☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
The notification of the changes in the Main Mission were announced early afternoon of the day after the purge of Tokonosu City was completely settled. All the traitors were rounded up and sent to prison cells, or were executed on the spot thanks to the combined efforts of Team Japan, the main characters, and the Takagi faction. Riots broke out throughout the city from both smaller factions aligned with the Mayor and three of the 5 Heads of Military and from average citizens taking advantage of the chaos, but fully expecting such a situation was likly to occur the Takagi faction suppressed the riots along the police. They had already set up measures to swiftly snuff out the trouble makers and dispel the confusion of the citizens, and in the end everything had calmed down by the time the morning sun rose over the horizon of the city.
The two remaining 5 Heads of Military who were not plotting a coup with the other heads and the Mayor realized what was going on only after everything had come to a end. The Takagi's desired a untied organization without factions or multiple military organizations, so they demanded that they disband and assimilate into the new organization to be named later, but one that will merge military and government together as equals. The two last Heads of Military didn't look too kindly to a demand to surrender the hard earn power and influence they have acclimated after the apocalypse, but if they refused they would obviously be killed so they could only agree.
Of course, under the condition that they would receive high positions in the new military and their soldiers would be treated with respect. The Takagi's agreed to these demands, and so the two heads of military surrendered without a fight. Just taking their power was a option, but would result in not gaining 100% of it. And this way this display of fairness would go a long way to show others they were not just interested in power and making use of those below easier. And with this, together with the men and women of the other powers who have surrendered and reassigned into the new organizations, the new military would have a total manpower of 15,000 men and women. Most would be new recruits without much combat experience, yet they would be lead by those who did have the experience and will transform this army into a formidable force to repel the invasion of 3 million zombies.
It was then around that time Shin and his team met up with the Takagi's and the main characters. The main characters and Saya's parents had kept their end of the deal to purge the cancerous elements within Tokonosu City, so Shin took out from his Dimensional Belt the goods he had promised them. Compressed Food and Solidified Water to feed a city of 100,000 for a year, various seeds which would grow under any condition and fertilize the surrounding area, the crafting method for Low Grade Magic Bullets, two samples of the G Virus Antidote and their formula blueprint, gunpowder and materials to forge millions of bullets (Although of low quality), and a large supply of medicine which was desperately needed after the apocalypse.
Team Japan had obtained these items in mass from Drebin893, with each member spending 500 points. 500 points was not a lot even when multiplied by nine for a large team of ten plus Players, yet when exchanging for cheap items and with some only costing a tenth of a point to exchange for, even the 500 meter cubic space of Shin's Dimensional Belt was almost completely filled up. Saya's parents were pleased to with the food supplies and seeds since food and clean water are always in demand, but more so for the magic bullets crafting and Antidote. The former were more important for the future and establishing the city as a super power which can thrive in the apocalypse, but the magic bullets were vital for the upcoming battle.
So was the Antidote which can save someone from the initial infection once bitten by a zombie which turns them into one of the undead. Enhancers and Evolvers who bravly fought zombies up close like Takeshi and the Walking Dead Unit were of risk of infection just from mere scratches or bites, but with the Antidote valuable men and women can be saved before they turn into zombies. Saya's father, Souichiro Takagi was especially hopeful about the prospect of mass producing the Antidote one day. His best friend before the apocalypse had turned into a zombie, so he wished that no one would be forced to kill their important friends and family just because of small cuts and bites for zombies. Souichiro was moved so much as he held the Antidote in his hands that for the first time maybe in a long time revealed a peaceful smile and honestly thanked Shin and Team Japan from the bottom of his heart. So did the main characters as they as well have experienced the terrors and sadness of zombie infections having lost important friends and comrades.
As Shin handed over the Antidote and Souichiro and his wife thanked him despite this being a business deal, each member of Team Japan heard the notification of the 1000 Points acquired. This came as a surprise, but it wasn't a great one since it was only an extra thousand points. It wasn't a rewarding reward, but it was one that was zero risk that only required purchasing a 100 Point Antidote and gifting the item to someone of power capable of creating the cure. It was then only after Saya's parents immediately ordered the mass production of Magic Bullets that very same day did they receive the more shocking second notification from God.
A change in the objectives of the main mission!
This has never happened before for Team Japan, so most of them were lost about why this occurred, but Jin showed some insight into the matter. Their team had changed the plot of the H.O.T.D Cross Series world with their actions. This had never happened before since the team has never invested so much in a single mission world before now.
