PoV: Samuel
This is madness, how can a single Pokémon survive for so long without ever fighting in the wilds. No matter how much I try to wrap my head around it, she must be hiding something, something important, that is the feeling I get.
I have been traveling the continent for years already, having seen many different areas, many different Pokémon, all of them ready for a fight the moment they see me. Fighting should be like instinct to them, yet why does she not know how? Even the breeding research program Pokémon had known how to fight without anyone teaching... Maybe a species trait? Not getting attacked but losing their own attacks in progress? No, that can't be, evident of the wild Growlithe attacking her that she write about. Quite peculiar.
I looked at the odd Pokémon, who was currently humming while knitting from a silk spool. She is resourceful, acting very human-like, never been a trained Pokémon, her pokeball just broke...
Maybe we should try to capture her again? We will have to try when we have to leave...
The humming stopped, I looked at her, she nodded and rose up.
Following her movement with my eyes, I now noticed that her steps have a bit of awkwardness in them, why? Part of her species to walk like that? maybe? Recently Evolved and still getting used to her new form? Unlikely, she didn't mention it on her note..
She went to the typewriter, and carefully used her cutters to press the keys to write something. A while later a ding sounded, a line was written. She stared at me, hoping I would come to her, which I did. I read the latest written line. I was surprised.
'I FEEL LONELY, NEED FRIEND TO TALK TO, ANOTHER POKEMON IF POSSIBLE NO GROWLITHE'
She looked at me expectantly.
Now, what was I supposed to answer. I hadn't really noticed her loneliness, but I really haven't been here for the past ten or so days... Growlithe? Trauma most likely?
My whole team doesn't work at all, from my understanding, they really can't stand other Pokémon for some reason, Dragonite being an exception. They all prefer to be in their balls all the time too.
"Okay" I said "But, it will take some time. My current Pokémon are all too big to fit inside comfortably." I lied, still, I saw the light in her eyes brighten.
Now, where would I get another Pokémon? and what species?
"So, What kind of Pokémon would you want?" I asked her, she started typing again.
'SHORTER THAN ME OR ABOUT MY HEIGHT' was the first sentence, I could understand.
'PREFERRABLY NOT A BUG, A FLYING, A POISON OR A FIRE TYPE' Bug-type was a surprise, but I was still content I could manage.
"Is there a specific Pokémon you would like to have as a friend?" I asked
'NOT REALLY, I' The typing paused for a moment 'WANT SOMEONE I CAN HUG OR CUDDLE WITH'
"Hmm, It will take some ti-" ding 'IF POSSIBLE...' "I'll see what I can do" a soft smile on my face.

PoV: Anya
That was embarrassing, I wish I could rewrite it, but these being typewriters and not a computer makes it quite difficult...
Well, what is done is done, at least he said he tries to look for a one. Hopefully it doesn't take too long.
------------------
It has already been a few weeks after Anya had asked for a friend. Samuel had kept his words and introduced Anya to a bunch of other Pokémon. At first Anya was happy to have someone to talk to but she quickly noticed that most of these Pokémon were missing something, a genuine spark of intelligence. These Pokémon were no doubt feral, caught straight from the nature.
The first one was a Rattata, who attacked her the moment she tried to start a conversation, before being recalled by Samuel.
They had tried four different Pokémon already and were visibly getting tired of these unfriendly ones.
Anya suggested that she should come with him, so she could at least show which one was worthy. Samuel accepted, he tried to put Anya inside a pokeball but for some reason it didn't react at all to her. They tried many pokeballs but none of them worked on her. They had to go outside without capturing her.

First they went to a store, where Samuel bought them some food and rations for the trip. Then they left the town. They had planned this trip for a few days beforehand, They were supposed to go along the forest towards Viridian, stay there for a day and come back. The trip was supposed to take a week per direction. They left early in the morning, edged the forest and walked in a casual but somewhat brisk pace.
During the trip, Anya tried to talk to many different Pokémon. But most of them being hyper aggressive towards her or running away at the first sight. Anya was really down after the first day around the campfire, the snow had all melted by now and the air was still fresh but had a hint of spring floating around.
