Chapter 156- Kingmaker 11

Chapter 156- Kingmaker 11

Theo viewed himself as a person that was satisfied with the simple pleasures of life.

He wanted to take his harem and fuck them silly.

He wanted to collect the coolest guns, the fanciest war machines and the most state of the art weapon system.

He wanted to grow his business and ensure the future of his future children.

He wanted to kill lots and lots of criminals for both fun and profit.

As you can see, his desires were nothing special at all.

Yet despite his humble aspirations, he was forced to fight beings much higher in the food chain.

Theo could not help let out a sigh of defeat.

At the ground floor main hall of the hotel, he and the old man was standing face to face.

There was approximately 10 meters between them, but the old man could probably cover that in an instant.

The nodachi he was wielding was slightly longer than the standard length. Probably around 100cm give or take.

Normally, a swordsman's leathal range was as far as his blade could reach. As long as Theo stayed out of that area, he had a good chance of winning via attrition.

Unfortunately, the old man was a monster that had a Kamaitachi with the destructive power of 120mm smoothborne tank gun.

Quite simply, Theo had absolutely no way of winning this battle.

Mind you, if he had the Terminator armor with him, the old man wouldnt even last a couple of seconds.

Unfortunately, the Terminator armor was still grounded at Vermilion City.

The repairs has been finished for nearly a year now, but the upgrades were another matter entirely.

They were trying something that, as of Theo's knowledge, has never been attempted before.

It was a Brown Theory inspired upgrade.

At the moment, they were trying to place magical enchantments on a purely science based weapon.

With the knowledge that they gained from the technosorcery mind control aparatus used in the Reformant units, Theo was confident that they would eventually succeed in their endevour.

Naturally, it has not been smooth sailing at all.

For that entire 1 year, the failures vastly outnumbered the successes. And those succesful implementations were minor upgrades at the very most.

Nevertheless, it was a worthwhile venture and he could feel a breakthrough was just beyond the horizon.

Till then, he waited in bathed breath till he could use the Terminator Armor once more.

Anyways, back to the matter at hand.

There was no need to beat around the bush. Theo was literally screwed.

What he needed now was to reduce how badly he would get screwed over.

In a desperate attempt to buy time while he formulated whatever plans he could muster, Theo decided to talk.

"Before we begin, I never actually got your name." said Theo

"Oh? Ah. You are correct. How rude of me. I was so focused in judging my stupid grandchild's performance that I forgot to introduce myself." said the Old Samurai. "My name is Suichiro Yagyu. I once held the name 'Jubei', which can only be wielded by the clan head."

"You're no longer qualified as clan leader? Really? Call me skeptict but I dont believe you."

"Why is that?"

"Dude, you're strong enough to rival the top S ranked Superheroes. I cant comprehend why anyone would kick you out of the leadership position with your monstrous strength."

"Hahaha. You are exactly correct. I was not removed from my seat. I simply decided to retire."

"Why would you do that? Doesnt the clan head get a lot of perks and stuff?"

"That is true, but I am ill fit for the politics of the modern era. Back in my day, things were much simpler. If an enemy presented itself, we murder him and everything else within a 1 kilometer radius. Nowadays, there were national and international consequences for such actions. I find all the rules a pain to deal with. Thus, I decided to push all that headache to whoever wanted it."

"I understand. I actually deal with those same annoyances myself. By the way, what is the Yagyu clan? I'm not particularly familiar with it."

"Of course you're not. The Yagyu Clan is a demon slayer group that existed since the samurai era. Unlike the Hero Alliance, we operate exclusively in Zifang. However, there has been a push from within the ranks that we join the world stage. Since I did not like the idea of an unelected beurocrat on the other side of the world to decide what I can and cant do, I decided to abandon the clan entirely."

"Wow. Then I guess you're no fan of the Union of Nations?"

"Indeed. It served its function after the second world war. Now, it is the largest criminal organization in the world. Anyways, I think your delaying tactics has wasted enough time now, dont you think?"

"Ugh... Was it that obvious?"

"Very. Now then, LET US BEGIN!"

Theo dodge rolled to the side with all of his might as Suichiro Yagyu performed a golf-like swing.

As he expected, it was a Kamaitachi.

What he didnt expect was the sheer power of it.

The vertical strike tore a large scar all the way up to the 7th floor.