Jin: "To tell you all the truth I've considered this possibility when I first suggested that we would enter into a cooperation with Saya's parents. Remember when I said just by us introducing magic bullets, even the low grade variety, we had competed our mission? That wasn't an exaggeration. The leader of the zombie legion, the Mutant Variant Z3 may be smart and absorbing information at a fast pace, but the mass majority of his forces are mindless zombies who require his direct supervision to enact any simple to complex plans, and who can only engage in close quarters combat for the most part. Against an organized army with modern weapons they would lose 10 out of 10 times. There are the evolved THEM like the L3 or S3, but this city has the Walking Dead Unit lead by Takashi who can even match up against our leader Shin. The only reason I believe Tokonosu City would fall without our intervention is due to a lack of resources. Bullets, guns, tanks, helicopter, missiles, and trained soldiers capable of withstanding a 3 million large legion on zombies. This city lacks enough of each, and furthermore was far from united. God wouldn't give us a mission where all we had to do was hide out and wait for the battle to conclude on its own, so it was our mission to intervene to give Tokonosu City a chance of surviving. Surviving, not winning the battle and wiping out the zombie legion. The objective is to stay in this world for fifteen days. The zombies arrive of Day 10, so we have to hold out for five days once the battle starts. I suspect that the fourteenth or the fifteenth day would have been the turning point in the mission if neither of the two teams did anything. Optimistically, either the city can hold out for five days without us intervening before they fall, or by the fifth day the Z3 will order a retreat after meeting too much resistance. This was what God had planned out, but our actions changed this plot. Just introducing magic bullets will give the city's military power the edge it needs to overwhelm the legion. Excluding Team Kenya's possible actions and safe guarding the main characters and Saya's parents, we actually don't have to step out onto the battlefield. The magic bullets will wipe the zombie legion, yet since this alone is just a result of our intelligence, or evolution, God probably wouldn't change the mission just because we shared the crafting method for magic bullets. What did it was everything else. Military, politics, agriculture, and medicine. We did so much that we changed the plot of the this world, the so called Level 1 Great Reform, so God increased the difficulty of the main mission on us! Ah, sorry for not giving everyone a heads up!"
Hearing what Jin had to say they agreed with him and wanted to give him a black eye (Everyone), but a few wondered just how much did Jin predict that things would turn out like this. Especially Shin. Looking back and without even having to enter the Third Stage, he now felt that Jin was too optimistic when they were planning on how to go about gaining their influence and didn't seem to care about doing too much to gain their influence, saying that it'll work out. Shin could imagine that Jin knew that changing the plot by a large degree would result in the change of mission and was just curious to see just how far they could push the settings of this Mission World before God intervened with the change of mission. Shin felt stupid for not realizing this earlier and was angry at Jin, but in the end he let it go. What's done is done and if Jin had been forthcoming about what he wanted to do, he would have probably agreed. Changing the plot would 100% result in a more difficult objective to complete by God, but it would be highly rewarding. It was a difficult challenge, but as Jin said without Team Kenya's interventions, the battle was already won thanks to magic bullets. Even if Tokonosu City suffers a bit they will win out in the end. They could have 80% of their soldiers be killed, recruit from the population untrained soldiers and still come out on top. Like this Shin thought it was more than a good idea to take the risk to kill the enemy leader unlike his original thoughts on the matter.
Shin: (The fact that I'm not even mad over Jin's crap anymore either means that I'm a irresponsible leader, or that he's grown on me... Yeah, I hope it's the former. I wonder if other teams out their have to worry about what their strategist are doing behind their backs.)
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
Day 10.
It was the tenth day of the mission before the zombie legion arrived and the day that Team Kenya would appear. It was an important day for both Team Japan, the main characters, Saya's parents the new leaders of Tokonosu City to make the last of their preparations for the coming battle, yet the members of Team Japan except two were just sitting around the courtyard of the Walking Dead Unit compound with lethargic looks. Komaru and other human creations who had joined them could only smile awkwardly at everyone. The ones who did not have such a expression and lying on the floor utterly exhausted was Shuai and Jin and the one with the most torpid state was their leader Shin, and seeing him like this Hikari sitting to his side spoke up.
Hikari: "Hey, is this okay? The battle is about to begin, but everyone other than Shuai has just been sitting around. We even only go into the city because Shin likes to show off his so called harem. Isn't this just too irresponsible?"
Aqua: "What can you do? We don't have to do anything do and we can't help out. Saya's parents are just too proficient. I was part of the army, but I was just a soldier and this city has plenty of those."
Shuai: "Fuck! Then find something to do and don't make me do all the work! Oh, they were so happy when Gnome and I helped them out that they handed us some of their God and Devil items, but what the hell did you guys do?!"
Shin: "Hey, my Ash is going out everyday to kill zombies, so don't call me lazy! He has even gained a few stats from killing some of the evolved zombies and he picked up the bones of dozens of skilled evolvers like Junpei to become stronger, so there!"
Jin: "Yeah, I saw Grim Ash fighting out there and couldn't believe my eyes. It isn't wrong to say now that he's a main combatant with his skill level."
Shin: "I know, right. We're quite the duo now."
Connor: "..."
