Chapter 67
Termination 12
-:-
An hour has passed since Theo met the Drows and things have been going surprisingly well.
Instead of going straight to the airport, Theo went around the area saving as many civilians as he could.
Thus from the original 8 Drows, the number under his protection has ballooned to 70 men, women and children.
Protecting these people was an impossible task if it was left all to Theo.
Fortunately, he had a very competent support cast.
First were the Drow.
The only reason they were struggling was because of the sheer number of enemies they had to face.
They relied on the Drow wizard for crowd control, but even he has a limit on how much mana his body could produce. Once his mana runs out, the Drow warriors would eventually be overwhelmed.
With the Terminator’s overwhelming firepower on their side, crowd control became much less of an issue.
As such, the Drow warriors displayed their full martial might while the Wizard unleashed spells of pure destruction.
Next where the more than 100 helicopters circling around the city
These were Hassan-i Sabbah marksmen that offered fire support to anyone that needed it.
One of them was BC 10912 or more commonly know to Theo as ‘Old Man’
With their ability to deliver fire support from a safe area, the Hassan-i Sabbah proved that they were more than just assassins
The last but most powerful of his support were the Superheroes.
Around 30 minutes after his meeting with the Drow, the Superheroes finally came in to help.
For some reason, the S ranked superheroes were nowhere to be seen.
In place of that, quite a lot of A-B ranked superheroes came in to assist.
This was actually preferable because their numbers expedited the rescue effort substantially.
And thus, after an hour since his meeting with the Drow, Theo’s group arrived at one of 3 bridges that led to the artificial island where the airport was.
Each bridge was barricaded with whatever vehicle was available in the area.
Manning those barricades were a combination of Hassan-i-Sabbah agents, surviving military personnel, police and local militia.
Behind them were tanks both new and outdated that provided fire support.
Out at sea were 2 C-Class World War 2 Destroyers that were retrofitted into service. They provided some artillery support for the troops on the ground.
All of the tanks and ships belonged to Jabir and all of them received a few upgrades from Theo.
And this is 24% of Jabir’s assets in the Alkebulan Continent.
Imagine just how many assets he had all over the world.
It goes to show that the power of the Midas Alchemy + Technomancer was in the ability to increase the war potential of many.
Theo swore to himself that he would follow this path as well.
For now, the mission.
As Theo approached the middle bridge, a large number of vampire zombies were locked in combat with the defenders that compromised the Hassan-i-Sabbah, local militia and surprisingly, the Valalya warriors.
2 individuals stuck out.
One was Prince Sa’hel in his skin tight silver power armor.
The other one was a full blown knight in shining armor, complete with sword and shield.
Theo felt that he has seen something similar before.
Theo didn't get the time to shift through his memories because some of the vampire zombies decided to change target.
As the vampire zombies charged towards Theo’s group, a stream of 7.62x51mm NATO rounds tore through their front line. Their bodies were torn to shreds by Theo’s minigun.
The Hassan-i-Sabbah air support quickly joined in the fray with a rain of led.
As the vampire zombies got closer, those at the front were suddenly hit by an excessively loud scream. The scream was in the decible that tore flesh and muscle from bones

This was the Drow wizard’s ‘Banshee’s Wail’ spell.
Theo knew from his HAA classes that the Banshee’s Wail success rate was fairly low and it largely depended on the caster’s power to increase that chance.
However, based on what Theo has seen, the Drow wizard had at least 95% success rate.
Whoever this wizard was, he was powerful as hell.
Those who did get to melee range were torn apart by the Drow warriors. It was a mystery how their daggers could cleave through a human sized opponent with ease.
It was an amazing combination of fantasy rpg action and scifi heavy weaponry.
This vampire zombie horde lasted a couple of minutes before the combined might of the barricade guards and Theo’s group completely exterminated them.
Once the coast was clear, the group holding the bridge opened the barricade for the civilians.
As Theo entered the barricade, all of the Hassan-i-Sabbah suddenly bent a knee as if he was a king of sorts.
Before Theo could ask what the hell were they doing, Jabir spoke through the coms.
“Lorne. I know you’re confused, but hear me out. We need to make everyone think that you’re the head honcho of this operation” said Jabir.
“Why?! I already have enough enemies as it is!” complained Theo
“That’s only if you exit your Terminator. No one knows that you’re Theodore Lorne or The Boss.”
“That still doesn't answer why I have to paint a target in my back”
“Come now Lorne. You learned from one of the greatest two faced manipulators right? It should be obvious for you why a 3 meter tall golden giant of pure mechanical power is more preferable to be a leader compared to a decrepit old man”
After a bit of thought, Theo groaned at Jabir’s words.
