{Sentiment - Kevin Penkin}
After stealing parts from some beat-up machines, I walked deeper into the forest for several hours. I did it; I obtained my so-longed freedom, but now what? I was released from my duties to the world, and the executives had no choice but to let me go, but now what?
I'm alone in the forest, walking with a gigantic backpack that carries robot pieces and my last two fuel cells, but what do I do now? What's there for me to do? Do I live my life as a hermit? [Doesn't sound so bad] I know, but when it comes to the story, is this it? I guess so.
I've achieved my goal, but I feel empty now that I have it. I feel like I'm missing something, and I know exactly what it is: I'm missing my love. If I could have Anton with me alone in these woods, I could build a house and have children here. I'm strong enough to beat up any wild threats. That would be perfect!
I think as I look forward toward a beautiful landscape before me. It was just as lovely as some of the others I saw the first time I saw daylight, and I could already picture a house near the calm, small water canal from a small waterfall.
[Do you want me to take over the building side of things?] No, I think I can handle it, but thanks for offering help, Raphael. [Okay]
It was time to check for anything valuable in the robot loot I had stolen, so I checked my backpack. I guess I could use some valuable blades and even two small swords to shape wood. Yet, what am I going for when it comes to house styles? Oh, I know.
Raphael! [Yes?] Can you 3D print a wooden cabin design next to that big rock over there? [Done] Wow, that was fast. Are you sure you are not evolving? [Positive] Woah, alright, calm down, miss college kid.
Once the 3D overlap was formed, I better understood what and how I would make it, so I began building a wooden cabin. First, I had to chop down some wood and remember Titan's arm blades from earlier? Well, they're perfect for chopping wood down with ease. One strike and a tree goes down! Sick!
Once I've cut down enough trees, the next step is to strip some of the tree's bark. This is honestly easier said than done; it's more complicated than it looks! I must do it carefully, or the tree will break! How do I know? Well, even if I hate to say it, I have broken a couple of trees already. (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞
This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.
I'm sorry, Mother Nature. I swear I will use those trees as well! After all, I need to find a good source of electricity, or I'll die of starvation. Talk about camping. I'm on a permanent camping spree, at least until things cool down out there. People definitely hate me now, so I need to let it cool off before I even think of returning.
Besides, I also want some time, and the small projects I have in mind will give me plenty of time, as demonstrated by the wood chopping. I actually like doing work like this. It makes me feel accomplished and valuable. I feel alive. My authentic self can finally come out and do what I want!
Cutting down wood and removing tree bark while doing other small tasks makes me feel good. I can slowly see the progress getting there. It's almost night, and I have already done a lot, but since using night vision and night sensors consumes a lot of battery, I have to sleep when the sun goes down.
And so the sun begins to set after my first day alone outside in the woods. The air is clean, and the sky is bright and attractive to look at. I love it. I love the sky. I love being free, not having to worry about curfews or people who will try to kill me or, worse, "control me."
Freedom feels nice, and I embrace it with everything it brings, even the responsibilities. I enjoy not having to report to anyone but myself. Did I already say how much I like being free? Have I? Am I over exaggerating? Okay, I'll tone it down a little; it's just so lovely.
I think as I close my eyes, turn my cores off for the night, and sleep until the morning arrives. The sun hits my face and wakes me up. I then wake up with a massive yawn and a greeting from a friendly Mr bear wandering near my stash of wood.
"Hey? Mr bear, good morning to you." I say to the bear, who quickly begins to make aggressive noises toward me, but I hardly even budge. The bear then lets out a confused look with a small sweat drop of confusion as I walk directly toward it without fear.
{Grizzly bear angry noises}
{What the hell! Lunch is challenging me?! I'm about to have you as a snack! Stop approaching me like you could! WHOP!} (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞
Yup, just as I expected, I can lift a bear up with my hands as if it's no big deal. Uh? Weird, the bear stopped roaring angrily at me once I picked it up. I wonder if it's because he likes me! Yay! I got a pet bear? No way!?
{HEY! HEY! Put me down, you human! I DIDN'T CONSENT TO THIS! PUT ME DOWN!} 。゚( ゚இ▽இ゚)゚。
Oh? I'm sorry, Mr bear. I'll drop you off now. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I won't do it again. I just wanted to test my strength. I swear I didn't mean to distress you. I think as I put down the trashing bear, who quickly halts ass out of my sight. Yikes, I think I scared him, noooo!! My friend!
{DO NOT RUN NEAR SMALL FEMALE HUMAN AGAIN! DO NOT APPROACH LITTLE HUMAN GIRLS AGAIN! I SHALL NEVER AGAIN!}
