Chapter 33, H.O.T.D 2 FINAL

Li Shuaixi, or Shuai as his comrades of Team Japan knew and called him by after this Chinese youth traveled to Japan for studies. Shuai was born into a rather well off and distinguished family. He could even be called a young master despite how he normally interacted around others without ever thinking himself above others and had always carried himself with an aura of air who went along for the ride.

The reason Shuai acted so differently than his peers who felt they were entitled and above those financially not well off was due of his Father. Shuai in the beginning as a child thought of his Father as a strict and no nonsense man, but above all honorable and respectable as he had always taken image and his actions at work in a multi million dollar cooperation with the upmost seriousness. Shuai's father had also told his son to always think of the family whenever he was to leave home, so as a child Shuai did indeed feel some distance between him and his Father, but he was alright with it till he learned of a single truth.

His Father was two faced.

As Shuai grew up, becoming smarter and wiser he realized a few things about his family and especially his Father who he had always thought was so great and honorable. From a loud and intense argument between his Father and Mother when he was twelve Shuai learned that his oh so strict and honorable Father was having a affair. No, affair was too light a word for it and nor was it singular. His Father in secret had two other families, with both wives and young children away from the public eye. From what Shuai figured out from bits and pieces from future arguments the problem wasn't that he had other families. Although more than a little upset about the matter, his Mother was an accepting woman. She knew the status of the man she were to marry from the beginning and understood such people never thought rules of marriage applied to them. Shuai's mother could live with her husband having two other families just fine and deep down always thought no matter the shape or form family came first, so a harem was no big deal once she got other the initial shock (Shuai always wondered why his mother a while back threw away his father's prized golf clubs signed famous pro golfers). She would accept wives and children of her husband if given the time and chance to, but she was never allowed the opportunity.

Shuai's Father would rather die than allow the public to know he had other families. The house both he and Shuai were born in was one where honor, image, and family were more than just a little important. They were everything. They even used their distinguished family name to look down on others and draw in those who had similar beliefs. For some families it wasn't that big of a deal and it was the norm to have affairs, but not his family.

Even just a rumor of affairs and other families would become a huge scandal enough to damage his father both publicly and financially. That's why Shuai's father was adamant about this secret from ever getting out. He had even used a fake name and occupation when dealing with his mistresses and bastard children (Author: "Needed a strong word here. That's all.") so it would never get back to him.

Learning all this growing up Shuai lost respect for his father from then on, but it didn't end their. After entering high school Shuai had many opportunities to shadow his father at work. Shuai was always expected to take over the family business which has prospered for over ten generations after all, but he couldn't believe his eyes once he joined his father at work. His Father's generation could be said to be the most prosperous, but there was a good reason for this. He lied, cheat, and steals. In Shuai's grandfather's generation and before that, they all the heads of the family did business honestly and were very successful, but after his own father took over the company changed and he saw how firsthand. His father would steal information for bids, bribe government officials with both money and women, and even used the threat of violence and death on his competitors. Of course, he always did these things without it ever coming back to him and if anyone suspected him of anything there were always loyal subordinates he could use to take the blame.

Shuai was fed up with his family and Father by the time he finished his high school education and about to enter college. Especially knowing his Father was already planning to groom Shuai in his ways of business and had chosen a school for him for college, but to his surprise coming to his aid was his mother. Her spirit had been drained from spending years with a man who betrayed her in so many ways, yet she always loved the son she had with the man and knew he never wanted to follow in her husband's footsteps. Shuai's mother convinced his Father that Shuai going abroad for his education would not only round him out, but look good as well to their peers. The Father agreed and allowed Shuai to travel to Japan to further his studies. With that settled Shuai was off, but before he did he sincerely thanked his mother and left for Japan.

Shusi: "Thank you, mother. You arranged this because you knew what I planned to do and you're right. I have no intention of coming back home and be groomed by that scum of a man. I checked, but he doesn't even provide much for his other families. He even has a daughter in a wheelchair who gets sick a lot, yet did not go as far as he could have to give her the best life possible. I won't be coming back to be like him and I'll rather become a monk or shaman than do so. This is good bye Mother... and I love you. I know you never did because of your pride, but if you can divorce him it'll be great."

Shuai left those parting words and never looked back.

Littered all over the ground were the bodies of both humans and undead alike. Everyone had just engaged in fierce combat, but once the Z3 was vanquished by Shin and Hikari, the soldiers of the human side were easily able to suppress the zombies still fighting. Without the organizational ability of the Z3, even the 1-2 thousand evolved zombies couldn't put up much of a fight against a organized army of soldiers. Especially one which included Enhancers with each man and woman armed with magic bullets. Once the Z3 fell, it's minions all too easily fell not long after. The soldiers had unfortunately lost over 500 comrades during the class with the evolved zombies, but each and every survivor were able to proudly say they had won and all shouted a victory cry. Obviously Shin and Hikari who had went ahead to chase after the Z3 had succeed in slaying the monster. This meant back in Tokonosu City and their comrades chasing after the other group of undead into the mountains would now have a easier time wiping out all the zombies who dared to invade their home. The soldiers cried out loudly in cheers, and even Shuli who was supporting everyone underground with Gnome rose to the surface thinking that everything was okay.

