The armoury was dark with candles being the only source of light to reveal the outlines of racks of weapons that were all around.
" Do you see that far off corner there?" She said and pointed to one of the corners where only a few things gleamed in the darkness from the candles. " Those are already reserved equipment. Don't go there and other than that you're free to roam everywhere here. Archer gear is on the left side, bows are at the back with arrows. The middle row is for warriors and the last row are quest rewards. It should be without saying that you don't take anything from the third row. " I nodded at her words. "I'll wait for you here at the door." She added.
I walked to the First row. Leather and some mail armours were placed all around. A lot of them looked to be worn. With dents and holes in visible places. I walked to the back where the bows were and right opposite of them were quivers full of arrows.
I did a cursory look at every bow before I touched one that seemed to be in best condition.
[ Bow ]

Other players probably already took all the good ones for themselves, but everyone has to have a dream. So, I continued to look through the bows.
After all a bow is a lifeline of every self-respecting archer. It's not like there's no other way to branch out, but it's unlikely it won't involve a bow in some way.
There were a lot of different bows to go through. When I was through the half of them. I found a longbow that looked to be crumbling. The bowstring was loose, the wood charred and with cracks all over.
[ Longbow of Tears ]
Quality - uncommon
Damage - 20
Durability - 1/30
Trait - Give it your all- If fully drawn get a 50% increase in damage. -1Durability per shot
I took it out with care as to not damage it more than it is.
I also took the first bow as a normal weapon to use until I got the longbow repaired. Next I took one quiver of some normal looking arrows. It had 30 arrows in it.

I went back to the start and handed all my equipment to her. She took it and without a word started on fiddling with the magic marks on them.
" I took quite a lot of equipment. I'm thinking that I should take a couple of quests so that I can be of some use."
She looked at me and said " Sure, but first of all go get yourself a dagger." I did as she told me and took one of the daggers that was in the Warriors section.
" That's so that you can bring your loot back somehow. I'd also recommend buying a backpack, but that can wait until you have enough money."
I stared at her waiting for the quest to pop up. I think I spoke right for It to pop up.
" Don't look at me that way, if we had some backpacks here. I wouldn't mind giving it to you. If you want you can empty one of the quivers and use that instead. Just make sure to put the arrows in one of the barrels at the other side of the rows."
" No, it's fine I think I'll manage as It is. You know, I don't want to get slowed down by weight as I'm fighting." I said and she went back to fiddling with her magic.
A backpack I think only the beta players used them in testing. But there were a lot of complaints and gameplay issues that devs had to make something about it.
What they came up with was a feature that functioned only on materials and scraps. It made It so that after the player had slain someone, instead of pixelizing and dropping the item. It would instead hover a hologram of the said item in the air. If picked up It would shrink into a small cube.
She tapped me on my shoulder as I was thinking before handing me the equipment. I asked her if I could equip It now to which she nodded. After I was done, we went out.
When we got to the hall she went back to her post at the reception. I went straight to the Quest boards that were at the side.
The tables near It were empty and nobody was around it.
Most of the quests I saw were monster killing or about gathering plants or other resources in the Dungeon.
At first, I went and got an old book from the bottom of the board. I skimmed through the first pages until they started to talk about the first Dungeon Zone.
Based on the Dungeon guide I picked up a couple of spider and centipede quests. The first layers are a maze of tunnels with giant insectoids.
The insectoids would be fine, but the tunnels will give me trouble with me being an Archer.
Unfortunate that for each class in Tier 0 there's no minimal amount of active skills, but I guess you can't bully Devs for everything. Those actives having prerequisites like killing two people with one arrow and such. I think that ability is named [Cupid's arrow] and as I heard It’s completely broken.
Back to the matter at hand I picked them up. Tasks were to kill 5 of each monster and to loot one of their mandibles for verification. Each had a reward of 5 silver. That'll buy me some bottles of booze and maybe something will be left over.
I asked the receptionist if I could leave the longbow to them for safekeeping to which she agreed and took it. After that I headed out.
