Tiffany: Max's powers?

Ken: Max's ability to electrocute things. If he electrocutes a spider robot, he shortcircuits the mainframe of all the nanobots at once.

Luke: So you're saying....

Ken: That Max is our best chance at beating them? Yes.

Tiffany flinched. The last thing she wanted to hear was her needing to put Max in more danger.

Rose: Oh my gosh. Max, did you hear that?

Max: Hmph. Naturally.

Rose giggled at his response.

Luke: Alright then....

Luke smashed even more bots under his foot.

Luke: ... we could use your help down here.

Max: Alright. I'm on my way.

Max looked around to make sure nothing was wrong as Roy started his car and then zipped away.

Roy: Thank you, my good....

But Max had already gone and left him in the area.

Roy: Oh. How rude!

This was it. Max rushed almost excitedly towards all of them.

Max: Alright, Rose, that was the last one.

Rose: Hmph.

Rose finally opened the van's back door and walked into the fray, quickly using her psychic powers to send several bots flying.

Luke and Tiffany: Rose!

Rose: Hmph. I've got your backs.

Luke: Heh. Thanks.

Luke and Tiffany instinctively walked to Rose's left and right. The spider bots approached them from all directions.

A whizzing sound was heard before Max finally appeared before them. He stood in front of all of them, much to Tiffany's displeasure.

Max: Ok then. I'm here.

The bots all changed their focus to Max, and Tiffany rushed to his side.

Tiffany: Hey.

Max: Huh

Tiffany readied her blade.

Tiffany: Be careful, ok?

Max: Yeah. Don't worry, Tiff. I've got this.

She was thinking too much to consider correcting him.

Luke and Rose approached them as Max prepared his first strike.

Max: Alright, you spider bots, get ready for this!

Max fired a bolt that sent one flying instantly before it convulsed and fell apart.

Rose: No way.

Luke: He really can do it!

Rose: Uh huh.

Ken: I see. So it is effective.

Max: Hmph.

Luke cracked his knuckles.

Luke: Keep it up. We'll keep em busy.

Luke turned to Rose, who nodded back and to a distracted Tiffany who didn't look back at him.

Luke: Tiff?

Tiffany: Oh. Sorry. Yeah. Let's go.

The three of them immediately charged the enemy while Max, one by one, blasted at the spider bots.

More robots started to charge after Max having witnessed that, but between Luke's smashing, Tiffany's cutting and Rose's crushing them together by pushing them back, they had no way of stopping them.

Ken: I think you're doing it. So far, fifty of them have been completely destroyed.

Max: Just fifty?

Ken: Yes. About 450 to go.

Max: 450!

That number was quite a shock to him as he was already starting to get tired.

Max: Sheesh!

Rose: Max? Are you ok?

Max: Yeah, I've got this.

Tiffany: Don't tire yourself out.

Max: I know. I know. I just need a refill.

Max lay his hand out, and an odd bluish and sparkling vapour began to come out of two of the robo spiders.

Rose: Woah. Pretty.

Luke: Yeah.

Tiffany simply watched silently.

The blue vapour was then absorbed by Max's hand. He smirked while the two bots simply fell apart.

Max: Pretty cool, huh?

Rose: Yeah, super cool.

Luke: Yeah, how'd you do that?

Max: (playfully) Just one of my many talents.

He then fired more bolts at the spider bots.

Max: I can keep this up all day. Hmph.

Ken: (thinking: I'd forgotten about the fact that he could simply absorb electricity from robots. Heh. Go figure.)

Luke and Rose watched him for a moment before going on to continue bashing the bots with Tiffany, who was still cutting them down.

Tiffany: Ken! How much longer till you can shut them down?

From inside the van, while trying to make heads and tails of the spider bots, Ken did the maths.

About 50 robots destroyed in this short period of time. He also calculated what he could assume was his teams stamina, as well as the fact that several bots were still in X-corp and had not come down yet.

Per his calculations, they could pull it off. Though it would be pushing it. Especially considering the fact that the bots seemed to have changed targets from X-corp to them and seemed to be coming down at a faster pace.

Tiffany: Ken?

Ken: (thinking: Perhaps it's about time I made an appearance.)

He was just about to get up and head for the fight when all of a sudden, he saw a peculiar file opening onto the broken robot.

Operation: Amalgamate activated.

Ken: What in the world is amalgamate?

He turned back to the screen and searched it up.

What he found was enough to make him flinch immediately.

Ken: (thinking: What a fiendish use for the nanobots! I never would have imagined.)