This was a fatal mistake.

A tall man was staying perfectly still thousands of meters away. He was lying in wait in the shadow of a rooftop building. Without breathing and even slowing down the flow of blood through his veins with the intention of avoiding all forms of detection. This man stayed perfectly still till the notification of the Z3's defeat and that now three random members of his team would be erased. Once he heard the notification he opened his eyes and locked in on the location where most of the fighting was taking place from a distance.

He had also heard the notification of three of his comrades dying as well, but he could care less about that. Alongside Sakura, he was the one who orchestrated his sides defeat and left Hanif and the Z3 unprotected. His plan to make it look like Team Japan had nearly wiped out his own Team Kenya so he could remain in God's Dimension had succeed. Now all that was left to do was secure his own path of survival. Badru now finally stood up and with the Second Stage resumed the normal speed of blood flow through his body. After ten seconds power was slowly returning to his flesh, yet he had consumed a lot of stamina from depriving his body of oxygen for so long.

Badru: "This can't take too long. I hope the first one I find is unlocked, or I will have to go out looking for a second Player of his team, but I hope I don't have to. They'll all support his survival in the future and... even I'll start feeling bad for him!"

With a smile across his face, Badru with the Second Stage began to channeling power into his legs. His legs expanded by three times their normal and with 80% of his power the earth started to crack under his feet. Next, Badru channeled his Demonic Power as well... and his legs started to dye into a deep red pigment. A surge of strange and monstrous force surpassing his full 100% power ran through his legs, and he jumped. The force of the jump crushed the entire rooftop of the building and propelled him far and high into the air till he was above the soldiers cheering for their victory. Badru then began to fall down and channeled that strange and monstrous energy from his legs to his right arm now dyed a red pigment.

Badru: (Rebellion!)

Badru tightened his right fist as he fell and punched behind him. The air physically shook from this action and launched him down much faster. The first and only one down below to realize something was wrong was Shuai. Shuai looked up feeling a gaze burrowing down on him, and seeing Badru he immediately entered the First Stage and had Gnome by his side make a tunnel for them to escape through the earth. Shuai felt stupid for revealing himself even though Shin especially warned him that Badru was likely to be still nearby, but knowing Gnome was always watching the vibrations of the earth for him he let his guard down. There was no time to warn the others and so Shuai and Gnome abandoned the soldiers and escaped alone underground.

Badru: "Hahaha! No you don't. Molecular Fist!!!!"

As Badru reached the earth he added his family's unique ability into his right fist swinging down at the earth, and upon contact with the ground all sound ceased. In that moment of silence all voices and sounds of all those nearby were blown away. For those who saw Badru fall to the earth they felt their time compress and images of the lives they lived so far past through their eyes. They were all experiencing the unique event that came before one thing and one thing only.

Death.

- *EXPLOSION*!!!

Badru's fist struck the earth. The pure force of a demonic god of destruction swept up the land, air, and all those nearby in one large blast spanning hundreds of meters in all directions. Over 400 soldiers were instantly killed in the blast. Crushed from a powerful shock wave crushing every bone in their bodies and internal organs turning to jello. Those that were left alive who didn't die instantly would either soon be joining their fallen comrades from terrible injuries, or would survive but live as cripples for the remainder of their lives. Even Grim Ash off to the side was blown to pieces with its bones crushed and was immediately recalled back to the underworld. As for Shuai and Gnome... they didn't escape. The impact of Badru's fist crushed the earth and caved in a deep craters spanning for dozens of meters wide and deep. It was as if they were hit with the concentrated force of a small quack. Gnome was instantly torn apart and recalled back into the embrace of mother earth.

Badru: "There we... go! Huh? How the hell are you still... I see. So that's how. Hahaha! I was beginning to lose confidence in my power!"

Badru reached deep into the earth to pull out a mangled Shuai. Almost every bone in his body was broken, but he had lived from the impact of Molecular Fist, and was even still holding onto his Evil Sealing Staff of Earth. This wasn't due to luck, but a magic item on his person. Summoner's Ring of Earth. It was a familiar enhancing accessory that had a secondary ability to sacrifice the life of the familiar to save the master just once. That is what happened in the case of Shuai and Gnome. Badru confirmed this from seeing the now shattered ring on Shuai's finger. Once the sacrifical ability of the ring was used just once, the item would break.

(Author: "Changed the original description because this was cooler. If Zhttty can do crap like that so can I.")

