[Betty's POV]
Wha__What is happening?!?
"Kid, take a step back."
The man issued a warning as I instinctively kicked myself backwards to leave a huge distance between me and laid my back against the wall.
There was a spear sticking out of a man's body, yet the man could still move. Is he not dead?
The monster who killed Ms. Green was growling violently on the ground as blood started pouring out from his body.
"Heave Ho."
The masked man said as he swung his spear, flinging the monster to the right side of the alleyway and once again stepped his spear into his torso, immobilising him.
The atmosphere suddenly got a lot colder as I started shivering due to the sudden temperature drop. I grabbed my coat tightly as it got so cold that I could even see my own breath.
Cold? How is that possible? It's August now.
A small faint light started to shine at the corner of my right eye as I changed the line of sight to see what it was.
The spear was glowing faintly. Dyed in blue light, there were winds surrounding the spear tip as the man's torso started to froze in the middle of nowhere. The blood that was spewing out of his shoulder was frozen along with the rest of his arms.
W...what is going on here.

"Talk."
Red demanded from the vampire as he had him pinned against the wall, with no means of moving or escaping.
The vampire simply laughed and, with his charp claws, aimed it towards Red's neck, hoping to pierce and kill him instantly.
Only for that hand to be landed on the ground.
"ARGDGHHJJJ!!!!"
Blood shrieking cries echoed the alleyway as the vampire realised that his entire right arm was cleaved off while his left am is still frozen in place.
As he could see from the ice itself, the arm was slowly turning purple as it had been a while since it was frozen.
The ice has completely cut off the oxygen needed to transplant the blood. Although the vampire is a mythical creature, it appears that it still has some human features implemented on it. Either that or, this is a common vampire.
The vampire lowered his head and decided to spit the blood in his mouth on Red, only for Red to avoid it with ease.
"Never. I will never betray my liege."
"You will tell me, even if I have to drag the information out your mouth forcefully."
"Then I rather die."
With that one sentence, the vampire started looking up and chanted vigorously as if he was spitting nonsense.

At first glance, Red was immensely confused as to what was happening. Until a warning came to help prevent him from receiving a bad fate.
[GET OUT NOW!!]
Aware of the urgency in Ryong's voice, Red immediately retrieved Stix and grabbed the young teenage girl, and bolted immediately by jumping on top of the roof and running away as far as they can.
Then.
*BOOOMMM!!!!*
A loud explosion ensued as the impact from the explosions destroyed several buildings along the way, reducing it to dust.
'He self-destructed to keep his whereabouts a secret?'
[A vampire servant is often eternally grateful to their nobles for granting them the pleasure of ascending up as a vampire. He would never betray his master.]
'Shit. We are back to square one.'
[At this rate, thou arth exterminating the vampires instead of capturing them.]
'Shut up.'
Red crouched down and looked at the scene as he got mad at how he lost another one of his only leads to the vampire den when the girl he rescued stood up and slowly made his way towards him.
Holding her hands together and rubbing them together. She nervously walked closer and, with all her strength, tried to voice out what was in her mind.
"... Are the people in the building all dead? Because of me?"
Red stopped and chuckled a little. The girl was more concerned about other people's safety than her own.
"They're fine. Luckily, the route you took was filled with empty buildings."
As those words left Red's mouth, Betty's leg gave out as she dropped the ground and slowly drifted to sleep.
"Woah....hhh...h...A..r..e..yo..u....OK...?"
Those were the last words she heard before knocking out.
Red stared at the unconscious teen and sighed.
'Now what?'
[It's not thou problem, pass it to the mage's association.]
[*Knowing them, they are sure to wipe her memories.*]
[But at least she's not scarred for life.]
"..."
Red looked up in the starry night as he tried to come up with what's the next best action for the teenage girl as the 2 entities in his mind continued fighting which is the the best course of action for the innocent civilian now.

[Betty's POV]
Urghh.
My head hurts. A lot.
I woke up with an unbearable migraine in my head as I tried reaching for my phone to see what time it was currently.
I remembered having a rather ridiculous dream where a vampire almost killed me, and some weirdo saved me in the process.
I tried to reach for my phone. Something felt different. Perhaps I was still half-asleep, but this doesn't feel like my bed.
Forcing myself to be awake, I opened my eyes wider to find myself in a nurse's room. At the corner of the room was the television, switched on and displaying in it was the news.
".... In today's news. An explosion that took place exploded in the secluded area of London, which cause multiple abandoned buildings to be demolished and reduced to ash. Thankfully, there were no citizens lingering near the district, and no casualty found near that area..."
That area looks rather familiar. But the more I tried to recall where I had seen the place before, the more unbearable my migraines became.
I turned to find all my belongings beside the bed. The school nurse walked into the room and saw me getting up.
"Oh! Are you feeling better?"
"Urgh... What happened to me? Why am I here?"
"I found you falling asleep in one of the classrooms. Because of that, I had to carry you back here to watch over you. Don't worry, I have already informed your parents that you are here."
"Right. Thank you for taking care of me, Ms. Brady. "
I grabbed my bag off the ground and checked the contents inside, making sure that I didn't lose any of my belongings when a slip of paper dropped out from my bag.
I grabbed the paper and read what was written in it.
"International... Piano Competition?"
Oh shoot. Wasn't the deadline yesterday?
I have to pass this form quickly to... ?
To... who?
"Ms. Brady, this is embarrassing, but who's the music teacher again? I have to submit this form to her, but the deadline was yesterday."
"Music teacher? Did we even have a music teacher in this school?"
"No.. I could have sworn we had a ..."
"Oh dear, your fever's back, sweetie. It's best you rest before we talk again."
"Oh, alright, Ms. Brady."
After having that conversation, Ms. Brady once again handed me a glass of water before leaving the room, and I returned back to sleep.
**
[Are thou sure that was the right thing to do?]
"... I don't have a choice now, do I?"
Red replied Ryong, discussing the morality of the situation.
He chose to submit the report that the girl encountered a vampire. Why? If he didn't report it, the incident, how long would it take for the girl to recover from being attacked.
Before Red managed was able to catch up with the vampire, he was actually at the crime scene where he encountered the dead body of the innocent bystander.
Her body and face disfigured to the point that it was unrecognisable while her body was savagely ruined and feasted on by that monster.
It was a sight no normal girls should encounter.
Before he dialled the number to report the situation, he knew exactly what was going to happen to the victim.
The magic association is going to remove all memories pertaining to the victim, which included even her own parents. No one would ever know she existed.
Was this something to be hidden?
It was not something he could decide. He does not belong to Mundi magicae, but how could anyone explain to the lady's parent that she was mauled by a vampire. The non-magus would never believe it and can only wait for the day their daughter to come back to them even though it's never going to happen.
"F*ck."
Red took a while to decide what was the best action to take, but the decision he made left a bad taste in his mouth and his stomach. It was something no one should go through.
Ultimately, he chose to contact the mages.
In the end, they all have the incident buried under the rug, using the forgetting spell to cover up the incident. Though how far are they going to go to cover up the death of the innocent, Red did not think so far ahead.
He closed his eyes with a heavy heart as he watched Betty from a distance, returning back to sleep as he had his sight targeted on the next vampire.
[Thou found it.]
"It's not too difficult since they had their bloodlust emitted so openly without any regards. It's a little further up ahead."
[Arth, thou going?]
Red took one last look at Betty and the music room, which was located on the other side.
Drenched with sweat due to the hot weather, he turned his back and headed straight for his next prey.