Kisara: "Can you really call Grim Ashes' efforts your own, Shin? I'm a tolerate women, but if you sent your familiar in your place when we go on a date... I'll be upset to say the least (...Scary. What's the dark smile on my Kisara's beautiful face?). The principle still stands here."
Shin: "...So you want to go on a date? There's nothing good to do around here, but-"
Shuai: "Go to hell leader! If you have time to flirt, come help me dig some pits! That's how we got our additional goods!"
Sachi: "Stop complaining. And it isn't like you can wear nine pairs of Mutant Beast armor."
Drake: "*SIGH*! Zombie legion just get here already! I want to try out my skills. I've only thrown around a few soldiers with my Innocence!"
Komaru: "...This group is scary even when they are lazing about."
After the change in the Main Mission each member of Team Japan were worried about their future, but come the next day they realized that there was nothing for them to do but wait. Even as corrupt as it was before, Tokonosu City had an experienced and organized government and army, and now under one banner with no smaller factions battling it out for power and influence they had become even more organized. Saya's parents Souichiro and Yuriko were skilled with both matters of government work and military, and had countless talented and experienced subordinates under them. Some even recruited from the former 5 Military Heads and the Mayor who were found to be trustworthy.
They swiftly re-organized the army to account for loss personnel in the purge and were preparing for the upcoming battle. They had even drafted strong men and women into the army with the promise of food, water, and higher status during this apocalyptic age. They organized a large scale weapons development plan to convert all of the city's bullets into Lowest Grade Magic Bullets by hiring those incapable of fighting. Like children, housewives and the elderly to craft the bullets. They were predicted to be done doing so by the end of the day. The once poor state of the refugees were improved when the government handed out solidified water and compressed food and were promised that there would no longer be shortages of food and water. Also giving them a job of importance gave the citizens a sense of purpose they lacked before which brought some life into the city.
This book was originally published on Royal Road. Check it out there for the real experience.
To prepare for the approaching zombie legion scouts have went out to set traps and obstruct certain key roads to slow down their advance and hinder the advance the legion. This was an important matter to Team Japan, so they lent out Shuai and his Gnome Earth Elemental, along with Jin to help them set these traps to speed up the process. Gnome dug large pits under the streets which would collapse when the large legion walks pass, demolished building to collapse and block streets with debris, and together with Jin's Quagmire spell, they made large muddy pools 100 meters wide and fifty meters deep in various locations.
Jin: "All wells that ends well."
Shuai: "Like hell it has! We, no Gnome and I did most of the work, but it was Shin that Saya's father gave the rank of special lieutenant! Sure, out of gratitude for what we've done we got some Type 3 Mutant Beast armor, Tang Swords (Where did they pick up these from?), Essence Beads from Mutant Beast, and a few skill books, but where's my acknowledgement!?"
Saying that what they've done to help Tokonosu City couldn't expressed by just entering a friendly alliance, Saya's parents offered up items of the God and Devil System. Shin obviously considered that this was a gift to gain the favor of a powerful ally, but he didn't mind this and happily accepted the gifts.
◆ Type 3 Mutant Beast armor - A leather skin suit from the scales of Type 3 Mutant Beast. Can't be penetrated by sniper rifle bullets, cut by swords, and even chain saws couldn't tear through its defense. Only Sci-fi weapons and overly powerful attacks can break through it. Unable to absorb shock. According to Team Japan's test, the armor would rival D-DD tier defensive armor, but with no magic defense unlike Shin's former Lesser Fenrir Coat that had countless layers of magic defense and special abilities. Still, they agreed that in a battle in a world with modern weapons and infectious zombeis, wearing this armor was better than not.
◆ Replica Tang Sword (×10) - The next weapon players of the God and Devil System in China would acquire after leaving behind the initial rod weapon. A magic weapon with slightly better sharpness than the average sword with a small amount of magic power. No member of the team were particularly interested in using the Tang Sword as their main weapon since Shin, Aqua, Kisara, and Sachi had better close range weapons, and the others weren't close range fighter, but Shin had a purpose using them, so he kept all ten swords in his Na Rings.
◆ Essence Beads (×30) - Small marble sized monster cores found in some higher level mutant beast and zombies. Consuming one would increase ones stats by the type and quality of the Essence Beads. All thirty beads were the kind easy to acquire from low level monsters. These Essense Beads for those like Takashi and his teammates couldn't help them gain a boost in stats any longer having consumed so many, but for members of Team Japan who have never consumed Essence Beads before there was the real chance they could acquire additional stat points.
The members of Team Japan didn't know if their stats could be increased by eating Essence Beads since their stats system differed for the God and Devil World system, so as a test they feed one to Grim Ash. It was strange to see a skeleton eat something without a stomach, but it looked like that was not a requirement as Grim Ash gained 50 stat points in Muscle Density. They were happy to see this and were about to take some of their own, but Sachi stopped them. She warned them that there was the possibility getting very sick since they were foreign to the God and Devil System and Grim Ash was just a undead skeleton demon with a high Immunization strength.