Badru: "...Among that guys comrades it was definitely a good idea to get rid of you. The power you used to move the earth on such a scale... is frightening. Especially so since you appear to be only at the First Stage and your Gnome was still at the rank of Lowest Level Elemental. Combine that with Shin and that silver monster wolf, I may not be able to kill you all in the future if you all grow stronger in enhancements, Genetic Constraint Stage, and self-created abilities. Don't blame me. If you were a much more developed summoner with a higher unlocked stage, I may have chosen to make you my prey in the future rather than him. Blame your own misfort-"

Badru was interrupted. Shuai unable to take Badru killing Gnome and looking down on him was furious and so he used all his remaining power to strike back. Almost all his bones and muscles were either broken or torn apart, yet the hand holding his staff still held strength and mustering all his Spiritual Power he could, he swung his staff. This unexpected attack succeed in hitting Badru in the face, yet the force was too weak to leave more than a scratch. Still, Badru was impressed and smiled at Shuai on the verge of death. Very few had ever fought Badru to the bitter end like Shuai. He now truly respected Shuai who he had thought as weak was indeed a true warrior, and as such... ruthlessly destroyed him. Badru holding up Shuai let go of him and as Shuai fell he smashed his fist into his chest with Eighty Percentage Power and his upper body was blown apart.

- POINT CASUALTIES: ONE MEMBER OF TEAM JAPAN DIED. TEAM JAPAN -1 TEAM POINT AND TEAM KENYA +1 TEAM POINT.

TEAM JAPAN TEAM POINTS: +2.

TEAM KENYA TEAM POINTS: -3.

TOTALS WILL BE MULTIPLIED BY 2000 BY THE END OF A TEAM'S MISSION AND DISTRIBUTED TO EACH LIVING MEMBER. MEMBERS OF BOTH TEAMS WITH NEGATIVE POINTS AT THE END WILL BE ERASED.

Badru: "...I've killed one unlocked member and a troublesome one at that. I won't die from either penalty and Sakura will be satisfied. I also killed a bunch of soldiers for points. I better go before... Ah. Yo, Shin! Nice job killing the Z3. Sorry about breaking the promise about laying off your team, but I needed the rewards to-"

Shin wasn't there for the exact moment he heard the notification from God about the death of a teammate, but he knew who had died. Both he and Hikari had heard an explosion coming from where they left the soldiers of Tokonosu City to fight all those evolved zombies. It could only have been the one comrade they left behind to support the soldiers, yet was still drained from his early radical display of power. It could have only have been Shuai and Badru must had killed him.

Shin: "..."

Hikari: "..."

Shin was running back towards the explosion and Hikari was riding on his back. Hikari should have certainly known if Shuai had died as they were connected with Soul Link under normal circumstances, but unfortunately she was in the dark. She had to stop Soul Link, along with her other Psyche Force powers after strengthening her mental powers with the +1 plate to kill the Z3, the member of Team Kenya, and the hundreds of evolved zombies from just before.

This was an unexpected side effect about the Psyche Force Diffusion Plates they wished they known about beforehand. Both of them were left in the dark and there was a chance that until Hikari recovered she could very well overload her Psyche Force if she wasn't careful. A overload of Psyche Force was nothing short of becoming brain dead without immediate treatment from God. That's why when Hikari said she would to try to look ahead with Psyche Force Scan, Shin forbade her from doing so. As the leader of Team Japan, and as a man, Shin couldn't take the risk of Hikari dying from overusing her enhancements. More so...

Shin: "...Hikari, hide yourself within one of these buildings. I will go and kill Badru alone."

Shin came to a stop and let Hikari off his back wanting her to hide in one of the buildings. There may be a few stray zombies nearby, but she was more than skilled with a gun and also had a antidote if she was unfortunately bitten. She could handle such a fight even if her opponent was a L2 or S2, but not the next fight with Badru. In the next fight it would be too dangerous for her to assist him in battle. Especially when she can't use Psyche Force in a battle against Badru. She could use her spells, but not her remote control weapons which were her only offensive means of fighting. Her Defensive Force Field had saved his and the lives of other comrades many times, but against a powerhouse like Badru her shield was as good as a wet sheet of paper. Even Grim Ash was defeated and had been called back.

Hikari didn't question Shin's decision to leave her behind knowing all this herself, but she didn't want him to go. There were only eight minutes left until the mission came to a end. Shuai may have died and she felt sad at the thought of losing a long time teammate and friend, but Badru was a genuine monster who had beat down Shin once before and at the time he was being assisted by Takashi, Jin, the deceased Shuai, and Rei. What could Shin do on his own?

Shin: "There isn't much time left, so I have to hurry. If I let Badru go unchallenged then how could I ever face my comrades as a leader, or call myself Shuai's friend? If I don't chase after Badru now, I know I won't have the courage to face him the next time we meet in this dimension. Stay safe!"

Shin watched Hikari hide herself within one of the buildings nearby and then he resumed running with Instant Movement. In less than a minute he arrived. He saw a large crater and at the center and standing over countless corpses and crippled bodies was Badru with that same smile he always had. Shin couldn't locate Shuai among all the bodies, but noticing his shaman staff lying on the floor and bloodstained... he once more had to accept that Shuai had really died.

The young man and comrade who when they first met was so normal by anyone standards and at one point hated Team Japan when he was forced to act as bait... yet in the end accepted his responsibilities without failing the team. The young man who was a part of Team Japan for so long and who had shown many, Shin included, the value of accepting Newbies into the team even when they didn't hold a special talent and were too weak to critically change the tides of battle. Without this, the veteran members of Team Japan would of likely excluded even promising newbies for various reasons like trust or bad timing. This young man, no this man was killed by Badru.