Upon seeing this, Theo made the following faces:

(O_O)

(-_-)

(T_T)

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" exclaimed Theo as he ran around while full autoing his ARX 160

Suichiro deflected what he could, but it didnt really matter that much since all of the bullets simply bounced off his skin.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted without the author's consent. Report any appearances on Amazon.

Clearly he used a Chi based damage negation as his primary defense.

"That was nothing more than the opening act. Show me what you're made of Boss!"

Suichiro lunged at Theo with beastial speed and rained blows upon him.

Even without using the Kamaitachi, each swing had the force of a hurricane. It felt like an artillery shell touchdowned near Theo every time the nodachi slammed into the ground.

Theo dodged like he has never dodged before.

The old samurai may have said that he was going to 'test' Theo, but the force of the strikes were definitely meant to kill.

Clearly he did not care if Theo lived or died in his test.

Theo would be in a murderous mood by now if he wasnt so terrified.

Staying in melee range was suicidal, but he was also fairly confident that Suichiro would instantly catch up with him if he tried to retreat.

As such, Theo decided to pull of a risky move that may end up very badly for him.

Instead of retreating, he moved in closer to the storm of blades.

Once he felt that he could no longer get any closer without dying, he unleashed his omni directional flamethrower at full blast.

Even with Suichiro's overwhelming defense, the pain of having one's eyes burned was agonizing.

Suichiro tried to douse the flames by blowing them away with the hurricane speed of his slashes.

Unfotuantely for the old samurai, Theo used Purgatory Napalm that he created a long while ago. These flames would not be put out that easily, especially when Theo was adding more.

Suichiro screamed in pain as the flames assaulted his more fleshy bits.

Theo capitalized on this opportunity for a hasty retreat.

He used his grappling guns to escape vertically.

However, Suichiro was one of those instinct fighters.

Before Theo could leave his sword's range completely, the samurai threw a wild vertical swing at Theo's general direction.

Expecting something like this, Theo used his left arm to receive it.

The force was so great that it threw Theo all the way to the 23rd floor where he violently slammed into a concrete barrier.

Once his omnigel healed his wounds, he continued climbing the hotel as fast as he could.

A couple of seconds later, a powerful beastial roar shook the hotel.

Thanks to the camera on the back of Theo's armor, he did not need to stop climbing to see what was happening below.

The fire was blown away with the sheer force of the roar.

Standing at the center of the main hall was something that looked human.

It was approximately the same height as Suichiro but its skin was jet black. It had fancy white samurai themed armor and a helm with 2 very large horns.

"To think a mere human would force me to use this form. Well done young one! Well done! Allow me to properly introduce myself. I am Kamaitachi, The Oni of Gales! As a token of respect, I shall fight you with all of my might!" said Suichiro with a booming voice that reached all the way to the top of the hotel.

Theo could not help curse at himself.

He shot himself right in the foot with this one.

Suichiro was already messed up strong as a human. Now he has a second form?!

How could Theo have known that the old samurai could go super saiyan?!

It looked cool and all, but that also meant the pain he would be experiencing has significantly increased.

For the first time since their battle started, Suichiro took a stance.

"Gale Blade 1st Form: KAMIKAZE!"

Out of nowhere, a tornado level gust surged through the hotel.

The air pressure was so great that it tore concrete pillars out of its hinges.

Naturally, Theo was caught in it.

The pillar of air hammered Theo like a brick wall and slammed him into the cieling at the 70th floor, which then erupted like a volcano, sending debris into the night sky.

Theo landed hard on a large metal beam that survived the onslaught.

His trusty armor that has survived many battles had, many slash-like holes on it.

The right side of his helm was intact.

The only reason why his body was still in one piece was because he constantly flooded his body with omnigel during the entire duration of the attack.

"Amazing.... Simply amazing! To think you remain whole even after taking the Kamikaze head on while I am in this form. You truly are amazing Boss! This proves my earlier speculation. You are more than worthy! I welcome you to the Yagyu Clan my friend!" Said Suichiro as he slowly rose from the ground floor.

"So he can fly too? What the hell man...."

Theo was exhausted, in severe pain and was very very angry.

He initially wanted Suichiro to be a friend, similar to the relationship between Theo and Nosferatu.

From the looks of things, this path was still most certainly open.

But Theo would not have it.

He has read in martial arts novels of scenarios where someone would attack another to 'test their abilities'. After the fierce battle, they became comrades and friends.

However, he was no martial artist.

He also believed that there was only one type of person that could bring him so close to death: An Enemy.

And he has a habit of killing his enemies.

