*Huff* * Huff*
[Current progress of the trial]
[Death Soldier: 67]
[Death Archer: 34]
[Death Knight: 3]
[Dullahan: 1]
**
Lee Jeong-Hun crept to the corner of the wall as he continued to inspect the progression of his trial for class selection.
The result was unfavourable for him despite finally beating one of the Death Soldiers without exhausting all his mana. His progression was too slow that it was laughable. The reason for that? The level capped that was instilled in him.
[Level: 50]
He wasn't able to raise his stats due to the restriction of not having a class, which ultimately refrained him from raising any of his core stats.
But it was not a complete loss for him. There were passive stats that could be raised through repeated actions, and one of the actions that he had been repeating was swinging his sword.
[Weapon Mastery: Sword] LV. Max
The result of that was the evolution of his skill.
*Weapon Mastery: Sword is Max LV. The skill will evolve further due to conditions being made.*
[Weapon Master: Sword] --> [Path of the Sword]
[Path of the Sword]: LV. 1/??
LV capped of ???
That was the first time he saw something different compared to before. There were instances where he had evolved his skills to something stronger. However, this was new.
There are different rarities to the skills he has obtained. They are ranked from the colour label of the skills themselves.
[Iron] --> [Bronze] --> [Silver] --> [Gold] --> [Platinum]
Though, some skills can be seen as rare on their own. Jeong-Hun learned from his past mistakes that just because one of the skills has a lower rarity, it didn't mean it was inferior in any way. It just meant that the skill was easier to obtain compared to some of the much rarer ones.
For example: [Battle Sense] is a bronze-labelled skill whereas [Observation] is an iron-labelled skill.
Though [Observation] is an iron-labelled skill, it is still to this day, one of the most important skills that would sometimes triumph over even [Battle Sense] when it comes to detecting enemy attacks
[Path of the Sword] was labelled in Crimson Red, which meant that its rarity of it was higher than platinum.
Before wasting any more time, he clicked on the description to conduct a further inspection.
[Path of the Sword] LV. 1/???
*You have begun your journey to master the sword to new heights. Legacies of your deeds and achievement will be recorded down for all generations to come depending on your actions.*
[Passive Skill + Title]
*Equipping the title will restrict you to only being able to equip Sword as your weapon. As you progress through your hardship using a sword, naturally, you would be able to develop your very own Swordsmanship.*

Legacy of a certain Swordsman
Status Effect: Equipping a sword would increase damage by 1 fold.
Lee Jeong-Hun stared in awed. Was he incredibly lucky, or was there a catch? Pondering in deep thought, he willingly accepted the skill and equipped the title. There was no downside for him either way since the main weapon he used was swords anyway.
As Jeong-Hun continues to check the skill description repeatedly, one of the Death Knights appeared, slamming its sword at him. Before he could comprehend the sudden attack launched by the Death Knight, his arms were already instinctively holding a sword and parrying against the Death Knight's blow.
"Wha___"
As if something was controlling him, his body was hunched forward with the sword kept close to its user, ready to spring out at any moment.
The Death Knight staggered from the parry and lost its balance. With no hesitation, Jeong-Hun's body flew straight for it, aiming at the Death Knight with the tip of his sword.
A death knight was several times stronger than a death soldier. It was a well-trained knight from a lost forgotten time because of this, they were trained in the ways of Sword fighting that were drilled in them when they were alive.
Because of this, it knew that Lee Jeong-Hun was already taking advantage of its weakness and raised his shield immediately. It was ready for any attacks
The sword clashed against the shield, igniting sparks against the surface of the shield. Lee Jeong-Hun retrieves his sword to gain stability when suddenly, the world around him turns grey.
"What...is this?"
As if time had stopped, he notices that he was frozen in time along with the rest of the inanimate objects. The Death Knight in front of him blocked his attack and was already preparing to counter-attack but was also frozen as well.
As Jeong-Hun tries to look for more clues as to what has happened, two 3D images of a tracing arrow were displayed in front of him.
One in red, and another one in blue.
They were in a series of motions but as two different line of motion.
Swinging his sword, non-stopped for years, it was clear to him what the tracing arrows are for.
They were sword paths that dictate where should he swing his sword.
Through his Instinct, he decides to swing his weapons following the red arrows. As he swings, the world around him slowly displays colour once again, as his sword started slashing vertically.
The Death Knight, who was planning to counter-attack, immediately dragged his shield to block the attack. This resulted in the collision of the weapon once again, slamming the Death Knight against the castle's walls.
Lee Jeong-Hun stood still while grabbing his sword in a sword, stance tightly.
The death knight on the other hand was furious, stepping out from the craters of the wall, he injects his sword to the ground, forming shadow spikes to protrude out from the ground, stabbing anything in its way. The tracing arrow appears once again as Jeong-Hun chose the Blue arrow, swinging his sword downwards and retreating.
