Chapter 9: The 'Commander'

Chapter 9: The 'Commander'

Meanwhile... In eagle country. The country where Anon lived. The president was sitting in a meeting with the real 'controller'. This man was known as the 'commander'. His identity was shrouded in mystery. All that was known about him was that he survived the 'white room experiment'.

This was an effort by the government to produce super soldiers and secret agents. The fatality rate wasn't simply high. Every single participant and vatgrown child.

Except one...

Were slaughtered in the test and experiments. But it wasn't what you would expect. This 'program' was highly competitive. The children were not raised like normal humans. A single one of them could handle fighting ten full grown man at once. This might not be supernatural. But the government had learned the 'limit' of humans.

This experiment was funded with one purpose. It was suppose to create a 'perfect' human. Humans naturally have six senses. taste, smell, vision, hearing, touch, and proprioception.

Proprioception simply allowed one awareness of their parts in space.

The experiements main goal wasn't to give birth to a 'commander' at all. The government was schemed at by their own creation and through a battle of wit. The 'commander' became the real ruler of this land.

The 'winner' of this cold experiment wasn't simply skilled in combat. They were an expert in strategy and broke the human limit. There was a theory given by the scientist and researchers about this 'commander'.

They believed he had the 'seventh sense'.

This was a perception of danger. The commander could dodge bullets with his eyes closed. It was basically impossible to approach him with ill-intent.

His location wasn't known by anybody. It was an impossible feat to assasinate him. He was like the eternal ruler of the land. All they could hope for was a natural death.

This 'seventh sense'.

This is why he survived the white room experiment and climbed to the top of life. Despite being a labrat that could only follow orders. He became the one giving out orders.

Once he stepped out of the lab into the real world. It was like giving a tiger wings. He became unstoppable. The public thought that everything was still a democracy. There were still elections. But once the president was given the nuke codes. They would get the 'privledge' to meet the commander.

His name was originally just a number. One of many.

Nobody knew what to call him as he had ordered every scientist that worked on that project to death row. They were all executed. After he became the commander. He destroyed all data and information regarding the white room experiment. It was a myth among the higher-ups.

Even the tycoons only knew the commander as a being that was like legend. Nobody knew what he spent all his time doing. He didn't need to notify security to enter the premises where the president lived. By himself and seemingly without any help. He was able to sneak into government buildings for 'meetings'.

Even the most secured rooms in the world seemed normal to him. This caused some suspicioun and curiosity towards him. But it was nearly impossible to gain a meeting.

This was only his second meeting with this president. He normally was very hands off. So the president was a bit nervous.

The commander threw a tablet onto the table. He then said a few words:

"It isn't connected to any network. Read."

The president was confused. But turned on the tablet and looked through the reports.

"15 people killed. 73 people injured."

"Over a hundred became homeless..."

The president didn't know why the commander was interested in this? It seemed to just be a destroyed apartment complex. So he asked with a bit of hesitation.

"You don't have a high enough authority."

"I want this plot of land put under level 5 restrictions. Capture any person or thing you see 'alive'. Feel free to use 'that'."

"I am also taking over the rest of the military temporarily for now. Something has caught my interest."

The president realized something HUGE! What could gain the attention of this mysterious perfect human? He immediately planned to secretly research into this incident.

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

What caused it? Every single person that lived in that complex. He needed a file on his desk in the next ten minutes! The government couldn't ignore 'orders' from the commander. If they did, they would not live long and everything would go into chaos.

He didn't simply control the nukes. But he knew about experiments so inhumane that he could release a ground shaking secret every day for a year.

The president blinked and the commander was gone!

The commander squinted his eyes. He had his own people and it was not needed to bring this attention to the government. But he couldn't do things so quietly this time. He was a genius and trapping those dumber then himself was easy. He had already taken into account that his attention would trigger an extensive investigation.

But that was part of his plan.

He sighed as he thought what he had felt.

The truth was.

The commander really did 'unlock' the seventh sense. But he hadn't stopped there. He had also unlocked the eigth and ninth sense. He hadn't felt threatened in many years.

But all of a sudden he felt some force that could threaten him. He prepared countermeasures and was planning to go all out to destroy this enemy.