Shin took this warning seriously and told the team that they wouldn't consume them until they are back in the safety of the Terminal Lobby where they can get repaired in a worse case scenario. This disappointed a lot of members of the team, especially for those lacking in certain stats, so Sachi, a specialist in making poisons, medicines, and the alike spoke up saying that she could use the Essence Beads as materials to craft a mixture which could safely and more efficiently deliver an increase of stats. Of course she says that she has never tried to make such a positive medicine before (Scary), but everyone looked at her with expectant eyes.
◆ God and Devil System Skill Book - Team Japan were given a few low level skill books, but very few showed a interest in them. They both couldn't compare to the skills in God's Dimension and above all else they couldn't learn them. When any member of Team Japan took a skill book in hand and tried to learn the skill inside, a message saying that "UNABLE TO LEARN AT THIS TIME" sounded in their minds. Jin hearing this suspected that the worth of gaining skills so easily was a demerit, so it was possible they would have to go to the Newbie Village to learn God and Devil Skills.
Shin: "It can't be helped. I'm the leader of this team. The protagonist and your my "Comrade D". There's a clear difference in status my good friend."
Shuai: "Fuck off! Who's "Comrade D"!!!"
Jin: "Hahahah! Shuai, your air like personality really disappears when you get stressed out. Now, enough fooling around. Shin, how about you show us the results of your training? Despite how you look now, you've been practicing Blade Storm and that new altered technique of yours, Fire Bolt Bullet in your spare time, right?"
Shin: "Sure, I'll show you, but I changed the name of Fire Bolt Bullet to Scarlet Bullet. It sounds much better and it reminds me of my first wife to be when ever I use it."
Shin got up and walked away from the others to move to a safe distance to show off his techniques (Absolutely not to get away from Aqua's glaring eyes). To start off, Shin demonstrated the skill Blade Storm with a normal 100 Point sword he exchanged for in the Terminal Lobby. Blade Storm was a Dark Walker Hidden Class skill, as well as its most powerful offensive skill available. It was a sword skill that sacrifices a whole quarter of Shin's current energy, Ki to use, but it's power matched this deep consumption cost. Blade Storm shatters the sword in the users hand to create a maelstrom of sword shards that violently tears apart one's enemy. The used sword for the skill is completely destroyed and quality of the sword strengthens Blade Storm's output and scale.
Shin: "Blade Storm!"
As soon as Shin used the skill, cracks spread like a spider web over the blade. Then, with a flash, the sword broke into countless small shards and raised a vortex, then suddenly, all the sound in the area disappeared. In a space of complete silence that blocked the sounds from outside, the shattered sword fragments serenely embroidered the darkness like the Milky Way. And then, they gathered in one place and shot out in all directions with a tremendous explosion. It was a power beyound imagination just from sacrificing a single sword which no man had the confidence to stand in front of.
Shin: "It's quite flashy, but it's power is comparable to just an RPG except this attack does magic damage. The attack as well is almost unavoidable and it's hard to defend against countless small shards trying to stab into your body. It's only short coming is its range that caps out at thirty meters. If you can get a Magic attack equivalent to a RPG for 100 points I'll call it a fair price, but I already have the infinite ammo Rocket Launcher with Advanced Grade Magic Enchantment from Jin. Blade Storm also has too high of a Ki consumption. That's why I haven't used this technique till now in battle, but with the Replica Tang Sword..."
Shin now took out one of the Replica Tang Swords from the Na Ring with a excited glint in his eyes. Shin personally ranked Blade Storm a B tier sword skill at the same level as his Spirit Wave Ki skill, and under the right circumstances he predicted BB tier, but it was a tricky skill to use. If one uses a cheap sword the power is inferior to a grenade, but using just a 100 point sword could have the confidence utterly destroy a reinforced tank in one hit. As for the Tang Sword superior to normal swords and had a small amount of magic power-
Shin: "Blade Strom!"
As the Tang Sword shattered in Shin's hands a even more violent hailstorm of shards was created. The vortex gathered all the shards in and a large blast dispersed the shards in all directions in a grand explosion that would have wiped out everything thirty meters in front of him.
Shin: "Blade Storms power reaches this level of destruction by sacrificing the Replica Tang Sword, so its proof that sacrificing inferior swords won't show off its value. This attack would shred through my Kagune or Silver Dragon Scales defensive skill. I can't imagine how powerful the attack would be if I dared to use Gravity Blade or the Z-Saber as the sacrifice. Only Aqua transformed in "Silver Fang" could hope to survive. Anyways, these Replica Tang Swords are ideal when I'm using Blade Storm and will become my new trump card. With this demonstration I've gone through five Replica Tang Swords to test the power of Blade storm, so I have five left in reserve."
