The storm rabbit was now on a roll. It took him longer than usual but he eventually managed to get past the defences of the monsters on the ninth floor.

It was about time. He really wanted to round up the numbers in his stats as that had been annoying him. Gaining more levels and points was also great as well. Calculating quickly with his high [INTELLIGENCE], the bunny put two into [AGILITY] and [DEXTERITY], and three into [PERCEPTION]. The final eight points went into [VITALITY]. After nearly dying again, it felt reassuring to up the main attribute keeping him alive. Happy with his choices, he looked over his status screen.

The light green glow that washed through his body at the confirmation always left him feeling refreshed. With that taken care of it was time to turn his attention to the latest discovery.
Elite Monster – [SUPREME YOKAI ONI] – Dungeon Boss – [LEVEL 56]
He didn’t know why it had taken him so long to come across another boss. Was there even a system to it? Something to find out later. He had considered trying to just pass onto the tenth floor, but the boss almost seemed to be guarding the exit. It would wander away for a short while, but it wouldn’t be long before the boss would once again pass in front of the exit.
His [VAST VISION] was really helpful this deep into the dungeon. Though still a monster, this particular boss leaned more towards a humanoid looking appearance. It was roughly twenty foot tall with deep red skin. The entirety of its eyes glowed magma and a cloud of dark smoke puffed out with every breath. It had short, curly black hair and two onyx horns grew from its forehead, curving like a semicircle. Its only clothing was a pair of ragged pants with a few scorch marks on them.

Since it was humanoid in shape, the rabbit wanted to at least try talking things out first. The chances were low that a boss monster with such power would cooperate, but who knew? He hopped up to the top of one of the taller rock mounds, levelling his [CLIFFWALKER] ability in the process and bringing him eye level to the oni’s chest. Looking up he slightly projected his voice. “Hi there, would you mind if I pass by you to reach the tenth floor?”
The boss stopped and stared at him for a while. Then it smiled and huffed like it was laughing at an inside joke.
“Looks like she wins this round,” the boss initially spoke to himself, before turning his full attention to the questioner, “I have no quarrel with you, you may pass. Understand that through this action, I have submitted myself to you by my own will. I am now yours to command.”
The sovereign froze for a moment, startled by the reply. That had been way too easy.
“What do you mean by ‘she’? And why would you submit yourself to me? I’m not that much stronger than you and you’re clearly a variant just like me.”
He smiled softly with expectation. “Reach the final floor of this dungeon, and you will have the answers to those questions.”
This answer only left the bunny puzzled. How would clearing the dungeon help?
“Well then thank you for your cooperation” the storm rabbit said uncertainly.
Without further ado the exit was taken. It felt like there was a barrier at the exit this time but he passed through absent of any trouble.

The flash of notifications wasn’t much of a warning for what dropped out of the air in front of him. Upon closer inspection, he found three small purple disks. Hovering them in front of him revealed that two had question marks inlaid on both sides. Did they use question marks in this world? Or was it because he himself was from Earth?
The other disk, however, was inlaid with the image of a basic humanoid body. The only exceptions were the barbed tail and two horns protruding from its head. Demon contract token. Pretty obvious and on the nose. So how did he use these? Focusing on the tokens, a message immediately popped up.
*DING*
Would you like to submit 3x Contract Tokens?
[Y/N]
Holding his breath in trepidation, he selected yes.
*DING*
3x Contract Tokens have been consumed
[WARNING] Protections are in place. Contract tokens are 100% effective.
In an instance where the contract is forced without consent (97% Probability), the summoned may intermittently break through the protections to lash out, dependent on the summoners level compared to the summons’.
Summoned beings can not level until their summoner exceeds the level they were contracted at.
Contracts are permanent. Only the death of either the summoner or the summoned will end the contract.
Oh shit. What kind of reward was this! There were protections but the protections might not hold? The contract will always go through even if the contracted being doesn’t want it? Why!?
Before he could ponder on his current plight any further, three different magical circles big enough to fit an elephant appeared in the tunnel. There was a green one, a blue one and a purple one. It was truly panic mode now. What grade was what colour again? And what levels were in what grades? In this truly terrifying moment, he couldn’t remember. Magical energy rushed around each circle as the tags appeared first.

He only had a moment to process the information before the contracted beings had fully been summoned into existence. They seemed just as surprised as he was that they had appeared. The demon prince was already enough to take him on if the ‘protections’ were to fail, and the spirit queen was also a much higher level, but it was the [FALLEN IMPERIAL FAE]’s level that nearly gave the little bunny rabbit a heart attack.
The thoughts came to him in a daze as the demon and the spirit leapt at him in anger, claws outstretched. Apparently, they had realised their situation and come to terms with it quite quickly. The spirit was beauty incarnate. She had crystalline, purple hair, eyes, nails and wings. The wings reminded him of a monarch butterfly’s, except for the colour and that they were transparent. Everything else looked human apart from her skin, which was a sky-blue colour and undulated in a fashion similar to water. The dress she wore was elegant and slim fitting, seemingly made from purple flower petals. Her hair was done up in a hairstyle that he would consider fit for a royal ball.
Both the demon and the fae were also human shaped. The prince had very light red skin, long, dark crimson hair and ruby red eyes that were slitted like a reptile’s. The outfit he wore reminded the rabbit of noble style clothing from the eighteen hundreds. Dark red coat and shoes were paired with a frilly black shirt and slacks. A ruby brooch was pinned in the middle of the neckline. Ruby rings, cuffs and earrings completed the outfit. His face had gone from blank confusion to a rage filled grimace that showed off all four of his fangs which were similar in shape to a vampire’s. The hazy processing continued as he saw that the claws of both the lower levelled summons had pierced a transparent sphere which had formed around him. His emotions were currently too muted to feel any despair or terror at the failing ‘protections’. Realising he would soon be dead, the bunny glanced over to his final summon. If he’d had time to think and communicate, he may have grovelled a little before the being that had surpassed the minimum threshold to become an [EVERLASTING], like his [PATRON].
The fae could likely kill him much quicker than his current murderers. Despite this, he still took what he was sure would be his final look. A tired man looked back at him with weary and despairing grey eyes. He wore two or three layers of ragged robes that were also grey, but a lighter shade. His shoulder length, dark green hair was messy and matted. The taught, caucasian skin was smudged with dirt marks. The storm sovereign was about to die any minute, but in that moment, he felt like the fae who had sat down in weariness upon being summoned, wished to swap places and end it all. How tragic.
