as he wiped the tears in his eyes with his wrists.
"I mean it really depends... wait does this mistake of yours involve your...?" Solus asked. Oshi's face turned bright red and he adverted his eyes, confirming Solus' suspicion. Solus uttered an amused huff, making Oshi look back at him in confusion.
"So what happened?" Solus asked. Oshi tapped the tips of his fingers together and pouted.
"It was a misunderstanding between them and me," Oshi uttered, rubbing his fingers together as he pondered on telling Solus what happened. As he continued pondering, Oshi heard snoring and he glanced in its direction to realise Solus had fallen asleep.
"Oh...," Oshi uttered with a hint of relief. He rested his head against Solus' kitsune tail and shut his eyes.
The next morning, a groggy Lumina and Camellia dragged themselves out of Lumina's room and down the hall to the living area.
"Why do all schools make the first day on the last day of the weekday?" Lumina mumbled as she stomped her way towards Solus' room. Lumina raised her fist to the door, priming herself to knock on the door. As the bedroom door slid open, she swung her arm forward and Lumina felt her hand collide with something round and soft. Lumina raised her gaze from the floor, her eyes widening at the sight before her, or more accurately the two large black spheres obscuring it. An envious, but quiet, grumble escaped from Lumina's lips as she remained face-to-face with the sleeping Nebula's breast.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
"Can't you make your own breakfast for once?" Solus asked unamusedly while carrying the sleeping Nebula, dressed in only an oversized black T-shirt, under one arm. Lumina shot her head to the side with a pout, placing a hand on her hip and huffing in annoyance.
"And Incur your wrath for putting something back in the wrong place? No thanks," Lumina stated in defiance. Solus rolled his eyes, stepping out of his room with Tsarina and Zu, Lola, and Kusana sleeping on his kitsune tails.
"How hard can it be putting things back where they belong?" Solus asked. Lumina bit her bottom lip, her frustration simmering under her breath as she held her tongue.
"It was five degrees off," Lumina mumbled as she tightened her grip on her hip. Solus rolled his eyes and readjusted Nebula in his arm.
"Say, have either of you seen Oshi?" Solus asked as he closed the door. The female duo shrugged, stating they wouldn't have had the chance given they just woke up.
"How fascinating, to think an azure ability could modify organic life to such a precise extent with no error," a lackadaisical feminine voice stated from down the hall. The group turned to find the voice's owner, a wave of shock hitting Lumina and Camellia while Solus seemed more unamused than shocked. The very tall female with an almost perfect match to Lumios' appearance only more feminine exited Lumios' room.
"You didn't tell me Mr Luminous had a sister," Camellia remarked in shock as she turned to Solus.
"Only a little sister," Solus stated, crossing his arms as Lumios walked up to the group with Oshi waddling behind him. Lumina stood in stunned silence, taking in Lumios' hourglass and bustier figure, and watched Lumios' knee-low hair swish around as he spoke.
"Come now Solus, how could I skip on such a rare opportunity?" Lumios remarked, his voice a mix of glee and amusement while still sounding monotone. As Solus and Lumios continued to talk, Camellia mindlessly nodded along to the conversation, a beaming smile on her face as her brain continued to buffer. Camellia slowed her head nodding as she recognised Lumios' speech patterns.
"Wait... so you're not Lumios' sister but Lumios himself?" Camellia uttered in confusion. Lumios parted his hand dismissively while his miruku tendrils rattled like the end of a rattlesnake.
"Oh...," Camellia added, fully acknowledging the person was Lumios. She rubbed the back of her head while Metsu lightly bumped her head against the side of her leg for food.
"That's pretty crazy, right, Lum...i?". Camellia turned her head to Lumina, a puzzled glint entering her eyes as she watched the small trickle of blood running from Lumina's nose. Lumina swayed back and forth, her mind going blank, before falling backwards and crashing out on her kitsune tails. The gang glanced down at Lumina, watching her soul leak out of her body.
"Is she ok?" Oshi asked while Solus stepped over Lumina.
"She'll snap out of it when food's in the picture," Solus stated as he walked over to the kitchen.
A few minutes later, the group sat around the table with one plate absent a diner. With a slightly red tissue up her nose, Lumina quietly sat at her seat, a myriad of thoughts running through her mind, as she took a bite out of her pancake. She snuck a peak at Lumios, her tissue's gradient shifting redder as she watched Lumios like a hawk.
"I'm not... am I? No... it's just because I have a crush on Lulu and his new appearance took me by surprise...right?" Lumina murmured mentally, continuing to prattle to herself while unintentionally glaring straight at Lumios. Lumios occasionally looked to Lumina, checking if she was still staring at him, before veering his vision to Solus.
"I believe she's not pleased with me," Lumios whispered to Solus through one of his miruku tendrils. Solus sighed in disbelief and lightly pushed the tendril away.
"I doubt it, she just looks like that when she's overthinking," Solus stated with a drowsy Nebula on his lap. Solus lowered his fork to his plate, followed by a chinking scratch filling his ear when it collided with the empty plate. Solus darted his vision to the squicky clean plate before the munching sound drew his gaze to Nebula, with half a stack of pancakes in her mouth.
"Woah she can give big sis a run for her food," Lola remarked as she held a pancake in her hands like a steering wheel. Kusana stoically gave Lola a side-eye.
"Daughter of Chronia is one to talk," Kusana stated. Lola tilted her head at Kusana's remark in confusion until Kusana pointed out the stacks of plates around Lola's section of the table. Lola lightly giggled, taking a monstrous seventy per cent out of her pancake in a single bite, as Solus called for Kusana.
"Kusana, could you get Abigail before her food gets cold?" Solus asked. Kusana nodded before she hovered off her chair like she were on an elevator.
"Understood, Son of... ... ...". Kusana went deathly silent, drawing the eyer of Lola.
"Did you forget big sis' name?" Lola asked perplexedly. Kusana huffed in a pout and crossed her arms.
"Of course not, Kusana is just used to saying the name of the parent which matches their gender," Kusana stated snarkily before flying off.
With Lola in a furball mode and rolling behind her, Kusana floated out of the dining room and across the living room to the makeshift pillow fort tent situated in the corner of the living room.
"Daughter of Jeslyina, Son- Solus requests you eat breakfast," Kusana stated defeatedly, her face even wincing at referring to Solus in a normal way. The pillow fort jostled while Abigail repeatedly said she'd be out in a minute, leaving the duo with no other option but to wait.