"Well, that was what we were expecting right?" said Samuel sitting alongside her, making a stew over the fire and comforting his downcast friend. "We still have many days to go" Anya nodded and chirped, her voice down. "Cheer up will you, we will find you a friend, I promise! Here have a taste" he said happily and offered a spoon full of stew.
Anya Looked at the offered spoon and carefully took sip. It was too hot and had a minor taste of smoke in addition to the normal taste. 'the wonders of cooking in the wild' she thought.
-------------------
They arrived at Viridian City without success, they both were tired from the week long trek and immediately went to the local pokecenter and got themselves a room. They had to share as no one would believe a Pokémon wanting their own room. Anya had been too tired to actually complain and dragged herself to their new room, dropped her backpack and rummaged for a clean set of clothes.
Anya went to the bathroom, put her dirty clothes to the washing machine and took a quick shower. She impatiently waited for the washing machine to finish its speed program and put the now clean clothes on the drying rack provided in each room. She came out and noticed Samuel who was talking on the phone with someone. She overheard him say "Don't worry, we will figure something out, This is a nice change of pace from all the work I have been doing with my team." Someone answered him but Anya couldn't really hear what so she casually strolled to the bed and sat at its edge.
"Bathrooms free now, gotta go, bye" he said while closing the call and then turned towards Anya. "I know this seems bad but we'll find someone, not all Pokémon are 'feral' as you had said before" he said to her, Anya just nodded. "Sooo, we kinda have to share a bed. I hope it does not bother you too much" He grinned and went to take a shower.
Exiting the bathroom, Samuel noticed the sleeping form of Anya, not on the bed, but on a hammock made out of silk. 'I forgot about that' Samuel chuckled and went to the only bed in the room.
--------------------
Next morning, Samuel woke up well rested. The comfortable bed beating the hard ground 100 to 1. His eyes wandered the room and landed on the still resting form of Anya. He though of their past week, how Anya had gotten more used to walking and most of the awkwardness in her steps were gone. Only a small hint of it still remained when she walked on some surfaces. He had also noticed that Anya didn't really sleep that well in the wilds, she had always woken up before him every morning.
This was the first time he had really seen Anya's real sleeping form as she peacefully slumbered on her hammock. Her soft breathing being the only noise they could hear. Anya had once told him that she has had a recurring nightmare about a huge forest fire and her being trapped inside.
They haven't really communicated with each other that much during the trip. The typewriter being heavy and unwieldy as items go was left at home. Also Anya hadn't really begun selling her information either for some reason these past weeks.
There was an odd yawn before the hammock stirred and Anya propped her head over the edge, her sleepy eyes opening wide when she recognized that she had accidentally brought her face right in front of Samuel's. Samuel gently smiled "Good morning, Slept well?"
It took Anya a moment to clear her head and take a notice of the location they were in. She nodded and chirped a good morning too taking her head with her. She had slept with her clothes on and dropped down from the hammock and cautiously scrubbed the walls to remove the hammock without causing damage.
Samuel didn't see it yesterday but now he saw Anya's thick cord-like silk strands that were being carefully detached from the wall. He leaned closer to see her technique better.
He was too slow as Anya had quickly done her job and packed the hammock silk inside her backpack and went to the bathroom. It still looked unnatural to Samuel's eyes no matter how much he had seen her, The clothes she was wearing and the backpack on her back made her look like any other human if not for her green and yellow coloured head.
He imagined her wearing a dress that almost reaches the ground to hide her feet, a hood covering her head and a mask to hide her face. He thought, 'If only she could just talk, then...' he couldn't even finish the though as his body shuddered.
Finishing at the bathroom she came out and looked at Samuel who had dressed up from his nightshirt to his 'trainer clothes' as he would call them. They were a brown leathery jacket and dark green cargo pants. "You ready?" he said
"We have the whole Viridian City to explore" a smirk rose on his face and Anya smiled and nodded her spirit lifted.