Now it was clear.
The red arrows were meant for offensive maneuvers while the blue arrows were meant for defensive stances.
Furthermore, his attacks were amped up, dealing more damage than before. In that one move where he slammed the death knight, he damaged at least 50% of its health. Previously, an attack like this would probably only deal 16% of the Death Knight's health.
With no time to waste, he immediately eliminated the death knight with 3 slashes before it could get up again.

With that, he cleared the last creature from this floor. Awaiting at the end was a huge door that was covered in crystal carving.
The crystal carving was the shape of a rose and vines, which covered the entire door. It looked similar to how an old door was overgrown with ivy except that it was in crystals.
Lee Jeong-Hun proceeds to enter the door, pushing his body against the hard exterior that was the crystals. He pushed with all his might, opening a small crack, small enough for him to enter.
Bright light shines on his eyes as he blocks the direction where the light was shining.
The path ahead of him was a straight line to a throne. Everything in the room was pure white and made of crystals. Sitting on the throne was a skeleton, but not just any skeleton. A skeleton that was holding a staff and covered in a robe. His fingers were all filled with different types of rings while on his head was a gold crown. Signs of life slowly fill in his eyes as Jeong-Hun stepped further into the room.
[Lich King] was displayed at the top of the skeletons as Jeong-Hun stepped exactly 250 steps in.
"Shit." Lee Jeong-Hun cursed while staring at the figure in front of him. The skeleton stares and raised from his seat. It reaches his hand out and prepares to cast a spell.
Lee Jeong-Hun panics as he immediately cast defensive spells and buff spells on himself. He knew for a fact that he was not an opponent for the Lich King at all.
A Lich is a being who forsaken their own humanity for magical knowledge or immortality. They have incredible magic prowess that could decimate a country in minutes. They generally work alone and command other undead or beings to do their bidding. But one was enough to cause thousands to die.
However, there was a being on top of their hierarchy. A being that all liches answer to. The Lich King. A lich king is a being so powerful that there were no records of anyone left alive when encountered. It was basically meeting death itself.
And there was one in front of Lee Jeong-Hun now
Thousands of magic circles lay vertically and perpendicular to each other with Lee Jeong-Hun standing in the middle.
There was simply no escape. Jeong-Hun could feel the mana distortion in the air. He knew a large wave of mana is coming. Like an ant in the ocean, he was going to be swept along like nothing.
He closed his eyes and braced himself for impact.
*WWWRRRRRRREEEÈEEËĒĖEEEEEEE!!!!!*
A cry emerged out of nowhere with a high pitch so high that all the crystals in the room began to shatter. Jeong-Hun grabbed onto his ears trying to prevent himself from going deaf because of the cries as it continues for a while.
Opening one of his eyes, he stares at the Lich King as it suddenly stopped moving and starts looking around frantically.
Something was coming and the Lich King was scared of it.
"HAHAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!!!"
A maniacal laugh emerged from within the robes of the Lich King as he tries to get rid of it as soon as he heard the laughter. But alas, it was too late.
A hand engulfed in deep red flames emerged from the robes of the Lich King, and grabbed its head.
With no effort, the hand then shatters the skeleton's head like it was nothing.
The Lich King was killed instantly.
However, due to the Lich King possessing a large quantity of mana, this caused the mana to spread around in the air, causing everything it touches to be corrupted with its mana. That includes Lee Jeong-Hun, which was having the effect of mana poisoning in his body.
Mana Poisoning occurs when an excessively large dense amount of mana lingered around an area, it corrupts and poisons all that was in the vicinity. Unless someone or something can absorb that ridiculous amount of mana or purify the area with holy magic, the magic will continue to affect everything, even seeping through the soil or walls of the area, making it a death zone where everything dies when it comes in contact with the area. It was very similar to how a high-radiation area would kill any living thing stepping in it.
The figure that emerged from the robes then twist and tear his way out of the robe. With the Mana Poison taking effect on Lee Jeong-Hun, he was not able to see the creature slowly make his way out.
The creature then took out something that suddenly absorbed all the mana in the surrounding in an instance like a vacuum, which cleared the poison effect on Jeong-Hun.
As Jeong-Hun tries to open his eyes, he was face to face with a face.
More accurately, it was a pumpkin that was carved that he was facing.
"Hohh. That's a pretty handsome face if I ever saw one."
Jeong-Hun immediately retrieves his sword and shifts backward, securing a safe distance between him and the being.
The being whose hand was holding on to the pumpkin's head sticks it back to where its neck was, flames start emerging from within the pumpkin and essentially the entire body of the being was emitting deep red flames.
"A careful one I see." The carved pumpkin head laughs while smiling at Jeong-Hun with the flames within it igniting along as he asks.
There was a title written at the top of the Pumpkin's head as Jeong-Hun used [Observation].
Above, it wrote:
[Jack-Ó-Lantern]