Badru saw Shin and spoke a few words, but they never reached his ears.

Shin: (The smartest thing I could have done was just to walk away with Hikari instead of confronting Badru. We completed the mission and acquired lots and lots of points and some rank rewards. No one else has to die and risk their lives... but I really must not be smart. Not that I ever wanted to become a smart OverPowered protagonist anyways. Especially one that leaves a comrade unavenged!)

- *BAM*!!

Before Badru realized what was going on Shin had attacked. Cutting him off as he was explaining himself, he already found himself blown off his feet and flying through the air. Badru hadn't let his guard down in the slightest as he spoke to a member of a enemy team after killing his teammate, yet before he could react Shin's kick had landed on the side of his face with enough force to snap his neck and crashing into the wall of a building. The wall didn't collapse on impact, but cracks spread throughout the wall and at its center was Badru embedded into the wall. Badru snapped his neck back into place and eyed Shin. That kick just now displayed power beyond what he had seen from him before and was almost comparable to the full power swing of the Dual Evovler Takashi.

Badru: "...Were you hiding a self-created... No. Nothing so amazing yet more frightening than I'd like to imagine. So this is just your normal power, or rather your true unrestrained power of your enhancements and potential!"

Badru spoke words to Shin, but at this moment the person in question couldn't hear them. Shin was too engrossed in keeping his sanity. Shin's Kakuja Kagune had manifested, as well as a complete mask covering his face. In addition, powerful Ki was surging forth from every pour of his skin and shrouded Shin in a dense vapor far larger than the time he fought Junpei and his followers. This was the ultimate technique of the Black Heaven & Earth Technique, Black Origin Threshold.

Kakuja Kagune and Black Origin Threshold.

These two powers were the ultimate representation of Shin's energy (Ki) and mutation (Ghoul), yet till now he never dared to use both at once in live combat. These two powers complimented each other very well, yet for that reason why Shin never thought to use them together no matter how desperate the situation was because of its greatest power yet flaw. Both the Kakuja and Black Origin Threshold brought out the inner demons, primal instincts of the user. Kakuja Kagune brought out instability of the mind and whereas the Black Origin Threshold pushed it's user into a blind rage of the spirit.

Both Kakuja and Black Origin Threshold were powers Shin had yet to fully master, and when brought together he couldn't hope to hold any control over his actions. Only by the presence of the Third Stage's absolute control of the mind was he able to miraculously stay aware of what was going on around him... but that was it. Shin had no control of his actions whatsoever, but he choose to enter this state for the sole purpose of defeating Badru. Anything less and there wouldn't have been a point in challenging a monster like Badru alone with the intention of killing him.

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

Badru: "Hahah! Nice power and speed, but I can see that you've abandoned yourself to this power... and that's foolish! Without the insight of all forces and instincts of ancestors found in the Fourth Stage, entering a beast like state has no val-"

With a loud boom, Shin leaped forward with Swift Dash and with a thrown Soul Crushing Strike crashing down on Badru. Badru looked down at Shin abandoning himself to his powers, yet this power was no to be trifled with by the weak. His power and speed had reached an unbelievable height, and along with a boost of Ki in his current state the force of Soul Crushing Strike grew more dangerous. This time around Badru had readied perfectly for another attack from Shin at any moment and manged to raise his guard to block his punch aimed at his heart, but the force behind the punch smashed Badru deeper into the wall, destroying it and blowing him once more off his feet inside the building.

Badru was flying towards a wall inside the building, yet with uncharacteristic balance and grace he stood of the wall perfectly absorbing the force of his crash. Shin pursued Badru inside the building and Badru leapt back at him, and the two clashed in midair. Shin was showing remarkable strength, yet as a close range fighter himself Badru would have no way else of fighting back if he ran from Shin. It also wasn't in his nature to run away and nor did he need to.

Badru's fighting style was a extreme power burst style. Without even using special abilities or Self-created powers, Badru for the sake of great power naturally drew out strength far beyond his means. This was his talent. Similar to the talent of Misaki who knew how to bring about maximum potential power, which Shin himself uses by simulating him in the Third Stage, but Badru's own talent was to bring out more than the maximum power his body could produce.

Though he trys to hide it this result in Badru naturally damaging his own body when he fights without even using enhancements from God. For that reason Badru choose a lowly rated mutation which allows him to easily augment his powers with the Younger Togoro Percentage Power. As for his secondary mutation and energy in the Demon Bloodline... he just enjoyed the way it felt to use Demonic Power rather than Ki or Mana to destroy things. Even though as a energy, Ki or Mana were stronger, Demonic Power gave a euphoric feeling when used to destroy and responded much better to the user's emotional state, second to only those powers which convert will and emotions into physical power.

Badru: (80 Percentage Power! Demonic Power of the rank Overlord at 70 percent!)