Hikari: "Great! If it's that power you can certainly kill anyone, evolved zombie or enemy team Player with ease. Now show us your new skill."
Shin: "As you wish. Try not to fall further for me."
Hikari: "If you keep talking like that it'll be the opposite, so get on with it otaku."
Shin: "...Fine. This new technique is an alteration of my recently acquired Fire Bolt magic spell to further suit my needs. It put me at an advantage when you compare me to someone who relies solely on the exchanges from God. According to the Fire Bolt's description and my own experience with the magic spell, it's impossible to increase the output of the spell directly with an increase of additional Ki. This may be do to Fire Bolt being designed as a speed cast spell by conception. The character in the Light Novel the spell originates from could increase the spell's power, but only with a high ranking support magic skill that I remember being 10,000 points and A rank reward in cost in the Exchanges. Unless I have such a skill, I would only be able to directly increase the output by completely redesigning the spell, yet doing so I would lose the spell's speed advantage. Anyways, I've found Fire Bolt to still be a great spell with lots of end game potential, but recently I thought up a way to increase its power, or more accurately bring out more of its potential fire power. The idea here is instead of shooting out Fire Bolt as a streak of lightning shaped flames to strike a wide area, you condense Fire Bolt into a bullet shape for concentrated power, attack speed, and range up to 100 meters which is my current limit. Let me demonstrate."
Shin raised his left hand to shoulder level and had his right hand grasped tightly around his left wrist. Further more to everyone watching confusion he entered the Second Stage of the Genetic Constraint and next he coated his left arm and right hand in Silver Dragon Scales. Then taking a last minute deep breath Shin activated the magic spell Fire Bolt. As the spell manifested and was a split second from shooting out the scarlet lightning flame, Shin entered further into the Third Stage and the scarlet flame began altering it's shape into that of a bullet. The process took a long 8-9 seconds unlike the split second release of the original Fire Bolt, but there was no helping it. He was both not too use to this technique and that the demands of the altered skill was too great. Shin needed the Third Stage to acquire the necessary skill and concentration to craft the bullet shaped Fire Bolt.
Shin: "Scarlet Bullet!"
The crafted scarlet colored and shaped energy bullet floated in front of his left palm, and then set off with blinding seed comparable to a round fired from a high caliber rifle. Only 1/3 of the members of Team Japan were capable of following the bullet, yet none of them had the confidence to dodge themselves at close range. They could only speechlessly watch the scarlet bullet leave a trail of sparkling flame and lightning on its flight path, and finally come to a stop a 100 meters away piercing into the earth, and in a large lightning blast resulting in a new 10×10 meter burning crater in the earth. For those unable to follow they were left speechless by another sight. When Scarlet Bullet was fired the recoil blew Shin backwards almost off his feet. He hanged on in the end, but he was sliding backwards across the earth for over thirty meters and when he finally came to a stop they saw that his left arm was shaking violently and was swollen red. The others watching the bullet fly off caught wind of this and with everyone rushed to Shin's side, with Sachi herself taking the lead to examine his arm. Sachi gently touched his left arm with both hands and when a serious look emerged on her face she took out her golden Xian Enchanted Needles from a jade case and insert them into his arm's acupoints. Then as time passed the muscle swelling of his arm began to reseed.
Shin: "How professional. I forget that despite being a sadist your an alright doctor."
Sachi: "The two aren't mutally exclusive. Also, it has to do more with the needles than my own skill. Regular acupuncture needs constant twisting of the needles to stimulate the points. However, the Xian energy contained in these needles accomplishes this purpose so I don’t have to do it. Still, just how did you ruin your arm like this from using that power only one time? It's not just muscle swelling, but your bones have fractured in a few places as well."
Shin: "There's no helping it. I've tired cushioning the recoil, but this result in a drastic drop in Scarlet Bullet'e power, speed, and range, so I would rather endure the recoil than lose this power. From my test the damage can be lessened by entering the Second Stage for increased arm strength, Silver Dragon Scales as a layer of protection from the burning air from the release, and I can avoid my left wrist dislocating by tightly holding on to it with my right hand. When I first used it every bone and muscle from my hand to shoulder suffered some damage, everything not protected by Adell's Legacy was burned black, and I was blown backwards off my feet crashing into the building far behind me."
Jin: "I see. Then from here its just becoming more powerful so you can endure the recoil. Now, Let me give you my opinion on your Scarlet Bullet. I would rank it a B tier offensive magic skill. It's power and speed is comparable to a single shot midrange C tier Sci-fi weapon which is honestly quite powerful and fast despite its low rank, but since it's magic based it can grow stronger stronger from here and may even gain more firing distance. If you can reach just 1000 meter range with the Scarlet Bullet I'm wiling to call it BB tier. If you can one day reach an attack range of 10,000 meters comparable to the Gauss Rifle's max range in the hands of a master sniper and acquire a bit more destructive power... I'm willing to reevaluate it as a A tier or higher magic attack skill. It's a shame we don't have more time for you to practice this and you can't use this more than twice... Wait, can you heal your arms with you mutation?"