There was a very good logic to Jabir’s suggestion.
The Terminator signified absolute power.
Theo’s Terminator not only looked powerful, it had repeatedly displayed its ability to wage war. It had an aura of invincibility and incorruptibility.
Enemies of the Hassan-i-Sabbah would think twice of trying to go against such a mechanical monstrosity.
Even if it was a lie, that lie was enough to scare off potential enemies.
“*sigh*... fine. Just be sure to back me up, okay?” said Theo
“Support is my specialty Lorne. You can count on me.” replied Jabir.
After making sure that all the civilians are accounted for, Theo made his way back out the barricade.
Before he could take a couple of steps a jeep stopped beside him and dropped of Pani who was clad in a more stylish version of the white power armor of the Hassan-i-Sabbah.
It would look like a sunday dress if it wasn't a full body armor and helmet.
She knelt in front of Theo before standing at attention.
“Report: Evacuation is proceeding 41% faster than expected. Estimated time of completion: 23 minutes.” said Pani with an active voice scrambler.
“Good. What of the civilians still stuck in the city?” asked Theo
“Mission Status: Finished. Last civilian influx was through bridge number one. Civilians outside the airport are deceased.”
“I see…. Proceed with the final phase of the plan and inform me of Primary 1’s location the second you spot her”
“Yes my lord!”
Pani got on the jeep and proceeded to the airport where Jabir’s An-22 was waiting.
Theo exited the barricade and used his spy drones to scan the city for any signs of the Mad Progenitor.
While doing this, 2 individuals approached him
“Greetings. I am Silver Lion of the Valalya Kingdom. I thank you for your help earlier.” said Prince Sa’hel
It seems that Prince Sa’hel was a superhero of some sorts.
If that was the case, then why hasn't Theo heard of a ‘Silver Lion’ before?
And the fact that Jabir, one of the greatest spy masters in the world, has never heard of him either was a mystery.
Pushing his curiosity aside, Theo decided to grill Prince Sa’hel for a bit.
“Ah yes. You’re that foolish mortal prince that protected Bella Sway. We thank you for making things 1000x worse.” said Theo in a condescending manner.
“T-thats-” said Prince Sa’hel before the armored knight cut in
“My name is Edward Cullet and I beg you to please save Bella!” said the armored knight as he bent a knee.
“Ah yes. Edward Cullet. The fool who refused Nosferatu’s help. On a different note, that armor of yours is quite interesting. It protects you from the sun, but I get the feeling that it’s limiting you somehow. Am I right?” replied Theo.
Edward couldn't react to Theo’s sarcastic question.
”Dont be so quiet foolish vampire. What’s done is done. The deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent life is all thanks to your inability to listen. Impressive.” said Theo in a cold and cruel manner.
Edward shook at Theo’s comment.
Nevertheless, Edward could do nothing but grovel.
“Please! Save Bella!”
“Nosferatu provided everyone a detailed document as to what the Mad Progenitor is. Did you even bother reading it?”
Edward cringed at Theo’s question.
“Please…. Save Bella” said Edward
“I see… you didnt read it. Very well. Allow me to give you a brief summary. The Mad Progenitor is a latent genetic flaw that causes a vampire’s natural regeneration to go out of control. The best cure for this is to prevent the afflicted from becoming a vampire. Another solution is to increase the afflicted immune system to the point that they become immune to any form of virus or sickness. This includes the vampire virus. This process takes 5 years in average. We secured Michele Sway and have administered the treatment on her. Naturally, Vander Cullet is with her and they are both safe.” said Theo
“Then we can do the same thing to Bella?” asked the hopeful Edward
“Of course not. That treatment only works when the afflicted is still human with a much weaker immune system. Now that Bella Sway is a vampire, her immune system will simply brush off the treatment. Bella Sway will die today…. Oh, that rhymed.”
“It can't be! No! There must be another way! I will not allow it to end this way!”
“Foolish vampire. I don't care what you want. The fact is this, Bella Sway is a threat to humanity, thus must be terminated. This is the reason why the Dark Father Cain himself entrusted the Kin Slayer to Nosferatu and me.”
“Maybe I can talk to her! I’m sure I can appeal to her human side!”
“If you want to do it, go ahead. Here is your chance.”
The ground shook as something massive was running at full speed towards the airport.
The Mad Progenitor was a mindless uncontrollable blood sucking beast. The best way to lure it out was to appeal to its hunger.
This was the final phase of the plan Nosferatu, Jabir and Theo came up with.
They would use the evacuation effort as bait to lure out the Mad Progenitor.
Naturally, no one knew of this cruel plan.
Nevertheless, it worked like a charm.
“Time for the finale.”