Shin launched heavy barrages of Soul Crushing Strikes as Badru closed in mid air, yet he was almost instantly overpowered. Badru's pure might was still leagues above Shin's own and after they exchange a short clash of punches, Shin found his arms shattered with the exception of his gloved hands and a fist striking his stomach. Shin's magic gloves absorbed most of the impact from Badru's strikes at the very least, but there was no such excellent protection for the rest of his body. Silver Dragon Scales was already active, yet that was hardly a sturdy protection against an opponent of this caliber. Badru's fist sank deep into Shin's gut and blasted him away this time as payback from before. Badru felt Shin's spine snap through his hand and assumed he had won this battle, but a tug from his left ankle proved otherwise.

A Kakuja tail wrapped around his ankle and as Shin was blown away pulled Badru along with him. At the same time Shin healed himself with high speed regeneration. In the states of Kakuja and Black Origin Threshold, Shin's greatest attribute, regeneration emerged and finished recovering in that instant he was blown away. Shin even benefited from Hikari's previous magic buff spells as they chased the Z3. His arms, spine, and other injures deemed vital were repaired in a instant and all others left as they were. The Black Origin Threshold supplied Shin with a temporary endlessly regenerating Ki and stamina yet heavily burdened his body, with the Kakuja more so for his stamina. It was confusing to convey, but wielding both Kakuja and Black Origin Threshold had its limits and once it was reached, a steep and possibly lethal price had to be paid, so Shin with his limited consciousness was trying his best to make sure he didn't burn out till the battle was over.

- *CRASH*!

Fully healed Shin fell to the floor on all fours and with the previous momentum reeled in and swung his Kakuja tail holding Badru through a wall for a second time and then had him land hard tumbling outside. Shin chased after Badru and the building they were just in collapsed from the damage, creating a smokescreen of sorts from dust and debris. Shin made use of this and silenced his steps with the Third Stage simulating Sachi. Badru standing back up and in a fighting stance was on the look out for that mad beast, yet couldn't sense any of the killing intent which radiated off him from before.

Badru: (Well shit. Is this guy really just abandoning himself to the power of just enhancements, or is this a sign of his evolution to come one day? Whatever the case this mad rush will end soon with the destruction of his body from over using his enhancements, but that regenerative ability is annoying. I've avoided striking the head or heart so I don't accidentally kill him, but lesser injuries no matter how damaging won't keep him down. If I still want to keep him alive for my entertainment later, I can do the cowardly thing and out last him, run till he burns himself out, or-)

Badru entering the Second Stage took a deep breath and as he exhaled a burst of energy was released from his body pushing away the dust obstructing him by 10 meters in all directions. His body grew larger and more muscular by over ten times his standard, and even his bones underneath his flesh enlarging and pushing outward till they became visible from the outside. In addition his body was wrapped in a veil of red Demonic Power empowering him even further. This was only Badru's strongest normal power, yet was already more than intimidating. His current form created an atmosphere of power and bloodlust to force any unlocked human to enter Unlocked Mode as a defensive measure. His Demonic Bloodline was not as advance at the time, but only against those of Team Celestial or enemies from dangerous Bonus Missions did he encounter anyone, man or monster in this realm, where this power alone wasn't enough to reap their lives with certainty.

Badru: "-Or the fun thing and not crush his living vessel, but his spirit sustaining him! Secod Stage, 100 Percentage Power, and Demonic Power of rank Overlord at full! Hahaha! This thing called battle, I can never get enough of it!!!"

Badru smashed down his fist with exceptional force and the air current blew all the dust in the surrounding area away, revealing Shin stalking up to him from his right side. Badru threw a punch at empty space in Shin's direction and the air current blasted him off his feet. To stabilize himself red Kagune tentacles stabbed into the earth killing his momentum, yet Badru had already closed in with his right fist already swinging towards him. Shin put up a guard and blocked his front with the hard and thick Kakuja tail, but on impact with the fist the tail was blown apart and was continuing forward. This attack would once more leave Shin a cripple if it landed, yet a chill went down Badru's spine when Shin actually reached out with his gloved left hand. Adell's Legacy ignited with a burning energy field catching Badru's fist. The force of Badru's punch broke through the protection of the magic gloves and dislocated every bone in Shin's hand to his shoulder on impact, yet for Badru most of the flesh from his hand was burned off by the burning energy field. If not for activating Molecular Density at the last second his entire hand would have been incinerated.

Badru: "Oh, and here I was looking down at you for relying on too many exchanged weapons and items in battle, but I take that back. Even AA ability Molecular Density can be broken through by powerful magic weapons till I reach the Fourth Stage. Though how about this! Howling Air Crushing Cannon!"

Badru with his still functional left hand gathered Demonic Power and concentrated it on top of his skin. Badru had very few exchanged abilities and as a direct type fighter he choose only simple yet power techniques. Demon series martial arts skill, Howling Air Crushing Cannon!

