The Legend of Axiom
Chapter 6: Custom Clothes

Chapter 6: Custom Clothes

Anon thought about it clearly. He needed to make a costume for his axiom state. But he couldn't exactly comission one from someone else. He needed something of high-quality and it needed to be done discreetly.

Luckily, within his mind was a a fraction of a fraction of the knowledge of a universe. He had centuries of experience of extreme techology. Just like how he made the module for his phone to be able to detect universal stability in a given area. He also had random skills gained from his years of digesting soul fragments.

You could say that he was a jack of trades, but a master of none. This was due to the language barrier between civilizations. There were already so many different languages on his planet. These evolved with different cultures. Now imagine the weirdness of an entirely alien world.

Anon could barely understand the knowledge despite living it through soul consumption. But thanks to his 99% soul and body harmony. He had precise control over his body.

While his body lacked the training of a professional. His overall dexterity in his hands and muscles were far above that of a normal human. This in combination with his memories made things far more feasible.

For example. He had the memories of cosplayers and film costume designers imprinted in his mind. When he was in his domain. He didn't think of being in this situation. He had just worried about reviving and creating his perfect soul. So he didn't remember much of the knowledge regarding costume design.

Anon though about the materials he would use. He wanted it to be durable and light. Although he could fly. If he carried too much weight. It would increase his energy consumption.

While his base form was had essentially limitless energy. His axiom state lacked the foundation of his real body. It ran off of energy generated from his fake artifact mixed with the spiritual energy he had consumed from the weak point in reality.

Anon thought about the material he would use to build his clothes.

There were three options he considered.

Polyester

Ballistic nylon

Kevlar

Polyester was a synthetic fiber. It was highly durable and resistant to wrinkles. While it wasn't really water-proof. It could be said to be slightly water resistant. If you applied waterproof coating to it. It could become so.

It would trap heat and probably be a little uncomfortable however.

The thing he liked about this material was the price.

He could buy a square meter online for a mere $8. This wasn't enough to make his entire suit however. He also didn't know if he would be making his mask out of fibers or metal.

Ballistic nylon was a much harder material to work with. He would need to rent out a factory again and it would need to be one with a special laser. But the protection provided could prove to be crucial.

The price was a bit higher however. It was about $30 for a square meter. The thinkness was only about half a millimeter though. So he would likely need to buy a lot... because it was a single layer fabric. This was also the case with polyester. But the thickness of polyester was about one millimeter. But polyester came in over ten different sizes. So he could just buy a thicker one.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

Then there was Kevlar...

A square meter would cost him almost $80... The thickness also varied. But if you layered them. This type of material could absorb the force of an attack and stop projectiles. All of these materials could do the same if layered and weaved the correct way.

Anon then realized an issue as he looked at the online shop. If he bought these materials to make his suit. He would be using his real banking information.

Then when he showed up in public. Despite having a disguise. They might be able to recognize the material and discover his purchase history in a investigation.

Do not underestimate the investigation ability of a modern society.

Anon's behavior of maxing out his credit cards and renting a factory while weird. He hadn't shown supernatural power yet in reality. So there was nobody currently looking into his background.

But Anon's visit and recovery in the hospital. His bizarre speed at work. Getting fired. Becoming homeless. His apartment complex exploding. These couldn't all be coincidences. If someone were to look into his background.

They might discover his 'date'. The day he returned from his domain. They might be able to piece together that he was Axiom! Anon didn't want to see this happen. He couldn't maintain that form for too long and he was vulnerable in his human state. He didn't want to become a lab rat or a prisoner just so humanity could study his power.

Anon transformed into his axiom state and turned invisible. He then walked through the walls of his apartment into another person's.

The person was playing a popular game on their gaming computer. Anon looked at their tag name and then leaned near there ear and said:

"#SlayerKing78!"

The person stopped typing on the computer and looked around in a panic.

"Who's there!"

"It is I... remember that time. You were playing a round? Then you told me to kill myself?"

"No... It couldn't be!?"

Anon had to stop himself from laughing. He had really just made a guess. It was not uncommon for players of this game to be quite toxic.

"I followed your advice! Now I will haunt you for all of eternity and bring you down to the depths of hell when you die!"

The person stood up and bowed with tears in their eyes.

"I promise to never do it again! I swear!"

"It is too late. What is done cannot be undone."

"It is time for me to drag you to the afterlife!"

"Nooooo!"

"But... I'll give you a chance!"

"...Really?"

Anon then told him the materials he needed. Since it wasn't his money either way. He had a lot of layers of Kevlar and Ballistic nylon ordered.

The person was really confused. Why would a ghost be interested in this?

The person also wondered how a ghost would even take such things with him to the afterlife. But he was too scared to care. He felt a coldness. He knew this ghost was in the same room with him. But he couldn't see them! They were clearly the real deal.

He ordered everything this 'ghost' asked for and then asked how he would give it to him. Anon obviously had a storage space. He could just directly take the items into it.

Anon then thought that he wouldn't need to rent out facilities to make his clothing. He could just sneak into them using his axiom state. He was feeling more and more that his 'declaration' on his fake artfifact:

"I am Axiom!"

He felt it was quite worth it

Now that he had the materials in his storage space. He just needed the tools. Luckily, he could just research the manufacturing locations for clothes and use their resources to make his outfit.

He was a little excited to be able to wear his own custom designed clothes.

Because of the high quality of materials. He decided to make two outfits. He could just keep a spare in his storage space. There wasn't too much room and it would be stupid to have proof in reality that he was Axiom.

He wasn't some rich superhero that could have a secret hideout underneath his mansion. He lived in an apartment and even lacked the various necessities.

"Now I just need to think about the design of the helmet or mask..."

Anon also thought that he was sort of hiding in plain sight. Since nobody would suspect him to leave traces to himself in the same apartment complex.

If people researched where the materials came from. They would find that it was from the person he tricked. If they interrogated him. They would only find out that he was a puppet in ordering those resources. All traces towards Anon were cut off.

The only thing he didn't worry about was if they would suspect others in the same building. It would have been safer to travel a few kilometers and trick someone else. But he felt it was unnecessary.