Driven by anger and violent rage, Theo activated all 3 of the archon batteries on his left hand in preparation for his counter attack.

Suddenly, Theo felt something was off.

He became extremely dizzy and his mind felt like it was hit by a sledgehammer.

An unexplainable pain shot throughout his body. It was as if he was on fire.

He was terrified of this unexplainable pain.

Though confused and delirious, Theo's mind somehow decided that Suichiro was the culprit.

This pain and suffering he was experiencing was somehow the old samurai's fault.

There was no logic behind this blame.

Only a desire to murder the bastard by any means.

-:-

Suichiroi immediately felt something was wrong.

It was dark and cloudy night. The moon and stars were nowhere to be seen.

Yet for some reason, golden light was peeking through the thick cumulus clouds that blanketed the sky.

He was also shocked to see that his opponent was engulfed with golden flames.

He initially thought that it was a malfunction of the flamethrower that was used on him earlier, but he quickly dismissed this.

The flames had an unwordly feel to it.

He also noticed that the opponent's left arm was evaporating.

It was as if it was being sacrificed for something.

The sound of turning gears echoed through the night.

The sound of a massive metalic door being opened.

And then, Suichiro saw it.

Approximately 500 meters above the hotel was a slightly opened gate

Peeking down from the small opening was a pair of blood red eyes. They glowed unnaturally, as if they were machines.

He could see it clearly, but he could have sworn that the 'thing' was a massive skeleton made of golden steel.

He noticed that The Boss was motioning as if he was about to throw a left punch.

He found this weird since he was 30 meters beneath The Boss' current position. Not only that, the poor lad no longer had a left hand.

Maybe the golden flames has taken away his sanity?

Suichiro realized that this was not the case.

The golden skeleton in the sky was mirroring The Boss' movements.

And when the Boss threw his punch, a massive golden left arm shot out of the gate.

The size of its fist was just enough to completely crush the hotel in one strike.

Suichiro was amazed and terrified.

As the golden fist came crashing down, the last thought in his mind was the question...

"Whose wrath did I just brought down?"

-:-

The capital of Eldorado shook as hundred thousand tons of golden metal crushed the Fando-Kibris Hotel into a pancake.

The pure kinetic force was enough to trigger the first magnitude 10 earthquake in human history, though it only lasted for 5 seconds max.

No structure came out of it unharmed, though the death toll was suprisngly small given its magnitude.

Naturally, many was able to witness the sudden appearance and disappearance of the golden hand from heaven.

Later this would spread like wildfire through the net, and eventually the whole world would begin speculation as to who or what was that.

Juno Saiga, on the otherhand, could not help but giggle like a little girl at what she just witnessed.

She was a bit annoyed with the timing when her water broke, but just because it happened doesnt mean that the labor pains would immediately follow.

At the moment, she lying on a bed inside the An-22 that was flying over the Eldorado capital.

With a laptop by her side, she was able to bare witness to Theo's magnificent performance.

"To think he would open the 'Realm of Steel' on his very first try. Even I cant pull that of at the hieght of my power. But then again, he is the Machine God. It is his realm after all. As expected of my darling. Fu fu fu."

Juno took her phone and dialed the number of a good friend of hers.

"Hello Shale? How many died?" asked Juno

"All 100 of them. Damn you Juno, what kind of god damn spell did you cast to completely drain 100 elven mages dry?" replied Shale in disbelief.

"I casted nothing. It was all m husband's handywork"

"And what did he do? Summon a god or something?"

"Fu fu fu. Something like that."

This was Shale Vaultmos, a Drauger (evil dwarf) slave that ended up becoming one of Junos closest friends and allies.

He was a master daemonsmith and one of the people Juno brought during her invasion of Atlantis.

He was also the one Juno trusted to pull of some fairly questionable assignments.

For example, this spell was that they used to feed Theo mana was a significantly smaller version of the human sacrifice they used in Atlantis to disrupt Nyarlathotep's power.

When Juno suggested to Theo about baracading the area around the hotel, this was also create a large magic circle.

The most magically inclined Reformants equipped with a staff made by Shale was positioned at set intervals around the baracade.

They were to channel all that mana into Theo via prayer.

This was partially an insurance policy prepared by Juno.

She may not be good at seeing the greater picture, but her instincts was very attuned for danger.

She had a bad feeling about this operation, thus came prepared.

The other purpose of this was an experiment to measure how much power the current Theo could manifest.

Juno was once again impressed of how much her beloved has exceeded her expectations.