Badru threw his fist with all his might forward and the concentrated demonic power fused into the air, shooting out as a wave of air of high density. There were many such techniques which used "Air" as a catalyst to attack. Shin's only sword skill sword or the kicking technique of Rokushiki from the world of One Piece were among a few of them, but rather than speed and slicing power like the the formers, Badru's technique excelled in speed and power.

Howling Air Crushing Cannon rushed towards Shin as a cannon ball of red air vibrating fiercely. Shin covered himself from head to toe in Silver Dragon Scales and wrapped the armored Kakuja tail around his body, yet the air blast cannon broke through this defense and sent him hurling backwards for hundreds of meters. The air blast cannon continued to push Shin without immediately disappearing, smashing him against the car door of an abandoned vehicle, leaving him wounded all over. Shin began to heal himself immediately, but Badru gave him no such luxury to do so in peace. He dashed towards fully intending to beat him literal half to death and into the earth where he could no longer stand back up.

Shin: (Unable to recover to full battle conditions by the time he arrives. Prioritize healing for Kakuja Kagune tail, legs, and the the rest of the body in that order!)

Many ideas flash through Shin's mind to escape Badru's charge, but many of them were unusable right now. The dual states Kakuja and Black Origin Threshold bestowed great power, but turned him into an almost completely mindless beast fighting on instinct alone. Marital arts and Ki techniques were possible as a physical activities ingrained into his body from countless battles, but magic spells like Fire Bolt, but more importantly it altered variant Scarlet Bullet were way too complex to utilize. Only a true specialist in magic like Jin could use magic in a similar state as Shin had entered into, but then he would have the opposite problem with physical techniques being unusable. Even a simple task of selecting and taking out weapons from the Na Rings or Subspace Belt were not possible right now, so Shin could only make do with what he had and be thankful that he could still make use some of the abilities of the First, Second, amd Third Stages.

As Badru approached the fully healed Kakuja tail lashed out at the battle fiend. The tail had a long reach and was agile and could cut through steel with just a swipe, yet Badru easily avoid the tail whip without stopping his approach. Badru even grabbed the middle section of the tail to pull Shin towards him, yet as the tail's bladed end passed it lashed at the air with Ki, sending out 36 Pound Cannon which was originally a sword technique. The compressed air blade at dazzling speed flew towards the foe's exposed back. Badru was too late to use his inherited defensive skill, so he had to let go of the Kukuja tail and roll to the side, but the air blade slashed a half inch wound across his backside. As Badru's roll came to a stop a flying kick blazing with heat from above shot towards him.

Shin took this chance to heal his legs, and rather than flee used Swift Dash to launch himself for a kick with the foot wear of Legacy active with the burning energy field. The attack came too fast to avoid, yet after the air blade slashed his back Badru was prepared to use Molecular Density at any moment. Badru raised his left arm to block Shin's blazing kick. Molecular Density and Adell's Legacy had clashed before, but this time Shin was charging forward and Badru was on the defending side. The blazing kick dug deep into the bare arm. Even with Molecular Density's incredible resistance, half the flesh of Badru's forearm was burned off by the burning energy field. Still, Badru's arm was not completely burned through and enduring the great pain of his flesh burning, and roaring with fury he pushed the kick away with brute strength. Shin was sent backwards with a dislocated ankle from Badru's power, but it and all other wounds were allowed to heal since Badru didn't pursue.

Shin: (Why... isn't he.. chasing after... me? This was still... his...)

Shin questioned why Badru didn't continue his chase and allow Shin to heal, but unfortunately such rational thinking on his part was coming to a end. His consciousness had finally slipped away. As he and Badru clashed, with each exchange of blows he entered deeper into Black Origin Threshold. At last he became a separate existence from his body, pure spirit which moved solely on emotion and instinct. He was still aware he was in a fight, but everything was too hazy and disconnected from himself for it to matter. But from the outside Shin, as he glared at Badru intense emotions of rage and hatred for Badru and every living thing seemed to have consumed him, which in turn surged his Ki to greater levels.

The Kakuja thrived on such emotions and shot up his physical power to compete with the Ki of Black Origin Threshold which continued to swell up. These two dark powers by nature clashed and stimulated the other and partly fused together into a greater force exceeding all limits without a single consideration to the user's state afterwards. Badru watched as Shin's power inched closer and closer to his own, perhaps surpassing it in some ways... all with a large smile across his face, so excited he couldn't calm his breathing. Badru had fully intended to let Shin go. He really had. To grow into a warrior who fully lived up to his great potential who needed time to grow, yet the magnificent form of his raw fury and malicious energy shrouding his body, no longer as a green vapor, but a deep redish green vapor darker than blood... it was too much for Badru to hold back.

Badru: "Ha.... Haha.... Hahhaha..... Hahahahahahaha! Amazing! Too visibly see evolution... I, I, I... have to crush it! The exhilaration of just the thought of crushing such potential and the fear of letting it mature... I am so glad that I met you, Shin... So go ahead and die for me!"

Badru lost in his crazed zeal for battle broke his promise to spare Shin. With that constraint no longer in place Badru showed more of his true power. Not through pure enhancements like Shin's current state, but his own Self-created Ability, named "Rebellion".

