Chapter 32: Ambush finale 3/3

{Stardust crusaders OST - yugo Kanno}

It is finally time to let Raphael do its thing while I execute my plan. Due to my limited attack techniques, all I can think of are my rocket punches, but then again, what's the cost of those, you may ask? The short and simple answer is fuel. I can use them but will not have enough fuel to fly afterward.

If I can manage an uno reverse card on them and break their formation, I will have a chance of winning. Considering I have been holding them off when there are 8, I should have it easier if I remove a couple. Specifically, I want the grappler out. He's annoying.

But how do I get rid of them using their own moves? Great question. I will use the punchy guy's throwing punch against the grappler. Their defense seems worse than mine, so the punch reversal should one-shot him. My doubt now comes from my lack of experience. I don't even know if it'll work.

If it doesn't, I'm cooked; it'll be GG well played for me. [Game Over] Exactly, hey Raphael, get back to preparing! Stop interrupting! [I'm ready] Oh? All right, then, should we press the "play" button? It's showtime.

Once I got Raphael's confirmation, I enacted my plan. I intentionally launched my body against the shielder again just to be put into the usual combo between the grappler and the thrower, but that was exactly what I wanted.

"You're going down!" The grappler screams as his chains make contact with my right leg, holding me in place. Another sound queue soon alerts me to activate the overclock mode, which I do instantly, thanks to Raphael's help. Which sound queue? Pay attention.

[Slowed speech behind A52] {Destruct PUNCH!!} The thrower ate the bait beautifully.

With time slowed down, I can quickly turn my propulsors on and turn around toward the punch to punch it against the Grappler. If it works and one taps him, I'll break their formation. Chaos is my friend in this scenario.

[Propulsors fully on]

When time is about to reset, I'm already about to punch the giant fist coming my way, and I can see that nobody but me has the processing speed and power to keep up with the fast-paced move I'm about to do against them. And so it lands.

My charged punch connects with the fist, and it works; my punch moves the fist away from me and throws it against the grappler, who tries to jump out of the way. However, my speed is unmatched in overclock mode. No human could be faster, even if they wanted to.

When the fist connects against my target, it completely crushes them into a pile of rubble on the battlefield; one down, seven to go. My overclock mode goes on cool-down, but not before I can jump away behind one of the A52-sized rocks the thrower had thrown at me.

Nagomi {The mercenary} Soon retaliates against me as he mercilessly shoots the rock I hide behind, but I have a better idea for him as he also seems to lack in the defense department. How about you take this boulder, mister?! Without fear, I took my next step: throwing rocks against the weaker ones, the ones lacking defense!

Nagomi shoots at the rock over and over until I lift it slightly. Once it's a bit above ground, a slight rocket slap against it sends it flying against the mercenary, who stupidly tries to shoot the boulder down like that was going to work.

"What the?!" Nagomi screams as he is hit by the boulder, which also puts him out of commission. Two down, six to go. My quick downs catch everyone off guard as they all stand there, astonished. I managed to fight back, but I'm not done yet. My swift thinking soon reminds me of step three: use the throwable fist again to surprise attack the swordsman.

[Overclock mode is available again.] Okay, hold it off for now. I don't need it yet, Raphael. [Noted] As I'm running away toward the fist, the spammer never ceases to attack me any time if they can, making my job harder, but I manage to hide behind the fist as I pretend to be badly hurt, trying to lure Rimuru near me.

"Ugh! I surrender! Please don't kill me!" I say as I hide behind the gigantic fist. The one I wanted to bait soon responded to my plead with violence, acting exactly the way I wanted it.

The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.

"Too late for that! DIE YOU COCKROACH!" Rimuru screams as he attacks the fist with his sword, cutting the fist smoothly without realizing I found a flaw with his design. When the fist is cut in pieces, I finally use my second overclock, allowing me to slip under Rimuru to grab him and lift him toward the spammer who had already thrown their knives against me.

The Spammer's knives quickly work on Rimuru, as he takes hundreds of them directly to the face, and with his low defense, he is done, too. Three down, five to go! As I'm about to celebrate my success, the shielder angrily tries to throw something at me, but he is too slow.

"You damn thing! Eat this!" Naofumi {shielder} throws what appear to be grenades at me, but I got another idea of what to do with those as I throw Rimuru's body away. With only milliseconds left of overclock, I use all of it to its best to grab the grenades and quickly look for the spammer who sat right behind me, ready to attack me again.

