"Harry, what are you talking about? There's nothing in front of the carriage!" Ron exclaimed, turning his head in surprise to look at Harry, confused about what he meant by a horse, and a skinny one at that.
"What? But there is clearly something here, can't you see it?" Harry said, dumbfounded, pointing at the spot where the Thestral was located in front of the carriage.
However, Hermione, Ron, Cho Chang, Marietta, and Penelope all shook their heads in unison.
"I don't see anything, there's nothing there."
Harry opened his mouth in silence, pondering whether he was going crazy.
"There is indeed a magical creature in front of the carriage, but it's not a horse," Lin Yue's cold voice rang out, her expression unchanged as she looked at the others.
"The magical creature in front of the carriage is called a Thestral. It has an excellent sense of direction, can fly with its wings, and only those who have witnessed death can see it. In front of those who have never seen death, it is invisible."
The six of them fell silent simultaneously, looking somewhat helplessly at Harry and Lin Yue.
There was no doubt that the two of them could see the Thestral; Harry could see it because his parents died in front of him.
As for Lin Yue... it was certainly because she had witnessed her own death.
In fact, what they didn't realize was that Lin Yue had seen more than just her own death.
During her more than ten years of living in the original world, Lin Yue had seen students attempt to resist the enforcers more than once.
Without exception, those students were shot dead on the spot by the enforcers, right in front of Lin Yue's eyes.
"Alright, alright, let's not talk about this anymore. Everyone, hurry up and get on the carriage," Harry finally broke the stalemate, reaching out to push Ron onto the carriage.
Hermione pressed her lips together and stepped forward to gently wrap her arms around Lin Yue's waist, leading her onto the carriage, with Cho Chang and the three others following closely behind.
Of course, they knew about the magical creature known as the Thestral, but after all these years at Hogwarts, they had never realized that these carriages were pulled by Thestrals.
As they arrived at the gates of Hogwarts Castle, Professor McGonagall opened the door as usual. While guiding the young witches and wizards to enter the school one by one, she also waved to Lin Yue, who was being embraced by Hermione.
"Miss Lin Yue, could you come here for a moment?"
Hearing Professor McGonagall's call, Lin Yue turned her head and, up to realizing it was her calling, she unhesitatingly changed direction and walked over. Hermione still had her arm around her waist as they approached Professor McGonagall together.
"Good evening, Professor McGonagall," Lin Yue greeted politely, with Hermione following closely behind.
"Good evening, Miss Lin Yue, Miss Granger."
Professor McGonagall's expression softened, and after nodding, she looked at Lin Yue with undisguised concern in her eyes.
"Miss Lin Yue, I've heard about what happened on the train. How are you feeling now?"
Lin Yue blinked and nodded seriously, "I'm fine now. Professor Lupin gave me some chocolate, which really helps alleviate the negative effects of the Dementors."
"I'm really glad that our school's Defense Against the Dark Arts professor finally came through for once."
A voice quickly approached from a distance. Madam Pomfrey, while speaking, drew her wand and cast a series of diagnostic spells on Lin Yue.
"Fortunately," Madam Pomfrey smiled and nodded, "there's really nothing serious. Just make sure to get a good rest tonight."
"That's good to hear." Professor McGonagall sighed in relief.
"Filius is very worried about you," Professor McGonagall said, ruffling Lin Yue's hair, "but he has to oversee this year's first-year sorting ceremony, so he couldn't wait here for you. You'll see him when you go into the Great Hall in a bit."
"Okay, thank you, Professor McGonagall, Madam Pomfrey, and I'm sorry for causing you trouble."
"I'm very sorry."
Lin Yue sincerely lowered her head, and her respectful and humble demeanor made Professor McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey feel uncomfortable.
Which professor or doctor would want to see their student or patient in such a... such a "submissive" state?
Students are meant to be taught and cared for, not to be used to elevate one's own status.

Mutual respect is the foundation of politeness, but excessively belittling oneself can still make the other party feel uneasy.
Professor McGonagall took off her wizard hat and gently patted Lin Yue's shoulder.
