Waking up early in the morning Samuel looked at the two Pokémon sleeping peacefully, Not wanting to wake them up, he quietly sat around a tree and wrote on his journal, writing about yesterday, how they were surprised by an Espeon, who happened to be Anya's friend. Samuel smiled, if the Espeon was willing to come with them, then the task they were hoping to achieve would be complete.

This Espeon wasn't a bad Pokémon at all Samuel thought, it was most likely extremely happy when it saw Anya and couldn't control itself. Samuel casually sketched what he saw, how the Espeon was laid on Anya's lap and Anya using her cutters to hug it closer to her own body.

Espeon was the first one to stir, it casually stretched on top of Anya and noticed that she was held quite tightly by Anya. She managed to wiggle out of Anya's grasp and her face met with Samuel, who still had a soft smile on his face. He said "Hey, sorry about yesterday" Espeon gave a nod in understanding and walked next to him, leaving Anya to rest in peace. "Thanks for being with Anya, she.. she has have quite rough days recently. I'm not sure if you noticed but she has been very lonely" The Espeons eyes glimmered and she stared at Samuel in surprise. "I'll take that as a no, she tell you about this trip?" the Espeon shook her head embarrassed, she had been wailing on her own problems the whole evening and didn't have any idea how Anya was doing herself, she felt like an idiot.

"Also a no... The point of this trip was to go to Viridian City and back along the edge of the forest to look for a friendly pokemon to be a companion to her" Espeon raised its head in curiosity and tilted it a bit, she had learned the gesture from Anya.

"No, not a 'MATE' but a friend she can talk to and play with" Espeon's ears perked and she smiled as she looked at Samuel's eyes.

"I, I was hoping you would be willing to be with her, I know she can be a handful sometimes but, she is as genuine being as one could be, even more than some humans I know of." he said and looked at Espeon, who was staring at him, their eyes met and Espeon's eyes glowed for a moment. She then jumped on top of Samuel's lap and laid there to rest, to show her trust and approval.

"Alright then, Espeon it is good to have you" he chuckled while carefully put her hand on top of the Espeon, there was no adverse reaction and Samuel gently pet her and she let him.

Later on that morning, Anya woke up, her back and butt ached, she really didn't like sleeping in an upright sitting position. She stretched about and looked around for Espeon, she noticed the split tails swaying calmly near Samuel and smiled. It was nice that she could trust an unknown human like that.

"Morning" said Samuel upon seeing Anya struggling to get up. He chuckled at her antics, the Espeon also stirred on his lap, stretched again and jumped of. Greeting Anya "Good morning" she said with a smile "Morning" Anya countered "So, found your human already?" she joked. "No" she shook her head "I already have my human, you" and she smiled. Anya was surprised "Fair enough" she shrugged "If I am human enough for you, I'll gladly accept this proposition" she said with a pompous flair, obviously acting in a jest.

"Sure, sure, whatever you say" Espeon answered with a smile. They both ended up laughing, Samuel just stared at them dumbfounded, not understanding anything that had happened.

"We should reach home before nightfall, We could also lift a ride with Dragonite, but I think it is not necessary" Samuel said

Soon the trio was on the move, Espeon was informing Anya that she would come with them, Anya was overjoyed and smiled. Now that Samuel had told her about her being lonely did she notice the small tells she had, like just being unnecessarily happy being told that she would be with them.

Espeon was reminded of the first days she had known Anya, how she was trying to look like everything was fine while with others, only for everything to crumble into nothingness when left alone.. She too was glad she could be with Anya, that has been the whole reason she was here after all.

They walked on for a while, Samuel leading the group and Anya and Espeon chatting a few steps behind him, talking about names. "I've been wanting to take a name, but couldn't really figure out what I wanted to be called."

"Huh, really? I figured you didn't need names" Anya said puzzled

"Yeah, about that, remember the small story you told about a lot of same Pokémon and not knowing which to talk about?" to which Anya puzzled a bit

"I, think?"

"Well, having over nine sets of paws of Ninetales' and trying to find the one we were with was a pain... me being the only Eevee in the whole group made me easily recognizable, but talking to many similarly smelling Ninetales is a nightmare... only to locate the one you need. Since then I have been wondering about names"

"I see, I do not really think I should give you your name, it would feel weird I think. I can help you narrow down or give you option though"

"That.. Should be enough" she said hesitantly "I already have some ideas"

"I was thinking of something 'Sun' themed initially"

"But?"

"Came to a conclusion, that I know nothing of the sun"

"Heh" Anya let out a laught

"What is so funny?"

"Nothing, just think its funny. I had once done research about my name too, the ones that stuck out most was Anya meaning limitless and favored by god. But I'm not entirely sure of the reason why my parents named me such"

"That is so cool! It's just like you too!" she said excited

"Enough about my name, you said you had some ideas about your name"

"... I lied, I really don't have anything. I tried thought" She answered sadly

"Aww, hmm, Did you know that the Sun is a star?"

"No?, I did not? isn't the sun the sun and the stars the stars?" she said puzzled

"Yes, and no. The sun is the closest star that is in the center of our solar system"

"Technically one could say that in every solar system the local stars could be called a sun, but I am not a space scientist so I have no real idea if it is true or not"

"But naming you after stars could be an option too as they are a sun somewhere"

Espeon's face was frozen as her brain tried to understand the meaning Anya had just said. After thinking for a while she said.

"No, I don't think I want my name like that..."

"I want something simple, catchy but unique all in one"

"Hmm" Anya thought

"What about Feysol or Faesol?" Anya voiced out

"Hmmh? What's that?"

"Fae or Fey meaning a mystical or supernatural and sol meaning sun"

"And it can be shortened to Fe? I like it already"

"From now on you may call me Faesol"

"Okay... Feef" said Anya jokingly and Faesol laughing happily at her new nickname

The rest of the way went uninterrupted as Anya and Faesol chatted to each other. Even if Samuel was starting to feel a bit left out.