I smirk in disbelief. The enemy handed me another free kill, so I gladly took it as I threw the grenades directly at the Spammer, who had almost no time to react, getting blown up to bits instantly. Four down, four to go.

"DAMN YOU!" Fang {Piercer} screams as he tries to rush me when I'm recouping, but one glance from me makes it reconsider its move, forcing him to take a step back. Next, I get Raphael ready to switch my vision controls enough to let me see through the dust cloud I would make against the last remaining.

Without more overclocking, I push my hands against the ground to activate my propulsors beneath the ground, creating a massive explosion and sending debris in every direction. The machines were controlled by humans, so it would take them a few seconds to activate their heat cameras, so I had to take the chance to take out the rock thrower next.

With one fast motion, I rush toward Rimuru's sword to use it against the thrower, which is just near enough to push. With Rimuru's sword in hand, I jump toward Nori and impale its head with the sword, taking him out of commission. Five down, three left.

"DIE!" {Machine gun noises} I left myself open against the trigger-happy Titan, who began to shoot at me while I ran toward the tank I would use as a shield. Considering his defense was above 100 thousand, he would be great at blocking bullets.

Titan stops shooting me once I make it to Naofumi, who tries to box me. However, he is no match for me and my regular speed; he is simply too slow and clunky. So I start beating the shit out of it as his friends watch, specifically the piercer who can't hold back any longer.

"Ugh! You die to me!" Fang announces himself as he charges against me. Still, I'm slightly faster than him, so I stop beating Naofumi up and focus on dodging his spear, which only bruises my chest a little, yet his reaction tells me everything once I have him basically next to me.

[Overclock mode ready] Good, now let's teach this guy a lesson, Raphael! USE ALL THE FUEL LEFT AGAINST THIS GUY. Let's show them who the best is here! [Rocket punch strength increased] With Raphael's confirmation, I punch Fang in the face with a right hook, which lifts him into the air.

"NO!" The guy controlling Fang's body screams as I start to punch Fang out of existence with merciless rocket punches left and right, making the sound of small explosions every time one of my hits lands on them until their body is completely destroyed.

"Damn it! YOU foul beast! I'll put you down! DIE!" Seeing how he was one of the last two remaining, Titan doesn't wait any longer, so it just sends his entire clip against me, giving me no time to overthink. My only option was to overclock and try to dodge or deflect the bullets.

Raphael! Overclock! [ACTIVE] Thousands of bullets pass me, but others land while I concentrate to the best of my abilities to deflect as many as I can until he runs out of Ammo, at which point the fight would be better than over. What was he going to do?

I think as I sit in the line of fire, taking shots to the face in overclocking mode. The deflected bullets only manage to damage even more of Titan's friends as they ricochet across the field, hitting anything in their path until his gun finally halts when he runs out of Ammo with me still standing before him.

"Impossible! It's not possible!" Titan freaks out as I remove the dirt from my clothes.

"Talk about rigged. You jumped me, and I still managed to beat you. How does it feel to be inferior?" I taunt Titan as he angrily deploys his arm blades to try to fight me.

"SHUT UP! You're just an F-CLASS FIGHTING DROID. THIS WAS JUST A FLUKE! IT HAS TO BE! I'M AN S RANK. I CAN'T LOSE TO YOU!" Titan screams as he slowly rushes me; with his speed, I might as well read a novel.

"You idiot! The only ones who care about ranks! ARE YOU DUMBASSES!" A single solid right hook puts Titan down as my punch tears its head off clean, leaving only Naofumi, who is trying to flee from the battlefield, but I can't have that.

"Hey, buddy, where are you going?" I say as I throw Rimuru's sword at his left foot, getting him stuck in place.

"Ugh! You can't destroy me! You don't have the firepower to do so!" Naofumi says as he looks at me, calmly walking in his direction.

"You've got communications with those pigs, don't you? How about you let me send them a message? I'll cut your head off once I'm done." I tell the control guy, who quickly connects me to the table, watching the fight.

"We get it 52! It was all just a test!" "Yeah! Understand this was a necessary test!" "It's not what it looks like." The voices from before plead as I hold the microphone.

"Leave me alone, and I'll leave you alone. But be warned, you come for me again, and I will eliminate each and every one of you if you don't erase me on your next shenanigan."
