Chapter 29: Gravediggers

Chapter 29: Gravediggers

"I'm finally free!"

Anon laughed like a madman.

What did Anon decide to do with his freedom? He first decided to learn about the 'feeling' he had when he broke past the superposition state in the void.

"It seems to be another soul relic..."

Anon looked deep within himself. He felt a feeling similar to his storage space. But it was on a completely different scale. It was as if he could teleport!

Anon soon tried to use this power.

But within an instant. All of the animaxiom stored in his soul was gone! It was already mostly used up from breaking past the barrier.

"I know nothing about this world. Whether that be language, culture, or if there are even other people in this world."

"The first thing I need to do is-"

Anon noticed something in an instant!

"My animaxiom! It is recovering at a faster speed..."

Before it recovered at a rate of 1% an hour.

Now it was recovering at twice that speed! Anon had planned to meditate in isolation to inject more animaxiom into his body to be prepared against all threats.

"This time. I'll construct a base to live in..."

Anon originally chose a cave in his last 'session' of accumulating animaxiom in his body. This time, since he was in wilderness and didn't even know the existence of other entities.

He planned on building himself a house.

His control over his 'anima manipulator' was far stronger then the past. He looked at the trees all around. Not to mention, he could even cut through stone using his energy!

Despite his animaxiom recovering twice as fast. His capacity hadn't increased at all. Anon walked through the wilderness for a few days.

He eventually found a mountain with a great view.

He then used his energy to cut down trees into logs. It was almost as if he had telekinesis. His storage space was still one cubic meter. So he couldn't store much in it.

He couldn't control animaxiom too far from his body. So he had to still do some of the heavy lifting. But Anon's body was a bit bizarre and strong ever since going through 'deification'.

If he hadn't been trained by Ayil and learned acrobatics. Perhaps his body would've been stuck in a mediocre state. But now his body had an impossibly perfect physique.

No worse then a martial artist from legends.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

Anon dug up the foundation of his house. He created bricks by cutting stone into cubes. He soon constructed himself a home that didn't actually look that bad.

It wasn't very amazing. It also wasn't too big. It consisted of a single meditation room and that was it. The main function it had and the reason he made it in the first place was just so he wouldn't be bothered by the elements as he meditated.

His meditating sessions would last for years. It was annoying to go through the cycles of the seasons.

Anon then had a rather weird idea. His thinking was a bit abnormal after all.

"I'll bury myself alive!"

Anon had long confirmed that he didn't need to even breathe after going through deification. In combination with not needing to eat or sleep. Why not bury himself alive?

Not only would he be hidden. But he could ignore the outside world completely. Soon Anon had carved a tombstone.

'Here lies a legend...'

He had put the tombstone in the yard of his home.

Anon laughed at himself and then got in the coffin he had made. He then used animaxiom to collapse the ground burying him alive.

"Not to spacious..."

Anon then began the process of injecting animaxiom into his body. With double the recovery speed. It was a much faster process.

Within a hundred hours.

He had gained 2,000 points!

Within a decade...

He had surpassed his previous limits!

He noticed something weird. The capacity of his body seemed to have increased!

The maximum was originally 878,000 points. Now it had stopped at exactly a million points! Maybe this was due to him reviving so much?

Anon didn't leave his coffin however. He kept trying to break his limits!

After 25 more years of trying to increase his limits and still remaining at a million points. Anon didn't take the initiative to leave. But he could hear a noise.

Someone was digging!

Anon's senses were extraordinary and he could even faintly here them talking.

"htaed ni hcir si 'dnegel' siht yllufepoH!"

"...daed eht morf bor ot aedi dab a si tI"

"!ybab a eb t'noD"

Anon's eyes were still covered with his blindfold. After a few more minutes. His coffin was opened up.

"!devreserp yltcefrep si esproc ehT !lleh eht tahW"

The person reached for Anon's blindfold.

Anon grabbed their hand.

"For ten thousand years... I lay dormant!" Anon stood up from the coffin and muttered a few words.

"Thank you!"

The person tried to break away from Anon's grasp. He couldn't understand a single word Anon said!

"!og em teL" The man screamed.

Anon's eyes twitched.

"So there are real people in this world. A couple of grave diggers eh?"

The person then shouted:

"!dnecseD ssenkraD"

Anon was then surprised. He lost all his senses. He couldn't see or hear or feel anything. It felt even more incredible then being in the phantom zone of the gateway.

"How interesting!"

Anon unfortunately had 'true vision' and 'extraordinary sense'. Even when blinded and unable to see the world. He wasn't truly blind. But the surprise had made him release the mans arm.

They tried to run away. But Anon was simply too fast.

He appeared behind the man that had blinded him and slapped him on the neck. He had learned this move from Ayil. He perfectly injected animaxiom at just the right areas to paralyze them temporarily.

The other man saw this and ran even faster. But Anon could run at 150 kilometers an hour. There was no escaping him! Soon both of them were paralyzed on the ground. Their eyes reflected their horror.

"How do I learn the language?" Anon had used a few tricks to learn the dragon language. But this was a completely different beast. It was an entirely new world!

He looked deep within his consciousness for consumed soul fragments. His senses soon returned to him.

"It seems that effect isn't permanent. Good."

"If only I had a way to read minds..."

"Wait!"

"The fifth seal! 'Divine Sense' allows one to project their consciousness outside of their body. If I can unlock it. I can read their minds and learn the language of this world!"

But Anon had spent over 35 years in this world and hardly accomplished anything at all in that time. A majority was spent buried underground!

"I guess. I'll have to get them to teach me!"

"But how do I go about this?"

Anon then thought about his 'anima ward'.
