Left over lightning tinged with black skimmed the ground before slowly petering out. The pouring rain slowed to a drizzle before coming to a stop as well. Then, finally, the initially dark and now white clouds began to disperse. With that, the few remaining frogs that had managed to avoid being fried to a crisp, escaped with their lives. The storm had not only managed to get rid of the enemies amongst the vegetation, but also made the frogs already in the pond flee for safety as well. Turns out frogs didn’t like scary storms or their consequences. Especially when the scary storm accidentally had [GRAVITY] magic funnelled into the spell while trying to keep the affinity strands separate and also trying to split and use more than one strand all at once. Who knew? This was why both the clouds and lightning had had a black hue to them. It wouldn’t have surprised him if even the raindrops had been dyed the colour. Rather than just a regular storm the magic had become a gravity storm which had seemed to make everything in the vicinity move slower, like there was a weight on each of their backs. He would have to experiment at a later date and see if he could make the effect only affect enemies.

Now, to assess the notifications. Apparently using a particular base affinity well enough would allow other branches of magic connected to that affinity to be unlocked. That was awesome. Magic for the win. The levels were kind of expected but that didn’t mean they weren’t appreciated. Taking a look at his fresh stat sheet he decided it would be best to put his spare points into [VITALITY], [WISDOM] and [PERCEPTION] again. Two more in each attribute would bring his last low stats up to eight. He could feel the amount of mana he could use swell as the point allocation was confirmed. Although he’d really wanted to focus on [AGILITY], he already had points automatically going into that attribute each level. Ever since he started to get a feel for his magic the rabbit had felt the connection between his pool of magic and [WISDOM]. With that in mind, he’d decided that from now on he would be stocking up his spare attributes into the magic related stats, [INTELLIGENCE] and [WISDOM]. There might be a few here and there for [VITALITY], [CHARISMA] and [PERCEPTION] but overall, they would probably get left behind for now.

Next on the list… [PATRON]? [EVERLASTING]? Comments? This was all new and probably way above his current pay grade. He’d come back to this in a moment. Moving on. So he could take some of Rey’s [EXPERIENCE] if he earned above a certain amount. The bunny guessed this happened between all higher and lower classed connected nobles. What a crappy system. This would make the lower-class nobles work twice as hard for everything they earned. Not fair at all. Then again, that’s life. And death too really when you think about it. Getting back on track the bunny selected the [NO] option.

Seeing that was the end of the list of his notifications he decided to double back.

Now curious he selected [YES]. A chat screen instantly opened up in front of him, it skimmed back over what he hadn’t read, all the way to the top where the conversation started.

[########] comments: How can such a stupid creature do something so complex? [IMPRESSED]

[########] comments: Are you blind? It was a complete fluke. The spell nearly exploded in its face. It might have wiped out half of the dungeon floor but it would have been compressed along with them. If it had even the faintest sliver of [INTELLIGENCE] it might have felt how moronic it was to add [LIGHTNING] and [GRAVITY] together. That alone would be scary enough to something so weak but it went another step further. [WATER] and [GRAVITY]. Does that thing even have a brain? [SCOFFS] I bet twenty Drokma it’ll be dead within the week.

[########] comments: It was greatness! It was awesomeness! It was epiphany! BOOM! I also bet twenty Drokma. No doubt. Death within a week. [IMPRESSED]

[########] comments: You idiots realise someone actually has to oppose your Drokma with their own in order for a bet to work. Luckily for you I think it will survive a whole two weeks before it unlocks [MONSOON] magic. Then it will die. However as most of my assets are wrapped up in sponsorships, I will only be betting ten Drokma. [IMPRESSED]

[########] comments: I do not know one way or the other. I will say it was a rare sight though. Even if it was a fluke, having that many affinities unlocked incidentally is quite the miracle. Just imagine studying a creature with five affinities. It also used [LIGHT] mana earlier, but that is to be expected with a [HORNED RABBIT MONSTER]. It’s a pity reaching our status forbids us from interfering with beings that haven’t reached maturity yet. [TISK] Only six more levels, but I don’t think it will reach that far. It would have been such a good study. It might even have furthered my research. What do you think oh [SILENT DEATH]?

[########] comments: It may survive. But I suggest you all leave it be. Strongarming something so far beneath us is quite pathetic, no matter the circumstances.

[########] comments: Yes.

[########] comments: Of course.

[########] comments: If that is your wish [GREAT ONE] then so be it.

[########] comments: Agreed.

[########] comments: Indeed.

[########] comments: [SILENT DEATH] did you see the BOOM! It went crackle! It went roar! Will you bet as well?! It is good to play! You are a [GREAT ONE] yes? This bet will be GREAT! You must join. Let us play with coin!

- ALL CURRENT IN THE CHAT AGREE

[########] comments: No. Why? Play! We must all play!

[########] comments: I place fifty Drokma on the rabbit completing the dungeon. Yes, I have noted that the bottom floor has a Level 100 boss.

[########] comments: YES! We shall play! We shall see how far it goes! This is fun!

[########] comments: We all thank [SILENT DEATH] for humouring him.

- END CHAT

Despite the mysteriousness of the participants the actual chat was informative, if a little insulting. Except for the [SILENT DEATH] guy, he seemed nice enough. [ARGOS] was obviously a loose cannon by the way the others reacted, but he didn’t seem to have directly nefarious intentions. If anything, he sounded like a lot of fun. It was the creepy research person he needed to keep an eye out for. That one sounded like trouble with a capital T. He did seem to acquiesce to [SILENT DEATH] though. Focusing on the chat screen he tried to access it. No luck. It seemed this comment thing was purely for these so called [PATRON]’s to use for discussions about a particular subject. As he hadn’t been mentioned directly and with the way they spoke about him, he assumed they didn’t realise he was sentient. Now how was he going to use this knowledge to his advantage? And how long would he be able to keep his true nature hidden?