Shin: "I could, but it wouldn't mean much. Fire Bolt doesn't have a high energy consumption demand, but shaping the bullet for Scarlet Bullet absolutely does. I use about 30% of my Ki doing so. If my aim is to win with Scarlet Bullet in a fight with a opponent as strong as or stronger than me, and I'm avoiding the use other draining techniques and weapons, I can only use this magic skill once or twice at best. Heck, just now after using two Blade Storms and firing off Scarlet the one time I have less than 20% of Ki left."
Hearing this Jin seemed disappointed, but he soon got over it. Scarlet Bullet along with Blade Storm with the Replica Tang Sword were power tools for the upcoming battle tomorrow. They had little to do to help the city's preparations, but certainly they would have an important role in this battle. A single individual on the battlefield may not be able to turn the tides of battle in the real world, but here in God's Dimension that wasn't impossible and he hoped Shin could turn the tides of battle if their team's preparations weren't enough for the upcoming battle. Once Sachi finished treating Shin's arm he asked Jin to guess the strength of the other team. They weren't just about to face off against a 3 million strong legion of zombies, but another team that was guaranteed to be stronger than their own.
Shin: “Jin, can you analyze the other team’s members? I don't think we're a weak team as well, so why were we sent into the mission first?"
Jin: “Hm... I thought about that as well. Based on the information we have, as long as a team has or used to have three unlocked member, then this team will encounter other teams, but here we have a advantage. All the core members of Team Japan have unlocked their constraints and have at least reached the First Stage. And there's Aqua at the Second Stage and you our fearless leader have awakened up to the Third Stage. The Genetic Constraint isn't the final factor in a battle, but it's a large factor in desperate struggles. We defeated Team Germany in HxH because of this and we had more unlocked members from the start and by the end all except one of us unlocked the constraint. It wasn't a coincidence that we defeated Team Germany who were more enhanced than us by a large margin and more experienced in battle. This was also our first team battle. Our ability to overcome struggles and death were superior to theirs, so we won out in the end. Now, I personally believe that even if we fought a more overall enhanced team we could wipe them out and maybe without any casualties to the core members. We have a strong and versatile leader holding so much potential that I can't see the limits of how high he can go, three close range fighters with high potential, midrange and long-range fighters, a strong support enhancer, and those with unique abilities hard to come by... but as we appeared first in the mission we are certainly weaker than Team Kenya. Now, there are four possibilities as to why we are rated as the weaker team by God. The first is that Team Kenya is a team with a strong foundation. They are very experienced in battles, have a stable team that's mostly close to full occupancy, and all members have decent enhancements, so their average power is higher than our own. The second and most likely possibility is that God sees us as the weaker team is that Team Kenya has a extremely powerful leader who's strength is above the norm. Someone enough of a threat the would require us to send both you and Aqua to face him while the rest offer support... no that's not right. Anyone other than you two wouldn't have the qualifications to face him and would die if they did. Also, this team is quite small, but they are players who've survived alongside their powerful leader, so they should be stronger, or at least more enhanced than the average Player."
Shin: "...That doesn't sound good. What are the remaining two possibilities, Jin?"
Jin: "The third possibility is the least likely, yet gives us the greatest chance of survival. Team Kenya is a team only slightly stronger than us. If that's the case we only need to face each other once to test our powers and from there we can come to a agreement. Even teams of the Four Pillars wouldn't want to risk fighting us to the death if they don't believe they have the advantage unless they are diehard believers in their cause. Lastly, the final possibility is the one I, no we all hope isn't true. A team genuinely superior to us in quality and quantity of their players. Those like Team Devil and Team Celestial fit this category. Lucky, I don't believe there should be many teams out there that fit this description and God shouldn't make us fight such a team so early on unless we have a chance at winning, as slim as it may be. The third possibility that I mentioned is the least likely and the fourth possibility isn't worth thinking about. I mean, at this stage it would mean a wipe out for Team Japan even if we avoided battle."
Hearing this Shin wasn't too pleased, but with all he could do was to accept the situation he did just that.

In the dead of night in an abandoned city half a days walk from nearing Tokonosu City, millions of zombies had gathered. Well over 2 million normal zombies, a ten thousand of L1 and S1 Zombies, a thousand L2s, S2s, H1s, Hunter Type 1s filled their ranks. At the center of this gathering of undead were the elite forces.
Towering thirty feet tall with the width of a small giant. The extreme power type L3.
Only 5.7 feet tall and were incredibly slender, but possessed muscular and powerful legs. The extreme agility type S3.
