The Mask delivered to me
Child's Daily life

Child's Daily life

[Luck's POV]

It's been at least 2 months since Brother Red stays with us here at the Kobold Village.

It's been a really fun time when we were all together.

In the morning I get to spend time with Brother Sab as he cooks our food for us.

In the afternoon, I went to check on Brother Red's training. It seems like he is getting faster

Just the other day, when we were supposed to gather wood for the fire, he used the weird-looking sticks to hit the tree.

It fell apart in one hit. Wowwww!!!

Brother Red is so Strong!!!

At night, I helped Brother Trek out with the hunting by helping him spot the prey.

As my sense of smell is good, I can easily find our prey.

When everyone went to sleep.

I went to look for Master Ryong.

Master Ryong is the mask that Brother Red wears every time he trains.

I first met Master when Brother Red helped defeated the monster and went to sleep.

As I helped Brother Red took his mask and wanted to return it back to him, but the mask looked funny.

So I put it on my face.

Suddenly my Master popped out and talked with me. Master is kind and strong. Even stronger than Brother Red.

I wanna be as strong as Brother Red so that if the monster comes again, I can protect them all.

No one will ever get hurt ever again.

So Master Ryong has been training me how to get stronger.

I did some punches and kicks that looks similar to what Brother Red do. It was so cool.

Master told me that in order to get stronger, I need to exercise regularly, sleep early and eat healthily.

Master is starting to sound like Brother Sab.

After training and stretching with Master. I thank him for the lessons and went to sleep, I find Brother sleeps bed and sleep beside hugging him.

I don't like to sleep with Brother Sab and Trek because their fur always makes me sneeze

But Brother Red doesn't have furs and he is very warm too.

I hope Brother Red doesn't leave.

[Red's POV]

Looks like Luck sneaked into my bed again. Her white hair causes flutters all over my fave whenever I sleep.

Look's like another day to train. I woke up shortly, after tucking Luck in the blanket.

After refreshing myself up, I put on the mask and starts hunting for breakfast.

First, I followed Trek's teaching and start to look for signs of prey. Footprints, Feces of the animal, and Signs of vegetation eaten. I scout around the area for evidence and found one.

Looks like a hooves tracks. Mostly a wild mountain boar judging by how big the size of the tracks is.

I start to climb and step on the trees one by one to the top. From there I take a look and______

"Found it."

A Wild Boar, size up to 1.9m, taller than me.

I jump from tree to tree as I saw the wild boar didn't suspect me.

I crept behind the tree, preparing to strike but it seems like it notices me. It charges at me at full speed ramming the tree.

I jumped the second it rams the trees as I dashed towards it, giving it a kick.

[Low Kick - Medium]

I slam my legs to its Foot, causing the entire leg to shatter as I muttered "Sorry, but I'm kinda hungry."

I gave it a punch.

[Choku - Zuki]

A Karate Straight Punch

Thump-!!!

The impact left a fist print on the Wildboar as it passed on.

I then carried it back to base and gave it to Sab for breakfast.

"We're having pork today."

"Oh my, isn't that the King of the Mountains," Sab asked.

Trek replies: "Food's food, as Trek continued to attend to the farm."

As we ate finished breakfast and I was to hop back to training.

Ryong spoke up.

[It's time.]

I instinctively knew what it meant. Training's over.

One trial to test my power up then we leave here to confront her.

I called Sab and Trek and decide to have a talk with them.

"Sab, Trek. Aside from all the dangers here, what's the biggest issue here."

Sab replied: "Though food and water are relatively easier to procure. However other necessities like clothes and equipment and medicine. We would need to get it from a town or cities."

"We used to have some folks who could sew clothes and make metal works. But after the Meduza. It's just us." Trek commented.

These kids really surprised me. Trek is currently 12 years old, Sab being 10 and Luck 6 years old. But at this age, they already had a sense of maturity that no other kids would ever had in their age.

"The reason why we haven't stepped out of this Rainforest wasn't because we didn't want to. It's more like we couldn't leave."

"Why?"

"Just in front of the gate you came from, is the territory of the BugBears."

"Bugbears?"

"Basically, hairy ogres. They have not invaded the Rainforest in fear of the Meduza. We managed to make peace with her, even just for a moment. " Trek commented.

Sab added: "However now that, She's dead. We plan to just hide until they leave. Since we have nothing valuable to loot from anyways."

I thought to myself. Then added: "What if I cleared them all for you? Will you be able to go to the nearest town?"

Sab nodded in silence. "Yes, the nearest city here would be the Elf Kingdom."

"None of us in generations have ever left the village. However, we always had money just in case a trader came and etc. The elf kingdom happens to be a neutral kingdom for every race."

"How long would it take you to reach there?"

"About 10 days on foot from the records of my grandmother," Sab replied in excitement.

"OK, then that settles it. I'll go clear the BugBears."

"Are you sure? They are not as strong as the Meduza, however, what they are not lacking in, is their numbers. It seems like they multiplied a lot over the years."

" Yea I will be fine, so wait for the good news, ok? In the meantime, please help me prepare some supplies. Thanks"

After collecting some supplies to prep me for the battle ahead. I pet all the kid's heads and tell them I'm gonna be back soon so wait for me.

From there I pushed ahead past the gate and past the grass patch.

It looks like I reached a Mountain path. As I proceed to push inside, the forest seems around it seems to move as well.

The forest was suspiciously quiet. Except for the few insects creaking. It was dead quiet, which could only mean one thing. It was an ambush.

As I walk through the paths, it became more apparent that something lives here. There were bones left everywhere. There were even bones of humans in full armor. And a couple of them were torn in half and decapitated.

Looks like the BugBears are a bunch of sadistic creatures.

Just then.

Swinkhh-!!!

An Axe flung from 5 meters away was aimed at my neck. I quickly grabbed the handle of the Axe just before the blade of the Axe reached my neck.

I scanned around, noticing 3 figures coming out from their hiding spots.

Looks like my prey is here.