"You don't need to be so polite, Miss Lin Yue. Go on in to the Great Hall; the new students will be arriving soon."
"Okay."
Lin Yue nodded expressionlessly. After thanking Professor McGonagall and Madam Pomfrey again, she walked towards the Great Hall, cradled in Hermione's embrace.
Upon entering the Great Hall, Lin Yue felt Hermione release her waist and turned to look at her.
Hermione's face flushed slightly as she cleared her throat. "Ahem, you should go sit at the Ravenclaw table. I have some things to discuss with Professor McGonagall."
"Alright."
Lin Yue replied indifferently and walked towards the Ravenclaw table, where her classmates had left a spot for her.
Sitting between Cho Chang and Marietta, the two older girls immediately began to ask about Lin Yue's health and what Madam Pomfrey had said.
"I'm fine," Lin Yue's voice was flat and unchanging. "Madam Pomfrey said I just need to rest well for one night."
"Ah... that's good," Cho Chang sighed in relief and reached out to smooth Lin Yue's hair.
"Let's learn the Patronus Charm this year," Marietta said, leaning over Lin Yue to speak to Cho Chang, completely unaware that her proximity was causing Cho Chang's face to slowly turn red.
"Sure," Cho Chang nodded in agreement, trying to control the heat on her face.
Penelope, sitting next to her, looked at her younger classmate's flushed cheeks and smiled knowingly.
Oh dear... it seems Cho Chang is indeed at the age where she might want to fall in love.
"I can teach you both," Penelope said with a smile, having successfully cast the Patronus Charm herself.
"But Penelope, you're taking your O.W.L.s this year. If we learn from you, won't it interfere with your studying?"
Cho Chang turned to look at Penelope, feeling a bit uncertain about whether they should trouble her senior.
"It's okay," Penelope said, her smile growing wider, "This summer, with Lin Yue's help, I've organized my notes, and I've memorized all the key points. I've also tried all the types of questions."
"I'm confident in the subjects I've chosen; I've received excellent grades."
"Impressive," Cho Chang said, giving a thumbs up in admiration.
Penelope shook her head, indicating Lin Yue, who was sitting next to her. "It's Lin Yue who's impressive, not me."
To be honest, the notebook Lin Yue gave her for review was like having the O.W.L.S exam paper and the examiner right in front of her.
It made her feel so clear about how to tackle the questions that if she still couldn't confidently aim for excellent grades... then it would really be a matter of her not putting in the effort to study.
Meanwhile, Hermione stepped out of the hall again and approached Professor McGonagall. Seeing that the first-year students had not yet arrived, she let out a big sigh of relief.
"Miss Granger? Is there something you need as you come out of the hall again?"
Hermione's blush deepened as she lowered her head, feeling a bit guilty.
"Um... Professor McGonagall, last school year, Professor Dumbledore mentioned preparing a bed for me in Ravenclaw, in Lin Yue's dormitory. Can I go there to sleep at night?"
Professor McGonagall raised an eyebrow and looked down at Hermione, who was trying to suppress her laughter, and teasingly said,
"It seems our good student from Gryffindor is about to be taken away by Ravenclaw~"
Hermione caught the teasing tone in McGonagall's voice and raised her hand to touch her nose. "How could that be, Professor McGonagall? I've always been a student of Gryffindor."
Unable to hold back her laughter, Professor McGonagall elegantly nodded. "Of course, Miss Granger, I can't think of any reason to refuse you pursuing your feelings."
"But... I think you should understand that you both are still young?"
Understanding the implication in McGonagall's words, Hermione hurriedly nodded.
"Of course, Professor McGonagall, I just... just want to spend more time with Lin Yue."
As Hermione spoke, the blush on her face had already spread to her neck, and it seemed to be continuing to spread.
Seeing her student who was almost "ripe," Professor McGonagall shook her head with amusement and decided not to tease her any further.
"Go on, Miss Granger, and keep an eye on Miss Lin Yue as well. Make sure she doesn't study all the time, and definitely not stay up late studying."
"Okay, I’ll remember that. Thank you, Professor McGonagall."
Hermione nodded happily in agreement, a smile unconsciously spreading across her face.