But someone beat him to it.

The 'feeling' of danger disappeared. But he remembered the general location. He had the area investigated and found that it was previously a apartment complex. But some sort of explosion. Not one like a bomb. Something different.

It had destroyed the surrounding area. He knew right away this must have been the threat he felt. But who could've solved this? Was there another 'perfect' human hidden among the populace? What were the odds?

He had control of the eagle country. But his control didn't extend to the projects in the panda or dragon country. He had heard rumours that they were STILL doing the white room experiment.

But he didn't care.

He felt he was one of a kind. He had secretly grown clones of himself using his DNA. But they were unable to even unlock the seventh sense. He was clearly unqiue! One of a kind...

So who was strong enough to handle a threat?

He came to two conclusions based on the data.

The first theory he had was that it was someone like him. Some damaged person who survived a genocidal experiment. But that didn't make sense. He had scanned through all foreign imports and migration. Everything was as clean as it could be.

An illegal alien? Why would someone with his ability need to hide themselves?

This thinking made him realize something a little scary.

"A person that has awakened some form of ability."

The commander then just needed to think about the source of this ability and acquire it for himself. That was if there was no unfortunate symptoms or illnesses in a package with it.

He could always test it using the resources of the government.

The government worked fast. Soon the entire area had been blocked off and prevented entry to nearly everyone. The commander walked unnoticed by the military.

This wasn't invisibility. It was an application of his eighth sense. He could make others not notice his presence. It was like an extreme version of holding your breathe.

He did this by controlling and manipulating his pheremones. It wasn't a supernatural power. The control over his body was on a completely different level.

He then noticed something wrong right away.

"My ninth sense is tingling..."

"Something is wrong with this space. Something is here..."

"But what is it?"

The commanders mind worked at lightning speed and he instantly pieced together what happened.

"The subject is a normal person. Due to an abnormal state in space. They were awakened somehow. The mechanism may be hidden among this rubble."

The commander left the place as soon as possible. He felt a tiny bit of danger from the weirdness of this space. He wasn't one to take risk.

He then received a call. He didn't use an ordinary phone and it was almost impossible to contact him. The only reason he recieved this call was due to the research team.

"A 'gateway' opened up in the panda country?"

"Interesting..."

The commander thought about it.

"It may be that this is a type of revival. Maybe the stability of our world is finally weakening. Allowing more supernatural things to happen. But there is still too much unknown. The first person that awakened. What did they experience? What powers did they unlock?"

"Can it be replicated?"

The commander felt this individual was something he hadn't dealt with in a long time. He was used to treating every human as a precise chess piece. They had emotions and were easy to manipulate. Because they all lacked somethng important.

Power!

But this person had some mysterious power. Not only did the commander not know what he was capable of. But he needed to refresh his position in the world.

If a 'aura' revival or collision of worlds was to really to happen. Things would become too chaotic. But the commander smiled.

"It is beginning..."

"This is going to be fun!"

The commander didn't plan on going to panda country. Even with his nine senses honed. It was too dangerous. He had made too many enemies.

"In this battle between world's or the race to super powers."

"I alone will become the winner..."

The commander thought back to when he was a toddler. That was when he had killed his first man. It was a special force soldier. This was an action that would forever change his fate. He gained many resources from such a feat and paved the way to the top of the experiment.

But he became like a shining sun in space. The planets orbiting around him all knew of his greatness. But those that went too close got burned. Those too far away were just cold rocks.

When it came to relationships. The commander was a manipulator behind the scenes. He soon got some information sent to his phone.

"There were 88 people at the scene. But no eye-witnesses?"

"There are no recordings either."

"This is a bit abnormal."

"Despite my preparations. I never expected such a development."

The commander wasn't talking about what you might think. He was worried about the emergence of super powers in the world. But he couldn't remember the last time he felt such emotions.

'Worried'

'Axiety'

'Anticipation'

His heart throbbed and he felt as if he wasn't the killing machine he had become. He felt like a kid on their birthday. He wondered what such a development would provide him.

Perhaps he could truly become eternal and invulnerable. Immortal and unkillable...

Soon the commander was scrolling through the history of those who rented in that complex.

"Anon..."