Zombie that had mutated into a strange beast that were seven feet tall and walked on four legs, their bodies covered in weird mucus like substances with extremely long tails with sharp claws, the super speed, intelligent, and with the ability to spit out acid that no modern structure could resist against. The Hunter Type 2.
There were only 3 of each type, yet they were the absolute elites of the this 3 million large zombie army, and they served just on individual who was sitting down crossed legged with his eyes closed in the center of the gathering of elites. He looked like a regular zombie, yet his flesh was not too rotten, just pale and could possibly pass as human with the exception of his vacant grey eyes with worms and maggots bursting through. The undead possessed intelligence surpassing mortals wisdom and his mind was connected to each undead of the 3 million zombie army and would move on his say so by telepathic message. A variant of the commander type zombie who could be called an abnormal mutation among mutations. The Mutant Variant Z3 Zombie who lead the great army of undead and was the ultimate target of Team Japan.
The Mutant Z3 was currently having his army rest despite the fact that neither himself or his army required rest as undead with endless stamina, but the Mutant Z3 had his army waiting for a reason. A reason that even he himself didn't understand, but ultimately knew it would be too his advantage. It was then as the clock struck midnight and the tenth day of the mission came an end... an abnormality occurred. Within the circle of elites and not far from the Z3, out of thin air ten humans suddenly appeared on the ground. The elites were alarmed by their sudden appearance, but the Z3 telepathically ordered them to stand down and to only watch for now. For some strange reason the Z3 didn't have any impulse to kill or devour these humans and was most interested in learning why. Of course, if they were too cause any problems he would swiftly order his legion of undead to dine on their warm flesh and blood, yet he was almost certain that this wouldn't happen.
The Z3, elites and other zombies then watched as the humans began to move about. Of the ten only seven stood up right away while the remaining three remained sleeping. Four had dark skin from their African heritage, two white Anglo-Africans, and one Japanese. The tallest one among them who was over seven feet tall, thin yet extremely muscular, black skin and shaved black hair was the first to speak and seemed to be the leader of this group. He seemed easily going by the smile he had on his face, yet no one among his team dared to ignore him.
Badru: "Hmm... To appear with only three newbies, but in a encampment of what you can only call a shit load of scary zombies... Is God trying to wipe us out for the very beginning? A plot to get rid of on of the teams of Blood Crusade? Hahaha! Amusing! There's no way were getting out of this one!"
Badru's tone was easygoing and his words sounded with calm logic, but his happy expression and vigilant eyes told otherwise. From the moment he arrived and saw where they were he was prepared to fight his way out. He was about to do just that as he gathered power in his body. A dense Demonic Power seeped out and surrounded his body and his muscles began to expand rapidly. His teammates all felt his immense aura of strength and took a step back. He was their leader, yet his power was too intimidating to reason with. It was an absolute fear. Even the zombies surrounding who shouldn't be able to feel anything felt pressured as they looked at the tall human revealing a savage smile as he eagerly awaited battle, and only the elite of the zombie army and the Mutant Z3 remained calm. Badru saw the calm expression of the face of the Z3 and smiled. Very few could remain calm when he began showing his power, so he was glad to see that the enemy wasn't all quantity, but quality as well. Then as he was about to take the first step forward-
Badru: "Great! This guy here dies first!"
Sakura: "Wait!"
Stopping Badru from moving forward to kill the Z3 was the sole Japanese member of Team Kenya. A woman in her early twenties with a voluptuous figure, pale skin that's been well taken care of, long vibrant orange hair and eyes. She wore a tight black catsuit covered over a expensive coat even among the Entertainment Category of the Exchange System, and on her back and at the side of her hip were two spears of different colors and lengths. While the other members of her team were fearful of Badru when he was about to rampage she alone approached to reason with him.
Sakura: "First check your watch muscle brain leader! They are not our enemy, but our allies! And even if they weren't what would you accomplish by starting a fight! Team Kenya would be wiped out! Maybe you could escape from here, but what about the rest of us? Think straight before you act! You're our leader for whatever its worth!"
Badru: "...Ah, sorry, but you know the blood just rushes to my head at the thought of a challenge. The last time we got to have any real fun was like five missions ago. Since then things have been interesting, but no real challenges. Even Team Germany backed out of the last Team Battle for us and the other team of Absolute Reckoning were full of weaklings and were wiped easily."
Sakura: "Everyone is weak compared to you. I'm sure that Team Germany didn't want you to kill... Wait, five missions ago was fun for you!? You mean the mission where God changed the format of the missions, I was a Newbie, we were given a twenty man mission and team battle... and it was a team battle against that newly resurrected Team Celestial? That Team Celestial where everyone other than you, me and Hanif died and had to run away for our lives and barley escaped a Negative final score! How the fuck was that fun!"
