First up [LIGHTNING], take that all the way up to 100%. It had served him well up to now, and hopefully even better in the future. Out of curiosity he tried to add even more proficiency. Nada. 100% was the limit. [WATER] had also been useful and [STORM] magic was the goal so [AIR] affinity was raised as well. With three affinities at 100% he was feeling pretty good about himself. Now, how to distribute the remaining 30% proficiency. Initially he decided to stick with the rest of his chosen affinities for the remaining amount. On whim he decided to get [DARK] affinity and gave up giving extra to [SPACE] and [GRAVITY], instead adding 10% to the new affinity. It would be interesting to test how the [LIGHT] and [DARK] affinities interacted with each other and the environment. There was so much to discover!
You have chosen the following affinities and proficiencies:
[WATER] – 100%
[AIR] – 100%
[LIGHTNING] – 100%

After confirming there was a rush of power even greater than before. It was exhilarating. Opening his eyes, the [SOVEREIGN ADOLESCENT HORNED RABBIT] once again heard something he wasn’t expecting.

[LIGHTNING DOMAIN] has reached Level 1
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
Calculating, the rabbit found that his allotted points had once again been increased. Not doubled, but each level now gave an additional point per attribute. Now each time he levelled up he would receive 3 points in [STRENGTH], [AGILITY], [DEXTERITY] and [CONSTITUTION] as well as 3 spare. Distributing the extra points, 2 points each went into [VITALITY], [WISDOM] and [PERCEPTION], bringing them all up to 6. With the overall increase in stats the bunny felt himself getting more and more powerful. Brilliant, it was brilliant. And to top it all off a new skill was granted. It turns out pumping as much [LIGHTNING] as possible into the pond had counted as creating a domain. Who knew?
Putting all this aside the awesome rabbit felt very, very hungry. Not for milk, he was grown now after all. It hadn’t been all that long since he’d slain the dungeon boss, right? It should still be where he buried it. And if he cooked it through with [LIGHT] mana the poison shouldn’t have as much of an effect, right? Right, of course. He didn’t have [FIRE] mana right now but maybe he’d be able to pick it up later. Besides, half of wielding magic was intent anyway. If he wanted [LIGHT] mana to cook, then cook it would. Mmmmmm. He was already picturing the medium-well done spined turtle lizard steak awaiting him.
A new goal was set and he activated [STEALTH] and [MINOR TELEPORT] so as to not wake his family from their precious slumber. Being woken up was the worst, he wouldn’t dream of putting those he held dear through that experience. Forgoing hopping, the hungry bunny used [MINOR TELEPORT] all the way to his previous victory site. As he passed, some of the rabbits were staring at him as if he were a strange oddity. Not letting the stares get to him he chanted “I’m late, I’m late! For a very important date! With an ever so lovely steak!”
More weird stares. Oh well, they weren’t his problem. He had much more important things to worry about. Teleporting along he finally arrived only to be greeted by an egregious sight. In front of him was the spot where he had buried the spoils. Apparently while he was gone something had dug through the vines and the dirt and begun to devour his future steak but then fallen unconscious. The something was a small fox. Unlike the other foxes he had seen this one had mostly white fur while its paws and the tip of its tail were orange.
At first, he had been quite disgruntled by the thievery until he saw the true state of the things. It was a wonder it had managed to survive this long. Matted fur, ribs clearly visible and bite marks all across its body that had clearly torn fur and flesh alike. Weirdly though they weren’t bites intended to kill. The bites reminded him of that time his Dad had taken Roger to see a family friend when he was young. When they’d arrived, he had realised right away that she was a cat lady through and through. Spending time there had made him think he would be a cat gentleman one day. Turns out he really liked animals. Or at least cats. While his Dad and the cat lady had chatted Roger had just sat around and played with the many kitties. While playing he noticed that there was one cat that was constantly bullied by the others as they would nip at the poor thing’s fur and scratch at its face. They wouldn’t leave it alone. When he had asked the cat lady about it, she nodded sadly with understanding before explaining that the battered cat was a new stray she had taken in but he didn’t fit in so she was trying to give him away to a good home. That day Roger left with Mittens in his arms, obtaining the best cuddling companion ever. Memories resurfaced and overlapped with the fox in front of him.
Making a decision he dug a small burrow down into the side of a stone ridge. Then, carefully he lifted the fox with [AIR] mana and carried it down where it was warm and safe.

Cutting up the meat further he stacked it and then took it and the bones down the burrow to store. Once finished he covered the entrance in vines and then waited for the scrawny thief to wake.