Badru entered the Third Stage for heightened combat ability as his aura of Demonic Power surrounding his body seeped back his body, yet not receding back to its source the heart. The Demonic Power fused with the enlarged and strengthen muscles of Younger Togoro Percentage Power and... then shrunk. Those large muscles which made Badru out to be a giant in 100 Percentage Power and the Second Stage shrunk till he was the same tall and skinny man he was before, but there was a difference. Badru's skin had become a rubbery and smooth redish-purple, his hair had fallen off, and his eyes shinning with a golden glow with no pupils to be found. This form looked odd, alien even, and less harmless compared to his ripped self from before, but for those not blind in the ways of battle Badru was more powerful than ever before.

Badru: "Self-created power, "Rebellion". In this form I can produce power 10 times more than normal in most areas, and in brute force more so. This is a First Order physical enhancement self-created power. My Second Order form, The Juggernaut, I am sorry to say is still in development. One of your comrades seemed to have a Second Order skill as well, but vastly lacked the discipline to control such great power, but that has nothing to do with us. Shin, to hide myself earlier, I damaged my body to avoid all forms of detection and this battle has surprisingly took a number on me. That's why... I'll end it with this!"

Badru gathered power to his previously damaged right hand and healed with a regeneration speed almost rivaling Shin's own. Fully healed the skinny hand of Badru's bulged slightly and hardened with the Molecular Density ability. Badru honestly couldn't sustain this power for too long. His self-created power wasn't balanced well in all areas and his own talent of bringing out more than maximum power didn't help things either. That's why no matter the result, this battle would end in the next exchange... not that he thought Shin could do anything to him now.

Shin: "....Spirit... Wave..."

The sheer power Badru emmited into the atmosphere was enough to deprive any strong warrior the function of breathing in his presence, yet working for Shin, the pressure and looming threat that he was going to die once Badru made his move partially woke up his consciousness. Not enough to regain complete control of his body to runaway or use a complex stratagem to overcome the situation, but just enough to direct his next offensive. His body moving on only spirit knew no fear and would just blindly rush Badru at any second. There was no stopping and turning back once he entered both Kakuja and Black Origin Threshold, but he could now at least strike out with his greatest power, Spirit Wave.

It works best when reinforced through Gravity Blade, but right now he could only hope the additional might of Black Origin Threshold of Kakuja could create a miracle. Ultimately it was for the best. Shin's Ki stimulated by various forces had now finally reached a level of power and density impossible for a mere C tier magic sword to withstand without shattering if he applied Spirit Wave now. If he did have the good sense to take out Gravity Blade the magic sword would have fallen apart before he could swing it and he would have also lost the energy created by Spirit Wave. Right now only his own body can barely withstand this new power.

Shin: "...Kill..."

Shin's dense vapor of Ki already swelled now exploded in all directions, swirling around his body as a higher tier of energy. This torrent of pure energy receded back into his body and concentrated around his left hand now grasped tightly into a fist. So tight his tough skin broke and bled, but paying it no mind Shin bent his knees ready to dash forward as fast as possible to strike Badru down with the great power in his possession.

Badru: "Molecular Fist!!!"

Shin: "!!!"

The moment Badru moved, stepping forward just a centimeter, Shin launched himself forward with his fastest technique, "Swift Dash". Shin's speed and reaction time surpassed Badru at this important moment, but not too greatly in "Rebellion". Badru swung down his fist at Shin with perfect timing to counter punch him, yet in a unexpected turn Shin whipped the ground with his Kagune. It didn't accelerate him any further, but moved him just enough to changed Badru's counter into a direct clash of fist. Badru had the longer reach, so a contest of power was the best outcome rather than his fist never reaching Badru. Shin's Kakuja and Black Origin Threshold Spirit Wave and Badru's Molecular Fist crashed head on into each other and an explosion of energy and pure force detonated.

- *EXPLOSION*!!!

The area of 50 meters around the two was vaporized as if a large bomb had went, but only one of them was blown away. With half his body deformed and crushed, Shin flew through the air like a bullet, crashing and tumbling across the city streets unconscious for real this time with no energy or signs of life to be seen. He was just unmoving as if he was a puppet with its strings cut.

As for Badru... his condition was left up to debate. Badru himself was standing there with a big grin plastered on his face feeling exhilarated from their clash, but ask anyone else they would wonder how he was still standing. Badru was missing his entire right arm and parts of his shoulder and chest. They were all blasted off from the clash of powers, but unlike Shin, Badru could still move and even fight despite his current state. That just goes to show his power, endurance, and the might of his self-created ability.

Badru: "...That last attack was scary. I won in pure might, but his energy surpassed mine. If he had control of his reasoning and made better use of that power... I would have still won, but I wouldn't be standing like this... He really does have the best potential though. I didn't hear a notification, so he isn't dead yet..."

