" Is this some plan of yours?" Stella said.
" What do you think? Now we have to get to the Dungeon biome if we want to get away from them."
" Can't we take them on?"
" Do you want to? I can hold my ground and fire while running around, but I don't know about you."
" Let's not do that."
" Thought so. Continue running down we should get to a place where a lot of tunnels converge. Then that's a short run from the Dungeon biome."
" What's the Dungeon biome that you're speaking about and what happens if the tunnel doesn't converge?"
" It's a large clearing in the ground that has any kind of weather, plants and animals." I looked at her while running. " If this tunnel doesn't have a point where it joins with a lot of tunnels we're lost or worse a dead end is waiting for us."
The spiders chased us down the tunnel. We outran the baby spiders but the big ones still continued to be on our heels.
They weren't that fast to keep up with us but the environment of the Dungeon made it possible. The terrain was uneven with rocks and glowing moss all around. Waiting for us to slip on it. We had to take extra care to get through these obstacles which slowed us down.
I was at the forefront as I was making another turn through the tunnel I found the tunnel to be getting tighter and a wall at the end. I turned around, bow pulled full force and let go of the empowered arrow.
It streaked through the air and took out two legs of one of the spiders. We retreated further back until my back hit the wall.
" Go forward and intercept them, it's alright only one spider will be able to attack you at a time."
She stepped forward shield held in both hands, prepared to meet the counterattack. It came as one spider jumped at her. Standing her ground, I shot an arrow, but the spider jumped again. My arrow missed and grazed Stella’s thigh.
She was pushed further back when a cracking sound was heard. The ground below us collapsed and we fell into the pitch darkness.
We weren't falling for too long before we hit the ground.

The moment I hit the ground a sharp pain could be felt in my stomach. Because of that I looked down and saw a stone spike sticking out from my gut.
But before I could be solving the reason why I became a kebab meat. I heard a hissing sound coming from behind me. Checking it out I saw a spider with two of its legs missing. Dragging its body to myself.
I tried getting myself out, but it was for naught. Pulling myself resulted in me, being afflicted more pain. I returned my sight to the ever-slow enemy.

As for getting any type of weapon was out of the question. My bow was nowhere to be seen while my arrows are all over the ground. The only thing that could help me now was my dagger.
" Ei, you've got it just another ten meters to go."
The spider only hissed at me in something. I don't know can't speak spider.
" This way I'll be here all day before you roll here. Put some spirit into that."
It hissed at me.
And so we continued our meaningful dialogue until it was a mere meter away from me.
" Now that I can look at you from so close. You look quite cute. How about we don't go to extremes and kill each other. Look I'm sorry that I shot you, but I had my reasons."
It didn't care for what I had to say as it attacked me.

But I hold it of with my dagger in its jaws. It went limp before it could go on nibbling on my fingers.
I saw a sword pierced through it and on the other side Stella.
She had a mix of blood all over her-some from her other spiders- and a trail of blood coming down her head.
" You don't know how glad I'm that I see you."
" Before you bleed out and die can you please tell me some tips on how to get out of here."
" I'm not going to die."
" Yes, that's the attitude, but how would you go about it?"
" As I said before I'm not gonna die. Just get me off this spike and we'll talk and rest."
She gave me a pitying stare.
" I think the blood loss is getting to you."
I commanded her to get me down which she did. We sat down on the floor and bandaged each other up.
" This wound can look scary, but don't worry I'll be fine in a while." The system is my indicator of health not my body. Even if it plays a part. The only thing that I should be careful of is not getting any more damage.
Because before the wound doesn't heal my HP won't recover. If I had more endurance it would be a lot quicker.
Our stomachs growled in the silence. The only food available were the remnants of the spiders.
" How is it that you survived the fall in such good condition."
" I landed on a spider that jumped on me."
" Oh, ok."
I laid back and closed my eyes enjoying the silence.
" Raven, are there trees in the Dungeon."
Not a long distance away stood a wilted tree.
" We're no longer in the tunnels of the Dungeon, but managed to get ourselves to the Dungeon biome."
" That's good. We can get out after you're healed."
" How about you get my bow and arrows?"
" Yeah, I'm on it."
It would be good that we're in a Dungeon biome, if this was the biome that they were talking about in the guide.
It was supposed to be a lush forest with animals and goblins in it. Where the Dungeons ceiling was shining and not some creepy forest. With wilted trees, fog all around and no lights to go with it other than some glowing moss here and there.
Worse is there's no knowing what we're going to encounter. It's good that we managed to find a new biome with a possible relic. But one has to have strength to get said relic.
Stella came to me and gave me my weapons.
" So, what's the plan."
" We'll avoid the centre and move along the edge. The closer to the centre you get the stronger the monsters are gonna be. At the end is a guardian."
" If it's a guardian, what does it guard?"
" A relic. Ever heard of it?"
" No what's that?"
" Why do you think humans and other races go into the Dungeon."
" To kill monsters so that monster outbreaks don't happen and no people are harmed."
" That's one of the reasons. But the main being powerful relics. Magical items with unusual powers. There's no second of such item. There are certain countries that were built thanks to them and still stand thanks to them."
There were a couple of players that had them. Each one of them was on the leaderboard and a separate unofficial list was made for them. It was a glorified kill list with only a small amount of people that managed to stay there for a long time.
I had the fortune of stealing one relic. It didn't have any stats or anything of that matter and was rated unique in Quality. The only trait it provided was a infinite storage for stolen HP with life-steal.
I managed to go for a long time without being killed. But in the end, it wasn't a player that killed me, but a NPC. It was some good for nothing prince and his Tier 5 guards that overwhelmed me. The relic helped me a lot, but you can't heal up if you're one shot and so I fell.
