Yù Quán was speechless. Wasn’t this too good? In essence, it was simple and only gave him the ability to do something he would get naturally in the future, but that isn’t what he was thinking of. The sheer amount of information he received from this ability alone was incredible. Darkmoon Villa? Qi condensing? Foundation Laying? These were all things he knew too little about yet were likely in his distant future, and now he knew them. He would be sure to commit these to the mind palace.

As far as the technique went, he had never seen qi condensation before, so that he couldn’t tell. He had seen qi made into shapes, like in the Supreme Wolf Bite of the Supreme Wolf Sect, but the shapes were wispy and transparent. Would this be a higher level than that? Like A more solid shape? He could see how that would make the attack more potent; it likely packed more qi into the same-sized attack. He didn’t think he needed this ability that badly, maybe for a full-powered attack, but not much else. It was likely more for strengthening weak attacks, like when the night cultivators fight during the day. At least, that was before it was deduced.

Yù Quán had a wide grin. He checked his points, and he had a decent amount, especially from his law enforcement duties. They all counted as side and secret missions for some reason, despite him not having any quests. It could only mean that they were for his main quest, to find the person responsible for the Cult of the Almighty and get revenge. But what did that mean? Would he find them through this method? Or did they have something to do with Blossom Fall’s underworld? Only time would tell so he wouldn’t worry about it for long.

Yù Quán was a bit confused by the difference in points. Did every deduction not increase the point value? Yù Quán thought for a moment and then decided that it seemed about right. The system likely calculated the cost of points based on what was being deducted and what he was deducing it from.

It will use a similar amount of qi as qi condensing, but qi compression maximizes potency output to strengthen attacks. Because qi compression relies on qi control and not the power of the qi or core, this technique can be used as long as it is a form of qi.

“…What?” Yù Quán said in disbelief. Yù Quán's face lit up with excitement, and a wide grin spread across his face. Sure, some other people might be more excited for a crazy powerful technique that had to do with space or something, but Yù Quán understood that improving on the basics would always do more in the long term. Right now, he literally had a technique that would push the boundaries of what the basics were even capable of. He would likely use this as long as he would use qi, and when would there be cultivation without qi?

Yù Quán didn’t hesitate and immediately learned the technique. As he pressed a button on the system, it was like a torrent of knowledge pouring into his consciousness like a waterfall. As the information came in, he could remember what he needed to do. As always, he still needed to put it into practice. But without practice, he was able to achieve 25% compression. From what he learned from the system, until he could completely compress qi, it would do less damage for the same amount of qi, meaning that as he got acquainted with the technique, the damage output and efficiency would improve by leaps and bounds.

Without anything else to do at the moment, Yù Quán decided to get some practice in. He started with a basic qi filled punch. As Yù Quán gathered qi in his fist, his hand felt heavy and electrified, as if he were holding a ball of pure energy. As he punched out, the force of the qi caused a tingling sensation in his fist. As he punched out, a loud crackling noise erupted from his fist, the sound of qi releasing from his body and into his strike. He purposely directed the qi so that it would be sent out as a fist light, but as it flew towards the tree he aimed it at, he noticed that a portion of it looked like a solid object. It was still transparent and wispy, but it now looked closer to glass. The portion that was solidified seemed to be two knuckles and a bit of the fingers.

What followed was a loud boom sounding from the impact and a sizeable crater left in the tree. This wasn’t a crazy amount of strength for Yù Quán. A crater the size of a softball in a dragonwood tree trunk was probably something he could manage at 30% power. What surprised Yù Quán was the fact that that was a casual punch with barely any qi.

“Isn’t this too strong? If 25% compression is this much improvement, how much will it be once I completely learn the technique?”

Yù Quán shivered at the thought. He quickly got back to practicing. In the far future, this technique would likely become a decent buff. But right now, it was the strongest power up he had gotten so far.