Badru began walking towards Shin with heavy footsteps while experiencing a internal conflict. The battle was over and he had won. He had regained his cool and was contemplating once more about letting Shin go. The potential he showed just now made him realize how frightening an opponent Shin would become in the future if he was allowed to live. This was something for him to rejoice as a battle maniac, yet there was a growing shadow of doubt in his heart now. A doubt that Shin wouldn't be the perfect prey for him to hunt down in the future and him the hunter, but their positions would be reversed with himself being the hunted. If Badru didn't hold self-created abilities, his AA tier inherited defensive ability, a life time of training and extensive combat experience he wondered if he would have won this battle.

Badru now both longed for and feared what Shin would become in the future and this internal conflict... left him utterly exposed. As he was just two steps away from Shin's manged body an overwhelming force grasped his mind halting and his movements. With great effort and fury, Badru turned his head towards where this mental attack was coming from and saw the frame of a young girl in the distance. Her right hand was pointed towards him and grasped tightly in the other was a plate releasing a light of Psyche Force, her body glowed with the light of countless magic buffs, and behind her back was a spiritual familiar boosting her Psych Force further. It was Hikari using her last Psyche Force Diffusion Plates+1 and Persona Adrasteia. Despite Shin's warning to stay hidden and not use her powers, Hikari had used her scans to follow Shin and Badru's battle and seeing a conclusion was about to be reached she rushed out of hiding to aid him how ever she could, but arriving to only find him defeated and barely hanging on to life she took decisive action for his sake.

Hikari clenched her teeth as she activated the remaining plate, almost fainting the moment she gained control of Badru. His power was too great and although his Mental Capacity wasn't as strong in comparison, it had been enhanced somewhat, and he had reached the Third Stage of the Genetic Constraint which had absolute control of the mind. It was far too hard a task for someone ten times as powerful as herself in Psyche Force to perfectly control a strong willed warrior of his caliber, so Hikari settled for the already near impossible task of keeping him from reaching Shin, and luckily Badru was terribly exhausted both in body and mind after the dual with Shin making this her best chance at succeeding.

Hikari restricted Badru's movements and Badru resisted violently with all his might and would definitely break free if she wasn’t persisting with all her will, and if she had forgone buffing her abilities with magic or not summon her Perosna before clashing with Badru, he would have already knocked off her control of him by just relying on the Psyche Force Diffusion Plates+1.

Hikari was without a doubt throwing her everything at her opponent and was prepared to die to protect Shin, but despite her efforts Badru managed to free his left hand from her control, and taking out one of the small stones he kept in his pocket he flicked it at her with his thumb. The stone shot out with explosive force rivaling a bullet of a high powered sniper rifle, but his aim was off from the clash of wills with Hikari, and rather than her torso where he was aiming the stone struck her right knee, blowing off her entire leg and she fell to the floor. Hikari had a defensive skill, but as she was putting in her all into Psyche Force, using any other type of power after she begun to restrain Badru and diverting her attention would result in her hold on him shattering.

Badru again attempted to throw another stone at Hikari as she fell flat on the ground, yet blocking the bullet for her was her final remote control DRAGOON which she could control just fine with Psyche Force alone. It was too demanding for Hikari to shoot down the stone and she didn't feel attacking Badru who still had his defensive skill and was in "Rebellion" with the beam cannon would result in much damage, so she decided to sacrifice it for defense.

Hikari was in Unlocked Mode, yet still wanted to cry from the pain and sense of loss from losing her leg, but seeing Shin lying half dead on the ground she persisted to keep her hold on Badru. As she was on the ground she spotted Shuai's staff and took it into her hands. Hikari didn't see it, but certainly her comrade had thought to the end without giving up. She felt as much when she touched the bloodstained staff, so how could she give up here? Hikari tightly held the staff and continued to restrict Badru.

This continued on for another thirty seconds and came to a end when Hikari's vision blurred and she fainted on the spot having exhausted every bit of her Psyche Force. The young girl was left with a feeling of floating in empty space where she could rest peacefully. At last Badru was free from her control, yet as he looked back at Shin lying on the floor still unmoving... the world turned to darkness as each player entered a half awake and half asleep state.

Ten minutes had finally passed since the death of the mutant variant Z3 and the mission of H.O.T.D Cross Series came to a end.

Did Shin survive... Well, that's not even something that I have to say, right? Mission 6 of H.O.T.D that's crossed with God and Devil World evolved zombies, and the first intense Team battle where a final conclusion of who survives couldn't be reached, has come to a close and we will be moving on to the Intermission Arc... Which is like two chapters long.

Now I'm almost done and this is important. Please leave comments. I generally love to hear people thoughts of this chapter, but more importantly I want to improve. I should be working on the next arc as we speak, but criticism so that I can improve and write a seventh mission better than the first six and the Real World Arc is very much appreciated. Reviews help as well and if they are good I'll change my writing style. Side note, I will never use shared kill points again. I originally thought the totals wouldn't be so high in points, so I won't do this again. The last arc was to be the only broken arc after all.

Also, I need a B rank eye skill for Connor. Not Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, but if anyone has some ideas say them in the next two days. Lastly, thank you all for reading the sixth mission of Terror Infinity - Side B, and will see you again in the Intermission!