Professor McGonagall nodded, signaling Hermione to return to the Great Hall, and she turned to open the Hogwarts castle door that had been closed.
After receiving the concern from the three senior students, Lin Yue followed the gaze she felt and looked towards the staff table.
Professor Flitwick was holding the Sorting Hat, smiling kindly at her.
Lin Yue returned a polite smile and nodded in acknowledgment to Professor Flitwick.
The Great Hall door creaked open, and Hermione walked back in, taking her seat at the Gryffindor table.
With so little information, Lin Yue couldn't deduce why Hermione had specifically gone out of the Great Hall to find Professor McGonagall.
However, their gazes did meet in mid-air.
Lin Yue blinked her eyes indifferently, while Hermione smiled brightly at Lin Yue.
Before long, this year's first-year wizards began to line up and walk into the Great Hall.
Lin Yue glanced at the little wizards and began to silently memorize this year's History of Magic textbook in her mind.
As Professor Flitwick called out the names of the little wizards, one by one, they stepped up to the teacher's desk to wear the Sorting Hat and receive their house results.
Whenever a student was sorted into Ravenclaw, the Ravenclaw wizards would give a warm round of applause in unison. This made the new little wizards feel a sense of warmth that they could hardly suppress.
Especially for the little wizards from the Muggle world, their anxiety about leaving home and the familiar world behind to come to this strange "world" was significantly eased. After all, the enthusiastic applause from the Ravenclaws clearly indicated that they would be very kind to these newcomers.
What reassured them even more was that, thanks to the special arrangements made by the Ravenclaws, they were seated next to seventh-year Ravenclaw seniors. The already mature Ravenclaws skillfully comforted the new Ravenclaws, as if they were soothing their seven-years-ago selves across time.
This not only alleviated the anxiety and apprehension of the little Ravenclaws but also gave them a greater sense of recognition and belonging to Ravenclaw.
Once the little Ravenclaws were calmed down, the Ravenclaw seniors began to introduce Lin Yue, who was affectionately referred to as the "Ravenclaw treasure."
Listening to the seniors' introductions, the little Ravenclaws curiously looked in Lin Yue's direction. She was bowing her head, reciting the History of Magic textbook under her breath.
The first-year little Ravenclaws were completely puzzled, "Is this senior very impressive?"
"Very impressive, no, she should be exceptionally impressive."
"That's right, with her help, Ravenclaw has won the House Cup for two consecutive years."
"And they are ahead of the second-place house by several hundred points."
The seventh-grade students were discussing the significant achievements Lin Yue had accomplished over the past two years, each sharing their thoughts. In her first year, she protected her classmates by defeating a giant, and at the end of the year, she prevented the theft of the Philosopher's Stone. In her second year, she single-handedly destroyed the Chamber of Secrets of Slytherin, killed the Basilisk, and received the Special Contribution Award from Hogwarts.
The first-year little eagles swallowed hard, their eyes filled with fear and uncertainty as they looked at the expressionless senior.
Merlin's ballet shoes... a first-year student killed a giant? Wasn't that the same age as them? Killing a giant? That was truly shocking.
Seeing the expressions of the first-year students, the seventh graders smiled gently. They then explained softly, like true older siblings, that Lin Yue simply didn't show expressions and couldn't express her feelings well. In reality, she was a gentle and friendly person; no matter what questions others asked her, as long as she knew the answer, she would respond.
The second-year students sitting next to the seventh graders nodded in agreement. "Last year, we were just like you, both in awe and afraid of Senior Lin Yue."
"But later on," the second-year students exchanged glances, revealing identical smiles, "we discovered Lin Yue's true, soft inner self."
Even when she herself was still stuck in the mud, she was willing to leave her back to others, helping them cross to the other side.
"Without a doubt, Senior Lin Yue is someone we can rely on," they told the first-year little Ravenclaws, "but equally, she is someone we must protect and cherish. This is the legacy of Ravenclaw, belonging to us."
"You will understand soon."
The first-year little Ravenclaws nodded in confusion, but when they looked at Lin Yue again, the fear in their eyes had vanished, replaced by deep curiosity and a hint of admiration.