Badru: "...Well, I rarely get to be cut in half which is an interesting experience. That Genesis Knight fellow is the real deal I tell you and he wasn't even their strongest member, ranking number 2 behind "That Man" who is an abnormality with no blood ties to the founders or their disciples, picked up by Absolute Blade Edge. In that intense battle I got a hint to finally perfect my self-created ability "Rebellion", and also acquired hints about its next to level, "The Juggernaut". That battle also helped me break through to the Third Stage. What's there to be upset about?"
Sakura: "You... You... You Blood Crusade mad dog!!!"
Sakura was about to draw out her spears and impale Badru when the rest of her team members had to stop her. Not only would she lose, but the team would lose its second in command who was the only one brave enough to talk back to their leader. No one had the confidence to speak as his equal and he himself didn't see his team as such with the exception of Sakura. She was a woman in a world dominated by powerful men with few woman can say the same, but a woman who showed remarkable potential and without ever taking the Genetic Constraint stimulate drug had even reached the Second Stage of Unlocked Mode during the last mission, so Badru thought very highly of her. The Genetic Constraint stimulate drug was a wonder drug to accelerate evolution and reach the First and Second Stage much more easily, but if one wanted to reach the Third Stage or higher the drug wasn't a nice option for them. It is said to be a unintended side effect, some say it was intentional to avoid both enemy and untrustworthy allies to gain too much power, but the drug would constrain ones growth and make it unlikely to advance past the Third Stage.
Badru: "Calm down woman. You need to relax. I know that you didn't want to come here. You are a high noble woman of Mass Enlightenment and were supposed to be next in line as the leader of Team Japan and got transferred to Team Kenya of Blood Crusade, but you got to relax and have fun with it. You'll drive yourself crazy, so let have some fun killing some zombies."
Sakura: "Like I said that isn't our mission! Look at your damn watch heretic!"
Badru: "Too troublesome. Also, your language doesn't fit a noble woman, you know. Well, I can't really talk being a man of a noble family from Blood Crusade, black sheep as I may well be, but girls should be more... elegant. Like my own wife. I didn't know how to feel about my arranged marriage, especially with a woman of another race with different skin who was deemed genetically the best match for me, yet her noble heart and beauty truly captured my heart the minute I laid eyes on her. Many looked down on me as a outcast, but she never did and supported me to get where I am today. So yeah, be like her or how you were when you first entered this-"
Sakura: "Who fault is that! The shame and all the headaches I had to endure... I'll kill you!"
Everyone felt the temperature in the area drop to the bottom and a chilling wind swirl aroud them as Sakura entered Unlocked Mode and pulled out one of her spears, a short black lance with a yellow jewel just under the bladed edge resembling an eye. Badru just smiled at her all too real killing intent entering the First Stage himslef and was about to engage her, but one member of the team threw himself between them to stop them. He was a man with black skin almost fully covered by heavy clothing except for her hands which were incredibly skinny and one could see the bone through his skin.
Hanif: "This is no time to fight Sakura and you know that you won't win against him just yet. Leader... Ah, just look at you watch and... please not kill our allies. We have more pressing matters to attend to. Look, this is a team battle with a interesting opponent. I think a few of us missed the notification from God telling us which team had already arrived before us because of the shock from where we arrived into the world. I'm sure you won't be disappointed."
Badru: "Fine. Let's see here... Oh, what do we have here! Hahahaha! Maybe I can expect to get a good fight in after all!"
Badru looked st his watch to confirm what Team Kenya's mission. The mission and Side Quest were okay, but when when he got to the part about the other team a wide grin spread across his face. The man known as a black sheep of his family and sent to God's Dimension to test his abilities, Badru, one of the next generation's rising stars, The Reaper, had already set his sights on his fellow star of the new generation, yet not associated with any of the Four Pillars. The Reaper couldn't contain his bloodlust knowing he would have the chance to clash with the infamous Player of Team Japan.

Most of the members of Kenya were taken back by the news of who their opponent in the team battle was, but not one of them. Badru eyes glowed with excitement at the news of facing off against Team Japan.
Badru: "...Haha... Hahahahaha! Well what do you know. Were up against the infamous Team Japan! The team not affiliated with Mass Enlightenment, Blood Crusade, Absolute Reckoning, or Dove United. The team with the player with first rate talent, Shin. Sakura, don't you think this will be a fun match up? Like you he has reached the Second Stage without taking any drugs to enhance the process. Doesn't this excite you?"
Sakura: "...Irrelevant. The man who high jacked my team and made me team up with you. This man, Shin, I won't be satisfied unless impale him with my spear!"
Badru: "Hahah! Is this your way of showing bloodlust. Excellent. Let show Team Japan the true might of the Four Pillars then!"
As Badru finished saying this he and his teammates received a mental message from the Z3 Zombie. He had nicely waited for Team Kenya long enough and now he called them over to discuss the upcoming battle and their role in invading Tokonosu City. This marked the beginning of the true battle of the mission. The battle of Blood Crusade's Reaper starts now.
