The last two notifications actually appeared in his vision for a few moments when he awoke before disappearing. He found the skill notifications on the right side of the screen connected to the third dot along with these two. It appeared similar to a system log of sorts.
The left of the third screen also appeared to be skill related. At the very top stated ‘Unspent Skill Points: 1’. Under that was what looked like a search bar, and looking underneath the bar was a list of available skills to purchase. There weren’t very many, he was still an infant so of course there wouldn’t be. The real kicker though was that all but one of the skills was out of his apparent budget.
Available Skills:
[DOUBLE JUMP] – 2 Points
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
[FORCEFUL KICK] – 3 Points
[BLOODHOUND] – 2 Points
[BASH] – 3 Points
[CLEANSE] – 1 Point
It seemed that the offensive skills cost more while other skills came at a discount. There weren’t any defence related skills on the list so he wasn’t sure where they stood on the points scale but he imagined them leaning towards the more expensive side as well. Trying to focus on the skills for more information didn’t work, however, an explanation popped up just fine when he checked his already owned skills on screen two. Turns out he got some pretty badass skills to start, but you can’t try before you buy on the third screen. He needed to think on whether he should wait for a better skill or buy the one he could afford.
A little active now, he and his siblings had begun to explore the burrow. Roger was even more active, crawling through tunnels and passing other mother rabbits with their litters. As he did so he noticed that everything around him was very sanitary. Pondering on the abnormality he soon recognised why there was such cleanliness. It was the [CLEANSE] skill of course. Most bunnies able to access the skill shop would pick the first skill they could get their paws on. What a great skill. Deciding then and there in the middle of a main tunnel he obtained [CLEANSE] and then cast it on himself. There was a bright light that washed over him and then faded. “Woah…” it seemed to be light based magic. “So Cool!” It reminded him of being in a spa bath with the jets and everything except even as the feeling lingered he was all dry and fluffy. His fur even looked like it had been combed and his breath tasted sweet, like berries. Yes. This was definitely the correct choice. Faith in the skill shop restored Roger turned around and headed for his family. After a stern look and a soft ‘flap’ on the head from Mother’s ear for straying too far, he laid down and once again fell into a blissful sleep.
Up! Up again and ready do some more exploring. He was moving around even more now. Quick learner he was. He needed to guard his siblings after all. A stern warning from Mother about being out for too long before she shooed him away and then he was off. His surroundings weren’t the only things he was exploring. A see through screen was splayed in front of him as he hopped along. He found the automatically distributed points went into [STRENGTH], [AGILITY], [DEXTERITY] and [CONSTITUTION]. He decided to place his remaining point into [VITALITY]. First question, where were the defense and heroic skills he was promised? He didn’t really have much room to complain what with all the other skills he really shouldn’t have for his level. But still, he distinctly remembered that his future vessel, the him of now, would get to choose a skill of those natures. So, where were they?
Next query. Maybe his memory of the before was a bit foggy so he could’ve remembered wrong. However, the description available for his ability [WHIMS OF THE WORLD] clearly proved him right sooo… Where the heck was his [LUCK] stat? It wasn’t in his status sheet. The only reason he could think of as to why it wasn’t listed was maybe because you weren’t allowed to add attribute points to it. He’d heard isekai stories like that before after all. Still, it was a bit weird that it wasn’t even shown. Confusing thoughts aside, what he really wanted to know was coming right up ahead. The question that had been burning in the back of his mind. Dungeon or infested forest? The answer…
Slowly and cautiously crawling out of the entrance to the burrow he found his answer. Up above was the roof of the cavern, glowing a crystalline purple and blue. It looked like something that would be profitable to mine. Lowering his view he found more of the glittering crystals lining grey blue rocky walls. That is where the beauty of the place ended. Snakes, foxes, rats, frogs and many animals that resembled creatures of earth and yet were not quite the same. Blood, guts and roars of pain filled the large cavern, including those of his brethren. “If this isn’t a dungeon, I don’t know what is” the baby rabbit thought as he cowered in fear by the entrance doing his best to stay unnoticed. In an instant he was a few paces back behind the entrance safe in the confines of the burrow. Without stopping to wonder about his good fortune Roger turned around and raced for the deeper tunnels not even glancing behind once.
